Just when I started to have some faith in A.Net restored by their latest decisions and actions we get this…
- We learnt the lesson. A second expansion is in work and will be released as soon as possible.
Is it just me or is anyone else having a baaaad feeling about those two statements right after one another…?
I hope those learnt lessons confine on map design, boring map meta events as endgame content and to not gate story/content behind mastery grind and not the “difficulty” increase.
But this announcment somehow smells like the next xpac will be a precipitous and unfinished one

I’m running v364.72 with a 980M on Windows 10, and have had no issues. Generally get 60+ FPS on ultra high except in extremely crowded areas. Haven’t tried the latest version yet, will probably try updating tonight.
Cheers mate, appreciate your answer! Will try v364.72 on the weekend crossing fingers

Heh, Mr. “if I ever get an asc. chest out of fractals, chances that it’s a pauldron chest are 99%” here
May be they could add a mystic forge recipe to change them boxes like you can change the stats of asc. gear already.
Thinking about something like “Chest of asc. Glove (or whatever you got and don’t need) – Anthology of Heroes – X Ectos (not sure if only 5 would be ok) – Exotic Armor Piece” = Chest of asc. Armor

This thread makes me feel nostalgic, it’s so… 2012/13.
To sum up what was already writen over and over the past years again:
- support in GW2 comes mainly from traits and skills, not from gear
- talking about PvE, thanks to active combat defensive stats are simply not needed; consider them training-wheels or the lazy man’s choice (exclusion: raids if you’re the tank or healer)
- WvW is a total different cup of tea. there’s definetly room and good use for all kind of gear choicesAnd on a side note- did it really take you 8 (!) months to figure this out, OP?
Well thats good pvp has more room for different gear, and of course not I tried to get into this long ago and didnt play long, just recently ive been playing and really got into it and buy hot, why are you looking up my stuff anyways? Thanks for the information, I think……
No offense, but since this is such an ooooooold topic that got discussed a gazillion times already, I simply wasn’t sure if it’s just another troll post of someone that is already playing for years and thinks it’s funny to bring up issues that we’ve been over and over (and over…) again. None taken:) But is that wink sarcasm lol? I dont troll and thats an odd topic for trolling if you ask me.
No sarcasm intended at all, just tried to be friendly. And yes, it is indeed an odd topic for trolling, but then again there has been a lot of weird troll posts in the past. Maybe I start getting paranoid or something, but if I respond to a question, I try to give as much info as possible which takes a certain amount of time (esp. since english ain’t my native language), so I rather double check before typing. No smileys this time to prevent confusion.
I just have to say, after using Berserkers on multiple characters on lots of different content, the fights do not end 50% faster. They end probably about 5% quicker, and I guess you might get an accumulative effect with 5 man content of 20% faster. But if everyone dies then you have to restart the content. I suppose that doesn’t happen when everyone knows the mechanics of the fight for all of the content, but if a person pugs the content, they aren’t necessarily running with people that can hold up their end of the canoe, and it takes a lot more effort to survive.
Interesting experience and totally opposed to my own. When I started playing back in 2012, I didn’t care much about theorycrafting n stuff and simply enjoyed the world, chosing gear and stats the way I thought it would suit my characters. After a couple of months when I had my first few 80s, world completion and story were done, I started to get bored with the open world, so I began to try out dungeons. And even though I managed to get one path after another done, it often was a hard struggle to do so. Ofc the main reason was inexperiencedness, but even on repeating paths I knew, I often felt like hitting like a wet noodle.
That was the point when I started to gather more information about game mechanics n stuff. So I started to gear and trait more offensivly and to my surprise, everything went smoother and that not only in dungeons but also in the open world. Veterans that proofed some kind of challenge before just melted. Having them fall in one burst instead of fighting them for half a minute or minute was a very noticeable difference.
The thing is- the harder the mob, the more noticeable the difference between offensive gear+traits and defensive ones becomes.
But to take a real advantage out of it, you need everyone to join that boat or have to skill to solo the content and carry the rest, since the correct maths would be “party of 5, everyone increases his personal dps by 5% = the fight ends 5% faster”. If only one of those five pushes his dps by 5%, the party dps is only increased by 5%*1/5 = 1%. That doesn’t sound much, but in my experience the difference between defensive/balanced gear coupled with a similar trait choice and offensive gear + offensive traits is more like twice or trice dps. And all that without sticking to “meta builds” inch by inch (though an efficient build will always include parts of the meta builds, since, well, they’re meta for a reason).
tl;dr: the difference between offensive and defensive/balanced gear/builds in PvE is very noticeable, just make sure to play with mindlike people since one outlier doesn’t have that much of an impact in group content

Are you using Win10? There are a lot of ppl on the forums complaing about major FPS drops lately and it all seems to boild down to this:
I believe the unholy fps trinity is as follows:
Gw2 spring update patch
Nvidia driver update 364.72
Windows 10
So you might check your driver version or if there were any stealth windows update changing your settings (e. g. power saving options etc.).
If that’s not the case, try to reseating your GPU to ensure it sits properly in its slot and runs at full speed.

Well, though I see why some people dislike the JP daily (I’m not a fan of JPs, but they’re not too bad either), I still prefer them over the world boss daily.
Reason is simple: I see which JP it is and immediatly can decide wether I want to do it or not. There are many quite fast and simple JPs out there, if it’s one of those, I do it. If it’s one of the more complicated ones, I still can go there and either try to finish them or ask for a kind mesmer soul to port me to the end. Often I see mesmer portals being set up for other players before one could even ask for a portal.
World bosses on the other hand always anoyed me for one simple thing: timers. More than not it happened to me that I logged on, checked what world boss was up for the daily, just to find out that it was up 15 mins ago. Pretty meh if you plan to only play for one or one and a half hour. And even if your online for longer, you’d always have to watch the clock to not miss the boss next time.
tl;dr: I rather have JPs for daily since I can chose myself wether they’re worth it for me or not, than a world boss that is no challenge by itself anyway and 100% depends on being online at the right time

Hey folks, I got a questions to all the people that play GW2 on a laptop with a dedicated nVidia GPU.
I already had major issues with a driver update a few months ago that forced me to downgrade my driver version.
Now I bought Star Wars Battlefront on the May the 4th sale and ofc the game askes for a more current driver version (v359.06 or newer).
Then again, there’s this thread that makes me feel like v364.72 doesn’t work with GW2 either.
So if you’re running GW2 on a laptop with a Geforce m series GPU and found a driver version between v359.06 and the latest v365.10 that works well, it would be kind to let me so I won’t have to spend half a day playing driver versions try-and-error.

Guess I’m having horrible RNG then (oh, the breaking news… not.). Since they invented those encryptions I tried to get along with only the keys I got as rewards (and bought some for matrices back when you could get 2 keys for 1 matrix). Still I’m sitting on a ~ 6:1 boxes:keys ratio, so…
Anyway, even if you did buy your keys, the rng usually means you’re earning gold rather than losing it.
… I decided to spend half of the gold we now get for our daily to buy 5 keys everyday.

Though I feel your pain with Warriors and there’s certainly still much free space on the balancing board, this looks rather like a rock-scissor-paper issue with some added l2p spice.
I play a full glass ranger in WvW. So while he truly shines in larger battles and small scale fights, if comes to 1v1, 1v2, 2v1, 2v2 battles, it usually becomes a 50:50 situation. Or more like a 10:90 situation if a warrior is involved, since they have all the tools to survive my burst and counter it with their own cc and burst. And even if I manage to get the upper hand, they got all the great escape tools to get away. Anoying? Totally. Unfair? Well, ask the next best mesmer/thief that got rekt by “Sick ’em!” + rapid fire.
tl;dr: try to improve your gameplay and accept the fact that some classes+builds shine on different occasions.

There are like 3000 easy to get skins in this game, plenty of options if you want to be different instead of prestigious. And guess what Anet keeps adding more and more easy to get skins via gem shop for the people who want trash skins. No need to ruin old skins people worked hard for.
How does a skin that you can just buy from the TP have any prestige in the first place?
If it was a skin that you can only get as an RNG drop from aetherpath then I would agree with you, but anyone can farm 500 gold and buy the skin.
+1. Even more so in a game in which you can gather absured amounts of gold by not even “playing” but simply using it as an economic simulation aka flipping the TP.

Either the last hot-fix broke it again or I don’t know, but it’s still broken for me.
Attached 2 pics, the first one showing me in party with my wife in TD (see red squares), but her nameplate doesn’t show up. On the second, I manually hovered my cursor over her avatar and her nameplate shows up.
Before the issue appeared (see starting post), same settings always led to the 2nd pic result, no matter where my cursor was.Well, as I said in a post early in this thread, what happens in your 1st pic seems to be like it was supposed to be before all, even though that how it wasn’t before. For consistency’s sake unchecking “Show All Players Name” should have hidden it, no matter if in party or not. However, that wasn’t the former behavior and possibly it was a “bug”, but as it had been there for ages people just got used to it as “feature”. Possibly the current stage is how it “should have been” and then it was “fixed”. I’m just guessing here, I don’t know if it was the actual reason though. The previous state with only a health bar might have been a “failed” attempt to “fix” the “bug”.
Yepp, you did. And I already replied to that (hate to quote myself but…)
Bump for this bug report. Though I already filed a bug report yesterday ingame, I hope this thread will get some attention.
No matter if this change fixed an unintentional bug or invented a new one, there needs to be the possibility to permanently have someones partymembers names on screen while having all others not showing up.
And my opinion remains the same. If it doesn’t bother you, good for you, but it does bother others. And as long as there’s no official statement that the former far more convenient behaviour was an unintended bug I expect the newer, totally inconvenient behaviour, being the bug that needs to be fixed.

(edited by Nash.2681)
Various reasons.
1.) None of them looks that much appealing to me that I would consider it worth to focus on getting it
2.) Never got a precursor yet and to me, a legendary should feel like a big reward. And it wouldn’t feel alike if I’d just go and buy a precursor off the TP; and I also somehow feel cheating by the game having to buy something what others get for free by killing a yellow moa or something compareable simple (maybe that point is somewhat irrational, but that’s how feelings work sometimes)
3.)Precursor hunt ain’t an option for me either, since to me they are mind numbing collections coupled with an enormous gold/material sink on the crafting side. Doesn’t feel like the reward it should be and imo has nothing to do with the once announced “epic journey”.
4.) Same goes for the HoT legendaries (though I really like Nevermore, but what I said at 3.) kills it for me)

1) though moderator’s seem to be quite generous when it comes to giving infractions lately for comments that don’t blindly praise everything A.Net does, getting banned still takes some effort. And I don’t know if it’s a good idea to have those people participating in the discussion
They’re “generous” when it’s someone clearly breaking the rules. Saying “your kitten kittening sucks, go die” is vastly worse than saying “XYZ arent good things, ABC being the reasons.” You dont need to “blindly praise” them to avoid infractions.
Believe me, it takes much, much less to get an infraction. But anyway, those “clearly breaking the rules” (like in your example) aren’t the audience I’d like to have participating in a discussion about the future of this game.
2) why should someone not owning GW2 care at all about upcoming changes and the direction the game takes!?
Really…? If people not owning a license to the game didnt care about new things coming to the game, who would be the new players that begin playing the game? Or are they all secretly advanced AIs based off cleverbot?
Uhm, whenever I’m looking for a new game I take a look at what the game generaly is about (genre, playstyle, payment, hardware req., etc.), maybe check some major gaming homepages about how they rate it, try out a demo version if there’s any, but I certainly won’t dig into every detailed aspect of the game beforehand or even bother about a dev Q&A about the next update
I admit that the reddit format (though I really dislike it and find it very tedious to follow a discussion there) might suit a Q&A better than a classical forum, but… they could also implement some sort of live chat to this page. Shouldn’t be too much work nowadays. And for moderation, they could only make it accesible for those sessions = no need for perma live moderation.
So I think it all comes down to your last point…. reasons
Changes to the site, at least the forums, in such a way that would allow such interactions are, unfortunately, resigned to the pit of things called Technically Impossible. Main reason being that they’d have to completely restructure the BTS workings of the forums. Coincidentally, it’s the same reason they cant fix the search function.
That’s why I said “to this page” and not “to this forums” . Like a fifth link at the very top of this page “Dev Q&A chat” leading to a new and seperate page specificaly for that purpose. When there’s no Q&A, the link would be deactivated. As long as they make a quick and clean new page for it, I don’t see why that should be technically impossible.
I mean, I don’t demand them doing so, it’s just a suggestion of how they could interact with their playerbase through their very own homepage, avoiding to force people to fall back on utilizing other platforms they normaly wouldn’t bother to visit.

By putting it on Reddit:
1)They allow people to post who have been banned from posting on official forums (there are many)
2) can reach players who don’t currently have GW2 and reply
3) independent moderation (no ANET dictatorship in some people’s eyes – not mine !)
4) allows f2p players to also take part in the discussion and reply
5) ANET uses reddit as the GW2 unofficial forums -
Devs seem to have a more relaxed policy what they can say on Reddit vs official forums (which requires pre approvals etc).…. Reasons
1) though moderator’s seem to be quite generous when it comes to giving infractions lately for comments that don’t blindly praise everything A.Net does, getting banned still takes some effort. And I don’t know if it’s a good idea to have those people participating in the discussion
2) why should someone not owning GW2 care at all about upcoming changes and the direction the game takes!?
3) well, if that’d be the case it would say a lot about the internal atmosphere at Arena.Net…
4) well, good intention, but I don’t think it’s neccesary to get those people on board that play the cut down demo version of the game that misses so many features
5) was already proven wrong; I mean, they could have sticked to the GW1 model (no official forum, some officialy supported fan-made-forums, like the guru one), but they decided to make an official one, so I see why people expect them to use it as their main communication channel
I admit that the reddit format (though I really dislike it and find it very tedious to follow a discussion there) might suit a Q&A better than a classical forum, but… they could also implement some sort of live chat to this page. I merrily rejoiced when I saw that ranger sword AA finally gets fixed (something I haven’t felt for a long long time when it comes to GW2 tbh) and that red portal in LA… since I doubt we’ll get another raid (wing) yet and still it seems to be assoiciated to raids… maybe it’s the entrance to some kind of raid lobby? And for lols and giggles it’s only accesible by gliding through it (which would make sense, since you need HoT anyway to acces raids and people not owning HoT wouldn’t be bothered with “sorry, this is not for you messages”)?

General info was already given by Fermi, but since you’ve given some details about your laptop hardware… I hope your laptop wasn’t expensive or even advertised as made for gaming.
The U series is designed for running at low power settings so temperatures won’t go too high and are usually used in very slim notebooks/ultrabooks.
So your stuck with a dual core cpu with not so great single core performance. Next is the Geforce 930m. Sounds good on paper, but unfortunatly it’s a budget GPU.
For comparison I just checked some benchmarks: my 3,5 years old laptop has an i7 3720qm and a Geforce 660GTX. The CPU offers roughly twice the performance the i5 5200U does and the GPU is somewhere between 30% and 50% faster than the 930m.
So as Fermi said- you can savely try different settings and test how well they run, but I wouldn’t expect too much on that laptop.
Oh, one thing you should check aswell is wether GW2 uses the 930m or the built-in intel-HD graphics of the CPU. If it doesn’t use the 930m, force it to do so in the nVidia software. And another note- latest nVidia drivers don’t always go well with GW2 when it comes to mobile GPUs (see various other threads in this subforum).

No, don’t change this! This is excactly how i want it! At least make it optional to keep it the way it is now. Espacially while in a squad where all the blue names becomes annoying clutter, wich was the main reason for me NOT to join squads until now.
You’re aware that squads are a different thing? I mean, I’m totally with you on this issue itself, I hate joining squads myself for this very reason, but that’s a topic for a squad UI revamp (there were some really great suggestions in the WvW subforum, hope they were seen by officials). And the reply above you pointed to this already:
I will ask about this one. Sorry we didn’t see it earlier.
Can you introduce an UI option to toggle group nameplates on and off? I — for instance — do not like to see all the nameplates in big WvW squads. I only want so see enemy nameplates. It keeps the fights clearly.

Nash, if you do fractal levels starting at 75 and working your way down to 1, what do you expect your personal reward level to be when you’re done?
I’d expect it to be 76 since all levels from tier 1 to 3 were succesfully finished, but after all that was said in this thread I see it would probably be 37 or something (though it shouldn’t be imo).
But it’s not stuck. All you need to do is repeat level 75 and you’ll be back where you want to be. Why is it so vitally important that YOU are the one that has to open the instance?
Or heck, in the time it’s taken you to post in this thread, you could’ve run level 77 3 or 4 times with everyone who runs that one daily and be farther along.
Alright, I admit “stuck” is the wrong term since apparently I can still progress. It’s also totally not vitally important that I’m the one opening the instance (though still inconvenient), it’s just the consequence of it.
Yeah, I could have run dozens of swamps in the meantime. But I didn’t. Probably cuz I write on this forums when I have some spare minutes at work. No good idea to play here though (the crappy machine I’m sitting at wouldn’t be able to handle GW2 anyway but that’s a different story…). Anyway, I don’t think that the time I spend playing vs. my forum activity has anything to do with the issue itself.
Again:
A mechanic isn’t “wrong” or even flawed just because it works differently from how a handful of players expect it to function.
You misunderstood the mechanic and you’re upset. I get that. Still, at best the mechanic is not bugged — what you want is for ANet to change it to a more complicated set up, which would mean creating a suggestion in the /game or /dungeon forum.
Alright, I understand it’s no bug and I appreciate the clarification in this thread, but I guess we won’t come together about wether the system is flawed (to me it really is) or not.
Anyway, since apparently it is no bug but just an artificial punishment for playing a fractal tier not in the given order, this thread can be closed.
Leader of “Servants of Balance” [SoB], a small guild endemic to the FSP.
So if that results in a wrong personal reward level or even is supposed to be like that, it would be just another nail in the “ANet logic, plz smash your head —> wall” coffin…
It’s the opposite: rather than forcing you to “smash your head” by running every level from 1 to 75 to grow your personal level to 75, the game allows you to run L75 seventyfive times or L1-50 followed by 76-100 (with someone else ‘opening’).
A mechanic isn’t “wrong” or even flawed just because it works differently from how a handful of players expect it to function. ANet definitely offers plenty of examples of weird or foolish mechanics, but this isn’t one of them.
The thing is- I did EVERY level from 1-75 at least once. Every. Single. One.
So I really don’t get why it should be normal that my personal reward level mismatches, even if I didn’t play all levels one after another. To me, that’s a perfect example of a “foolish mechanic”.
May be I would care less if we still had good old fotm, but with the new “super fun and exciting” post HoT fotm this is just anoying.
€: I mean, you struggle yourself @75. And even though I made it and it wasn’t particulary hard or something, it was super-boring and definetly no fun. Just say “random fear” and everyone that did higher fotm will moan, knowing exactly what you mean. And that’s just one of the issues with that level range.

It’s a game that is, at its core, dependent on single core performance, but it does have enough threads that you’ll see benefit from a CPU with 4 threads.
That’s the point, threads. So in theory a cpu with 2 cores + 4 threads should be sufficient.
Anyway, since the question was wether to aim for an i5 or an i7, I think we all agree that it doesn’t really matter as long as we’re talking about GW2.
Leader of “Servants of Balance” [SoB], a small guild endemic to the FSP.
Everything was alright after I finished 1-50. Now after doing all levels from 51-75, even got the achievement + box, my personal level is stuck.
I reckognized my personal level being lower than it should be according to the achievement list somewhen at the late 50s or mid 60s, but was hoping to set it straight again after finishing all the 51-75 levels.
I did not do all the levels one after another, e. g. when I’ve already done 51-58 and a friend I played with was at 61 already, we played 62-64, another time I filled the 59-61 gap. Don’t pin me down on the exact levels, but I hope you get what I’m saying.
When I reached 70, I did the remaining levels (71-75) in the given order.
So if that results in a wrong personal reward level or even is supposed to be like that, it would be just another nail in the “ANet logic, plz smash your head —> wall” coffin…

Did the 75 jellyfish yesterday, expecting the worst. But besides his hilarious amount of hp coupled with personal dps feels cut by 50% underwater due to bad trait synergies etc., it went surprisingly well.
Party composition was two Dragonhunter’s, one Reaper, one Revenant and one Elementalist (lfg party, though one DH and the Reaper seemed to know each other and the other DH was me with my wife, the ele). We didn’t really do anything special besides constantly kiting the jelly, keeping his adds low and breaking jelly’s break bar regulary. Only our reaper died once after he got eaten and realized, that he didn’t have enough AR without his land weapons
Notable fun fact- the “no more AR when the jelly eats you” bug seems to be solved, none of the others that happened to get eaten had any issues to survive.
Last advise- check your traits before you attack. E. g. as a DH I usually never go out without the Zeal line, but for this fight I dropped it, since underwater there’s almost 0 synergy on it besides the 7% damage modifier vs. burning foes. Equiped Honor instead for Pure of Voice, going into Radiance might have worked aswell for the extra blinds vs. the adds. What I want to say is, most regular builds lose significant effectivness underwater, so adjust accordingly.

Already reported this issue multiple times ingame but for what it’s worth I’ll write it down again here…
In short: my personal fotm reward level is not what it is supposed to be. I have done each fotm level from 1-75, yet my personal reward level is 75 and thus I can’t open the next missing one (76) myself.
I already had this issue back than at the Casual- and Core-Fractal achievement, probably because I played the levels in both categories criss-cross, filling gaps for the achievement later. But after completing all the 1-50 fractals, I was set again.
Unfortunatly, the issue re-appeared on the 50+ levels.
I just finished the “Elite–Fractal Veteran” achievement yesterday, hoping this would solve the issue, but nope, my personal reward level is still behind.
Since I have 0 incentive to do all those levels again (hp sponges coupled with an unhealthy amount of random fears anyone?), I hope there will be a proper fix to this.

For GW2 (and most other games actually) it doesn’t matter wether you aim for an i5 or i7 since (as you stated correctly yourself) GW2 doesn’t really use multiple cores, so it’s the single core performance that matters.
So your decision should depend on what else you wanna do with that laptop.

If you happen to speak/understand german, you can also use their forums, bunch of smart and helpful people there: http://www.notebookchat.com/ (or you can just try writing in english, I assume that won’t be that much of a problem).

Reading the topic… “bad precursors”…. you are aware that there are thousands of players that have played thousands of hours each and have never ever (and probably never will) see a precursor drop and would go completly nuts if they got what you got? And you come to the forums in all seriousness and complain about a “bad precursor” drop? I’m speechless.

Did all the cry-babies from last year seriously made you kill the joke this year, Anet? You do realize, I hope, that it’s your first year in a live game that has no new April Fools’. It makes me sad. And I know it’s me this year who’s spoiling the fun, but I would like the joke to return next year, please…? I don’t want April Fools’ to be just a SAB festival every year from this point onwards, it would be an end of a beautiful tradition :/
+1 for this.
Just realized that there’s no april’s fools joke this year besides some semi-funny fake patch notes. That’s even more sad than the fact that suddenly since SAB came back, it seems impossible to do something else in the game. HoT meta events? Good luck finding enough people. Get your usually people for fotm/dungeons ‘n stuff? No way since they’re split 50:50 between the “oh my- SAB is back, yay! See you after april 19th.” and those that don’t care.
I didn’t even think it was possible for a GW game to put me to a “guess it’s time for a break” mindset. I’m shocked.

Noticed this yesterday aswell. After reading the description, I’m not sure if it’s a bug or intended, since it clearly says something like “due to what’s already unlocked it won’t contain the following chapters: 1 – 8, price was adjusted accordingly”. So showing LS2 for the price of 0 gems seems correct to me, since I unlocked all chapters already when they went live for the first time.

I grew up playing the 8-bit and 16-bit consoles. But I have to say, I really don’t see what all the fuss is about with SAB. It’s fun for 5 minutes, but that’s about it. But that’s just my opinion. I’d rather see the devs work on GW2 over a mini game with in GW2.
That really does not have any bearing on the topic at all.
Considering the OPs intention, nothing besides an official Dev response would have. But that’s just not how forums work.
And even though I assume BrotherBelial is not a A.Net Dev, his answer is somewhat relevant to the topic. Besides those screaming for SAB for the past years over and over again, there are also those feeling the way he does. Let me repeat the relevant part:
“It’s fun for 5 minutes, but that’s about it. But that’s just my opinion. I’d rather see the devs work on GW2 over a mini game with in GW2.”
So in case of the tiny, tiny possibility some Dev will look into this topic it’s totally legit to show them that there are also players that do not want them to work on additional SAB worlds as long as there’s still so much work to do for GW2 itself.

Right now only up to level 10 FoTM is required.
At one point you need the raven in the solid ocean fractal for which one has at least to run a lvl 20 fotm.

An issue not being in that known issues tracker doesn’t mean that it’s not acknowledged. It only list issues they are currently working on, since investigating to really testing a fix. Also, not all issues will appear there, it’s merely a manually-curated list. The maintainer of that list explained it better here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Announcing-the-Known-Issue-Tracker/6021973.
Well, thanks for that link, but after reading that, bumping this topic regularly seems even more important:
The list is missing a lot of things. Inclusion on the list is not based solely on the number of reports – to be honest it’s mostly a matter of it coming on my radar. There are several ways that can happen:
In-game reports
Customer Support tickets
Posts in the official bug forums (I try to keep up on these but sometimes miss things)
Reddit posts (same as the forums)
Me painstakingly combing through our bug databaseAs it says at the top the tracker, two types of bugs are also intentionally not included:
- Very minor stuff (like typos, small display issues, or super-edge-case stuff that will likely never be seen by anyone)
– Anything that could be exploited
So since it’s definetly nothing that can be exploited and got reported several times, I guess it didn’t come to their attention yet or they consider it a minor issue (which imho it is not)

Known issues tracker got updated yesterday, still no sign of awareness for this issue.
So up with this and keep hoping some official see this and take care of (hope dies last…)

bump still broken, still not on the known issues tracker (which got his last update a week ago…).
C’mon, this is a multiplayer game and this issue makes playing with others so kittening inconvinient

Since an ingame friend only had the Aetherpath missing for his Dungeon Master title, I decided to help him out on that last night.
Run went surprisingly well, we reached the last room, destroyed the generators, the cutscene played, the clockheart went hostile, we started fighting, clockheart started building shield stacks… and there wasn’t a single hologram for the entire fight. Ofc this ended up in a party wipe, luckily on our second approach the holos spawned as they should and we could finish the path. Still somewhat anoying.

[…]You can do it, but you should not. At least not with pugs. If you have a group and they are ok with it: no Problem.
But if a pug group chooses they dont want to have a low Level to ‘carry’, dont blame them.
That’s the only relevant answer. Sub 80 chars are less powerfull than lvl 80 characters. Period. If you play with randoms they simply can not know wether your individual skill will make up for it or not. So don’t be surprised if they kick you on sight. If you want to level your toons by doing fractals, find some friends or a guild that doesn’t mind and you’re set. Blaming PUGs won’t solve your problem nor change facts.

Looks like I’m a bit late to the party, so I try to keep it short.
- great decision to stop working on more HoT legendaries to have some more resources for more important stuff; the way the exisiting ones aswell as the precursor hunt for the old ones were implemented was so not apealing (legendary journey my kitten, run dumbed down collections and spend absurd amounts of materials just to get the precursor? no thx)
- not sure if shifting those ressources towards LS 3 is a smart move; existing content has such a huge need for improvements (e. g. the WvW mess, no raid lfg, the HoT map issues, tons of known bugs, etc. etc.) I think focusing the next 6 months strictly on that should have top priority
- though I doubt I can convience you to do what I wrote on my second bullet, I want to express my hopes for LS3 being more like LS2 (log in to unlock the chapters but play them when you want) instead of LS1 (stupid time gated open world zerg fests)

I have 362.00 on one computer and 359.06 on other and at least both of those drivers works without problems.
That’s good to hear, unfortunatly you don’t say what graphic cards you have in use. Do you talk about desktop cards or laptop cards (aka m series)?
Leader of “Servants of Balance” [SoB], a small guild endemic to the FSP.
No new issue, seems to be a regular problem with the mobile series. E. g., when the Battlefront Beta was released, I updated my drivers (else you couldn’t even start the Beta). Battlefront ran quite well, but I couldn’t play GW2 anymore. So I’m still running the 331.82 drivers on my GTX660m since newer ones don’t seem to be compatible with GW2.
Others had similar problems aswell back then: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Issues-with-latest-GeForce-drivers-358-50/first#post5611813
Not sure though wether a fix for this is even possible on A.Nets side or if it’s something nVidia should take care of.

The most recent clean-up is now complete!
Still tons of invalid (lower than merchant value) buy orders for T5 mats and minor sigils on the tp, so I hope this won’t be the last clean-up

I also can confirm that the divine fire will now interact with the mysterious wall.
It took some time but it is fixed.
Fun fact: no word about it in the patch notes, nor on the “known issues tracker”, unless it’s hidden in “Fixed a bug that blocked progression on some story steps.”, though to me that points out to the regular personal story, not the living story.
So I guess they fixed it “accidently”. Wouldn’t coun’t on it remaining stable beyond the next patch, so better get your story steps and achievments while you can Good luck everyone!

Nah the text is normal, i waited 5 min at alphard for people to join while pinging them the way point but they did not joined. We did the path exactly as its intended.
I know dungeons were abandoned but still fixing reset bugs would be appreciate especially since it’s the only PvE content where you can use your brain.
Oh well, guess I should go and re-learn some french then
I’m all with you on this issue, though I don’t believe they will look at this bug as long as it won’t be part of a precursor collection…
