Was fun last night in BG BL, JQ and BG were trying to push us off the map and hit a brickwall when they got to our hills. Thanks guys for keep coming over and over trying to take our hills that was fun. dupegate kept coming with omega after omega too the north hills. was fun cuz at one point there was only a few tsym and a couple pugs on whole map yet we were holding off numbers that were 10 times our numbers.
I read some of the posts ih here question why does blackhole cry so much about not having numbers when they have more players than JQ and SoR combined but they are no where to be found. Lost in the black hole somwhere I quess.
As much as I love to see people embellish the truth for a good story this one was lacking context and content.
Those of us on JQ were having the night of our lives farming up the west side of BG BL and getting into BG Garrision. We weren’t there to win the keep just for ourselves as long as it flipped by either side and in doing so we were enjoying the bags that were being delivered to us in the supply corner of Garrison. As we were getting fat on the bag delivery service we had ordered, TYSM/SOR ninjaed our spawn tower and proceeded to try and ninja Bay. Bad move. Considering a guild that prides itself on knowing the “map politics of the 2v1” they should have known what would happen next.
I’m not known for my forgiveness on the battlefield. Greatly enjoyed pushing TYSM and friends all the way back into Hills with our meager force. Things were going well until I noticed backup was called and there were now two SoR zergs running the map. TW/TWL and TYSM. I will give plenty of credit for the hold on hills but let’s face it, Hills is the easiest to hold in the game when it’s upgraded, waypointed, fully supplied with siege maxed out on arrow carts. It was too late in the night (2am EST) to worry about doing a 4 hours hills siege while clearing everything out. We were there to farm until we all got tired and decided to go drool on our pillows.
I know this post is out of character for me but wasn’t fond of the bold face lie of the forces SOR had on the map. Like I said, great hills defense with every available resource but as I’m sure you noticed we didn’t just waste siege and throw everything away on the walls.
Overall it was a fun night. Thank you BG and SOR for the fun fights. There were many guilds I saw out there to thank for those fights and to just name a few ICOA, TYSM, TW, KISS, etc. I know I didn’t know them all and for that I’m sorry.
same people posting every week saying the same stuff. I post random youtube videos and such. But I wonder why some complain and continue to play and play and play.
FYI: you do more damage when you’re really close to enemy. I’d rather be pressed on a tower wall shooting straight up dumping iniative. You know you can LOS there and cause enemy to jump up on the ledge for your teammates to damage.
Majority of the posts I read are players talking about me my self and I. WvW and Tpvp is bigger than you.
The best thing about this game is the freedom. Groups of players can setup how they would like to play it. Gvg all you want wvw all you want enjoy it and don’t complain about others playing the same game as you in a dif way.
I’ve been using norn bear a lot for the charge+knockback on target. I’m seeking a one shot with that attack 5. I’ve come really close and hope to pull it off. Norn elites are very fun and Im always laughing when I use. Cheers Norns!
You don’t watch my stream then to say I run from 1v1. I don’t duel players and I say that on stream. Staged fighting is not my thing while Im streaming.
Show me a 1v5 with equal skilled players. Ever try to 1v5 riot, I have and it does not work.

Strive for the spawning of fireworks over corpse and /w telling you that you’re bad. I’ve got this group that stream snipes me. Maybe I should watch the YouTube help videos they put out.
It’s pretty balanced in team fights. You need people dying quick and dont want them to rally. Also when a stomp happens in a team fight your friends rally.
Never play a thiefs game, make them chase you down.
I play a thief d/d no stealth traits. When I face the flavor of the month d/p I exploit the build or thief. If he wants to stealth and take pop shots at me. He better have nikes on cause I’m stretch the fight out. Or if I’m by some water ill jump in and make his traits useless. Shame the thief most of them will get all tunnel vision. Use players greed to get them killed.
And if you still have troubles with thieves move to SOR ill be your wingman / ice man out
I wvw to fight other good players/groups. Playing the point system is bland and boring.
It’s funny how people think explaining the system will make some others fine with it. We play this game to fight people in game not play for raiting on a website.
Why didn’t anet just reset all servers to zero. The new system would learn a lot faster PERIOD………………….I’m with my guildy / ol lady I quoted
We stomped on FEAR and TYSM last night and the night before easily. SoR still had 20 more than we did. After we get through the wells you guys become glass.

Um this glicko issue has been an issue for at least 6 months now and I’ve been calling it out as kitten for that long. SoR isn’t the first one to deal with losing rating by winning. You didn’t seem to care when it wasn’t effecting you, in fact you made fun of other servers for not “playing glicko correctly”. Learn to play glicko correctly.

And to the other posters standing up for RNG. Let us hope I’m able to tab target you this reset. Shall show you the power of the people beyond the wall!
The hero in that matchup is how well Sea of Sorrows is doing, even though they are so out manned. They are gaining 55 rating because they are putting up a fight when everyone, including the rating system, expected them to roll over and tick at 10 24-7. That’s not happening and they are getting rewarded for it.
Yeah on SOR we have the human element. One that does not care about raitings. We actually enjoy fighting other players that have the will to wipe us. That PPT is for wizards and trolls.
Gives your character over all more hp. A thief buddy went from 17 to 20k, I’ve only gone up 1k hp from 17 to 18k. I maxed my ac first and then had regret. So I posted this to save others.
Made no mention of tiers in my post. SOR wins the last of the old match up system. Gets RNG with TC / SOS from this new system. SOR are #1 on the leader board this week soon to be #2 and is winning this weak and losing rating.
No doubt a new system needs time to adjust. RNG math for the win!
Every mmo I move the strafe keys to a&d and use q&e for heals and OMG die buttons.
For any other special attack I always use tab&spacebar, in gw2 that’s my elite. Z/x/c are the rest of my key binds. Having everything grouped on the left side of the keyboard lets me have a fps feel.
I also use my direction keys to dodge so I still have s bind.
A friend and I tested this and ele and mes can still port on everything that shortbow can’t. I don’t see the issue with it to begin with. Letting a thief be mobile and able to scout and run away from zergs was legit. Anet you are starting down the wrong road a exodus is coming from all players and professions.
Only one more day and we get to dance with RNG. I wonder if SOR will continue to climb down the server list while wining. The math they use is why people have crap mortgages in MERICA.
Also what really grinds me gears, seeing Anet Devs running around on SOR killing SOS and TC. Those kittens should be on SOS and TC playing out this great match up system.
So, SoR guilds, I’m curious. I know we’re not really a threat PPT-wise, but how are we on the open-field? I hope we’re providing you with some good fights.
(Also, please stop dropping ACs and Ballistas when you have more people than us, it’s just bad form)
Way too many berserker builds IMO. If you’re going to make it in T1 you need to outlast an initial burst, not just make one and then die.
I don’t know of any guild on TC that views themselves as a WvW guild that runs berserker. However, the randoms and militia do seem to run to much berserker. You guys have more WvW savvy players than we do.
On the ACs and Ballistas, I’ll explain it to you. This usually sums up how a fight goes, at least for my guild.
1. Wipe SOR Zerg.
2. Zerg returns with more people.
3. Wipe them again.
4. Returns with more people.
5. Wipe them again.
6. Returns with more people.
7. We finally lose.
So… ACs and Ballistas help mitigate that a bit.
And what guild are you in? I’m sure some SOR guilds would like to be wiped by you guys. It’s in death that these guilds have freedom!
