what is stopping you from going to another city? serious question. what existing convenience did they remove that wasn’t already more convenient in other locations?
If i want to do fractals and need to retrait for that i have to go to another city to do that as there are no trainers in the vigil keep.
Ok that is a valid point, I was only thinking of crafting and banking and such. you got a good point there

They’re releasing quality content for a game that costs no monthly to play. Personally I think it’s ok they make some money, they deserve it. I’d rather they make money so they can keep releasing quality content, rather than go the ways of SOE games where people pay for expansion packs and still don’t get quality content.
There has been $53.75 worth of gemstore merchandise put out in the last 7 days, not including the passes. Charging for new things they have made is fine, but removing an existing convenience and placing it behind a paywall is just a shady business decision.

Where is the problem? just go to another city to craft. there are some that are better set up for it than LA was anyways. getting players into the other cities is a good thing.
My crystal ball says expansion this early summer, they will be the new playable race.
I support this idea. As of now engies can never reach the ascended level damage with their kits. Since we only have access to 3 weapons , a lot of use our kits most of the time.

Well neither did I cause did it before WXP existed.
That said, yeah. my bad. I should have clarified that you actually needed to participate or help in even the tiniest fashion to get the WXP from capping towers/keeps etc. Dont even have to fight a real person, PvD works. If you didn’t actually do anything, then why would you expect WXP?

All servers that are green will be on the same team. It’s in the patch notes.

Map Completion in WvW won’t get you many of these levels, actually.
Still hovering around the 10-12 rank mark. Unless you run with the zerg, going around the map solo doesn’t grant you much in world xp.
I made the silly assumption you actually helped take the towers/keep you needed for map competition, then it will def help get you levels. Also remember that levels 1-5 require less WXP if I recall correctly. However that being said, yes if you just wait for the tower to be taken by other people and not help at all anywhere at anytime, yes it is going to take you a longer time, as it should, since you are putting in much less effort.
EDIT: by a good chunk, about 20-30% of them levels fits my good chunk definition

It wont be anything to do with zhaitan. The living story is meant to be seperate from your personal story progress. So tequatl is stronger even if you havent beaten zhaitan on a certain character yet.
yeah that why I specifically said might be an issue in my post, but I still think the ley lines may be the explanation. they are certainly talking about them a lot now.
Obviously its something to do with the ley lines. Tequatl somehow tapped into the magic in the ley lines and got stronger. Most likely an unintentional side effect of what Scarlet is trying to do (whatever that may be).
yeah I figure with Zhiatan dead, Tequatl has access to more ‘dragon magic’ from the ley lines. just a possibility. I think us killing Zhiatan is responsible for what is going on now. Of course the writers have a hard time balancing the in game timeline as new players experience the LS but might have not killed the dragon yet.
Not saying I use one, but auto-clickers might help with this situation. Set it to 1 millisecond clicking so it might go through a stack of 250 in a matter of seconds.

im fairly certain I got a crafting booster, 1 mystery tonic and a stack of 2 mystery tonics from a recent chest I opened. This can be intended drops right? 1 booster and 3 mystery tonics? wish I grabbed a screenshot.
yeah I agree, some of the clicking is out of hand. Maybe all a consume all, but make it just consume one ever second or something. Just like others mentioned with the crafting
How does the Overflow system work exactly ?

What is a non-guest spot? There are only spots, first come first serve.

Overflow is my bane. I spent hours waiting to get into my home server where the big commanders and people were planning. And after I got in, I got dc’d for some unknown reason and had to wait again.
Please please please make home server people top priority and force guests into overflow first. I home here because i want to play here, not overflow.
That won’t help, even the lower populated servers are getting overflows and no one is guesting there. If you choose to play on one of the highest population servers, overflows are something you must accept for now. Plus if they did give home server top priority for events, more people would transfer (even black gate opens up at night sometimes) and people would further concentrate on fewer servers causing more overflow issues. In summary, not gonna happen.
I think these events work great, I have no problem with overflows and how they currently work. I love the open world feel of it. The hundreds of people I’ve been attempting them with apparently agree as I’ve see very few complaints in game. So in summary, face it devs, you’re doing great work, keep it up!
There is really little down time, marionette at the top of one hour, wurm at the top of another. So what? 40 min down time max?
If a lot of people arnt there, just focus on killing one wurm. You still get a chest and if you change it up, still fun.

I think people are missing one point here. This isn’t “the” finale. This is the first of four stories…the finale is yet to come.
I think someone is sorely lacking in reading comprehension. I never stated this release was the finale. What i said was its using dated story telling that’s so predictable that not even M. Night Shyamalan can make whatever finale they come up with not be as stale as 12 year old bread.

Honestly, if all the expansion really brings is a lot more of the same that we have had for the past year then they will not be getting my business.
hey I know you! Yeah I get what you mean about zerg fest content we’ve seen recently, however id wager that an expansion will likely have several more dungeons, events and other such features that have not been delivered as much in the LS updates. time will tell though
You know what will be great? If they released an update that had nothing to do with story whatsoever: adding guild features, fixing abysmal loot system, adding precursor hunt, fixing bugs and skills – all the features they promised in 2013.

I think the wurm is a side effect of the ‘mysterious probes’, scarlet trying to awaken a specific dragon has also riled up this new wurm.
Anet already stated they will not be releasing an Expansion for GW2
So not true, they all but said they ARE doing an expansion. They just have yet to officially announce anything.

I see no problem with the food as is now, several ways to counter (runes, food, traits). Once you break down the math of the 40% increase in condition duration in terms of actual damage ticks, it isn’t OP at all IMO.

Damage is determined per second, so the increase needs to be at least a second for anymore damage to be applied. The condition needs to ‘tick’ again. So for the people suggesting a nerf to 15 or even 20%, that means for the damage conditions, you need a base duration of 5 seconds for the food to even have an effect at all. During this time you can clear the condition as well. As previously posted, condition damage can be thought of as ‘potential damage’ over time. At least this is my current understanding, if I got this wrong please correct me.
lets not forget about the perplexity runes confusion spammers though wich can hardly be countered in classes with low condi remove thanks to how condi removal removes the one freaking skill that least harms you
and immobilize now that it stacks being immob for 20+ seconds on top of interupts knockdowns and stuns is just absurd
and you just pointed out why it is broken because the only way to counter condition duration food is with -40% condi duration food
yes the mass immob is an issue for sure
however the math behind the condition duration shows that you do NOT need the -40% to counter some of the damage, even a -20% can drop the duration so that it reduce the damage by a tick. the condition has to reach a full extra second to do the damage, no partial credit. so even less than 40% reduction can have an effect. you can obtain condition duration reduction from more than just food.
anyways, from recent dev posts, it appears conditions may actually be buffed in PvE, we will have to wait and see about WvW

I’ve gotten several keys, including one last night off a dolyak in WvW. Back in the southsun farming days, got three in a day once

Thanks! I always vowed not to straight up buy a precursor, the the forge was my best option. Seeing the hunter show up felt great!
Easily today, bought 100 g of exotic rifles to put in forge. On about the fifth try, got the hunter., immediately crafted the predator and did a dance of joy. Figured I’d toss the rest of the rifles in and boom, another the hunter. Needless to say I was very happy.

I can understand sPvP, so they can be exotic level there. However inability can’t be the reason, there were scaled to ascended for a very brief time, then brought back down. Maybe inability to scale to equipped weapon?
try guesting to servers to see which is popular during your playtimes, however TC and blackgate are pretty popular
Underwater toolbelt skills are usually overlooked. The rocket turret toolbelt skill is unuseable underwater, because it wants us to target an area instead of locking on targeted enemy. I believe Toss Elixir H still doesnt cure a condition when the cleansing formula trait is equiped, though i havent tried it for months now, so that might be fixed.
yes the rocket turret underwater skill is essentially unusable.
I believe it is time to scale kits to ascended level OR have the kits scale to the level of our equipped weapons. I would be very interested to hear why this is not the case already. I know the kits were upscaled at first launch of ascended weapons, then quickly brought down. To leave it like is now means a permanent disadvantage to kit using engies.
I am open to hearing why this might be OP or any other reason to keep our kits limited at exotic level stats so lets try to keep this discussion constructive. Hopefully with all the balance tweaks being done these days, a dev can comment on this issue.

The season has increased the fun in WvW, by a lot. More people, still no real waits, more fighting. Overall a vast improvement to WvW. Our guild has 30-40 members attend our WvW nights, so we enjoy the increased competition.
Not unless they fix them on engies that use kits, why would I make a weapon that is for skin only that I will seldom if ever see?
ANET please make legendary kits
Dear AoE(FC) Thank you for showing us the worst WvW guild I can remember in my entire history of playing this game. Sadly we had to leave the tower your zerg was trying to take to deal with an actual threat(3 man DR group) at our Hills. Please, don’t ever change.
It must be very frustrating for you to see your server drop like a rock to last place, but sarcastic posts and guild call outs on the forums still ain’t gonna help you win any matches. In fact, they just make you and your sever appear weaker.
