If my roaming group finds a group of people dueling “the other 2 servers” we kill them. People on the other servers know me now, they run. I’m not here for esports or trophy’s this game is not played on LAN. It’s open and free and I suggest stomping all over peoples party’s
I pre planed a new build, thought Id go 30 in crit and have hidden killer work with cnd.
That build lasted 3 rounds in spvp , and Im using the same spec I’ve had for months. Rangers seem really weak still and warriors.
If tpvp/spvp was not ruled by players who win trade and only play vs teams they don’t know I’d be a fan. That player base is on level with call of duty
Last night roaming in wvw it hit me that every cannon every ac had a player manning them. In every fight 1v1 or my party vs another you would see siege hitting us. In EB you can have a lock down of all your defensive ground with siege, even more if you have sm. I really play this game for player combat. Last night I was fighting people on cannons behind a wall.
Join my group of bandits on SOR , we form up around 10pm pst and handle EB. Lots of small scale group fights and solos. Watching out for zergs and being aware and knowning when to run is crucial. Life is better then death
Edit : EB you can find instant action the bls really don’t have a challenge. You can go to the bridges in most bls and find people toll roading. Just don’t lose you might end up in a second rate YouTube video
I’d like to see the thief dev explain his or her play style traits and weapon set / tier they’re in. Also ranks in wvw and spvp and how they play the 2 ( solo roam / transfer player ).
What the dumb how did they decide on mug healing for 2k. They think we will use it defensively? I use it when I’m full hp #facepalm. This is a band aid not a fix and it’s pretty random.
I’ve got no issues running around solo in t1 NA. In EB there is even gentlemen truce between some of us on different servers. We would much rather gank each others server then always kill each other. I truly think most of the people posting should hang up there mouse and store that keyboard in the attic. Get busy living or get busy dying
When you see a thief use black powder stand in the circle that is dropped. Have fun killing what you thought was op. Shame on you if you don’t know what black powder is or how it works. If you don’t know how a thief works how do you expect to defeat one! Most of you want easy kills just by the tone of your posts.
Summary : stand in circle stop thief from stacking stealth. Watch thief get mad his cheesy d/p failed. (I use death blossom, it stacks bleed and let’s me evade)
In a thief 1v1 the d/p has a easier fight then d/d. My 1300 hours played on thief gives me the right to end that discussion.
Edit: I would’ve watched the video but you need to let mobile devices watch. I’m in a spa reading the thieves forum. By the comments it’s great people are watching have fun editing and do what you want.
I enjoy seeing enemy thieves running up with BV pre pop. Sometimes I just stop and look afk. BV is a trigger for me, it tells me 2 things this thief won’t have an elite fighting me and most likely he is a full zerker hero. Thieves guild can do more damage then venom. If you know how to time the scorpion wire they do even better
Sword/pistol and short bow for weapons have the heal skill malice and grab shadow refugee when you can and shadow step. Grab mobs hit pistol whip enjoy!
Edit: caltrops waste of time and to micro combat to bring fast results. I’d rather save my dodge for defense instead of trying to damage off it.
The amount of pve mobs to square footage is way to dense. I’m sure in t8 the mobs out # players at some point. It’s great to see other threads like this.
No builds are secret everybody has the same option to spec. Nobody is special and everybody can be equal.
In my case I run d/d and sb, I get lots of bags. Not being downed is the biggest trick. When you have that down any spec / load out will work.
In Zerg fights I focus on prime targets, casters out of position / people already low / commander icon. Avoiding damage and staying alive is what I keep as my priorities while looking for those targets.
I’d agree with you, if there was build sites going up and stuff, but as their wasn’t….. it left us baffled.
Either way some great fun was had inside hills, with SOR holding out both BG and JQ.
There was build sites hence why you had siege firing at them. Please come up with better troll attempts then a screenshot of people at a known treb spot. It has NEVER been a wall jumping spot, that was over by the Vista. You guys are getting desperate now.
Desperate? It’s comedy in TS people kept saying “are they trying to climb?” If siege was going down I missed seeing it as I afk and ate sammmmich watching.
Since the guild I’m in has moved to SOR we’ve been extremely happy with the community. The TS server is lots of laughs Friday night shuffles are pure entertainment. The lack of drama and people complaining is refreshing. Oh and this server fights like you stole things from it.
Instead of debating it why not test it? Go to the heart of mist with another spreadsheet player and engage in combat. I’ve spent hours and hours with a fellow thief to see what load outs can take openings and what is fail.
Does not really matter what others think if you put in the time to test.
Malice will heal you when you do damage. Sword / pistol will let you pistol whip its a aoe attack (grab 2-3 mobs). This has little down time and lets you save cool downs for escape
Call of duty my little cousin plays that when he comes over. Maps are a giant box you run around the boarder camping re spawns. In tpvp you have fixed spawns and it’s even easier to control the maps. I’d rather play huttball in swtor then tpvp that was a refreshing game mode. Not some Arathi Basin / Eye of the storm clone that gives me flashbacks of WoW.
I play solo almost exclusively. I fight random people while running around taking supply camps/caravans/guard posts.
I’ve tried several other builds but this one seemed to provide the best damage/defense ratio I could find using D/P.
I am currently running S/D as second set but that may change to short bow soon.
The fluidity of the D/P play style is much better than D/D post patch and the blind helps with being exposed for the extra second.
I used patience to improve my init regen instead of going for the extra 3 init which would have decreased over all dps or survivability.
Just wanted to share is all…
EDIT: Wanted to mention that without having the blind powder. I could not take a camp solo. After the nerf D/D + S/D could not solo a camp. You need X/P as balanced thief.
Im still soloing camps easy with D/D and S/D or SB…
The Best part of the whole situation is DB is now basking in the glow of the fact that Tsym quit against us. True Story!

I want to see the ladder, at least in its base form. I believe its the first fundamental step in a good direction for an esport game. I expect it will be minimalist at first, but the functionality if there can open the door to a full fleshed out ladder and progression system. I hope in future to see guild rankings and such leveraging this system.

T3 has the most ebon flow coverage. I’ve been t1/2 and now 3 out of them all 3 has the best atmosphere for someone not wanting zergs but still likes guild groups. 1/2 is a Zerg and is about #s you lose that in t3 so hope that helps.
Ever start a solo fight and end up with a pack of wolfs and a player who rally’s 4 times. It’s great when a friendly runs by and instead on stomping a downed player goes for the mob at 10%. The amount of pve mobs must out number t5- active wvw players, I’m pretty sure the deer and moas win those tiers.
Edit: oh yeah cut the current amount in half, I’d really rather load players then mobs
I’m guessing it partially due to no one would be able to even attempt to identify what class you are or could be by your gear.
I’d be fine if they let people wear town clothes with town clothing stats, though. I don’t think you should get to wear town clothes with full combat gear stats. You want to wear town clothes it’s a sacrifice.
I’d like a top hat. It would go great with the rest of my outfit.
