The fact that you over-anylize things is only your problem, not ANETs
Don’t assume that what you perceive is the truth.
Don’t assume that just because you noticed less strong male characters that it was intentionally done by ANET instead of an oversight or just simply your own delusion.

Balance does not exist because its a perspective thing.

Lets say for example…

There are MORE woman in the world than men, meaning should there not be more woman represented in media than men?

How many black characters (npc) do you see in GW2? How many Asian?

How far do you REALLY want to take this supposed “balance”?

Maybe there are fewer manly men characters because they have all already died off in the GW2 universe thanks to the constant fighting? So the woman have stepped in?

I just would like to say, do not take my post personally, ALL my friends tend to do the exact same thing. Bad choice in friends, or good? Dono.
And thinking just a little further than the information you currently have, could broaden your mind a lot.
I need to prove their skepticism to be misplaced often, whether its in GW2 or any other game or anything really.

I was never a big fan of pacman, which is probably why I don’t even last to the end of the maze stage before getting sick of being one shot. I only need one more piece to open that chest for the very first time. I can get to any part of it, but with no safe place to pause and collect yourself, death is inevitable. Little too old school for me. Whether you find anything to open on a run is mostly down to luck too.

Actually the chests have predictable spawn patterns and spots.

For me, the risk of being oneshot adds a degree of excitement and risk. Especially when your engi somehow “superspeeds” and healing kit 5 manages to outrun the wolf until it latches on to another poor soul unlucky enough to come close to you while being chased.

I do not even see how it matter if DX11 is supported or not?

Hell this game is so CPU intense that who cares?

Not to mention that DX 500000.0 games could still look like crap.

Just like GW2 on DX9 still looks good! Better than MOST games.

While I think the stacking/AoE concept needs to be worked on, this would break the game completely.

ESPECIALLY in PvP, balancing would be completely thrown out and 2 years of nice progress in PvP balancing would go to waste.

Since nobody’s mentioned it in this thread yet – the Pale Tree grew from one of several seeds found in a mysterious cave, so we’re probably going to find out more about that, and the sealed cave is most likely the cave in question. I’m also hoping to find out more about Malyck’s tree, as the existence of another tree implies at least one other being found the cave of seeds, though that might not be in this chapter.

Wild theory that probably isn’t true: the Inquest found the cave and planted all the seeds so they could use the resulting Sylvari as a reliable source of slaves and test subjects.

FINALLY someone mentions the sealed cave.
Although why do you think it could be sealed with the symbol of serpents on the entrance?

I am pretty sure everyone at Anet knows exactly what a maze or labyrinth is and that the area they have created for us would never be considered an acutal maze.

At this rate I would not be surprised if noone of Anet takes the voice of the forum serious anymore.

I don’t think shield is actually NEEDED for any class,all other off hand weapons are better than the shield IMO,damage wise or utility wise…but you know…shield looks so cool and I use it on my Guardian and on my Warrior in open world PvE (not dungeons of course or fractals,I don’t want to slow down people doing speed runs) and I have so much fun with it.

If you get good at kitting (not kiting, kitting, as in the art of swapping 3 kits) then timing on that shield can be AMAZING.

There is no straight answer. As mentioned, do not bother comparing them.

Your best bet is deciding on a class, trying it and see how it goes, if support casters / bruiser are your thing, go Guardian. But it wont FEEL the same as a druid.

So since when are games ONLY about getting the best gear?

The game only START at level 80, then fractals, achievement, WvW, PvP(well sorta) and living world opens up to you.

So stop taking the easy way out, and PLAY the game. Bloody hypocrisy.

Shields are like pretty much any other weapon, SITUATIONAL.
But because its an offhand weapon, its not as much used.

I have used a shield on a Guard, Warrior and Engineer(still use it on my engineer) in PvP.
It has a use once you start realizing that PvP is not just about spamming all your DPS as soon as it is up.

I think you need to get rid of your glass cannon build…

Very few players are capable of staying alive long in SW with a full DPS build.
You are clearly one of the many.

Anet never ceases to amaze me with how little content they can put out.

It’s been 2.5 years. Most games would of had a full expansion out plus regular updates. Anet has managed to only release 2 new maps, no classes, no skills, no races, a tiny fraction of a story, and only 2 new features in all that time.

Last update was a glimmer of hope in what a regular release schedule should have been, but Anet just can’t keep up.

I have been satisfied as a whole with the releases actually, I could tell you why, but its an empty sort of satisfaction born from little expectation.

But the last one really did wow me, and now meh…

They had way more time to make the first SW release, creating the whole new zone, the next release was going to have less content. Did you really expect another SW-like zone after only 2 months?

Obviously I didn’t. But THIS little really was VERY little.

And I mean we had a REALLY long mid-season break. Potentially could have created and split that times work into a lot more content, but as it stand now, yesterdays update may as well have been part of the original SW patch.

Just wanted to ask if you were expecting more from the latest SW2.0 patch?
The original SW patch just set such a high bar for Season 2 part 2 that I can not help but feel SOOOO underwhelmed and a little disappointed in the latest patch.

I agree! The drop rate on Giants eyes are either stupidly low or people are hoarding them without knowledge.

The total Giants Eyes I have EVER gotten via drop was 2… LOL

EDIT : I have actually been meaning to make Immobulus for one of my MLP RP toons.
At the time it went for 1Gold +/- per Giants eye and about 850G for the complete weapon. Not its A LOT more, like 3500G or something.

Ridiculous drop rate for sure.

EVERYONE just needs to remember that you can play the game however you want, but the person playing the game how it was MEANT to that is just minding his own business and not becoming toxic, is the one IN THE RIGHT.

If you are farming an event and someone happens along and ruins it, its NOT your right to start berating him.

It takes me seconds to jump between completely different maps, as mentioned, your computers sucks, stop complaining about something outside ANET control.

Get an upgrade, CPU and SSD being the most improvement for loading.

This game isn’t meant to be “completed”, so stop thinking of it as I need a everything.

Guild Wars 2 beat the completionist clean out of me.

JPs are not rewarding if your farming them, sure, but they on first completion and if you set challenges for yourself, then they are rewarding on a PERSONAL level.

Not EVERYTHING needs to be a monetary rewards in game. Simply achieving something that may have been a bit difficult should be enough in some cases.
The chest is just a bonus.

I can’t help myself. Also, I love running where I never have to explain anything, but I tend to do it anyway, but at Fractals 30+ It is annoying when people do it wrong. Hahaha. You should know by now, you have to do 30 fractals before this you’ve had your time to learn. I teach when I do low level daily fractals though.

I am still stuck in the 20s. Think its because I dislike pugging Fractals.

The same for Shaman Fractal when people with the Fire Bubble didn’t dodge but then spread their fire to others. At higher levels this is highly annoying.

Nah, shame on you! I like coaching people through it, in a Guild that mostly consist of casuals, so they don’t know the content as well. My default mode to explain it to them on every run.
