I do not like it.
It feels very restricting just as does the new boss rotation thing.

Bad move.

And today I had no problems in the morning (so I did not use VPN).. that’s weird.
What’s going on there?

The question now is: How does that fit together? What happened since the last update that it seems I have to use a VPN to just get into the game?
I am not talking about the lags or dcs anymore. I am really confused why the connection to the game is such a problem.

So.. today I had several crashes.. massive lags, etc.. and right now I can log in into the character selection screen, but it does not load any map.. what’s up?
It’s just loading and loading and loading, but it doesn’t let me in.. it just kicks me out again (sometimes it automatically restarts the game, sometimes it kicks me back into the character selection).

Not amused.

For me it looks like a make-up, just a painting around the eye. Like a tribal painting or whatever.

I like it. So I bought it.
It’s a little bit overpriced in my opinion. And maybe I would have bought some more if the gems would have been around 200/ 250 each.
However, that way only one of 8 characters will enjoy this mask.

Melandru and Dwayna are buggy on Drakkar-Lake as well. And since yesterday Balthazar, too.

As a female I really like the chest piece.
It’s well designed and looks great.

I experienced the same thing.
I tried to restart the game to see if that would fix the issue, but then I couldn’t log in for about 15 minutes. (After that I could log in and the chat just worked fine again.)
Others described log in problems at this time as well.

But more than that my party screen broke, my guild screen broke and my friends list is broken as of now. Meaning that the guild screen shows me as the only member, party screen doesnt show anyone, invites come from unknown characters and friends list shows everyone offline.

As you can see in my pictures above it’s not only that she looks like she’s wearing a helmet, there is also an illuminated area that seems radiating from the neck. This has to be a bug!? O.o

She’s not only wearing a helmet instead of the very promising nice hair style from the preview, she also has red/black hair on the outside (that’s the colour her hair shall have everywhere!), but with shaders on high she has greyish hair from the inside. It seems her hair is illuminated from the neck area. -> Picture 2

I am still not convinced if the entire hair style is buggy (because it also has no movement and looks like someone put too much hairspray on it -.- -> helmet) or if that is intented to look that way.. if yes O.o

My preview showed me something very different. The character selection looks pretty similar to the preview. -> Picture 1 (Here you can also see the illumination )

Is it safe to use a hair styling kit on a sylvari right now? Will she keep her glow?

To really develop an ascended feeling they – for example – could let us choose between a few versions.. three for light, three for medium, three for heavy. And let us mix and match..

That’s sounds pretty unprofessional. They want to get their product to the customer and keep the customer staying and paying. Which company can allow itself not to focus on the convenience of the customer? (We all know in our society that the customer is king.^^)

Even the launcher would be perfect for that. Just include a small “announcement section” and/ or a “Bug of the day!” to let us know what we have to be aware of!
But there only exists the good and promotional news, mainly about new ingame items in the gem shop or about the upcoming living story.. etc..
I don’t think they want to put there a “negative tone”.. and nerfs or bugs don’t sound advertising and attractive..
They never will do anything like that.. so people get screwed and screwed.. like the ongoing desaster with ascended rings.. they could inform people, they just don’t do it.

Would be quite nice to go ingame and there would be a stream or news ticker that would just inform you what’s going on. Bad and good news. ;-)

Just think about it.. right now Wvw has been diabled.. but ingame nobody tells us about it.. there could be just a notification telling us what’s going on.. but.. however.. that would just be too convenient and maybe people would stay more ingame than visiting the forums, huh?

Why not make hair work like the gem store PvP finishers? Buy it once for your account so change your hair everyday. If the player wants to do so. This would promote the idea of collecting hair styles.

It works with Finishers, Mini’s, and Dyes. So Why not hair? Just make new hair only buyable through the gem store. For a one time account wide purchase.

Doesn’t this happen a lot to enemies/ creatures that were once ghosts?

Unfortunately I never read someone complaining that the ranger spirits changed from a ghostly appearance to look all the same and “normal”. (I am not sure if that was intentional or if it ever has been that way.. I remembered my spirits to be unique and ghostly.. but who knows.. ^^)

And then they had this bug where oak hearts changed their appearance.. maybe that was connected to it? (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/What-happened-to-Oakhearts/first#post2289002)

The change of ghostly to not-so-ghostly appeared after they fixed that issue..

I am so unhappy that I can’t link items or waypoints to my friends in whisper chat.

I like that you added new hair styles. Some of them are really nice.

And here comes the BUT… why can’t we just unlock them account-wide?

Like: 3 new hairstyles for xyz gems! Then they are unlocked for the entire account and can be used as much as we want to.

Well, this would work the best, if you change the “styling options” a bit.

1. We create a character and if it is our first character we only will have the standard options.

2. Then we have the option to unlock new colours and styles and whatever (eg. tattoos, horns, etc.) account-wide by buying them directly from the gem shop. They will be instantly added to the character creation styling menu. (And here it comes, if you let us buy them directly and they will stay forever, they can cost some gems.. that’s for sure.)

3. When creating a new character we now have these unlocked options included.

For our existing characters there could be two options to get a makeover:
a) we would still have to buy the makeover kits with gems (but much cheaper to fit the unlocking costs.. something like 50 gems per makeover?)

b) we can visit a stylist that grants us free access to the standard and unlocked stylings, but if we do not already have unlocked the new styles we only have the standard choices (this stylist could be there for free OR if you want to earn some cash we could also pay once to unlock him account-wide OR hire him for a small fee (gems or silver/ gold) for a certain period of time, etc..)

Don’t make greedy decisions, make the wise ones that keeps you players interested. ^^

People that have the permanent access to the makeover still have the advantage that they can use it whenever and where they want to. (And I am not sure, but does this styling kit update automatically with the new styles? That’s a huge advantage because they then don’t have to buy or unlock them. ^^)

Yeah, it’s really bugged. The claw lands at its first place, but immediately flies to the second place, then returns and lands at its first place, then flies to the second place.. like a loop.
You are not able to damage the ice shield.
And it has been working after they optimized the claw so we already have been able to finish this event (by damaging it with the bazooka/ our weapons), it is just not possible due to this occurring bug.

Same was observed on Drakkar-Lake. It’s a little bit annoying.

Hopefully they won’t come out and tell us it is not a bug, it’s a feature. ^^

If I have to guess I would say I noticed it the first time ~ 18th of September. That would be the day after the Quatl Update. ^^

EIDT: lol, I just re-read what I posted at the beginning of the thread and saw I already mentioned it started to occur after this particular patch. xD

That’s quite strange because my affected people (from my friends list) are all on my homeworld… to make it even stranger it does not affect all my friends. Just a few.
And it seems that not all my characters are having this problem. Some can link, some cannot.

What is happening?

The fire ele seems highly confused on Drakkar-Lake. It was bugged 2 days ago, but yesterday it was unbugged and then today it was buggy again.
As there was no announced patch/ update it is noticeable that the event seemed to be able to fix itself without a server reset. (However, there was one point in time on that day where all players on cursed shore had a dc.. who knows if that could have had an effect on the fire ele?)

But to top it all: Jormag’s claw has a new bug and this seems different to that one. The ice shield cannot be longer attacked and the claw flies up and to the second place and comes back and flies to the second place, comes back, etc..
After 30 minutes the claw has been finally put out of its misery..

It still bugs me (as described above) and it is so annoying.

Still cannot waypoint or link items in whisper chat. Some people told me online they have experienced the same.

Can anyone provide more information?
Did you also notice the thing with the event display (in the right upper corner) that changes but only pops up for a second and then goes away (instead of staying!) which leads to the point that the entire event resets and the boss does not spawn?

It is good to know if they did, so we all know what’s their current point of view of reimbursing this kind of stuff.

Drakkar-Lake[DE] suffers from the same happening..

It seems that it is an issue with the timer that is displayed in the upper right corner. It is there for nearly a second and then the event is over. (Which means the following event that would let the boss spawn does not occur.)

We had the same issue with claw of jormag which fixed itself (?) after an update.

Why try to beat Quatl when ingame life has more to offer? ^^
