OK surprised the heck out of me when glint suddenly started talking to me. Been main rev for at least half of HOT and was wondering how I’d never seen that. Good to know it was a recent patch. Considering for the last week I’ve not had time to do much more than login for daily’s I’m not surprised it took a week for one of them to speak up. didn’t play much of the preview due to working last weekend.

Cool bit of flavor and I hope they add more over time.

Glint is more needed for power builds. Glint/shiro is a staple there. Malyx/Jalis is a fairly common condi build that should still be fine for renegade if you dont want to use the eliet legend for whatever reason but still want the traits.

I’ve been useing malyx/jallis for a while now and only swap to glint when I either need to supply the buffs for a group or if I’m long distance runing and dont feel like useing rapid flow trait in invocation to keep swiftness up.

I frequently use rapid flow trait on my condi rev for swiftness. I’m using 4 travler 2 trapper for runes so I get a bit of +boon duration that mostly eliminates the downtime. Mace 2 or malyx hop are my goto’s for triggering the trait. both are still likely to be viable options for the renegade.

I’ve also been known to use jallis’s hammers as the trigger as its often my secondary legend. low cost and does not leave behind anoying fields that mobs might hit but is harder to time and is more likely to be sacrificed than malax to be paired with renegade.

Guild Wars on Consoles??

I’ve personaly tried a couple times to come up with a good controler config to play GW2 with. The idea was to bounce it over to my TV via steam link to play on the couch when just being casual. However I was never able to get a layout that felt natural yet still gave me access to everything I needed. Even with as few skill slots GW2 has vs a more traditional MMO its still hard to condense all that into a controler with limited buttons along with the other required keybinds.

MMO’s just were never designed with console controlers in mind. You can try to shoehorn it in there but the tradeoffs dont seem worth it.

Found a way to do it finaly on my rev. tried condi but couldnt quite burst it down befor stacks got high due to my shadow being sword mainhand and evading too much with UA at inconvenient times. However one time I tried to run out of the room to try and reset for a new attempt and my shadow reset but not the guilt stacks/ghosts. they kept blasting me till 25.

now I was geting alacrity and my shadow was back to doing only slightly more damage than regeneration would cover. did malax/glint mace/axe with most of my time in glint for regeneration. I’d pop to malax to give him a UA and EtD and heal whenever CD’s came up and otherwise plinked him with my weapon skills on CD. Still took about 10 min or so after I reengaged on top of however long it takes to hit 25 stacks. Also ended up useing my celestial armor to give a bit more toughness and healing power

This has been mentioned off and on for the last couple months. Yes they didnt put up a big flashing alert on the launcher telling us “Were removing gifts of battle from the vendor tomorrow” but we had warning that it would be coming some point soon. I bought 6 of the things when I first heard about it, I doubt I’ll craft that many legendaries but I figured I’d have them just in case.

Honestly 500 badges was prety cheep anyway. A good zerg could get that in an evening or two or even daily’s for a couple weeks as 2 of them on average are soloable every day. Even on the reward tracks it wont be all that hard as you can get almost 1 tier of them every 15 minutes just roaming around hiting camps and sentries.

As they explained in their post, reddit’s format is better suited to Q+A sessions then a forum.

The thing I wonder is if reddit’s format is so superior(not an opinion I hold personly) why dont they adopt that format here?

Personaly I find reddit’s layout a mess to read and the comunity only a few baby steps above the “Chan’s” It may be easier to pick def responses out of the natural list the thread forms than a forum but I find navigating the site in general obnoxious when not just following a link or a google search result.

The Gem shop also gives a prety good indication of the timeing. Festival items that go away with the festival tend to be pulled off at the same time the festival content goes away. Since were expecting the patch to coincide with the festivals conclusion that should give you a prety good guess by just looking at the timer for the SAB glider and mini’s.

Personaly I’ve been teaching myself to speed run them and I’m about 2/3 of the way done with gathering the tokens for the world 1 skins. down to about 5min each as a best time in 1-1 and 1-2.

Glint: How long do facets last?

in Revenant

Posted by: Merendel.7128

Merendel.7128

Any 1 facet you can keep up indefinitely. They don’t time out on their own unless you swap stances or run out of energy.

All but the might facet can be situationaly useful to consume although only swiftness is one I’d recomend consuming any old time you want more DPS.
-Might stacks vuln on the targets but thats really easy to do with sword anyway and only slightly slower. normaly not worth puting it on CD
-swiftness has a good AOE on consume and its prety common to have a long duration swiftness boon up if you are in a group or had it up between fights.
-Consumeing the heal can be amazing if you know a big hit is comeing in. If you’ve been takeing attrition damage and are geting low feel free to consume it and take a big attack on the chin instead of dodgeing, it can heal you to full.
-Furry facet is a stunbreak when consumed so use that as needed, the blind and stealth detect are normaly not worth it.
-eliet is a prety heafty knockback but is also on a long CD. Its also so expensive to maintain that I rarely use it for its buff unless the other buffs are not needed. Most of the time I just use it as an interupt.

I normaly wouldnt consume F2 unless you really need to turn it off right away and dont have time to let energy drain shut it off for you. A good example would be if you need to use assasin stances quickness buff as you cant turn it on with F2 active. If you really need a few seconds of every buff and cant/wont swap to dragon to get them that way then go ahead and consume.

Personally I’ve been loving my Rev. Then agian I used to play a war as a main since launch so I’m kinda used to my best stuff geting nerfed or broken all the time. Like lonewolf I swap my legends around all the time. Dragon tends to always be on my bar but Shiro, Jalis and Mallax all get cycled through the other slot depending on the situation. Ventari rarely gets love unless I need to make use of the projectile destruction beyond what hammer has.

My bigest gripes are that they still haven’t gotten more than 2 of our legends working underwater and quite a few skills tend to glitch out on terrain. Jallis’s hammers give a surprising amount of healing when your sweaping them through a pack when traited in devastation. Unfortunately they will sometimes die on flat terain for no reason and hills are dangerous haveing your constant stream of healing sudenly shutoff without warning. Also it goes without saying every body thats played a Rev for long has experienced UA freaking out and doing nothing useful.

I’d be pretty happy if they at least fixed dragon stance underwater and made our skills a bit less sensitive to terrain. A second ranged option wouldn’t go amiss but I can cope with hammer as is.

The Unlimited Gathering Tools is tedious!

I’ve never bought gathering tools for this reason.

It’s supposed to be convenient, and actually it’s not . Except if you play on only one character or you want to spend hundred of euros only to get gathering tools on all of your characters of course.

Yea, I never could understand it either. I would think if ppl had the patience to gather at all in the first place, they wouldn’t mind occasionally breaking a tool or having to mail a tool between toons. If that’s annoying, might as well forget the unlimited tools and just convert your gems to gold and buy your mats off the TP. Skip the middleman.

Meh if new tools auto equiped when the old one broke I’d probably not have bothered either. Its nice not haveing to worry about the tools. I know it will never “Pay” for itself, not without a couple decades of normal gathering and replaced tool costs but its a minor convenience.

Personaly I got 2 sets although that was before they became account bound. 1 sits on my main and the second gets shared around on whatever alt I’m useing. The alt scicle spends most of its time in a shared slot as I have 8 characters I rarely play siting on the flax farm for daily gathering. Its nice to not have to stock extra tools on them as some dont leave that spot unless I need to retrieve something being stored on them.

Vee Wee is our resident Engineer mascot.
Generally, the people who dislike her, wish they had the personality to get their opinions considered as easily as she does.

Is she the best? I doubt it. Is she the most interesting read? Absolutely!
Definitely no stick up the posterior.

Personaly I think we need a new mascot. While I frequently agree with many of the points she makes when I manage to fully read through one of her posts and filter out the inane prattle, acomplishing said feat is another mater. I find the “Personality” she injects into every post painful enough that I can not have sharp objects near my computer out of fear I may gouge out my eyes to escape it. The intro is at best self centered and the “Accent” is obnoxious. It was cute the first time but at this point I kinda wish there was a way add to a forum ignore list.

So while you may think she’s the most intresting read on the forums I think she’s the most painful read on the forums.

Not sure if it goes the ToS, but this can be achieved with 3rd party peripheral software, such as the key-binding software that comes with gaming mice.

Anyone know the specifics if it would violate it or not?

As a general rule of thumb, any time you start out with “not sure if this violates the ToS”, it probably does.

Every time this has come up the responce has been along the lines of they dont have the resorces to vet any third party programs and they cant endorse/condone the use of any 3rd party programs without veting them so use them at your own risk as they are a technical violation of the TOS that could be enforced if your caught. On the other hand the unspoken implication has also been that as long as its not being brought to their attention, typicly because its giveing an advantage to the player that gets reported, chances of any action being taken are low. The only way to detect the use of a mouse macro that hits 1 every .5 seconds would be to time the input signals and notice the metronome precision that a human couldn’t reasonably maintain. Unless your doing something else to get their attention for that level of detailed investigation your probably not going to get banned for it.

I wouldnt be surprised either if a significant percentage of grenade engineers used a repeating keypress as an auto attack substatute. Most wouldnt admit it in game or here as that could be construded as bringing it to Anet’s attention but it happens non the less and I’ve not heard of anybody banned for it.

Boom-Boom Baines, poor design?

If you are the “chosen one”, do not melee her because you won’t have enough time to react to the grenade barrage anymore.

If you notice her focusing you, this can be used it to your advantage by luring her over to where-ever the turret spawns. Do this by breaking line-of-sight of Boom-Boom Baines using a nearby tree in the area or the ramp. This helps less aware players switch to the turret.

I’ve had this happen to me before and I’ve taken advantage of it. I had 2 goals in mind, first I do my best to move her over to the turret so cleave damage from the players doing it right would hurt her but also cleave damage from the mindless hurt the turret. The second and far more entertaining was because we had a couple trolls that showed up and AFK’d right in the middle of the arena. I would hover around them and get them cought in grenade and bomb spam and kill them. bit of a two edged sword unfortunatly as no mater how much you tell people to not revive the full dead theres always those few that do it anyway. On the bright side the AFK’ers were quite nude by the end of the fight.

Feedback/Questions: The Megaserver System: World Bosses and Events

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Merendel.7128

Merendel.7128

My view on the schedule is generaly positive with only one significant issue. A set schedule like this limits what someone on a fixed schedule can see rather severely. If someone can only play the same 2 hour block a day they will never see quite a few events because there’s no chance for them to rotate into their available time block. At least with the old system luck of the draw might help them some days.

While theres no perfect solution to this there are 2 partial fix options I can think of off the top of my head.

First option would be invert the order of the mid tier events on alternating days. This shouldnt be too obnoxious from a scheduleing standpoint. It could even be tied to odd/even days of the month so people could still look at a schedule on the wiki or something. You’ll probably have the same events occuring close togeather at the change over unfortunatly in this case but no way around that. On the upside people that only can play during specific time blocks would see more of the events day to day.

The second option is to run the orange tier in pairs. I count 11 timeblocks with the TBD in there. If that is either droped or a second is added runing the events in pairs results in a 2.5 to 3 hour cycle asumeing you are not runing into the big 3 blocking timeslots on the hour. For a player with more time its no different than your current propsed system. They will manage to hit all of them in 5-6 hours doing one now and the other on the second cycle. For a player with limited time they can choose wich of the two to do today and possibly do the other in the same timeblock the next day alowing access to more content.

Heh I’ve done this to harass the enemy at the gates before. There is a pratical limit to this tactic however. If there is 30+ outside they can do alot of damage to you just by spaming AOE at your landing zone potentially downing you before you can get back inside if you don’t use immunities for survival. SPaming CC at a warrior doing this also tends to result in a fatality

Good fun all around but you were lucky none of those guys was smart enough to start throwing any CC your way after the first couple times you did that considering I didnt see any CC breakers on your bar.

Why should you hit 3 of 4 people?, you cant see any of them.
CC’s are fine, Blinds are fine.

If I spin around flailing a 5 foot long sledge hammer and your standing within arms reach it does not mater how blind I am, if you dont dodge or stop the swing there’s a pretty good chance my hammer is going to try and occupy the same space you are.

I actualy think blind should be reworked to make a bit more sense when applied to players. Have blind drop a players target, disalow manual/auto targeting for the duration, and turn their screen black for a few seconds (think a flash bang in a FPS but black instead of white) The player can still flail around and if you happen to still be standing where they can hit you you deserve to be hit just like a thief that stealths and gets meleed down anyway because they didnt move.

Need WvW Body Block?

in WvW

Posted by: Merendel.7128

Merendel.7128

Would have expected bodyblocking in guildwars2 since it was a good feature in Guildwars.

Also with the so called terrain focused combat (promoted in the early video’s) was interpereted by players as bodyblocking/dropoff etc..too bad it never came to that.
Bodyblocking in WvW would definately be something worth looking into.

Ya it was a feature of GW1. Does anybody else remember how bad the ruberbanding got when lag started to pick up? You see an enemy in one spot, you move to run around them. 2 seconds later the server catches up and realizes the enemy was actualy standing 3 feet to the left, the spot you ran through and you warp back to right infront of the foe you just ran around.

Ya body blocking would be a nice tactical tool to have but there are just too many issues with it for it to be viable and still have large battles. It would probably work better to add in more line of warding type effects if they wanted players to be able to bodyblock locations as a regular tactic, although they’d either have to prevent stability from overriding it or make it harder for zergballs to maintain long stretches of stability.

As an idea about how to go about this hows this for an idea.
New ability: Hunker
Cost: 50% endurance (1 dodge)
Effects: Creates a 70 radius zone centered on the caster. While the caster remains in this zone enemies can not pass through the zone. Duration 5 seconds or untill caster leaves the area. Does not block projectiles. Can not be bypassed with stability.

This would alow a player to approach to half of standard melee range so even melee could still attack a player useing hunker. It also forces the player to make a choice on if body blocking the enemy is worth standing there and takeing it as you are not only stationary but you also sacrificed a dodge to activate it. They would also probably want to have stability up when doing this as if they get knocked back out of the field the field drops. Give it to all classes activated via hotkey much like dodge is. Due to endurance regen a single player can not maintain a hunker indefinitely.

Though there are other low-level areas, there are not that many that are level 15-25. It is why that tier of crafting material is annoying to get. Because not many people go into those areas. Plus, keep in mind that new players and characters do not have full maps.

Theres still 3 other zones in that level range. There’s only 1 fewer of that bracket than the newbie zones. and I’d wager the reason that bracket gets mostly skiped is because if you completely map your starter zone and do your personal story up to date you’ve got a good chance of being 25 by the time your done with that and able to just skip the 15-25 bracket. Even lacking full maps is not really an excuse as one of the other 15-25 zones is right out the north gate of black citadel and someone is likely to point that out if someone asked in map chat for a different zone to level in.

I dont really see this as an issue. Most of the stompable toxic aliance members are exceptionaly squishy before you put them into the downed state. I suspect they already have less HP than most other mobs around them if you discout downed state and not much more if you just burst through the downed state. I think the ettin halucinations end up takeing me longer to kill than just downing one of the sylvari and proceeding to just burn off the remaining hp and they are alot less threatening once downed as well.

Seriously? Most hearts already have a kill mobs in the area componant otherwise they wouldnt be advanceing. The fact that your killing krate instead of bandits does not really make all that much difference in my book. There are very few hearts where an activity is compleatly removed as an option. Heck even your RP example of freeing prisoners is still an option on most of the free prisoner ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Now on the other hand the scarlet mobs were a PITA considering any other mob could instant rez another mob off the corpses if they reached it before the animation finished. Even haveing to stomp those things wouldnt have been bad if the mobs had to finish a cast time of similar length before your stop to succeed.

3-hour matches

Merendel.7128

I’m a bit confused by your logic. How exactly would 3 hour matches do anything to combat coverage discrepancies? In a hypothetical match between SoS Maguma and any other non T1-2 server what exactly would happen? A match occuring during NA primetime maguma would probably win as SOS is comparitively understaffed in that time block. Conversely SOS would absolutly crush maguma during the oceanic primetime. Puting the matches on a 3 hour cycle wont do a thing to combat population imbalances. The only possible way I could see it making any impact at all is if each server had a seperate ranking for each time block for matchmakeing otherwise you’d still end up with lopsided victories. Even with that I dont see the benifits outwaying the anoyances of the constant rematching.

Functioning 2v1 would solve balance

in WvW

Posted by: Merendel.7128

Merendel.7128

Another part of the problem is there needing to be a reason to even strive for a first place win. Right now we get what for wining? Bragging rights. While its true that a server racking up a serious win will have higher global point bonuses they are not particularly noteworthy over what the loosing teams will have by the end of the match anyway and they dont carry over to the next week so what are you really gaining? Adding a reward such as a mini unmaned buff (+xp+MF+karma not the no death penalty) as a reward for the week following a first place finish would give some incentive to trying for first place. Alternatively some of the bonus you get from the score could persist through the next week if you finish first.

Now on to the issue of makeing it more favorable to attack the first place server instead of ganging up on the other weak server. While the idea of rewards based off how long an objective has been held is a good start I also think a multiplyer based off relitive score would not be amiss. If any objective you take thats held by the first place team awards several times more of its base reward than targeting the last place team its more favorable to target the top dog. Higher risk but much higher reward than going after the low hanging fruit.

I dont like the idea of totaly moveing the warscore over to awards for takeing an objective based on the time its held over PPT. That could result in some very counter intuitive and unfun stratagies to win the game. What would happen if each objective was worth x point sfor every hour it had been held and takeing them was the primary means of gaining warscore? While you could win by just dukeing it out an alternitive stratagy would be let the top server hold all the map for the first 5-6 days, acumulating no points asside from that initial capture session, and then blitz the maps gaining thousands of points per objective and catapulting into first place with no chance for recovery and no real way to stop it as the blitz could come at any time and you cant keep defenders everywhere all the time) Not playing all week then doing a mad dash for first at the end would not be a fun gameplay mechanic IMO.

PPT is still needed because takeing and holding significant amounts of teritory should still be a key victory condition. However we also need incentive to go after the hard targets from a score standpoint as well as the rewards the karma train was after. I would propose something of a fusion of the ideas. Leave PPT as it is, it mostly works for a reward for holding territory. On top of that add an additional warscore boost to capturing an objective. For example, when you flip a camp your team gets 1 warscore for every hour it was held(caped at 12 hours) times the number of upgrades. If you flip a camp that is fully upgraded and has been held for 10 hours you get 40 points. Towers and keeps not only have more potential upgrades for a larger multiplyer but also would have a larger base per hour amount. The final numbers should be balanced so that the max capture bonus does not eclipse the PPT of holding the objective for the same amount of time otherwise you still get a situation where the wining stratagy is to wait till maximum bonus and then flip objectives. However the additional acumulating points makes it more benificial to target the hardened targets vs just refliping everything in a circle with enemy zergs chaseing eachothers tails.

While this is not perfect, a stronger team could for example not upgrade to try and deny points to the other team this is also somewhat offset by an upgraded target being much easier to breach. On the other hand you could also tie the PPT into the upgrade status of the objectives to encourage not only upgrading a location but holding it.

If you keep an eye on GW2 stuff you can eventualy learn how to gauge the progress of any of the active world boss events. I can frequently guestimate when an event will finish in 5-10 minutes and pop over to get the daily chest. Considering the anouncement that went out a couple hours ago it might be intentional. Droping out of the gold league would be so easy for them with this current matchup. Throw the match badly and drop 2 ranks easy then just hold steady and win the silver league.

Well unfortunatly 1-5 kinda needed to be in their own tier with 1 poor server geting saddled with dead last in that league because none of the other servers can even come close to the top 5’s coverage. as for the oddly shaped lower 2 brackets well I guess the therory is a mix of 9 servers is more intresting than 3 groups of 6. Unfortunately we dont have enough servers in NA to make 3 groups of 9 like the EU has.

Well I’ll be happy about this if dragonbrand does not sandbag the next few matches and toss SOS up into the gold league. our (sos) coverage isnt nearly up to par to put up a decent showing vs any of the top 5 in any timeblock outside our oceanic’s primetime.

Not looking too good on that front however. DB shouldnt be doing that poorly vs Mag and EB on reset night.

IT’S NOT VERATA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KILLED HIM 250 YEARS AGO!!!!!! QUIT TRYING TO MAKE ARENANET BRING HIM BACK!!!!!!

Considering verata was a necromancer him returning in some undead form would not be all that surpriseing.

Sigh, when I read the title I thought maybe this was some suggestion to make forts/towers worth more PTT if they were upgraded. That would add a bit more incentive to maintaining supply lines and defending what you hold. Instead I find a rehashed coverage wars complaint. Not any surprise its from a maguma right after they get matched with SOS agian.

Gandara solution to melee trains

I kinda agree with renmei. While scattering will let you pick off the straglers they are probably just pugs following the orgionized group that are not even on voice coms with the leader. The pain train will still crush whatever clump they target, the spreading out will just slow things down from 1 desicive blow to several slashes that pick off any gorups of players that clump up. I think the bigest impact scattering like that would have is that the pain train due to haveing a lower number of targets geting pounded on will have fewer rally opertunitys. One strength of the melee blob is anybody that goes down will probably rally almost instantly as someone gets killed every couple of seconds.

Stealth abilities pros&cons in WvW

everything else have something that can counterbalance.

Oh well, tell me what can counterbalance Invulnerability?
Tell me what can counterbalance Death Shroud?
Tell me what can counterbalance Myst Form?

You want to counter stealth? Use your brain, interrupt, control, hit in the air, don’t stay immobile.

The difference between stealth and those 3 abilities is they can not be maintained for more than a few seconds and you can track the target till they expire (or in DS case just burst through it). Unless they are very close to a safe spot they can duck into those abilitys at most delay the inevitable if they are outmatched

thief stealth on the other hand has none of those drawbacks as a thief has several potential sources that can be chained long enough to escape or reset the fight. A good thief will take at most a hit or two from random air flailing before they get out of reach. For every second they are stealthed the potential area they could be in increases exponentially and hitting them after the first second is more luck than skill. If a thief wants to disengage from a fight all they have to do is stealth, purge CC if needed, dodge out of reach of any blind fired CC and run for it and there is nothing their foes can do to stop them. Short of blind luck runing in the same direction as the thief by the time he’s visable agian they will never be able to catch up before he either stealths agian or just gets out of visual range. Thats what really anoy’s people about stealth.

Are there more than 750 baubles in any 1 zone? If not, cant you just count how many you pick up? If there are more, you could delete a stack of 250. If you picked some up from enemies, you could split the stack and delete what you picked up.

Some/most of the baubles require you to use you’re baubles to get them (bombs). So you can’t just rely on the count. Also, like the case of World 2 Zone 2, you need to spend baubles to get the keys (unless you kill everything, but even then when I did it and killed the assassins (might as well do that achieve at the same time), I didn’t get any keys to drop, had to buy them).

It’s tedious, but you can bring a friend to open things with bombs and buy keys. Pretty sure the key buyer can just drop it for others to pick up.

You’d also have to avoid picking up any of the baubles enemies drop as those dont count to the achievement. Honestly I think it would have been better if they’d used the event system for tracking this achievement. set up a zone wide achievement with a progress bar or a counter that increments when someone collects a bauble thats part of the achievement. once you’ve got them all the event completes and you’ve got your achivement.

Dodge Jumping

@ luthan Considering dodge jump by its nature removes your ability to stear for the duration you dont nessicaraly need your mouse hand on the mouse while executing a dodge jump as long as there is no time pressure. if W+V+Space is too hard to do one handed add a second key for your other hand to use for dodge. I’d recommend something over on the num pad just for ease of access.

I dont think I could pull a dodge jump off with doubletap however. I have about a 70% sucess rate but I’ve had dodge on my mouse back button for ages.

Lol you know my first thought when I saw that pic was “This is what you get when you cross Star wars with MLP and then stuff the result into GW2” good shop although I doubt they’d make it look like something out of an icecream truck. I’d expect it to just cycle through the colors instead.

Claiming Towers to avoid buffs - griefing?

in WvW

Posted by: Merendel.7128

Merendel.7128

Why can you claim towers without active buffs anyway?
And why does a claim remain after buffs drops?

Seems like a simple design fix.

People would just use the exp buff then if you had to activate a buff to claim.

If it was just a requirement of any single buff sure, although it might be easier to prove intentional sabotage if they only activate 1 useless buff to end run the restriction. But what if the limits were a bit higher than that? There are 10 buffs total as I recall what if the requirements were something like this for claiming

Camps: +5 supply must be active (no other requirement)
Towers: 3 buffs active.
Keeps: 5 buffs active
Stonemist: 7 buffs active.

Yes the towers may still get claimed with simi useless buffs for defense. Someone trying to block better buffs may only do XP/karma and supply but then again towers can fall quite quickly regardless of buffs up. Camps pretty much the only critical buff is the supply one. Any others are gravey but are unlikely to let you hold the camp longer agianst a serious push to take it by the enemy zerg. Once you get to the keeps you prety much have to have a couple usefull buffs up and your starting to see a larger influence cost to deter casual trolling.

Dodge-Jumping Box

Theres only 2 places in SAB trib that I’ve felt a need to dodge jump. one is the fakeout rock in w1z2 over the lava. I’ve done it legit without a dodge roll but if I’m geting any latency at all the fakeout will fail for one reason or another and its easier to just dodge jump to avoid the stomp.

Second was right at the begining of w2z3 that jump from the tree to the ledge just before the first cloud checkpoint. I’m prety sure the jump is possible without if I could just find the right spot and timeing but agian its easier to just dodge jump it.

Shrug I’v got 5 different skins so far over the last week and my wallet has stayed at a mostly constant level and thats with spending more time in the SAB than in the open world. one scarlet event where I joined the aetherblade farm and doing some world bosses while geting the daily done has been most of the income during that time. Gold is really not that hard to make even if your not playing the TP flip game. 28g in a week would take a bit of effort on my part but over 2 weeks wouldnt be that bad.

hmm oops I just sliced off my server from the URL and didnt check to see if that would work. http://jasper.gw2stuff.com/ does work however, just need to select your server from the top menu bar.
As to luck you dont need to hit all of them. Almost any time I look at least 1 is up and normaly another will pop withen a few minutes of the first one ending. If you farm the world bosses a bit you get a prety good feel of which ones to hit first if more than one is available. There are also a few you can push into starting with only doing a couple events in the zone most of the time.

Tribulation Flawless World 1 Runs

Not sure if this is possible in w2 without a massive amount of luck and patience. I’ve done runs with very few deaths in w2, but I found that getting past tribulation clouds without dieing is very hard, random and annoying.

I agree the trib cloud on W2z2 with the dart puzzle always kills me at least once if not by knocking me into darts then by attrition as it hits me enough times to die. the 2 in z3 also have a 5050 chance of killing me while I try to get past em. Dodgeing those buggers while trying to acomplish a puzzle step while skiding around like a drunken penguin on ice skates is intresting.

These designs cost an additional 2 gold per design to make. A lot of players can’t afford something like that in such a short time span :/

While I agree that the designs should end up on a legicy vendor like other event items I dont see 2 gold as much of a hardship. Anybody with a level 80 toon should be able to make 2g or so in an hour or less. Either join the frostgorge champ zerg or spend an hour chaseing world bosses. You can easily get 25s+ for any 80 rare off the TP and the bonus chest is a garenteed to give you one and its not uncomon to get an extra from the main chest. http://jasper.gw2stuff.com/ makes it realy easy to hit several one after another.
