I don’t do SW often enough to be sure (I have auto loot so I can’t track what drops when so easily), though that does mean DR is not an issue. I do know that the last time I did a full round, defending forts, running south lane since as a Reaper I can handle the bee pulling rather well, I only had one Greater Nightmare Key even though I got gold both in Breach and VW. I mentioned it to my guildie but otherwise didn’t worry about it since I was only there to help her get bandit crests for her legendary progress.
Yeag, the VW chest is fine and isn’t bugged. Its the breach completion bouncing chest at the bottom right corner that contains a key of nightmare which goes missing sometimes.
A couple of people have mentioned this is a bug and I thought I remembered a dev saying they would take a look (can’t find the link though).
I’d recommend creating a support ticket, so that if it’s something unique to your computer or other circumstances, Customer Service can help you troubleshoot. In addition to that, if it happens again, use the in-game /bug reporting tool (so that ANet gets additional details about the map, time, date, etc).
Two other possibilities:
- Diminishing Returns, as suggested above. If you do the same event with the same toon repeatedly, you can get reduced rewards. I think this is unlikely, but it’s worth double checking.
- Pact Commander mastery — the autolooting happens before the final cutscene and you won’t see the list of items on the side of your screen (unless you are very quick to look). Freaked me out the first time it happened.

I am not talking about VW chest which spawns on the ground. Specifically, I mentioned breach end chest which doesn’t spawn on the ground to be auto looted.
The “breach end chest” to me is the ground chest which can be auto-looted.
The breach bonus chest, which appears as a bouncy in the lower right, can theoretically be affected by DR. The simplest example is at Rhendak: DR is common, since people park toons there and never leave the immediate area to do other events.

But it was never like this before 23rd and that is what I am reporting here for. AFAIK. DR affects mob drops and events karma/exp (and dungeons). And this occasional bug (not giving the reward) is happening on my very first SW breaches of the day even afte changing chars. Its definitely a bug. Like I said before I used to farm SW hardcore (>10 hours daily last year) and this never happened. A few others have also reported in map chat today.

Perhaps, you’ve encountered DR? Are you using different characters?
DR never affected the end chest which comprised of 5 champ bags + 3 bags of rare gear + key of nightmare before the patch and I was a hardcore SW farmer before. So, why now?
After yesterday’s patch, its still not giving out the end reward occasionally! Still isn’t fixed
/Edit: I’m still getting the bonus chest for individual champion but not the end bonus chest (for killing all 5 champions) sometimes.

The only change I’d like is the HP to be doubled. Currently, its too low. For something worth 150 points shouldn’t be soloable under 10 seconds…
Most (>95%) of the mes these days run condi builds + portals and moa. On a point, necromancer is the only class I find to be comfortable enough to beat them due to the insta transfer of the condis (8 stacks of confustion + torment + bleeding) and perma chill them to death unless he/she runs away. I play ele as well but the condi pressure is just too much from the mes on a point and if moa’ed in 1v1, its an instant death regardless of class.

courtyard was a spammy kittenfest even before the power creep of HoT.
if it was brought back, it’d be an even bigger kittenfest now.
Then that’s an issue with balance. Also, please elaborate on your point. PvP is unbalanced for a while, so how exactly will bringing back courtyard in unranked will interfere for those who enjoyed it?
There’s conquest and stronghold gamemodes but why not a deathmatch map? Just pure 5v5 match without the pressure of capping/holding points.
I am well aware that people complained about it but so did they about skyhammer/spirit orb map and yet they are in unranked whereas courtyard was removed completely even from custom arenas….
Please scrap DBL.
Reason: Its a kittening maze (even after knowing the path) and way too much verticality. One main reason why this map will never be preferable to alpine is simply because of scenery. Alpine was a beautiful map with snowy areas and grass field. Current DBL would be a great map for PvE if they ever plan on implementing it so but as a WvW map, it failed miserably IMO. Structures (especially keeps and towers) are unusually big, the northern towers holding no significance other than 10 PPT, traversing is a pain in the kitten and so on.
Ele meteor shower is the main culprit. Not only they do a very high amount of damage but covers the whole area + a bit further. Either allow the ranged AoE skills to NOT hit outside a certain radius over the wall or drastically increase walls’ width. I wouldn’t suggest reducing meteor shower radius simply because it’ll greatly affect PvE and eles who play as a backline in ZvZ fights.

This is more like a suggestion rather than PvP, so I decided to post here instead. Currently, we have no record/achievement in the PvP section stating how many divisions we crossed during any particular season and the badge also goes away when a new season starts. Personally, I’d like a completed achievement (awarding 0 AP) showing I’ve reached Emerald/Sapphire/Ruby/Diamond in Season X like its there in the WvW category where it shows your server’s standing in an achievement (which also doesn’t award any AP).
Thoughts?

Anyone else not getting the final reward (5 champion bags + 3 bags of gear) after breach is completed? It doesn’t always happen, only sometimes.
To clarify, I tag multiple champions and get gold medal for individual champs. Its happening since Tuesday’s patch.

Condichrono in PvP is so underpowered compared to WvW. If you are having trouble, go to WvW and find a good mesmer to duel. After that, will see how easy is to sustain and kill them in PvP with the proper tools, aka condition cleanse.

Shouts with soldier rune? Then you can’t take endure pain/zerker stance in this meta against power creeps and condi application far exceeds whatever a warrior can cleanse in a given point of time.
Cleansin Ire? Yeah, blind on shatter and go invisible and laugh at the warrior while he performs the burst attack lol.
Berserker stance? Stay invisible for 9 sec and then bomb him with 8 stacks each of confusion, torment, bleed, etc.You have the cleanse, if don’t use it, is your decision. Can’t cry about conditions when you use zero cleanse. Also, pvp is a team thing, condichrono is almost close to useless in a team fight, if you are putting yourself in a situation with 1v1 against a condi profession when you, yourself takes zero cleanse, well, that’s not a good idea.
However, my advise still stands. I have beat condichrono’s with warrior in WvW, have friends who had as well, and there isn’t something more broken than that regarding conditions. Go check it out then will see PvP isn’t as bad as people cry out to be and very much counter-able.
Did you even read what I wrote? Cleansing once doesn’t stop the condi applier from spamming it again (not to mention mesmers can burst condis from STEALTH). Condi cleanse are usually on high CDs whereas condi applications are not. Add to that, condi cleanse is very limited to certain classes (warrs for eg.)
Yes, I’d love too see a video of your warrior ripping apart a condi mesmer (provided the mesmer isn’t a first timer). Thanks!

Then where’s the balance? And it doesn’t negate the fact the condi application of certain classes far exceeds condi removal of certain classes and if those classes indeed go for full condi cleanse then he won’t have enough offense to kill the condi spammer anyway. Mesmers (even pre HoT) and reapers (currently) are most notorious for this.

Condi mesmers definitely needs a nerf. 8 stacks of confusion, torment and bleeding along with stuns in an instant is just lame. Infact all condi builds needs major shaving (includin reaper)
On the other hand, Moa is fine since it has a high CD and can be blocked but activation time should be increased. 1 sec is too low for such a powerful skill.

At this point it would seem that the way they made the skills work isn’t compatible with high pings and they aren’t going to bother changing it.
I don’t lag when I play normally at ~320 ms ping and I don’t usually lag while doing activities (I don’t play these when lagging anyway).
320 ping is pretty slow, and lightning pull seems to be very susceptible to lag. It works fine for me at 60 ping but over 150 all bets are off.
Yes, I do understand that its very high compared to what people in US gets but I suppose what I am trying to understand why I don’t lag in other areas but in this thing. Doesn’t bouncing mushrooms work in the same as this and they are always perfect even when I am lagging.
Bouncing mushrooms do lag, it’s just that they instead have a delay before launching you (which makes the fallen masks adventure particularly difficult on higher pings.) Lots of normal targeted leaps like vault also tend to travel a shorter distance if you have a high ping.

Apparently it’s been 966 days since the skill was first added, I’m not certain the 9 days since the OP will have had much of an effect in terms of the bug being fixed.
What I meant to say regarding bouncing mushrooms is that they don’t displace the player from the intended landing place even while lagging.
And yes, I am aware that this bug has existed since mid 2013 but I will keep trying to keep this thread in front page hoping one day it’ll get fixed. One can dream, right?

Like it was suggested in S1 just separate soloQ and teamQ like it was previously. 5 man premade will only face other 5 man premade. Surw, queue time will go up but atleast players won’t waste time going against premades who are using ccoms…I’d rather have a longer queue time and go into a match knowing I have 50% chance of winning than waiting for a short queue and facing a well organize premade team.
TBH its not good. Along with reaper, all other elite spec needs massive nerf (yes Berserker gunflame included) and buff the core specs by a bit so that everyone isn’t forced to play the elite specs. Scrappers and Herald/Rev is broken too much and support ele’s overload air base dmg should be nerfed but buff the dmg coefficient by a lot.

Warriors doesn’t lack DMG but lacks sustain and needs HUGE help in that department. Also the fact that their attacks are pretty slow, blind spamming (mes, thieves for eg.) is over-effective against warriors.
Not true, we have beaten a group of 5 necros with 2 tempests (one of them is me), a scrapper, druid and a necro in ruby yesterday (our team had soloQ’ers). Just because you see opponents have stacked necro (or any other professions except warriors) doesn’t automatically imply they’re all equally good. Most necros I’ve faced spam conditions/marks (including the #4 skill) right at the beginning and then chickens out after cleansing and focusing. A bit of focus and they will die BUT condi cleanse is must in this meta – If you don’t have them necros will eat you alive.
I encountered this guy “hatz” in my first ruby match and he was teleporting between far and mid throughout the match and spamming traps. I asked everyone in the match to report the guy for botting but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Although we won the match, the amount of frustration it caused was something to be seen lol.

Blocking a player doesn’t prevent the system to place you with/against him.

In 4 season you have to be ruby 4 times, or bye bye legendary backpack, it isn’t enough 2x diamond… you need in 2 season to be legendary both times, if you are very good…so it’s more than time gating, it’s skill gating to… when ppl will realize they will quit pvp ranked.
You have to cross divisions for a total of 1+2+3+4=10 times across 4 seasons. So 3+3 (2 rubies) + 2+2 (2 sapphires) is the minimum requirement.
Reaper was nerfed first weeks after HoT release, so shut up!
Deathly chill trait was BUFFED in the first week of November. Blighter’s boon received a well deserved nerf and deathly chill still need its damage shaved by another 20-30%.
Or just buy a new pre-pack when you can afford it. Free ascended back.

I still have unpleasant memories of being crushed under the YB hordes (when we weren’t farming them), but I’ve always respected how quickly they rebound from losing something. It’s hard for me to understand how one can lose a keep/tower then just log off or hop BLs.
log off or hop BLs? If we do that we lose our BL even quicker. Defense has always been a thing here and will always be.
And karma training isn’t possible without the help of a 2nd server capping constantly as well. Its like saying clapping with one hand only. So high PPT means capping AND holding stuff unless you’re including defense under karma training.

Legendary backpiece can be acquired in PvE (Fractals – it’ll be ingame eventually) and can be acquired in PvP (requires one or two more seasons for many). Now all we need is one to be acquires ONLY through WvW activities (can’t progress it in EoTM).
