Instead of making auto attacks fancier, they should make the rest of the skills worth using.
Yeah I know I request these like every few weeks but I am still waiting: Aetherblade armor sets, PLEASE. Every weight!!! Please? What should I do, cry or kneel or both?
I can totally relate! I had a Sylvari that I grew to dislike her face and hair. I used the makeover kit and made her beautiful. I was so happy I didn’t have to delete her and will keep playing her and take screenshot of her. I love it.
Exactly! When I joined GW2 I restarted my main (Necro) many times because I wasn’t happy with the race! First I was Sylvari but I wasn’t happy with the face / hair options. Then I became a Norn but they felt boring after a while. Then I tried Asura but the clipping killed it for me. Then we finally got new Sylvari faces / hairstyles and I found something I liked so now I’m happy with my Sylvari Necro!
I just reeeeeally want to finish that amazing mix-n-match I came up with, lol… -throws money at Anet-
Wow, is the look this important so you don’t even play the game? Seriously.
If I could finish my new look, it would motivate me to be more active, yes. I have no other goals in the game right now so I just don’t feel like playing until I get that skin. So what? Is it really a surprise in an MMO that is mostly about collecting skins?
I know, right? I totally feel your pain, OP! I came up with a new look for my Necro 6 weeks ago, I need the Aetherblade Light Armor to finish it. I even bought the Gems with real money. At this point I don’t even feel like playing without my new look so I’m playing an other MMO and I only log in to GW2 on Tuesday to check the Gem Store update, lol.
Wow, people really carry all that stuff? :O Meanwhile, I only carry the salvage-o-matics and Terrace pass (in shared slots) + one stack of food and Exalted Keys on my main. Nothing else. I guess I’m weird…
No interest in this, other games do it better.
Well, the good thing is that it would be optional. Like, I’m not interested in raiding, other games do it better… :P
They should add different personal instances in the future, small instanced parts from Tyria so we could decorate them, just like dimensions (housing) in Rift. The current Home instances are not optimal for decorations because there’s not enough space to put stuff in there, especailly if people fill them up with nodes. Not to mention the prebuilt stuff like houses, lab, etc. What if my Sylvari wants to decorate a snowy cave for herself? We need different kind of personal instances. I know that’s a lot of work and might never happen but I can dream, right?
I agree!!! I want housing in GW2 so I could finally quit Rift. It’s literally the only reason why I still play that game, I only log in to build/rebuild my stuff, lol.
Some games are better to watch. Some games are better to play. This game is better to play than watch, for me anyway.
There are no games that are better to watch. :P Watching others having fun is not fun, lol. But then again, I hate watching sports too…
~Park in a safe spot to go use the restroom, come back to find account suspended for being afk.
Wow.
My thoughts exactly…
Yes conditions are ridiculously out of control in wvw and pvp because they are not properly and separately balanced from pve.
Exactly. They should separate PvE from PvP/WvW and adjust skills accordingly. Conditions should be less painful in PvP situations and “PvP skills” like Necro’s Spinal Shivers should be more useful in PvE, etc…
Please bring back the world boss daily.
getting 2g a day just for logging on
No, you gotta do the daily for that!
I agree. Either remove them from dropped loot completely or let us salvage them into dust which would only take one inventory spot instead of many…
I know, right? It annoys me so much when the eyebrows don’t match the hair color.
I’m glad my favorite race has no eyebrows on most face types (Sylvari). x)
Not only Necro but every profession in the game: Lower cooldowns significantly on every weapon (AND utility) skill then remove -cd TRAITS and add traits that are more FUN, remove signet passives and add an account-bound passive system (something like Planar Attunement in Rift). I love how “modern” the Revenant is, low cooldowns and no silly -cd traits, we need a full profession revamp in GW2.
This is awesome! Too bad I’m scared to edit wiki articles, I would break the whole page. #JustComputerNoobThings
I prefer the new ones except for the annoying fact that I cannot skip them.
You have ranged weapons on Heavy professions like Rifle on Warr, Scepter on Guard and Hammer on Reve. But you really shouldn’t have a problem with melee weapons either. If survivability is an issue, you could always try wearing gear with some defensive stats.
As a Sylvari fan, I find this amazing! Thank you!
Hmmm, maybe it IS in the game but even more rare to get than those invisible shoes!?
Start that hype conspiracy train now guys!!!!..
Lol, no, the GW2 wiki page of Canach’s backpack says it’s “future content”. But why did they add it to the wardrobe many months ago? Probably to tease me because I want that backpack for my Sylvari… -_-
I know, right? -_- And then there are skins which are not even in the game yet, like Canach’s backpack… They added it to the wardrobe like a year ago, still no way to get it.
I just don’t understand Anet’s logic behind this, lol…
Last night I finished the Jumping puzzle which is not a jumping puzzle but a gliding puzzle. Had a good time doing it but no because was a fun puzzle but because I was doing it with some guildies. The puzzle is not “fun” cos you don’t know where your next step should be. Gliding blindly around rocks hoping to find a spot to land is not fun. The old puzzles are much better. The one in Mistlock Observatory is much more fun even if it’s (too) easy and small.
I really love jumping puzzles, especially the hard ones but this one is just meh.Can I also add onto this that there were several parts of the JP that were frustrating, not because they were hard but because it felt like a stroke of luck that you would “catch” on the rock or slab that you had to land on and stick.
They were either slightly too high or slightly to close to the wall and I felt more like I was randomly flailing around and hoping I didn’t fall rather then making a calculated jump to get to a hard place.
The end result was rather then having fun with a challenging puzzle and feeling like I accomplished something I just felt relieved that it was over with and I wouldn’t have to do it again.
I felt the same way about this. Funnily enough, while completing it – someone in the same instance mockingly regarded it as “Glide & Slide”.
These are the reasons why I deplore jumping puzzles in this game: the collision boxes on the geometry used fight against the controls and there’s no intuitive way to know that what you see is what you get. Either the collision geometry needs to be improved to real platformer quality or GW2 needs to stop pretending that it’s good at doing what’s done well in actual platformers.
This exactly. The JP design itself was amazing (I loved wandering around in the center of a volcano it felt fun and dangerous), but once I got to the actual jumping part it was little more then endless frustration and annoyance.
It’s the same problem I had with all the jumping and gliding in the HoT maps. I hated taking a risk that the platform I was trying to hit wouldn’t actually be there and I would fall right through, or the slope that looked like I should be able to land on it had me slide right off to my death. There were parts of the JP that had me landing on rock sides that looked like it should have been too steep to hold me and had I not used a guide I would have never known I should go there.
There’s no real good way to know what areas will hold you and which will slide you right off of them and with a JP that requires checkpoints because it’s so long and difficult that makes it really really frustrating rather then challenging. People can say what they will about the Aetherblade or Clocktower JPs, but at least it was better telegraphed which platforms would hold you.
Also the camera is a huge problem. Again it’s not fun to try and make tiny specific jumps on uncertain platforms while having to look through the back of your head.
^^^^^^ SO TRUE.
I agree! SW is a popular map.
Necro might need improvements here and there but I don’t get this whining about Shroud. If you want blocks and stuff like that, play an other profession, I love Shroud the way it is.
Lies. I just tried it on my Shadow Assassin outfit and nothing happened.
Some outfits have separate pieces, some don’t.
You mean some Outfits can turn off shoulder parts for real? O.o Which ones? Screenshots, please!
And you can now hide shoulders and gloves!! Woohoo!
Lies. I just tried it on my Shadow Assassin outfit and nothing happened.
Necro: Support. Self+ally buffs (might, fury, other boons), better self+ally heals because the Blood Magic trait line is underwhelming.
I completed Ember Bay yesterday. This morning Ember Bay map completion shows 87% and all 5 Heart were reset to Zero. I knew the hearts would reset but the 87% completion was a surprise. (Knowing Anet, it should not have been)
Oh well, I’ve completed Ember Bay once, and that’s enough!
Yeah, it might be a bug. I definitely don’t want to do the Hearts again, haha…
I don’t understand why they keep ignoring this problem. Lots of people hate the shoulder armor on outfits and won’t buy outfits because of it. ArenaNet is throwing money away.
Exactly. :c
It dropped below 100%? I find that weird if they won’t let you get a reward for achieving 100% again…it should stay at 100%, even if the Hearts reset.
Yes, I finished Ember Bay completion yesterday and now it’s at 87%. I don’t even care about the rewards anymore, but I have 100% on every single map because I’m a completionist (at least when it comes to maps) so I find this annoying. XD
Aw. :c Then my Ember Bay completion should stay at 100% because I find it annoying that it got lower when I logged in today and I don’t feel like doing the Hearts again, lol… Thanks for the answer.
So now that we have repeatable Hearts in Ember Bay and they count for map completion does that mean we can finish them again every day for completion reward and a chance for a Key (because the map “resets”)?
Edit: Fully discovered Ember Bay map becomes 87% the next day after the repeatable Heart reset. BUG???

Thank you, Gaile!
We’ve been asking for this since forever and still no change… But yeah, I agree (again).
The new map is awesome for people who like volcanic stuff… It felt somewhat boring to me but I prefer snow and jungle. x) Still, it’s a nice big map!
The instanced story was fun but there were too many “collect items” missions on the new map (at least for my liking).
Overall, I liked it but it won’t be my favorite episode to replay. Sorry for my bad English.
I agree. As a mainoholic, I only play with one character in every MMO. I don’t have time and patience to level up, gear and unlock stuff for alts.
(Edited typo).
(edited by Mea.5491)
OMG, yes… I always close my eyes right before I view a vista… Hurts my eyes so much. Edit: You might want to post this in “GW2 discussion” as a suggestion… Because not many people come to this subforum. :s I see suggestions over there all the time.

I know, right? I’ve been waiting for the Light Aetherblade armor set to come back just to finish the new look I came up with a few weeks ago… -sighs-
First I didn’t like HoT, now I’m okay with it (after the big patch early this year). But I will never like the mastery system. Unlocking things that should be basic features (autoloot, infinite gliding, etc) is lame.
Ohhh, I see… Thanks for the info.
You mean the enemy’s home point?
So, I recently got into PvP and I play as a Thief. Sometimes people ask “Thief can close?” and I’m too scared to ask CLOSE WHAT? because I don’t want people to know that I’m a noob so I just act like I don’t speak English… Seriously, what am I supposed to close?
Multiloot with guildies.
They should rename it to Lobster’s Arch.
My biggest problem with wells is their cooldowns. They should be halved, at least in PvE. Long cooldowns are boring.
I wish we could hide both AP and mastery points because they encourage elitist behavior.
I used partial Settlers at one point – it can work. I’m currently ripping apart my ele for the third time to get him where I want him. He’s the only toon I can’t get sorted comfortably
Ever tried Celestial? Fun stuff! XD
