They probably come up with the time traveling villain behind the Mortal threats before Guild Wars 2 was released and only developed her/him into Scarlet(we really should have ignored Mister _Zinn_competent’s gender pronouns) near the creation of the Living World.
Personally I would like to see Arenanet Steam Gate us to the past around the time of Zinn to fight whoever gave him corrupt Golems programmed to attack Tyria’s leaders(I’m assuming Scarlet since she’s the one with the most likely personality to even try such a thing).
It would be the perfect oppertunity for us to finally defeat Scarlet Briar once and for all!
If I’m correct Arenanet can do whatever they want with the story:
They could even pull an alternate Abbadon out of a Fractal containing his prison(since they won’t have us visit Abbadon’s defeat at the hands of the 5 Gods) and having him turn the Shiverpeaks to Bloodpeaks(like the Depths of Madness), turn the Kryta into a fleshy kingdom(like the Domain of Pain), fill Maguuma Jungle with Centipede bridges and headless Caterpillars(like the Domain of Fear) and fill Ascalon with Plinths straight from the Domain of Secrets.
I especially like the turn Shiverpeaks into Bloodpeaks idea myself…..
Personally I hope either Evon or Mad King Thorn busts into a Fractal containing Abaddon’s prison and freeing him and bringing him to present Tyria(out of religious reasons if Evon or out of Insanity reasons if Mad King Thorn).
Abbadon’s defeat at the hands of the Gods will never be shown yet they never mentioned other events in Abaddon’s history.
No defeat of Abbadon at the Old Gods ever you mean…..
There’s no presedence for someone not opening a Realm of Torment Fractal where the villain rescues an alternate Abbadon……
Better yet have alternate Abbadon escape into Tyria and have the world Descend into Madness……
Blood stained Kryta(similar to the Depths of Madness), Ascalon with fleshy ruptures in the ground replacing the canyons, Maguuma Jungle becoming like the Domain of Fear. Abbadon’s Hair sprouting everywhere else and the sun turning as black as it was in the Nightfallen Jahai….
Of course the “rightful king of Ascalon” might turn out to be Mad King Thorn obtaining Magdaer for himself and taking over Ascalon as a villain.
But Mad King Thorn would never put the ghosts to rest. He’d just make them wear bedsheets.
Technically it says they’ll first abandon Ascalon City first so the exact reason they’ll be put to rest is unknown….
Hopefully not by Halloween ending……
The only ones in the Molten Alliance to hate said Alliance are the Dredge. As far as I have read the Flame Legion have no objections aside from taking advantage of the matter(and stealing from the Dredge once they’re dead).
The Molten Alliance is kept whole due to the Moletariate’s greed which the commoner Dredge are displeased with.
Basically the only danger to the Molten Alliance is a Dredge civil war to get rid of the Moletariate which is ironically already happening due to the Moletariate’s other alliance which is with the Inquest(though obviously not fast enough since the Inquest’s ally Scarlet brought the Flame Legion into the picture)….
For instance I would especially like to see a zone as bloodstained as the Depths of Madness…..
I’d also like a fleshy zone like the Domain of Pain.
Of course the Realm of Torment itself no longer exists in the Mists yet there should be similar zones somewhere…..
Why depending on the how violent some places are there may be mountains as bloodcovered as the Depths of Madness on Tyria itself!
What we need is a zone based on the Gate of Fear(a jungle filled with Spiderwebs and decapitated grey Caterpillars in a greenish lighting) preferably in Magus Falls, a zone based of the Domain of Fear(filled with half burrowed grey Caterpillars climbing mountains, a Giant Spider corpse as a plataeu and a Centipede bridge)preferably in Maguuma Wastes and a zone based off of the Depths of Madness(in other words a mountainous zone covered in Blood) either in the Mists or on Tyria.
The only thing that needs to come from the Realm of Torment are the Spine filled web covered jungles of the Domain of Fear and the Blood stained mountains of the Depths of Madness….
I like the idea of a Blood Stained Guild Wars 2 mountain zone similar to the Depths of Madness….

The only deaths we’ve have confirmation of being permanent are those in _Grenth_’s realm as a result of Dhuum absorbing their souls…..
Do we have confirmation on anything much less Dhuum having eating Shiro and the Lich’s souls?
The eating of souls by Dhuum and Demons does explain why the Mists doesn’t have an infinite number of souls though…..
Abbadon’s actions are tied to the Flameseeker Prophecies Glint forsaw….
What are the chances that the Titans would exploit Glint’s or rather her former master Kralkatorrik’s magic after such a prophecy was made?
During the questline where you learn that the Fortune Teller is a Demonic servant of Abbadon the quest giver mentions:“Now, we must return Shiro’s spirit to the Mists, where he can pay for his deeds in the proper manner.”
This quest is in the Realm of Torment….
Are all Worlds in the Mists? That may explain things….
Would Canthan Undead, Zhaitan’s Risen, Am Fah, Margonites, Shiroken, Afflicted and Torment Creatures all allied togather be an interesting Alliance in Cantha?
Remember that the centaurs have been bought out by Minister Caudecus (human personal story)
In other words Centaurs already are allied with the bandits….
Speaking of Cantha: Emperor Angsiyan in the cinematic where Shiro killed him looked different from his appearance in the other cinematics….
Namely he looked alot like Vizier Khilbron……
Considering the emperor’s suspicious actions that day and the fact that the fortune teller that got Shiro to kill the Emperor was an agent of Abbadon what are the chances that it was Khilbron?
Also considering that Mad King Thorn’s war with Palawa Joko is causing Grenth alot of paper work what are the chances of Khilbron busting out of the Underworld unnoticed and later invading Cantha and crowning himself Emperor Usoku Khilbron.

You forget that a certain Quaggan claims that the Krait enslaved the Nightmare Court.
All this implies that the Krait see Scarlet as servant getting them Obelisk shards while the Nightmare Court are seen as enslaved(whether they actually are or not is irrelevant) constructors and armies.
Oratuss most likely see all Krait as expendable

They sacrifice their slaves for one purpose:
To increase their Prophets’ armies!
By giving them the means to bring the Prophets back Scarlet has proven her race as worthy of being the the ones helping the Oratuss and Krait summon the Prophets and be among the first wave of the Prophets’ great army.
The Krait dosen’t see other races as something to wipe out they see them as potential slaves who will eventually be converted into members of the Prophets’ armies in other words Scarlet’s race proved themselves worthy of constructing the means for the Prophets’ return and will be among the first of the Prophets’ armies to spill over Tyria.
The Quaggan that claims the Nightmare Court is enslaved may be a major clue to the true nature of the Nightmare Court…
Namely that the Krait Prophets are the Nightmare and have shown the Nightmare Court and/or Scarlet where the Krait Obelisk fragments are in order to prove to the Krait priests that they are members of the Prophets’ armies(remember the Krait sacrifice slaves to fuel the Prophet’s armies so them having an advance force to prepare the way for the Prophets’ return is quite natural)
Krait Prophets are said to have ascended to higher plane of existance.
Krait are situated around the Sea of Sorrows which both Orr and Caledon Forest borders.
Caledon Forest is the location of the Nightmare Court.
Orr is where Faolain was corrupted by the Nightmare.
I believe The Nightmare is the Krait Prophets themselves.
Krait are in my mind planning the conquering of Tyria through corruption of the Sylvari and the enslavement of the spawn of the Nightmare Vines/Jungle Wurms(Nightmare Hounds and Summoned Husks).
Unless the Krait Prophets hijack the Nightmare Court storyline and turn out to be the ones behind said Nightmare Court i the first place!
On the idea that the Nightmare Court are antagonistic to Soundless: Nowhere have I’ve seen the Nightmare Court killing Soundless. All I see the Nightmare Court sending slavers to enslave them.
I don’t see any evidence that the Nightmare Court would be antagonistic to Scarlet just for being Soundless. Especially considering there isn’t hard evidence for them killing Soundless in the first place.
I say the ascended Krait Prophets are the true leaders of the Nightmare Court!
The Krait are mostly seen in the Sea of Sorrows the beaches of which border the same areas the Nightmare Court frequent.
Their Prophets ascend to higher planes of existence.
Orr is the of the places that border the Sea of Sorrows and it was near or in Orr that Faolain was corrupted by the Nightmare….

Krait have been seen all over the Sea of Sorrows and claim their Prophets have ascended to a higher plan…
Certain Karka and other wildlife of Southsun Cove have a similar energy around them as the Nightmare Court and these Nightmare Krait do…

You guys are forgetting that the Mad King is not evil, he just likes to have fun. Remember that he helped us stop Dhuum and Joko at one point.
Have you read his history? He’s not a good guy. The main reason why he ‘helped’ stop Joko was because he disliked him more than Joko disliked Turai.
Dare I mention that he didn’t stop Joko but instead aggravated him.
There’s a reason the Guild Wars interviews(nemely http://massively.joystiq.com/2010/11/11/costume-design-and-hints-of-whats-to-come-massivelys-intervie/) say that the Lunatic Court’s attempts to bring Mad King Thorn back to Tyria “may be attracting the attention of someone else who would like to return to Tyria”.

Just as the Nightmare Court represents the evil in Nature, Scarlet represents the evil in Technology.

Human nature wants to see tragedy happening. Many of us want to see it but hope the same tragedy will not befall ourselves. Don’t take my word for it, look at movies, drama series, novels and many other stories. Almost all of them have one too many tragedy before the “Happily ever after…” some even don’t have “Happily ever after…”.
Now, don’t come and say that is all fiction….. true, it is fiction, but where did all the idea came from? The writers don’t just “conjure” up some tragedy without seeing or experiencing one themselves. Isn’t it?
You can say that even the newspaper/news sells when there is a tragedy. When there is a good thing? You can’t sell kittens even if you wanted too.
So, GW2 is a business. Don’t say it is otherwise, because Arenanet is not making this game based on “Charity”. If it is a “charity”, they would have make a simpler game and gave everyone Legendary(s).
So, back to the Queen Speech. Killing the Queen will make more players want to stay on to GW2, because they want to see Logan’s devastating reaction to it and also the aftermath of the Queen’s death.

Thats all true but not really what i meant, what i meant is. in the human personal storyline u interact and even in one mission defend queen Jennah, therefore she will not die. therefore they would have to remake all the missions that mention/surround her being alive.
Zaitan is dead according to Southsun but they didn’t change the Personal Story for that.

What if "The rightful King of Ascalon” is a ghost of the first King of Ascalon and not only that but also a Mad King similar to Mad King Thorn (hopefully not named after Daniel Frozenwind’s Mad King Jack Frost character who Daniel Frozenwind calls his player character’s father) then and that by legion the legend infact refered to either the Flame Legion or the Iron Legion?
