Jormag likes living minions(the Claw of Jormag is clearly bone and ice), Kralkatorrik’s reasons for killing Sylvari is unknown(both it and Primordus’s minions hold the least sentience of Elder Dragon Minions so anything connected to the dream it most likely kills) and Zhaitan just has Risen Grubs climb out of them as the Sylvari dies(for all we know that may be his version of Sylvari corruption).

Mordemoth and Primordus are the only Elder Dragons still on Tyria’s map that are threat(Kralkatorrik is wounded).

Jormag and the Deep Sea Dragon aren’t on the map unlike Kralkatorrik(too wounded to be a threat), Modremoth(Scarlet’s boss) and Primordus(who for all we know could be under Lion’s Arch and walking into the drill and getting enraged enough to invade Lion’s Arch this instant!).

Modremoth is the sleeping Elder Dragon that Scarlet awoke.

Kralkatorrik iappeared in Guild Wars as a Elder Dragon seen in the Charr Homelands. He is currently wounded and not likely to be facing the players any time soon…

Primordus was seen at the end of Guild Wars: Eye of the North. He’s underground and is moving all over the Depths of Tyria(wouldn’t it be hilarious if Scarlet’s drilling of the Ley Lines to wake up her master Modremoth interupted Primordus’s wanderings and enraged him enough to break out of Depths of Tyria into Lion’s Arch then and there?)

Zhaitan’s awakening was shown in the trailor cinematic and had it’s minions in your face through out the Personal Story. He’s dead

Jormag never showed his face even once except as a silhouette in the Norn intro cinematic. His appearance alongside the Deep Sea Dragon’s appearance are unknown.

What’s more Jormag isn’t even on Tyria’s map(he’s north of it) unlike the other 5 Elder Dragons so obviously he’s not the next Elder Dragon we’re facing!

The most likely Elder Dragons we’ll be facing next are Modremoth(because he has the Aetherblades, Molten Alliance and Toxic Alliance) or Primordus(due to wandering right into Scarlet’s drill).

Mai Trin is most likely standing by with the Aetherblades and Molten Alliance for orders from Modremoth and possibly Faolain(if the Nightmare Court does serve Modremoth) not to mention gathering Obelisk Shards as rewards for the Krait who need them to have direct access to their Prophets.

Modremoth has the biggest army of any Elder Dragon upon awakening(Jormag had only minions in the Shiverpeaks, Zhaitan had only the Dead of Orr, Kralkatorrik had no army and Primordus had the Destroyers) which says something on how big a threat he is.

She clearly wants her wakening of her master to be her stamp on the world.

She clearly showed displeasure over Modremoth’s taking credit for her ideas. A testament to her Pride and Arrogance if there ever was one.

The Flame Legion still want gear from the Dredge and the Dredge still want Fire Magic so they will serve Modremoth as Scarlet’s benefactor.

The Krait want Obelisk Shards to meet their Prophets and so will side with Modremoth since it has obviously told Scarlet where the Obelisk Shards are(Scarlet of course would debate this due to her immense pride despite being Modremoth’s lieutenant and head Dragon Champion)

He can even use Twisted Watchworks as further minions bringing his armies to:

2:Nightmare Court
3:Molten Alliance

The villain of the Blood Legion Homeland is likely to be the Blood Legion themselves and since ArenaNet likes villain alliances the Blood Legion will join the Sons of Svanir obviously.

The armies of Kralkatorrik will most likely have not just the Branded humans and Charr but also Branded Forgotten and Branded Awakened that formerly served Palawa Joke before corruption….

When we fight Modremoth we’ll be fighting both the Nightmare Court, the Toxic Alliance and the Aetherblades at once!

Faolain will be taking Scarlet’s place as Modremoth’s new head Champion.

The reason Arenanet created Scarlet instead of having Faolain be the villain is clearly because they want her to be fought alongside Modremoth.

We also see that Modremoth’s influence extends to Bloodtide Coast with it’s Jungle Wurm as one(Scarlet is the other higher ranking one) of the Champions inside Kryta(the two Champions of Maguuma Jungle are Faolain and yet another Jungle Wurm).

The only value in the Master of Whispers to me would be his mysteriousness and being the Big Good. What’s more I would give my Master of Whispers an expanded superior role where he would be the main character(having the main character be a mysterious old man who’s name is unknown would be more epic than the teen hero stories).

I would like to have my Jade Sea and the area surrounding it be inspired by both GW’s Jade Sea(I would also have it’s petrified status be the result of anthomorphic alien tigers dumping powdered Jadite into said sea than stir and evaporate the sea’s water in such a way that the jade remains in the shape of waves with a maelstrom in the middle)due to wanting it to be actual Jade and WoW’s Jade Forest(specifically the bamboo trees and jade building style which are quite inspiring) and I might call the sea the Ethiopian Jade Sea(the asian style jade buildings would be the result of the aforementioned alien tigers decorating the country while sharing it with the Ethiopians).

I also would want an area inspired by the Depths of Madness(specifically the blood stained mountains and blood soaked trees).

Fleshy areas are everywhere in video games yet alas we don’t see such magnificance in childrens’ cartoons(nor do we see actual petrified seas which indicates that ArenaNet has more creativity than cartoon and anime writers)….

That’s not so much how copyright works.
If you were to reproduce the characters or lore of GW1 in a substantial form with the intention of profiting from it then you would be looking at legal troubles.

Of course the individual names themselves can be used – since there is no trademark or copyright on them (for obvious reasons). But that doesn’t mean you can go reproducing content.

Also re: Master of Whispers – I don’t think that it’s a throwback to Game of Thrones. It’s not exactly the most original title ever and it’s quite a generic fantasy type thing – which of course GoT is.

What does substantial form mean exactly and how losely would a Master of Whispers rip off need to be to avoid the wrath of the lawyers? Would a Jade Sea that was crossed with an area based on the Jade Forest of WoW be substantially different enough to avoid the wrath of the ArenaNet lawyers?

Ascalon is a reference to Israel’s Ascalon.

Kryta is a reference to the Krytocracy form of government which Kryta is when under the rule of the White Mantle.

Cantha’s name is a reference to the name Cathay which was once used to refer to China.

Kaineng City is a reference to both the ancient Chinese capital Kaifeng but also the Kowloon Walled City of Hong Kong.

The Jade Sea is likely a reference to the actual Jade Sea in Ethiopia. What’s more the inhabitants of Guild Wars’ Jade Sea the Luxons(who are themselves a reference to the Luxons from Farscape) resemble the Ethiopians in ethnicity despite the paper lanterns of China.

Elona is a reference to a genus of snail(what’s even more interesting is that Guild Wars was not the first to use the snail’s name as a reference but the game Elona also referenced the snail).

The Master of Whispers appears in Game of Thrones.

The point is that any media which wants to rip off of Guild Wars can do so without worrying about names or Copyright to begin with!

Which leads me ask: Are any of you making cartoons and willing to take inspiration from GW1? Ask this because I want to see a cartoon inspired by GW1.

I suspect that Scarlet is being duped by the Personal Nemesis(remember ArenaNet has stated before we were introduced to Scarlet that the Personal Nemesis would be someone we know) into attacking Primordus on the assumption that he’s the source of the voice….

There are many possibilities as to whom the Nemesis might be yet for the Nemesis to be someone we know it would have to someone we’ve seen and someone capable of shapeshifting at that if it’s the voice whispering into Scarlet’s head….

Jennah is implied to be trying to avoid direct contact with Logan. Why? Because she’s not Jennah of course! She’s the Nemesis in disguise! He/she would have to avoid Logan if he/she is to pull off his/her scheme perfectly… I also think Kasmeer might also be a candidate for one of the Nemesis’s disguises…

I’m also of the opinion that the Nemesis is the one who manipulated Zinn into creating those Golems… The Nemesis’s attempt to either remove the rulers from Tyria failed or worse…. Maybe fall of the Mursaat was the plan all along….

I believe the Nemesis could only be personal if he/She did something personal to us and what would be more personal than killing our mentors/Destiny’s Edge? We know Logan is loyal to his queen and if someone killed and impersonated her than Logan would recklessly attack the Nemesis and die thus causing the other members of Destiny’s Edge to rush in and die. That would make it personal!

If so how is she/he going to make it personal? Kill Destiny’s Edge maybe? What does she/he mean by playtime? Is she/he drawing Scarlet on a goose chase after her for her/his amusement?

The source of Scarlet’s corruption is in Mount Maelstrom which is near Tequal the Sunless…. Zhaitan has corrupted both Scarlet and Faolain! With Zhaitan dead it’s most strongest Champion is likely trying to absorb Zhaitan’s power….. That’s if Zhaitan isn’t dead!

I have to wonder more about Scarlet’s experiences with the “eternal alchemy” – what really was it that drove her crazy? “Information overload”, or did she come into contact with a malevolent entity that overtook her mind? And if so, who was it?

I’m guessing that’s where the story is leading, and possibly Scarlet’s plans are ultimately an attempt to physically release that entity into Tyria – but not terribly sure where the signs would point if so. Primordus doesn’t do mind control, and its minions don’t either. Some mursaat individual would be a little surprising, considering the means involved. I couldn’t discount Mordremoth. It would, um… kind of fit Abaddon’s M.O., but he’s supposed to be dead.

Scarlet bombarding a place with missiles isn’t changing it forever but there may be somethings that may change Tyria permanently….

1. Nightfall: Did anyone honestly think Nightfall was averted even after we found the Fractals and had Evon suggest looking for an Abbadon Fractal!?! Oh no… Abbadon had one trick up his sleeve even if we beat him…. Scarlet saw something and considering her interest in the Mists it might have been Abaddon himself!!!

2. Jungle Dragon awakens: Obviously judging from a certain star in the Jotun path of Ruins of Arah we might dealing with the Jungle Dragon’s return…..

3. Both of the above plus Jormag and Kralkatorrik make their moves: It would be epic if all the villains started making their move in 4 upcoming releases. Greater Frostbrood corruption of the Northern Shiverpeaks(Snowden Drifts and Wayfarer Foothills), Blood stained Madness in the Southern Shiverpeaks(Lornar’s Pass, Dredgehaunt Cliffs and Timberline Falls), Western Ascalon(Ashford, Fireheart and Diessa) becoming a Domain of Secrets, Eastern Ascalon(Iron Marches, Blazeridge Steppes and Fields of Ruin) becoming completely Branded, South Eastern Kryta(Gendarran Fields, Lion’s Arch and Bloodtide Coast) becoming a Domain of Anguish, North Western Kryta(Kessex Hills, Queensdale and Harathi Hinterlands) becomes a fleshy Domain of Pain, Maguuma Jungle gets invaded by the Jungle Dragon, Steamspur Mountains become an insectoid Domain of Fear….

If the Realm of Torment is Scarlet’s main target then we might gain 5 new interesting zones(Domain of Pain, Domain of Fear, Domain of Secrets, Domain of Anguish and the Depths of Madness)!

Using spores to invade the Realm of Torment would not be suprising.

The heat resistant spores could set up a Tower of Nightmares on the Fire Isles as a base and when combined with Scarlet’s armies would set things up for an attempt to breach the Realm of Torment(thus allowing Scarlet the means to cross Torment Creatures, Titans and Margonites with other beings).

The mysterious probes could direct the Elder Dragon energies to the second Tower of Nightmares where it will be used to breach the Door of Komalie and gain access to the Realm of Torment and all it’s secrets(the anomaly was made to give us a boss and thus has nothing to do with the story).

Scarlet may have seen Margonites in her vision which may have been enough to give Scarlet the inspiration to creat the Toxic Hybrid!

There was enough between the lines that, if you were paying attention, you can see what she was behind the facade, without making it obvious enough that you could be sure. And this is for someone who is, relatively speaking, still a relatively minor character.

If Kasmeer turns out to be Scarlet in diguise using Mesmer powers that were only hinted about during Tower of Nightmaresthen that would mean the leadup wasn’t wasted merely hidden deeper than we assumed(the End of Nightmares release hints even further with this theory I found with the reveal that Kasmeer’s outfit was an illusion) .
