:( so it could be a while not happy

It could be, but I think it will be in one of the next bigger updates – […]

Since it’s neither HoT nor precursor collection related I expect this issue to be even below bottom tier priority and thus I strongly don’t think there will be a fix anytime soon, unfortunatly.
Known issue tracker gives no sign of hope aswell since its last update was on march 15th …

New Alphard reset bug

Well, my french is not that good so I’m not entirely sure about it, but it looks like you’re engaging alphard before the path wants you to do (the text looks like you should be in between the abomination and lupi), also you’re whole party is scattered around the map.
This might have something to do with it.
Why do I write this? Since dungeons got officially abandoned I doubt there will be done anything about it, but playing the path the way it’s ment to be might prevent alphard from bugging.
Just did p2 yesterday and we had no issues with alphard at all.

Heh, had one of those lolwut incidents just yesterday. Did a lvl 73 fotm with my guardian, norn male. After we cleared the last chamber of the tunnel i started running to the end of it. Since I didnt pay attention for a moment, I got hit by the rocks falling from the ceiling and my toon fell on its nose, belly down. So far nothing special.
So where’s the lolz in it? Well, the moment he got knocked down, the mistlock instability started to kick in and applied fear to him and he slided down the whole tunnel while lying on his belly, as if some giant decided to use him as a bowling ball. Gave us a good laugh

First of all- try to get rid of that Zyxel crap. Owned one myself once a couple years ago and would never-ever get one again.
About your problem: I think we had similar issues with online gaming back in those days, not sure wether it was GW1 or something else. What solved it for us, was to change from static IP to dynamic IP (or vice versa, don’t remember exactly). So you might want to start some try-and-error with the way you router distributes your LAN IP adresses.
Good luck!

For inspiration, here’s what I did.
For the first ball, I was lucky enough the get an ascended box out of fotm daily, not sure wether it was an armor or weapon box but it was something I did not need badly so I just picked a missing skin and salvaged it. First ball done.
For the second ball, I craftet some medium ascended gloves, since I ranger/thief/engi are the classes I don’t play that much anyway and I also missed that skin. Salvaged it, second ball done.

Now I’m saving matrixes to finish the third tier backpiece (needs 375 d’oh…)

Is combat just dead in the water?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Nash.2681

Nash.2681

The main problem with underwater combat is that it would require a vastly different positional system. For those that dont know what I mean, compare how you move around on land to how you move around on flight-type games (like Ace Combat for example). GW2 you have full movement in 2 axis while extremely limited in the 3rd. Meanwhile, other games in the category I mentioned have complete movement in all three. GW2’s movement for characters is horizontal, not relative to your viewpoint, while character orientation is mainly vertical (just as hobotron insists on). Other games have your movement, as well as orientation, relative to your viewpoint.

I actually heard that argument quite a lot concerning GW2 underwater combat, though I never really understood it. I admit, I played a lot of flight sims in the past so I guess I’m a bit more used to keep orientation in a full 3D environment no matter of the viewpoint, but after all it’s just a matter of practicing.
What really needs to get fixed, is the horrible hit boxes, esp. of larger enemies. Having a big mean hard hitting shark being displayed to the left while his hitbox (and thus the source of danger) is to the right can be quite deadly.

Ok, you guys convinced me to zerk armor with scholar runes.
Thanks for the detailed explanation, Nash.

You’re very welcome.
Another thing to keep in mind when crafting asc. gear: if you ever feel the need to use another stat combination, you can easily change your gear by using the mystic forge. The recipes are quite cheap, only inconvenience is that you lose the equiped runes/sigils by doing so.
So you might want to consider to craft your asc. stuff, equip cheap runes (e. g. centaur or sth.), do some test runs and if you feel comfortable with it, add the more expensive upgrades and watch your efficiency rise. If you don’t- change the stats and try again.

Berserker-Scholar is as all-purpose as it gets. You can balance stats with weapons and trinkets.

Pretty much this, my vote goes to berserker armor with scholar runes aswell.

Reasons are:
- due to scaling issues the exo-asc gap is greater for power based gear than it is for condi gear
- as a necromancer you already have excellent sustain, so there’s really no need to get any “tankier” gear wise, especially when you use minions.
- I’d go scholar over ranger runes for several reasons: ranger runes give precision, something you won’t need so badly. 50% crit chance is our sweet spot since we can boost it to 100% easily by using “Decimate Defenses” for overall usage or “Death Perception” for “Shroud only” usage. If you can rely on getting permanent fury, you could go even lower. And on a side note- I wouldn’t be surprised if the 7% bonus won’t work for minions anymore after some patching in the future, simply because of A.Net logic
- for the “above 90%” issue- I was sceptic at first aswell, but now after paying some attention, I’d estimate I’m able to maintain it for about 70% of the time fighting. You’ll maw through trash faster than they can drop you below the threshold and for tougher enemies, necros sustain (and since you’re running a MM build your minions aswell) help a lot with keeping your health high.
- if you’re not convinced yet- the Pack Runes you mentioned in your starting post are a perfectly fine alternative (if you don’t mind changing traits on the fly, you could even consider using a warhorn; locust swarm + pack runes + Banshee’s Wail = perma Swiftness; just switch Banshee’s Wail out before engaging for something more usefull for the fight)
- I would NOT use Marauder stats as a necro, since you sacrifice power and ferocity for precision (which is not needed that much, see above) and vitality (on top of our already very high health pool). Totally not worth it imo.

And as Anchoku.8142 already said- if you really feel you need some more defense, change trinkets.

Want the old maps back?[186 Signs]

I strongly support your cause.

Reason for me wanting the old alpine BLs back are:

- much more visually appealing (yeah, 100% personal taste but still…)
- smaller, thus feeling more intense
- smaller, thus having more actual fighting and less wandering around for hours without a single enemy in sight
- less gimmicky, more focused on actual WvW play

There are even more reasons, but I realized that those affect WvW in general (like auto-upgrades ’n stuff), so no reason to show them up in this thread (again).

[…]

You only need to salvage one piece of ascended armor or one ascended weapon to get enough dark energy to complete the first collection. Every collection after that can be completed by salvaging the backpack you craft and using the dark energy obtained.

Other than that, I’m not against gating skins by skill level. That would actually be something I hope they start doing more of and specfically in regards to individual player skill.

Just a slight correction to not spread missinformation about the Ad Infinitum thingy- you actually need 2 balls to start off, one for the collection itself to trade in at the aetherblade guy and another to build the first backpiece itself
Since we seem to agree on the other stuff, no need to argue here

You can’t post on any forum anywhere without condesceding and mean spirited answers from people that half read your post and love to show you up.

I think Mesmer has a skill that will rez downed players, but nobody has this skill active since it isn’t very useful- most of the time.

Yepp, that would be another example. It’s called “Illusion of life”, working somewhat like the warrior down skill 3. Mesmers also have a trait that creates a Feedback Bubble on rezzing. As I said in my previous post- there are many possibilities, but one should always ask himself if it’s worth to chose them

Every account has the exact same chance on RNG.

Granted and accepted. But this doesn’t explain why you guys still stick to this kitten concept. I remember this very thread where we were called to discuss about rng as a concept, still everything is tied to RNG. Even more so when it’s possible to get some of the most valuable items (precursors) for the least challenging content (killing trash mobs in open world).
An no, I do not consider precursor crafting as a relief here. A mindless grindfest that simply doubles the cost for a legendary is no compensation for those cursed by rngsus.

You would either have RNG or a method that would be a grind. If items were any easier then everyone would have items sooner and there would be nothing for them to work towards. Imagine if you were able to obtain every skin in the game through casual play within a year and every skin released after that with not so much effort.

This is an MMO, and like other MMO’s, there’s RNG and grind. Fortunately, in GW2, this grind isn’t required as it’s just for cosmetic items only as no content is locked behind a grind except for high level fractals. Even then, you’re not experiencing anything different than you did for the previous levels.

Well, you got some points, but the thing is- at one the only thing GW2 offers is just cosmetics since the overall content quantity is quite limited and for almost everyone further cut down by personal preferences (e. g. some don’t like to PvP, others won’t do world completion/story on every character, etc.).
I’m all for having to put some effort in obtaining desired/rare skins, but to me, the effort should be skill based. Unfortunatly, the current situation is almost exactly what you describe- every skin in the game can be obtained through casual play, even legendaries since the hardest part to get (precursor) can be obtained by everyone, either by luck (killing yellow creatures, 4 rares in the mystic toilett) or numbing grind (precursor collection).
Even the Ad Infinitum backpiece ain’t that hard to obtain as long as you’re either lucky (asc. drops to salvage for balls) or grind (to craft asc. gear to salvage for balls).

Only somewhat exception of this rule might become the legendary armor since it’s tied to raids.

Silmar Alech nailed it down (which was also part of the before mentioned rng discussion thread):

[…] Players want a manipulated rng. A rng that smooths out too many losses and too many successes, so in the end everyone gets the same share of success within his play time. […]

A slight variation of this, coupled with the requirement of actual player skill for the more rare/desireable skins, would be a better distribution system then the current one imo.

Well, a little more information in your starting post might have saved you from the “walk next and press F” answers.
Anyway, there is indeed more one can do to downed people aside from helping to kill their target or simply press F, but it strongly depends on class/specialization/utility skills.
Examples: ranger with “Search and rescue!” can port out downed people to their position and have their pet rez them. Necros with blood magic and the right GM trait can do almost the same by using Shroud skill 4. Warriors can use the elite banner to get downed people up. If the downed one is in danger by projectiles, one can place some reflect/absorb skills on his position. Just examples, there’s many more.
Since engineer is my least played class, I’m not really familiar with them having access to such gimmicks or not. My general rule of thumb is- if you can equip such tools without using efficiency or crucial skills- do it. If not- just don’t and try to help by killing the target.

Dude, rng is everywhere in all MMOs. In fact, grind and MMOs almost always go together hand in hand. Why don’t you propose an alternative system of reward. How about all character have a job in game so we can accumulate credit to pay for our items. Meanwhile, why don’t you also propose an alternative system for the economy so I don’t have to be stuck in a job

Did I just hit a nerve or something?
There have been dozens or hundreds suggestions in the thread I mentioned, no need to repeat them over and over again. I would link it to you if the search engine of this forum would work properly.
RNG to a certain extend is fine and spices things up, but the way it’s implented in GW2 is just poor and lazy design. Same goes for grind, it’s ok and almost neccesary to a certain extend to keep people on board and playing, as long as it’s wrapped in interessting and somewhat challenging content.

Just a flesh wound.3589 pretty much nailed it.
GW1 was epic for its time, I played it for almost 7 years straight without breaks longer than 1-2 weeks.
I so enjoyed building my own teams (heroes ftw), tweaking them further and further and then watch us mastering almost every challenge possible.
It was almost like composing a piece of music first and then play it on the piano.
It was great, it was fun and I still miss some aspects of it (being able to create equaly effective builds outside of the so called meta was incredibly satisfying).

But as Just a flesh wound.3589 said- the combat now feels so incredibly clunky, I only log in every now and then to check my birthday presents

Just did some maths. Assuming Ascended stuff ist 100%, white gear offers roughly 57-58% of the stats and damage.
Now that there are groups that 5 man raids (at least I’ve seen this for Vale), I wouldn’t be surprised if they can beat it with 10 man in whites aswell (assuming they use proper runes, sigils, buff food and ascended trinkets).

Would be fun to watch!

Not familiar with the MSI laptops since I strongly favor Laptops based on Clevo Barbones and thus being highly customizable, but the one you’ve chosen should do the job on high’ish settings, even if the resolution is full HD (which I assume it is).
For comparison: I run GW2 on a 3,5 year old laptop with a GTX660m and 3rd gen i7 on mostly high settings just fine (though mine uses a HD+ display, but since your hardware has more power overall, that should close the gap), though you will notice the usual fps drops in WvW zergs and at world bosses.

Just bear in mind that this laptop is somewhat an “end-of-range” model, if you plan to play other games aswell that might be more hardware demanding, you might wanna rethink your decision.

About your cooling question: as long as you keep the air vent free and clean your fans regularly, you shouldnt need a cooling pad.
For mouse, just go with whatever fits your hand and you would use with a desktop pc aswell.

A Gentle Reminder to Anet

Posted by: Nash.2681

Nash.2681

I have a total of 6 trait lines, each with 9 selectable options, for a total of 54 difficult things to remember. I want them to fix other things first, honestly.

…and I have a toon of each available class, so it’s 54*9 = 486 difficult things to remember.
And there are others with even more toons.
I agree, fixing bugs should have top priority for A.Net, but looking at GW2’s history and the kittenload of bugs that are still ingame since release, I gave up hoping for this.

So yes, I strongly support this reminder, a pure trait saving tool would be a huge QoL improvement. I’m fine with manually changing my armor set (99% it’s the decision of selecting the full zerk or full condi set anyway; oh, and sometimes a special WvW set, but that’s it), but being able to save trait templates would be golden.

It’s up to A.Net now wether they stick to their word and make fractals the new fun/rewarding/enjoyable/etc. instanced content for partys of 5, or make fractals go down to the same dark place where they’ve already sent dungeons to rest in piece.

6000$ in 41 months of GW2 makes roughly 150$ each month for a freaking video game. Why would one pay that much money for a game that’s hardly playable in his region anyway?

Didn’t try tank reaper in raids yet, but if I would, I’d probably go with something like this:

Things to keep in mind:
- make sure that no one has more toughness than you (just in case, you never know…)
- if there was a stat combo with POWER-toughness-ferocity, it might be worth taking over valk
- 30% crit chance is enough, since vuln should be capped all the time anyway, decimate defense increases it to 80%, + 20% fury = 100%
- blood line helps you to stay alive
- sorted all the might stuff out, there should be others in your raid taking care of it
- you won’t hit like a wet noodle thus contributing even more to the raid
- if you die, it’s always the healer’s fault (just kidding )

I would advice for scholar runes for pve, seeing as revenants provide an 50% boon duration, rune of strength will be a waste of dps compared to scholar runes.

Plus they are 1/3rd of the cost right now.

I’m sure your advice is good-willed, but no thx.
a) I already got the Strength runes, so buying/crafting the (relativly cheap) Scholar Runes would still be an extra expense
b) When playing with friends there’s rarely a revenant around
c) When pugging, I don’t really trust in others doing what one might expect to do, so I rather take care of things myself
d) though I rarely go down, I’m not confident in staying above 90% long enough for the 10% bonus to shine over the flat 5% of Strenght

Thanks again folks, I slept over it and I think I made my decision. I’ll go get another zerk set for PvE and equip the Strength Runes on it, while keeping my zerk armor with the Pack Runes for WvW.
Cygnus summed it up pretty well:

However, Pack is a very good alternative IMO. If you are looking for Fury uptime, general higher crit chance or a way to boost swiftness uptime, Pack has it all. One of the best runes for flat stat boosts, and you get close to 50% uptime on Fury and Swiftness from the rune alone (in battle).

A disadvantage Strength has vs Pack is that Strength is kind of a one trick pony; you have to play a build that’s might oriented, or a lot of the rune is wasted. Warrior does have a lot of might gain, but if you forgo these in favor of other choices, Strength may become less optimal for roaming.

Thanks again!

Determine if you will be playing the DPS role or the Might-Support role in PvE more often. If you will be supporting, put Strength on another set and keep pack as your WvW set. Don’t overwrite a set with good runes that aren’t cheap. A complete set of exo’s costs like 6 gold in WvW with badges (which are otherwise useless).
If you will be the (condi) DPS, get Viper/Sinister and save your runes.

As a sidenote, Strength is a very good rune for WvW.

Thanks for your answer! You made a fair point, I think I really should think about my role in PvE.

Concerning Strenght rune for WvW- could you elaborate a bit more plz?

You answered your own question already.

It’s more the idea of abandoning dungeons as a concept totally I find bizzare. I literally cannot think of another single MMo that did this.

May be you took me wrong, may be I expressed myself wrong, but I’m totally with you. Dropping dungeons as a concept was just a poor and lazy way to handle the described situation.
If it would be too costly to revamp the existing dungeons, they could just have been honest and admit “ok, our dungeons didn’t provide the challenge/experience we intended” and further “so we decided to lower the rewards for the existing ones and to deploy a new dungeon team, working on new dungeons with all the gathered information of 3 years of GW2 in mind.”
Instead they took the lazy way.

Hey fellow warriors, I need some advice concerning my armor.
Right now my charrior has a set of exotic berserker armor with mostly ascended trinkets.
My charrior is not my main and I only play him from time to time ( I’d estimate 20% of my overall playtime). And when I do, I also sometimes take him to WvW, so I put Runes of the Pack on my armor.
Before they “nerfed” PS those runes worked pretty well for both, being the might-kitten in dungeons/fractals and roaming in WvW.
Back then when they lowered the effectivness of PS, I started collecting Strength Runes since running PS with Pack runes didn’t work as good as before anymore and now finally got my 7th, so I could swap runes now but… I’m a bit stingy and now I’m thinking about the following options:
- overwrite current runes of the pack with strenght runes, knowing my heart would bleed for virtually throwing 7 pack runes in the trash can
- keep the current set for wvw and get another berserker set for PvE and add the strength runes
- save the strength runes for later/an other character, use the current set for WvW and get a sinister/viper set for PvE

Suggestion: Make aegis stack

in Guardian

Posted by: Nash.2681

Nash.2681

Core problem: different game modes, different needs.
Though I totally see the usefullness of a stacking/absorbing kind of Aegis in PvP/WvW, I also see the power of the current “negate that one super-heavy-instakill-hit on demand” Aegis in PvE. So best would be to split this skill in a PvE and a PvP/WvW version. But as Daniele Rebecchi.1746 already said- that probably won’t happen.
So I think Askadia.4395 is on the right track. First, drastically lower the recharge of F3, second give it somekind of usefull extra passive or somekind of extra effect on activation.
Maybe something like:
- (Passive) Grants aegis every 30 seconds and +25% movement speed/ cleansed 2 conditions every 10-15 seconds (Active) just like it is now
- (Passive) Grants aegis every 30 seconds (Active) Grants aegis to you and allies in range and anyone affected gets cleansed 3 conditions/ gets 3sec superspeed/ gets healed for XY
Just some ideas, ofc some trait adjustments would have to follow accordingly.

Yes Infused ring had higher yield, i got 20 Stabilizing Matrixes from it if im lucky.

So have I and many others from normal ascended rings already. Only thing I would take for granted right now is, that 20 is the max. amount of matrixes than can be salvaged from rings. Wether salvaging infused rings yields higher chances in that range or even increases to max. amount of matrixes possible, is not known right now. Would take some def response (extremly unlikely) or a lot of field research to get some valid data.

Shared Inventory Slot Feedback [merged]

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Nash.2681

Nash.2681

Some people already complained (myself included) that 400 gems for a single extra inventory bag slot is too expensive as long as it only affects a single character and thus is so not reasonable (800gems/slot and therefor accountwide would have been far more reasonable).
And now 700 gems for a single account wide inventory slot, of which you can only make somewhat good use after spending more than 3000 gold for an unlimited bank access (unless you have incredible RNG luck and get one out of a BLC) is just the last drop in the “let’s show our customers that they’re nothing but cashcows to us” barrel.

If at least it was something like “800 gems = 10 shared inventory slots”, so people could easily share copper-fed-o-matic, unlimited gathering tools, buff food and other convenience stuff easily around, they’d prbly sell a) many more of them and b) many people would probably spend extra gems on said tools leading to c) more profit for arena.net + happier players. But since that would somehow make sense we’ll never gonna see it happen I guess.

It’s overpriced if you only consider it an inventory slot, but that’s not how you should see it. The account inventory slot would be more accurately described as an asset multiplier.

Say you have ten characters and one copper-fed salvage-o-matic, for 700 gems you just turned that 800 gem salvage kit into 8,000 gems worth of salvage kits. A 4,000 gold permanent bank contract turns into 40,000 gold worth of bank contracts. That’s cheap for the function it performs.

No offense, but that pretty much sounds like taken from an A.Net marketing handbook word by word.
What one can compare is what 700gems is translated in €/$ and what else you get for that much gems.
700 gems is 8,75 €., which is about 20% of the game price. It’s also roughly what one has to pay for an extra character slot or an extra bank tab (+/- 100 gems), special sale prices aside.
Next thing one can look at is what kind of items can be placed in it, that offer a real QoL improvement. Here one can take all those accountbound things that have a purpose for multiple characters into consideration. E. g. all kind of boosters, buff food, gathering tools, etc.
So what did the average player who decided to indulge into a set of endless gathering tools or a stack of expensive buff food do until now? Put them in his bank and extract/withdraw them for every played character over and over again.
So unless one has an perm bank contract, 1 shared slot does pretty much nothing, even the gathering tools and buff food would eat up all 5 possible slots, so it’s just a partial QoL improvement for those without a perm bank access for an overall 2800 gems or 35 €/$.

I estimate the amount of players that your example would aply to, those who could afford multiple salvage-o-matics, multiple perm bank contracts or endless gathering tools for multiple characters being rather low, since you either need a kittenload of gold (which realisticly is only achievable for the flippers and the very few with incredible RNG luck) or an amount of €/$, which is in no relation for some cosmetic/QoL stuff compared to the overall price of a b2p game.

tl;dr: the new slots are only a real QoL improvement for those having a perm-bank-access already, for anyone else the price/benefit ratio is totally out of place and the overall usefullness is also quite limited.

It should not have been more than 4 months, should have been 3 months, or once per quarter. Unfortunately, anet is very slow with producing gaming content, so its not surprising.

I really hope they have more gameplay content sooner than 6 month time gaps.

It will not be good if that is their development time frame

I know right mate. They should be doing like Trion. Release 4 major updates within an year, a raid wing that had 9 bosses, 8 of which were unplayable because of pushed unfinished content, which made half the playerbase quit including the top raiding guild. I’m sure as hell disappointed that Anet takes their time instead of pushing bugged crap down our throats. Freakin money grabbers man

That’s pretty much exactly what Anet does as well.

^This. Releasing unfinished/bugged content and use paying customers as alpha/beta testers is pretty much what A.Net does since GW2 release.

Already replied yesterday but my answer got eaten by the forum it seems.

To summarize my reply:

- I’m pretty much in the same situation, usually doing guildmissions just with my wife
- since PvP and WvW missions require 3+ players, switch your guild mission panel to PvE-only
- easy bounty is totally doable as a duo, sometimes even a medium one. make sure to ask in map chat wether someone has seen your target lately. Even though there are some jerks every now and then pinging random waypoints, most of the time people are really helpfull and often even help with the kill
- treks are also very doable. if you have some experience with them, you can even pull of a hard guild trek (30 targets in 17 minutes), as long as you don’t have bad luck and get targets at the end of long and time consuming jumping puzzles and know where some of the more tricky (fast to reach but hard to detect) targets are

Goodbye all!

Can I have your stuff?

What would you like? Say fast – I’m getting banned soon

Drama Queen! ¬.¬
Unless you’ve spoiled Star Wars, in which case Yea probably.

Not really Drama Queen, I actually did a thing very very offensive, against the rules, which is worth of perm ban. And I acted my own way, so I’m fine with that. I’ll not be anyone’s puppet, there is noone who gets special treatment, in my eyes – all are equal, cuz we all are humans.

But yea, you got that thing right, I didn’t spoil Star Wars – so maybe I don’t get perm banned. haha, funny right?

Honestly, you’re really overreacting as this isn’t something worth getting yourself banned over. Gaile is simply saying you can report abusive behavior, and ruining other people’s fun is abusive.

The bold part is pretty questionable. Following that logic, each and everyone would be on the brink to a ban. Don’t like someone skipping in dungeons? It’s not fun to you? Report them, so they get banned. Don’t like someone not skipping in dungeons? It’s not fun to you? Report them, so they get banned. Someone choses an armor style you don’t like to see? It’s not fun to you? Report them, so they get banned. And so on.

See, reporting people for actually trying to scam, for insulting others etc. is one thing, to demand a ban for spoiling a movie makes one sound like one of those grumpy elder people sitting at their window all day long, waiting for someone passing by showing just the tiniest glimps of missbehaving so they can call the cops.

P.S.: I’m a huge Star Wars Fan myself, I already submited free days at work in january and got my midnight premiere tickets as soon as pre-sales opened. Being aware of the possibility of spoilers by monday dec. 14th. (date of world premiere) I just added a lil more cautioness while browsing the web and consuming other media and guess what? Swamps of the Mists

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Nash.2681

Pretty much agree with OP. While rewards should be better, the system needs an overall change. There’s no point in increasing rewards when they still can be earned by doing swamp, molten duo and a third easy and quick level.

Many good suggestions were given, many warnings were spoken before they rolled out the new systems. Yet, A.Net didn’t listen.
What Zach.2618 wrote would be one way to change things for the better.
Another thing I could think of would be mixing the old with the new system, like
- select the difficulty stage you want to play in
- chose the first level you wanna play
- get a dialogue after finishing the level offering a choice of 2 or 3 random levels ppl can vote for, like chosing explorable paths in old dungeons (RIP)
- repeat until you have 3 different levels done to get your daily reward for that difficulty stage

This could also be combined with Zach.2618’s idea, like, each level has a particular value and the levels you can chose from depend on the amount of missing value until you got your daily done, to make the system less luck dependant but predictable to a certain extent.
For example: daily needs a value of 10 points. People decide to start of with swamp, which gives 1 point, so the next two votes whould let the party chose from levels with a higher value, so they can reach 10 points.
On the other side, a team that starts of with cliffside might get 6 or 7 value points, thus being able to chose from easier/faster levels for round 2 and 3.
Hope you get the idea.
