My main gripe with GW2 is the fact that everything you do is for gear.

What kept me playing GW1 for so long was the fact that everything you did was for skills.

I agree. The longer you played, the better skills you could get in more harder to reach places. I liked that.

I understand that Anet wants to make GW2 equal to everyone… but the truth is, a game is much more fun if some people are better and some aren’t. xD Am I wrong? In GW1 this was the reason why the community was so great, because people helped each other. We had runners, mission runners, farmers, title farmers, and just everyone who helped anyone to get a mission, bonuses, elite skills etc.

Armours (gw1 armours are so much better…)
CAPES!
Trading with other players
Capturing elite skills
Bigger party sizes!
The chat interface… ._.

I actually like the legendary skins… They’re funny and unique. And they’re just skins at the end of the day… no one is required to get them.

I was wondering if Anet had any plans on bringing special weekends back, like in GW1. It would perhaps entice more people for certain things. For example:

Free waypoint travel for two days.
Free armour repairs…
Double chance for dye drops…
Double chance for exotics from chests.
Double karma and/or XP?

These are just some ideas.

Can anyone check which server it is uncontested on? Been trying for a couple of days, and it seems most servers aren’t bothering any time soon

So I was comparing the necromancer from GW1 to the GW2 necro and am rather dissapointed that in GW2 necromancers don’t get to make use of corpses anymore, which for me is an iconic necromancer ability. I understand that with the open world and enemy respawn that reanimating corpses would make things more complicated…

However with the recent update that stops people from rezzing when a party member is in combat, I figured it would be great if the necromancers had an elite skill that could temporary reanimate a players character and make use of his corpse.

The possibilities of how this would work are endless. The player’s corpse could become playable again with certain undead skills, the corpse could go on auto attack, the player revives again if they manage to kill something, or the player just simply drops dead again after a certain amount of time, etc.

No doubt there are lots of loopholes in this idea, but just throwing the idea out there.

The monthly achievements will change, go figure, every month…. If people will complain every month we might need a separate forum section.

So I completed a lvl 10 daily fractal today, after the monthly had reset, yet it didn’t count towards my dungeon participation.

Either fractals don’t count as dungeons, or I need to finish a fractal at my highest level. Can anyone give more information on this?

I too find the UI a bit difficult to look at and work with. I understand they want it to reflect the art theme that is part of GW2, but it’s terribly confusing at times. (and I don’t have any eyesight disabilities)

Windows are difficult to organise, and barely any re-sizing allowed. It feels very chunky and big. But my biggest issue is that I tend to lose windows when I open several at the same time and they’re hard to find again. Something I never had an issue with in GW1 for some reason.

If there is a mod out there that simplifies the UI and makes it more flexible, I wouldn’t mind having it…

I think I have seen sons of svanir and corrupted wolves that far down the map before. Not sure about ice spikes though. Pretty sure it’s normal, but who knows..

I’m fairly sure sometime in the future we will have alliances.

As has been said before; GW1 allowed us to make and play with friends from anywhere in the world. Come GW2; we are now divided pretty much permanently unless a few people give in and change servers (that could be full anyway). Sad sad news.

I wholeheartedly agree. Today I actually found myself doing an event with gasp …3 other people. It was amazing.

On the other hand, you can get to level 80 perfectly fine on your own. Just play the game (with or without events) and you’ll get there at a fast enough rate. Do some professions, and it goes even faster. But I agree, in such a big world, it does get lonely at times.

I’m as hopeful as most people, but I also doubt this will be the case. It might be too early to release so much new content. Heck, I haven’t even played all professions and races yet.

If there will be a major update, I’m guessing it will be more story line for our characters, more lore and perhaps a few maps. Or even building on the latest lost shore map.

You’re not the only one this has happened to. People who suddenly get a big influx of gold from friends (and family in your case) get blocked because it looks like you illegally bought gold.

You didn’t do this (I assume), so you will have to wait till they resolve your ticket. I’m sure they’ll get to it soon. Don’t give up on it!

In the future, let her give you one or two gold a day. That way it doesn’t look so suspicious.

Ah… Stand Your Ground does have a voice for my female human guardian. My fav shout is Save Yourselves. It sounds so cool ^.^

I am puzzled about the home instance too. I remember checking my home instance a few time in divinity’s reach to see how it would reflect my personal story line, but nothing.

I don’t think any company would want to admit that there are major flaws in what they have created. When Arenanet DOES talk they mask their comments with butterflies and rainbows. But this is how it is. I have no doubt they are working hard, but their communication SUCKS.

I love your suggestions. I agree that the socialization aspect took another hit. I’ve been trying to find a group for Arah for three days now, but everyone seems obsessed with the fractals because they have better drops.

And I’m getting SICK of being dumped in overflow and have that silly pop up box on my screen constantly. I’m pretty sure I joined a server… I’d like to stay on it.

And about the drops in PvE, the last major update apparently should have addressed drops in PvE and champions. But I have yet to notice it.

I don’t enjoy the fractal difficulty levels, for the same reason you mentioned. I was especially bummed after finding out level progression is character bound. And I think most people don’t realize this, because 80% of groups are asking for level 25 and up now. It’s nearly impossible to find a lower level group.
For this reason, I would LOVE a global party search feature. I’m still very surprised this wasn’t a feature since release. Party search is a must if you implement dungeons and other group activities.

I agree. Going for the Bifrost as well…. and I’m not sure how to get 750 piles of that dust. Ectos are easier to get lol

I agree. I keep checking for updates and get frustrated more and more when I don’t see anything. The most we get from them regularly is to keep our conduct proper. But they don’t realize the more they will communicate with us, the less annoyed we’ll be.

If the band tours at 4AM on a work day after issuing a manifesto about how ‘all’ users should be able to attend the way they want to, I blame the band.

I admit Orr wasn’t THAT enjoyable. I just did it to have it finished and haven’t returned to that place whatsoever. Other areas are so much more enjoyable.

Orr is a pain alright. It’s doable, but it’s impossible to sneak through it and not have 10 undead on your butt within seconds. I asked a friend of mine to join me with Orr maps, and I’m so glad we did it together. I don’t think I would have enjoyed doing all that alone.

Hmmm I like the guild hall idea. I agree that a new lvl 80 zone wouldn’t really accomplish much in the long term. But I’m always happy to explore new areas

I agree with the anti-social part. In GW1 I would zone all over the place to help out people here and there, and that was what made the game fun; interaction. 80% of the time I would not even play GW1 unless I knew I had someone to play with or I could group up with some random players.

I already feel alone enough in GW2 (most events are so void of players), why do I need to pay to go to my friends?

I agree. So far I only have one GW2 title which is Combat Healer I think (proudly displaying that). The rest is all GW1 HoM. I’ve completed several other GW2 titles, but no option to display them 8( sad stuff
