How long will the double reward chests be going on for?
I am bringing this up again as ArenaNet clearly don’t understand how much of a problem it is.

Any thoughts from anyone?
I think I have come up with the easiest solution to the problem, something that ArenaNet may not struggle with implementing.
Okay – It’s simple.
Before you enter the match, you are asked whether you are ready or not. This must be before you see who will be in the game with you as certain people will refuse to press ready if they do not think they will win the match.
For the people who do not press ready should receive a 20 minute cooldown before they are allowed to queue up again. Why? I will explain.
1. To avoid people syncing. If a players match does not ‘pop’ at the same time as their friend then they may refuse to press ready. I think a 20 minute cooldown before being able to enter again can put them off from doing this so easily.
2. It’s a punishment for wasting the time of the players that would of been in that match.
All players that were ready should have to queue up again.
That’s all.

Please leave it as it is.
You have something good here. Many Hotjoin players are actually getting less points now than before but all SoloQ & TeamQ players are getting more, which is how it should of been a long time ago.
Do not mess this up for us.
Awesome.
I see a few flaws to this change but nothing serious – I don’t think anyone will really take advantage of them.
I thought the amount of rank points given depends on how close the match is.
It will be fixed eventually but it is an absolute joke how long they are taking to sort it out.
Wow next balance patch on december 12th, run for you lives.
Please tell me that is a joke? Holy kitten.
I don’t blame anyone for raging right now. Matchmaking and 4v5 has become the most frustrating thing I have ever come across in my 12+ years experience in competitive gaming.
I am shocked that this wasn’t fixed much faster. It has made nearly all my friends leave the game.
Edit: People who rage before the game even starts need a slap though.
I use to do HJ for some rank points while I waited for the queue but they took that away from us so now I run around in circles or jump on the rocks near the amulet vendor.
In all honesty, it’s offensive. I’m not sure if the devs did this as a passive aggressive thing against pvpers because this forum is full of complaints.
All pvpers ask for is rewards that are even remotely on par with PVErs. Is that really so hard to ask? There are still pvpers who’ve been strictly pvping since Beta, and have invested arguably even more time into the game than a lot of PVErs with top achievement points.
We all know that it is insanely hard to rank up in pvp, and the ones that are legitamitely lvl 50+ without rank farming/exploiting, have spent A LOT of time into the game.
While PVErs are fed new weapon/armor skins ever 2 weeks (not even mentioning all the already existing cool armor/weapons in PVE that are exclusive to PVE), PVPers have been fed the same items via tourney chests for almost a year now.
I would love for a dev to explain how that’s remotely fair to PVPers? Would you guys offend PVErs by giving them 100 glory every time they completed a dungeon or a event while taking their loot away?
We know that you guys are working on a new reward system which won’t hit until next year…but at least have the decency to try to put SOME incentive into the current reward system knowing that it won’t change for another few months…a small chance to get the new weapon skins and such would be amazing! Something as simple as that would make PVPers very happy already…or is that just too much to ask for?
Great post.
I can’t believe that they would actually think replacing them was a good idea. I feel like they are making a joke out of us now as I find it hard to believe they would do something this stupid.
This should be fixed in the next PvP drop, which may be next month, not sure.
We’ve got even more substantial matchmaking improvements on the radar, but those won’t make it in until sometime next year.
This should be one of the priorities since this kills the pvp appetite of new ppl and also wears down the dedicated community.
This.
Matchmaking and 4v5 SoloQ is a FAR more serious problem than just about anything else in sPvP right now.
This just prevents people playing tournaments to play hot join while waiting. Sure you can play hot join, but you won’t be able to get any rank points there since you probably won’t be till the end of the match.
THIS.
I love to play hot join while I wait for my next match in SoloQ which can take around 5-20 minutes of waiting. Now, I have to just sit there and wait. It’s awful.
I doubt they would actually remove ranks and if they did, I would expect a 3 month notice before it actually happens.
