hmmm, because i read some post that toughness is not that important,
so im having alot of dilemma,
but im also considering getting full karma gear power tough vit, but sacrificing crit damage
my build is not really solely based on backstab,
im just torn or my concern is having or not having a toughness stat in my build,
im having a dilemma between these two set of armors (i dont want to spend alot of karma, or tokens to get both, lazy to farm another set)
valkyrie (crit% vit power)
or karma (tough vit power)

i honestly, beat guardians, but i think it boils down to your gameplay and armory of choice,
i always thought of guardians having an immense/insane amount of toughness,
and also in the back of my mind, they can only reach a meager 20k plus of hp,
so my approach is to bleed you to death, since toughness bypass your toughness,,
its always learn to play,
learn to hybrid your guardian,
dont single out one build, you will end up dying without a proper fight,
hmmm how did you get 60% crit chance without any trait at crit tree?
as far as i experienced only rampagers full set + trinkets will give 75% crit chance with 30crit tree
since rampagers has the highest precision armor in game
the necromancers also noted that if your condition duration is below 50% dont invest on it, because its useless, (because everyone, almost everyone, carry a utility that cleanses condition)
as 50% equates to a meager 1 sec additional tick
and they also noted that, seemingly 13 secs is the cap bleed timer,
oh shooooot, its so sad, i want the shoulders badly,

why is it always karma vendors when talking about power/ toughness/ vit stat?
isnt it that ascalon gears share the same stat with power/ toughness/ vit stat?
did you use superior rune of corruption on your weapon?
as i browse necrothread, to help you out in condition damage spec,
they found/figured out that an additional 100 condition damage is equal to 5 bleed per tick
since they can reach 2000+ condition damage stat easily thats why their bleed is so hard
for a thief who has 1400+ base state for CD added by 25 stacks of superior rune of corruption, your bleed should be around 130+
TIP: if you want to maximize your equipments based on Condition damage, go to necromancer thread, they have tons of combinations at hand

now, to think about 1200 range, Enigmoid presented a good point,
imagine a pistol thief @1200 range, solely build stealth + venom traited, For the Win hehehe,
ice drake venom + devourer + basilisk = totally immobized ownage
and imagine 5 thiefs sharing venoms, and they synchronize their timing well

i agree with the idea, that spirits should be unkillable
spirit weapon of guardians can be damaged
so should our spirits.
thief is not OP,
players just dont realize the value of having toughness and vitality on their stat, and mindlessly building a glass cannon spec, and feels like that they should win most of the time,
(mind you im a ranger, but built moslty in survival and vitality,)
the key is react fast, so that you will not eat their entire damage
thief imo is not imba, they are fine as they are,

as how i see it in pvp and or wvwvw
players are slowly evolving to stow away glass specced traits,
i, myself, ditched berserkers set, and went full pseudo tanky build,
things i learned playing this game, know your role you want to play, and react fast
so if you have noticed its the thief that shows an animation glitch in haste + #1 short bow, just compare them in hearts of the mist.
their animation glitches and does not do the normal reloading of their short bow

1200 range on either shortbow or pistols would not be out of line given our complete lack of weapon options. Dual Pistols would probably be better balanced as it is purely single target, but it makes more sense to have it on Shortbow. Ranger shortbow is 1200 range AND they have more melee weapon options than we do AND they have pets. Warriors have 1200 range AND more weapon options AND more health and armor AND they are just as dangerous in melee with knockbacks, charge and immobilises.
We just had a significant nerf to pistol whip, backstab and dagger storm are surely on the horizon given the QQ on these forums so why shouldn’t we get better range if we are getting hammered by the nerf bat in melee? For those that say we dont need it because we have stealth…. so do mesmers but they have 1200 range options too. At least a mesmer can dual wield swords.
dont compare our thiefs to rangers in terms of melee weapons and short bows, their damage is too weak and beyond compare,
either way, i think 1200 range would fit pistol, since it would not be as game breaking as to what i imagined it to be if shortbow will gain 1200 range.
id love to see blinding attacks from afar.
and add trait to pistol, piercing shot, that would make p/p better as to what it is now

i made my human’s height too small, i want to make him taller., i hope this feature or recustomization will be present soon
i just find it hard to let go of my skins,
i transmuted my AC gear to Falcon set, and got tired of the look, and transmuted it again to citadel of flame set,
it is a separate tab for combat skin costume,
they will change the mechanics of transmutation stones.
the desired combat costume will become statless and becomes a pure skin.
e.g. i want citadel of flame to be one of my costumes, i will simply transmute them to become a skin that will go to the third tab dedicated to combat costume, without fusing it to my current set,
in that sense i can make a lot of costumes to mix and match my taste
just to illustrate, red box for combat costume, yellow for armor, blue for town costume( i sux at image creation )
indications:
1. this will encourage players to collect all dungeon armors for the sake of fashion, without sacrificing their current stat choice,
2. increase in the purchase of fine transmutation stones
3. mix and match of items will have a HUGE array of possibilities

i know that Arenanet’s idea is that every area of GW2 is endgame,
why not add a little spice to the game like adding a special week task(s) that has a reward skin that is available for that week alone,
e.g. holloween is coming complete this week task (whatever they have in mind) to get an exotic holloween cap(anything that ranges from pumpkin head, witch hat etc)
so that players have something to look forward to every week
ps. its so sad that two of my friends stopped playing after two weeks, now i feel all alone…. /sobbbbb
to top this out, can they make all the armor pieces to be able to use hide function,
i want to run naked during battles ^^

disarming is a nice addition to trickery build in a thief, like disarming an opponent while using steal, since you have a trait that makes steal 1200 range
it would be a good addition to shout-build warriors or rangers, to make their shout unveil hidden enemies, just to counter heavy hitting backstabs
give us a trait in our tree that makes Shout utilities detect and unstealth hidden enemies,
in about 1200 range radius or less

i guess, give other professions the ability to detect stealth, like giving Traits to warrior that makes their shouts detect hidden enemies in 1200 range radius

let us hope that they will buff and/or tweak the other “weapon sets” of ranger,

among all the glass cannon-build professions,
glass-cannon rangers are the most pathetic compared to glass cannon thiefs and warriors,
just a question, where can you find the recipe for ogre longbow/shortbow, i like the skulls. thanks
