D/P sleight of hand will be pretty good, which is a good thing since all other thief specs are “smash your head of the keyboard easy mode”, so I’m glad they’re all on the receiving hand of the nerf hammer.

Given that many high level GvG’s are recorded on youtube its plain ignorant to say 20vs20 is skilless or skill spam. If you GvG any real guild with that attitude of skill spam you will lose.
Are you really suggesting that gvg, or in fact ANY combat, in gw2 is not just spam? There are very few times in any part of the game that you dont just spam everything. There are exceptions but they are rare. Dont pretend 20vs20 is some skillful arena. It isnt. Not that 5v5 or 1v1 is particularly skillfull either. It is spam too. But slightly less than 20vs 20
Have you done them all at the highest level with equal amount of time? Or are you biased and enjoy your game play the most.
The best small group play is in wvw. Not spvp and not other games with small group balance being the only focus. Makin a name for one self in the boarder lands and YouTube is by far the highest prestige us in the gw2 community have.
err… the huge majority of thieves have been playing S/D evade spec for what?! 3 month now?! hardly anyone uses stealth these days… not to mention that the stealth “nerf” was a 1sec nerf to 1 specific utility… completely irrelevant!
Ill be logging in and streaming tonight, no nerf will ever effect me in this sort of way. I do cardio and like to squat and make people wait for the machine.
Don’t listen to any of these bullkitten. Roaming is all about using cheese build. D/p thief/shatter mesmer/staff condi mesmer/grenade engi/stun warriors. And make sure to have a way to disengage incase you are losing. That’s all to roaming, bunch of dudes using kitten build and then chest thumping saying they are good. Jokes.
Haha, my preferred method is to have a full group on mumble and call it solo roaming.
This was the point when the pvp players snapped and took to the streets. It’s been building this negative vibe. Instead of Anet awknowledging it and saying yes we’re adding gvg they got this thread. A bunch of words nothing violent just words.
Spvp has a lot of individual rewards, it’s like being on the wrestling team. Gvg/wvw youre on the football team. Just look at the spvp leaderboards for individuals not teams or guilds.

Limiting paying customers willing to spend money is dumb. First thing a consultant would tell Anet was give your player base gvg. Server rentals would go up player numbers in heart of the mist up.
Also the players acted rude but the dev was straight rookie. If the dev was sober he has issues.

I prefer to spend my Fridays watching you drink beer at your computer and stand for hours inside or around SM.

I solo roam wvw solo que in spvp roll with my guild in wvw and do gvg. If you only do one thing well you average. Big players do it all and see what’s worth playing in the moment. But I enjoy people behind the bubble it helps make me capatial in the real world.
Online events are basic , LAN events make sure all teams are equal. A online toruny win has no weight compared to a LAN event where you can see who you’re fighting face to face.

D/p is the hipster weapon set. D/d is the set that players use when they’ve assumed their ultimate form.
D/p is range and lets people have bad postioning and really tight pants. With d/d you must lift and do cross fit and have constant melee range of your target that’s also now in range of you.
The poster above said a solid tip. Melee circle the black powder ring all your attacks will land. It’s great when a thief just sits on it waiting for you to cross over the line and blind yo self.
