increase damage 10% while under the effect of fury,
since in the current version of this trait, we lose 10% damage as soon as the opponents health drop 50%
and make “no quarter” flat 300 ferocity

it might be a channeled skill in disguise
but as i said, it is coded as a teleport skill “shadow stepping”
regarding UA, its a Teleport skill,
and i tested all teleport skill related skills, and you cant weapon swap since its an instant skill. (correct me if i am wrong)

i was just wondering what will they give us to steal and use it against a rev
for the sake of balance, we are the only medium class that has the lowest vitality,
engi and rangers share the same base hp, and they have an ample amount of survivability in their sleeve (E.G. dont kill me buttons like invulnerability)
meanwhile thief has stealth? arguably we can say that the two other medium classes has access to it as well with the ability to reveal an opponent who in invisible.
solutions that i had in mind:
1. increase the health pool of the thief on par with all the medium class
or
2. add an invulnerability button (skill) to the new specialization class.
-to think about it we are the only class who does not have a skill that will make us invulnerable (aside from the necro’s death shroud which is also considered “dont kill me skill”)
or
3. give us the ablity to detect someone in stealth as well
Also, don’t bother putting air and fire sigils on your underwater weapons – they don’t trigger underwater.

Why not make thief traps apply revealed debuff for added counter play,

spoke like someone that doesn’t play thief. there’s rarely a reason for a thief to swap weapons back and forth within 10 seconds.
all i see is an endless option of combo(s), not having a weapon swap cooldown,
eg. s/d + sb = infil. strike + cnd + swap to shortbow surprise shot + swap to s/d infil. return, (for team immobilize support. rinse and repeat) and a lot more possibilities

it does not cause revealed status because it does not have an initial damage to it,
it is a pure condition attack
if they will add a “physical damage” it will yield “revealed” status
im with the other forum user, that if chill does affect our cooldown,
allow us thieves to have separate initiative pool between weapon swaps to compensate,
any news about these two runes regarding the upcoming update in april?

waiting for upscaled video with many people. u did 90% of the dmg to priest without being hit once or even attacked by shades. its easy solo. ill wait. if not its cool.
just for giggles….even if u could do it with lots of people there…which u cant…. i believe anyway….. because its chaotic and lots of enemies/dmg not just 1 enemy to worry about. you cant afford any mistakes. you will die if u even mess up. guardian ? nope. plenty of 2nd…3rd…4th…5th chances. remember back to college chem bio or even hs bio class where you did experiments and had to compare results. i bet u used the same settings …same variables…same solutions and sulubles in each so the results would be comparably valid. buuuuut not here. :P hence u cant compare. its night and day.

just wondering about both videos,
it is true that aijkinx is a veteran player, but judging his choice of utilities is far from what auesis used in the battle,
aikijinx did not use SoM, and clearly he invested on shadow arts tree,
and for auesis build its different,
therefore, if aikijinx will use the same setup that auesis used, he will gain the same outcome.

I don’t know if you’re really thinking that through. Remember, one of the boons is Protection, which cuts incoming damage by 33%. The end result is that the Lyssa rune user might get 8 boons and the attacking Warrior might get a 24% bonus to damage, but the effect of Protection still mitigates that to the point where the Kill Shot does less damage than it would if there were no boons (and thus no Protection) up.
Now, if someone found a way to get every boon except Protection on themselves, then they might be in for some pain.
Another way to read that is protection is the only useful boon now (against boon hate warriors anyway) and loses effectiveness for each additional boon. With the amount of aoe boons going out in this game, this sounds like a horrible idea. Well, maybe regeneration is ok too, as it will outheal the increase in damage still (except for bursts…..).
Please don’t buff me with might/fury/swiftness now, thanks. Yeah, thanks for that extra 9% incoming damage homey….. Having allies apply debuffs to their group…… ho….leeee…kitten…. Who came up with this genius plan?

If that’s the case, our minor traits in the alchemy tree have just turned into suicide by warriors. You might now end up seeing bunker engies go more in the invention tree line instead of alchemy treeline if boon hate does end up being a threat.

Thieves will steal boon on flanking strike (s/d) and since thieves have no CD on weapon skills i dont think they’ll get a CD on flanking strike. So.. traited MuG + 2-3 Flanking strikes makes you boonless.
i find it funny in this scenario:
engi + warrior vs thieves: thieves will steal all the boons the engi, then the warrior will kill thieves because of boon hate ahahhaha

thieves will steal one boon on s/d skill #3, since we run on initiative system we can spam 3 skill #3 in succession only
mug is a healing ability with damage now, and you cannot crit using that skill.
pretty much that is the big update for thieves,
making S/D the new meta ( i think)
since S/D FS will be a tactical weapon set,
you should hunt and wear down bunkers, and it is spammable in a sense (given that you have enough initiative to play with

we did not get boon hate, it went to warriors 3% damage per boon

yep to regulate players from server hopping,
i would rather put it 50$ each transfer, or 2k gold + 250 ecto to transfer
since our server population is decreasing, our top guilds migrated to T1 since gold is kinda trivial when its under 50g to top guilds
very nice D/P skills there… so thats the difference between average thieves vs pro thieves. average thieves having hard times to cope up in WvW or PvP but pro moves by pro thieves is super OP. so the 4secs revealed buff is just fine i think…. make it 3secs againt and it wud be too powerful!!…. so thieves crying for 4secs revealed buff.. deal with it!! discover and master the OPness of thieves!
4 secs is fine in wvwv and spvp, since in that 1 second gap you can blind or dodge
the majority only clamours for 4 secs reveal in PvE, which disrupts their rotation for DPS in dungeons,
im a little disappointed since t6 mats are expensive,
but still excited because theres a new skin fow quiver
sometimes its dangerous to use sigil of fire in an open field with NPC, because it disrupts your BP+HS Combo
id rather have sigil of air/Blood/strength/ice etc that doesnt have AOE effect

yep right click targetting makes mesmers a little harder to kill,
since when you use right click to pan/navigate the map to find the real mesmer, it locks/targets the clones instead
so they define hybrid as a style of weapon switching? heheeheh
(so all classes that uses weapon switching is a hybrid)
eg warrior with hammer for CC/control and GS for damage is a hybrid?

It’s all going to come down to how boon hate is implemented. If it’s implemented as a passive damage increase against a target depending on how many boons they have it will be an absolutely dreadful mechanic. All it will end up providing is another variable in the class skill coefficients where if a Thief doesn’t do enough damage against guardian’s, they’ll up the coefficient until the class is where it needs to be. They’ll then do the same thing for a different amount to Warriors, then Rangers, and so on. Terrible.
This looks so reasonable and such a great idea. I mean, it’s a simple system, it’s got great tuning potentials and will lead to the point where Thief, Warrior and Rangers are where they need to be. What is there to hate?
Instead, what if boon hate was attached to skills with cooldowns (not long cooldowns as they need to be a realistic element to keep in mind and not some small niche thing you see once in awhile) and these skills would destroy all boons on the target, place a debuff on the target so they can’t get new boons for 10 seconds, and did a small damage premium (+2% damage) per boon destroyed? This way you add a whole new dynamic to the game. Classes like Elementalists, Mesmers, and Guardians would now need to coordinate with their teams better, they’d have to reserve defensive skills for defensive purposes instead of lining up damage, and you encourage classes that are already ignored in this game (Warriors and Thieves in sPvP for example) a reason to be brought along.
Now this one is such a terrible idea XD Are you really suggesting such a huge penalty for getting hit by a low cooldown skill while having a single boon?
What new dynamic you added in the game except completely destroying ANY chance of guardian and elementalists from surviving any fight by completely shutting down their whole ability to use boons?
1.) It’s a terrible idea because no one will know how boon hate works. Boon Hate trait for Warrior could give +.5% damage per boon where on a Ranger it could give +2.38% per boon. It also doesn’t do anything but boost damage. If you look at the state of things in sPvP, damage isn’t the main issue holding classes like Warriors and Thieves back.
2.) Shutting boons down for 10 seconds out of every 30 seconds is going to be the end of the world for Guardians and Elementalists? The same classes that can become immune for nearly 10 seconds through skill and ability use? The same classes that can move unhindered 1200 yards away? The same classes have more than one method of healing?
I’m sure they’ll manage. And if they can’t, then change the counter from 10 seconds to 4. Figure it out.
Now as for depth? We have classes right now like Warriors and Thieves that don’t bring anything to the table in sPvP. Boon Hate alone still won’t allow them to be functional classes, but at least they’d have a role to play. And anything that adds more depth to the PvP system is a good thing.

As far as making pets optional, put them on passive and ignore them if you want. You’ll be hurting your effectiveness, but if it’s more fun for you that way, go for it.
OR anet can:
1. make a proper archer class that doesn’t use pets.
2. give thieves longbows
3. make a viable ranger build that doesn’t use pets.The easiest option would be giving thieves longbows. They don’t have a long-ranged weapon anyway!
Asking the player base to simply ‘ignore’ their pets because that’s how they wanna play – especially when people already deny rangers a dungeon spot – is ludicrous.
