I would respond by posting all the screens of the fights I get into where it’s 2v5’s and up this week so far (I screen everything), but I wouldn’t want to embarrass you. Let’s just say all servers have it’s bad players.

Little defensive ? It was just an observation from Saturday night, it happened on more then one occasion. Maybe you weren’t there /shrug. I can say that the Guardian/Thief combo should probably try out for the Olympics, they would probably bring home gold.

I’ve actually been having fun, Good fights with PHZE (sp?) and the RH thief. And GoM, I love that fact that you didn’t zerg me down on more then one occasion I remember why I always loved fighting GoM, good bunch of ppl.

The necro fear off the cliff in hills was pretty funny.

Maybe you should be blaming Anet here, now I realise thakittens hard to believe guilds would want to fight one another in a game called Guild Wars 2. Maybe, just maybe, they should have had enough common sence to figure this one out on their own.

A GvG enviroment should have been in place before ANY other PvP/WvW/SPvP/TPvP, based on what the game was suppose to be about since the release of GW1.

Basically don’t cry and blame the players, its pretty self centered to expect them to play the way you want them to play imo, at least they don’t come here and cry that your not participating in their GvG matches.

DR just ran in behind us when we were recapping Klovan from AR. We flipped it right before they got to lords room, but their group of about 15 wiped us…. except me. I stayed and fought alongside the lord for a good 4-5 minutes wiping DR one by one in the lord’s room and on the bridge, with my fallen allies cheering me on, until the tower was clear. Couldn’t have done it without the help of guards but still…. it was like 1v15 and it was such an intense fight (for me) that I had to take a break to calm down (which is what I’m doing posting now).

Anyway, they came back with 20+ and no RI so I just died in the lord’s room all alone

everyone knows this only happens to AR because were terrible, you should probably make it a better story by saying you were in downed state the entire time, and were facing 100 DR, and don’t give credit to the keep lord either.

All kidding aside, GJ that sounds pretty sweet.

If your trying to fight 30 people solo ….. your doing it wrong.

I’m fine with it happening in WvW, but I think it was pretty lackluster that Anet never had any real official way to setup/track GvG from the start. The game is called Guild Wars, who would have thought that guilds might want to challenge one another right ?

What part of World vs World did you not get? this all depends on your definition of a small group and a zerg if you looking for 5vs5 action go PvP if you hate PvP go to GvG or fight clubs they have plenty small man action. I consider 10+ people a zerg WvW was never really meant for small action I mean sure it’s still very much there but I’ve seen small man groups take towers before even if you can’t take towers flip camps so the enemy has to stop what they are doing and re flip them WORLD vs WORLD is suppose to be big fights not small 5 man group vs other small 5 man group if you train your group hard enough I’m sure your 5-10 man group can take out 10-20 man group it’s not impossible numbers aren’t what wins WvW (but they sure help lol) coverage, coordination, tactics, and siege are what wins WvW this might not be all things but this is just off top of my head a well placed superior AC could easily wipe a 10 man zerg a supply trap could compeltly stop a zerg in it’s tracks due to lack of supply there is sooo much content and new content being releashed every week from traps to WvW abilities and much more WvW dieing is simply not possible.

Its actually suppose to cater to all forms of play, as stated by Anet when it was still being made. Why people come here and try and insist that WvW is ONLY suppose to be about large group warfare just shows how ignorant you are. Each and every play style has a place in WvW and each and every play style contributes to WvW. Just because YOU think its suppose to be about large group warfare does not make it true.

I’m pretty sure he wasn’t asking for only 5vs5 fights and for all the zergs to just go away, it would be nice to see Anet reward players for more then just blobbing up and mashing 1.

Don’t take it the wrong way, I’m not an anti zerg hate machine, I think if people enjoy that then all the power to them, but suggesting WvW is suppose to be about Zerg vs. Zerg only is just wrong.

I got some flak for criticizing Anvil Rock in an earlier post. I just participated in killing an AR zerg of 20+ with I think four people open field (albiet with some npc help). We weren’t in a group or anything, just a few other people who happened to be in the same area. I have literally never seen worse play in the entire time I have been playing this game.

The last time I saw something like this, I was a fairly fresh lvl 50 paladin still running in the zerg. The premier gank group of the time, CKD, bombed said zerg, killing more than 100 of the people around me. When they finally died, I was stunned. While I waited for mana regen to rez, I asked my group (who had all died asides from me), how the hell could so many people die to so few? No one said a word. That was a bit over 10 years ago.

That was what watching these people die felt like.

Surprised FC hasn’t taken over in points. SF usually forgets about wvw when an update shows up. And to AR please take the time in crown pavilion to learn how to zerg. Pve practice for your wvw, just what you guys need.

If we had the numbers, you wouldn’t want us to zerg. It would just not be fun for you, besides, you are aware that theres more to WvW then just clumping up and mashing #1 aren’t you ? We could probably take a note from SF/FC and PvDoor while avoiding any enemy conflict I suppose. Keep fighting the good fight, I’m sure those gates will hit you back if you keep at it.

So I think its safe to say many on AR have come to the conclusion that SF and FC are both spineless, I’m sure your nice folks but spineless none the less. Try hitting one another, now I realize this means you may have to actually fight somewhat equal numbers and try your hardest not to run in terror, but why not give it a try, you might just surprise yourselves and realize there is more then #1 to mash.

We on AR do take it as a compliment that you find all 20 of us such a threat and all though, don’t get me wrong. Its a shame FC needs SF to carry them this much.

So armor consists of 6 pieces, Trinkets/weapons is from 7-9 pieces. Please add more slots mainly because 5 makes no sense at all.

Curious, why doesn’t FC use those numbers your sporting right now and go get your BL back ? Personally don’t care, if it wasn’t you taking AR it would have been SF, I’m just trying to figure out the thought process ?

We will be ok, I do wish they wouldn’t list servers like AR as very high pop. Now that everyone can guest server pop should have zero to do with PvE. Server Pop needs to be based on WvW imo.

I never understood why players that don’t like the game feel like it clearly means everyone will agree with them. Stop kittening and quit.

Someone should probably inform the thief community that most players have better things to do than waste time while the thief pops in and out of stealth every couple seconds just to run away in the end. Play a real class if you want fights.

Relics worked because it gave your realm bonuses. This should be how the orbs always worked.

The orbs need to give PvE bonuses NOT WvW bonuses. You will have servers fighting for control of the orbs as hard as they can, then leave to use those rewards (like magic find or whatever) in dungeons thus meaning less people defending and the other servers a chance to get it for themselves.

The relics worked because they gave bonuses that affected BOTH PvE and RvR, I think you would find most WvW guild wouldn’t give two kittens about orbs that only buffed PvE. They would need to give buffs to WvW as well for it to be worth while, the true problem is, they were to easy to get, we need an SM type castle in each BL that holds the Orbs otherwise they are just to easy to obtain.

Well K, I’m not going to try and persuade you because its your decision in the end but, from what I have seen its not just zergy blobby tactics. Its organized and they all appear to work together, something AR was severly lacking. I’ve been there one night and had the most fun in GW2 I have had in months. It would be great to see you transfer but I have been in your shoes (when TCMM left) so I get where your coming from.

Ya that’s definitely wiping us, maybe when we tried to ac the teens down first was only time we wiped, most of the time all I saw when we put any numbers of decent size out there was the big ole backs of ALS that we are all used to seeing….ya how long did hills take you to get back last night? And oh ya sorry like 60-70 people hitting it with omegas and alphas along with regular siege and the keep that’s opposite of our spawn with SBI attacking us when trying to get in the south, great job there just fantastic I doubt BP could ever do that…

As I said it may have changed in the 15 min it took me to get home, at the time I was there, there were calls out for S hills. I was standing on the ledge just above the water dancing watching the BP mesmer pull ppl off the ledge. I found it quite funny that the AR guys kept running up 1 by 1 and getting pulled off. When they finally jumped down to kill the AC/balista there was 9 green dots, they chased BP just past the sentry, thats when I logged and drove home. If more showed up then good job at holding bay but that was at 4:00 am EST so its just hard to believe there was a large force trying to get bay at that time.

The match is coming to an end, I’m actually hoping we get BP again because all the smack talk aside most of you are a good bunch of folks, unfortunately I’m pulling another 15 hour day so I won’t be able to come to fight club if it happens.

Fun times today in AR BL. With even numbers, you guys couldn’t taken back bay that had 0 supply which also was getting treb from garrison. But at the same time SBI was attacking briar and vale for a long while. But we still held our ground.

Kudos to all those at BP that helped and held Bay. Especially when we had to risked it pushing into AR’s treb. If AR knew how to defend those treb properly and wiped us in the process, it woulda been game over for us, luckily they didn’t.

Of course they were even numbers, about 15 min ago there was 9 AR at garri moving on bay, and 4 when you had the AC and balista up. Maybe that changed in the 15 min it took me to drive home from work, but the very fact that you felt the need to say even numbers shows you were insecure about that fact. But I will give credit where it is due, you held off 9 ppl, you should be proud.

Irony, watching a BP Char laugh at a warrior that took 5+ to down, said warrior then respawns, runs into the 5+ BP and downs the kitten Char and runs to safety. I giggled watching this. I’m sure theres a lesson to be learned here somewhere.

Good fights and good match up but why do all the BP forum warriors claim to have queued ARBL..?

Because people talk across servers all the time. I party chat with AR and SBI regularly particularly after a good fight.

Players can also see the out manned buff on enemies so a lot of the “we were out manned” statements often fall on deaf ears since the other server usually knows.

Friday night about 10:00 EST we had a Que for AR BL, that is the only Que we have had this week, unless we were Que’d in the middle of the day while everyones working which is doubtful. It doesn’t really matter anyways, as for the seeing outmanned buff, I thought I read it was changed so enemy players cannot see it, maybe its in an upcoming patch.

I could sit here and tell you BP outnumbers both the other servers until I’m blue in the face but you guys won’t accept it, even SBI has mentioned this. We deal with it, I personally don’t care about being outnumbered its part of the game and its good for BP, it definately helps your server. Theres nothing wrong with it but don’t deny its a factor.
