@Flinxe, we lack SEA/OCX guilds, but we have plenty of pugs running around during that time to help us achieving things.

I disagree. If anything ACs should be buffed to defend structures diring outnumbered fights.

You know, both SBI and HoD ended up in the same place or better when the bandwagons were finished.

Here’s some honesty:
There will be no T5 wunderkind this time. DR has no off-hours and just limped past IoJ

T3 is well balanced and doesn’t want what you are selling; and Maguuma is fading.

The top 5 are the stable servers that will still be the top 5 in 3 months. No matter what happens to them, none of them are likely to disappear anytime soon.

You go to any other than those 5 in the top 12, then you are rolling the dice but God bless you all the same.

HAHA DR has no coverage? we’re playing DR right now, and they have a blob on 2 maps consistently throughout the day. Although they can never win a fight with or without siege and even outnumbering the opponents, they still have coverage similar to that of t2. They should move up a couple tiers for season

I’m in that match too and DR does seem to have decent coverage – for a T3 server. But it may just be their NA doing overtime on the weekend.

And their NA is no joke – they have a few good sized talented guilds. Been some good fights so far. And some darn tricky cata spots!

But they will still get destroyed by FA and SoS.

So best thing would be for Mag to stay in Gold and just be the whipping boy there. And let the 5 relatively even servers in T3/T4 battle it out for Silver – YB, DB, DR, SBI, CD.

I have a bad feeling that Mag will troll us and we will get pushed to Gold
We will get destroyed in T2 (FA is already getting hammered by SoS, which is full btw).

Currently on SoS, my bracket is currently the most inbalanced out of all the others and i want to switch to either Crystal Deser, Yak’s Bend, Dragonbrand. Which has the most Oceanic coverage? Friendliest Guilds? What kind of servers are they?

YB needs few more OCX players. We have plenty of people from Australia, who WvW frequently. Some of our NA players though are very dedicated and plays even during OCX/SEA timezone to defend structures and capping stuffs.

Making the assumption there are going to be Gold, Silver and Bronze leagues (I don’ t think they have announced that yet), Silver is completely up in the air. Mag could drop out of Gold given its current losses. Scary enough that might put CD into gold.

YB has historically had a massive PvE turnout and they have always managed to forge them into one of the best defensive servers in the game. Not sure if that is still true though.

Bronze may be BP or NS depending on how the movement hits.

Going to come down to the wire but without free transfers (not sure if they are doing that this time around), decent rewards for losing servers and a short season 3 we may not see massive server stacking like previous seasons.

YB with a large active population. Imagine the open field guilds being backed by all those arrow carts…we’re talking T1 contention.

This is what I have been talking about for better part of a year, the final nightmare that will snuff out WvW for all but casuals and siege users.

Idk what you’re talking about since YB has a large active population in WvW? Maybe if you count our PvE base, but definitely not WvW’ers. Its some NA players who sleeps very little and fight during OCX/SEA.
We hardly see queues on reset night (maybe for 10 mins), that’s it.

Especially not to DB and YB. We have a good group of 4 relatively equal servers now.

Plus without free transfers this time you’re spending more to transfer than the rewards are worth. Pretty dumb move to transfer.

Lol, I can assure you that during season it won’t be the same. You have no idea how large our PvE base is…..They love to show up during the seasons. I am sure other T3 servers also have a big PvE base, but I feel ours is bigger. On top of that, DK rallies TONS of players during the season constantly.

I recently transferred to YB with my little guild and we are happy with the great community that Yaks offers. I definitely noticed a positive change as far as map chat, communication, and commanders attitude after spending a few days in wvw. This is a great server with very little drama

Arrow carts are perfectly fine. If anything, it needs a buff in damage.
This is WvW, not PvP. Siege are meant to be used a LOT and especially when outnumbered.

they’re overpowered and can ruin a fun fight between clashing guilds. They’re also boring to use, I mean who enjoys pressing 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 over and over when instead you can test your PvP skills by actually joining the fight by running with your commander.

Its WvW, not PvP. You can test your skills in sPvP.
Siege were meant to be used in WvW and just because its boring to use doesn’t mean that Anet should remove it.

Additionally I think they should buff AC/Ballista dmg a bit. Its a siege after all.

I can’t speak for all my servermates, but I think what happened was that we focused the server which were more of threat to us. This is our first meeting since the season ended and naturally most Yaks considered HoD to be a much bigger threat than BP. But tbh, I had no idea that the bandwagoners betrayed ya’ll this early. I really feel sorry for your server (the original HoD’ers).

How is this a hate thing?? Our commanders (and players) sacrifices their sleep/health to stay awake at night and upgrade enemy structures. How is that against the rules or unfair? If you want it back, we won’t let it go without a fight, we will defend no matter what. Nowhere Anet said we aren’t allowed to build siege for defense.

And LOL at the ppl bashing us for building siege. If you have a problem ask Anet to remove siege totally from the game. If the game allows us to use AC/Ballista for defense, we will definitely use it. No need to Q_Q

Ele has the easiest permswift, Lightning Hammer’s skill 5 creates a static field, blast it with whatever blast finishers you have. You should be able to get at least 3 finishers off.

That gives 1 minute of swiftness every 30 seconds unbuffed. A fully compatible build can proc 2 minutes every 30 seconds, but it’s completely unnecessary given that 1min/30 seconds is already full uptime. However, permswift does not make a class fast at all.

Greatsword skills 5 and 3 with Warrior’s Sprint give much better mobility AND damage than camping a warhorn. The Warrior is the 2nd fastest class in the game because of these skills – which are far more significant than any kind of permaswift.

Which is the fastest class?

Warriors won’t be as strong as they used to be after 15th. 1 vs 1, warriors are well below PU mesmers, blind spam thieves and engineers. How mesmers (one of the most OP class) escape the nerf hammer everytime is beyond me…..Stealth spam, clone spam and what not. A glass mesmer is almost invincible in a 1vs1 scenario. Just ridiculous!!

But no, we tend to bring out the best in others and whatever we do it well within the rules. Even when we are outnumbered, we give our best with whatever number we’ve got.

I do. I regularly run the temple events in Orr to get the t6 mats. Occasionally I run champ train I’m FGS when there is nothing else to do for some extra money. The WP cost is already there and it usually gets cancelled (with a 2s profit on an average) by the raw silver from the champion loots, so I thought the first nerf in October last year was fair enough

The nerf on silver earned after succeeding an event is even a bigger joke. Lvl 80 events used to award 1s86c per successful event and nerf that too? Lol
