The same thing can be said about AoE skills. All players have to do is realise they are standing in a big red circle and should expect it to damage them.

But instead Anet limited AoE skills to only affect 5 players, even if 80 players stand in it!

So on one side devs are saying people should learn how to keep an eye out for skills, whilst at the same time giving in and putting a limit on AoE skills so zergs can be lazy.

Makes absolutely no sense at all!

Separate times are the best way really.

You say this new time will hugely affect NA players; but then do you not think EU players having to stay up at 2am is a much greater affect at the current time?

This new time means a lot more EU players can be on at reset as they wont be asleep, whilst NA will have to wait a couple hours to get back from work/school on the west coast.

If Anet are not going to give separate times, then this new time is the next best thing, not the current time, which is way too late for EU.

Yeah there are a few wall glitches now where you can use skills like ‘Blink’ to get inside them and would have to use another skill to attempt to get you out. You can keep trying blink but once in the wall you can’t target anything so you’d need to line it up with a ramp or something on the outside… that’s the only way to escape, not even portals will help thee!

Well that’s the thing, I dont know how I got into the wall, I was on a necro.
I think a ranger used their knockback skill and pushed me in somehow, and then I couldnt find a way out. Couldnt WP out cos someone was attacking me >.<

Solution is extremely simple. Put the player’s account name on the placed siege, under the target frame when targeting. Banning griefers will be a non-issue then and easy to report, and having your account name branded on your siege should deter any moron from grieving in this fashion lest face suspension.

I think this really is the only suitable “solution”. Everyone will be able to find out who built the siege and how many and which guild. Unfortunately Anet cannot reprogram these idiots who are ruining the game for everyone

And as they have said this is a hard issue to tackle, usually it’s only commanders who place siege, we dont want a newbie to WvW for reporting commanders who have dropped 5 cats to take down a fortified keep quickly.

WvW is not sPvP.

WvW is not just about killing other players.

WvW is not WoW.

I suggest that you find out if that group was on a voip and if you can join it, if not then either roam around on your own, or find another group. There are a couple of things you can do solo in WvW.

Can we please not have yet another thread about people complaining about the other servers’ zergs.

We all blob on all servers as we all already know. Complaining about it wont change a thing; that’s why people have set up GvG matches which are normally held on Fridays, this way guilds can play against each other with fair numbers.

Now, sorry to the few DsD members who tried to take AG’s north camp twice, we saw you coming and hid to ambush you, were nice fights.

And what humiliation is that? All three servers remain where they were; only BB lost a few points in rankings. So what exactly was shown?

It’s just one of the issues of having a globally played game.

But seeing as we have EU and US regions, perhaps separate reset times shoudl be in order. Though this will affect those who have joined guilds that are in the other region.

Someone suggested maybe having some sort of playoff system, But this will lead to highly unfair matchups sometimes.

So instead, make we should create divisions, where each division has say 3 tiers in it. have separate playoff in each division between the servers in the 3 tiers, and at the end of them you calculate a score for each server; then restart with a new round of playoffs.

I’m not a sports fan really, but I assume this would give better scores maybe, but really it would give servers a chance to face other servers instead of the same old ones every week.

As I heard, the March patch was supposed to add the account bound status to siege blueprints. Yet they are still soulbound and Anet have not told us why this is still the case.

Mine crashes completely. :/

Come on Anet, we really were expecting this in the patch but it still has not been fixed! It’s getting very tedious having to disband a party in order to invite another player since we cannot kick the offline member!

WvW is not a safe place for toys

Since the MArch patch we’ve all been experiencing crashes. Anet can you please fix this asap as so many of us are crashing repeatedly and randomly during WvW.

Anet has given people the option to move to a low-medium population server for free, if you have not moved that means you accept that the current tier you are in will zerg and blob from both enemy servers and your own.

Coloured dots are probably better, and maybe have it display the full info just on your target.

I think we were expecting names to be colour coordinated with your server, if you were red, your tag would be red, green= green tag, blue= blue tag. A sea of red just makes things confusing.

Yeah let’s just forget about complaining about zergs, we all know that is what wins the game and therefore that’s what people will do. If you want to complain about zergs then complain to Anet. We had enough complaining from FSP about our zergs, not realising they were the ones with the largest zergs. EVERYONE ZERGS!

When you watch someone’s WvW video and during it they tilt the camera down. You then try to use your mouse to tilt it back up again.

I really hate it that when I want to craft an item, the UI shows the items and materials I need to make it. It even shows how many of those items and materials I currently have.

However would it not make things so much better is to the right of the listed items and materials for the item you are trying to make, you also have a crafting button next to them. This would save us having to search through the list of items to find and craft one of the required items adn then having to go back and check what the next item is.

I recently got a NVidia 650Ti. By default the fan speed is set to 21%, but playing games it doesnt change, it’s still stuck on 21% and temps go over 50C

Installed Nvidia’s System Tools and set profiles, but the profiles dont always work. So every time play GW2, only game I play atm, I first start the System Tools and change the fan speed manually to 50%. This make sure the temp doesnt exceed 50%

I really thought drivers and software would do this automatically; imagine if you had to do this with your CPU! It’s a shame the profiles dont work for some reason. They did use to work, but then they didnt for me, hence why do t manually to make sure my card doesnt run hot.

IF you dont have this for your nvidia car I recommend you try it, or use msi afterburner which has similar features I beleive and works with ati cards as well.

I think outmanned buff is a little bugged. We’ve seen people on our server with outmanned buff whilst at the same time the person next to them doesnt have the buff.

Outmanned doesnt give you much in terms of attack or defense, though now if you have the buff and are killed your armour no longer receives any damage, so not repair costs.

Outmanned just gives you more xp and slightly better loot when you kill an invader.

It’s Karma, you lose the supply bonus for killing a dolly.

Nah it is a bug. Used to occur if you had 15 supply and tried to pick up more at a camp, but they fixed that.

I agree as well. Some people dont check the guild message, maybe have it displayed in chat when you first log in like it did in GW1.
And again members dont always look at their guild’s website and forums posts.

And of course some wont look at a guild calander, but at least it makes it easier for people to see what’s happening when, and also wont have to open up a browser to make a forum post.

As the “WvW” update didnt have much for WvW, how about reactivating the orbs?

I know certain players in all servers are hacking to steal the orbs without fighting their way into the keep containing it, but at least it gave us something to do!

I say bring back the orbs, even if hackers will continue to exploit.

If people want smaller battles then you are in luck, this week there are free transfers to low and medium tier servers. So if that’s what you want then move there. If by the end of this week you have not, then you only have yourself to blame when you get wiped by a zerg. We’ve all been given a chance to move now, so if you dont that also means you are happy to continue fighting zerg vs zerg.

Just remember that this is only Tier 4, imagine the zergfests in Tier 1.

This coming from KISS, the biggest guild in this matchup. I would be ashamed posting stuff like this.

I dont like zerging either really, but as I said thanks to bad planning by Anet this is what WvW has become. If you dont have a zerg you wont be able to gain many points.

You can bet Arborstone have a large zerg compared to the smaller groups that FoW and Vabbi have, hence the huge difference in points.

If you look at the latest scores, EU Tier 4 is most balanced tier in both EU and US servers, based on points. T7 in USA are not that far off each other either. This implies we are attacking and defending equally and our tier provides the most challenging fights.

I, and I am sure quite a few other KISS members do not mind the zergs, to us it just means more loot bags when we win. Just look back on other comments and server match threads we’ve been in, we’ve not complained much at all, we dont have a problem.

As I suggested, if you do have a problem with zergs, try a lower populated tier.
So come next week I hope noone complains about the zergs as you have signed up for it as you did not move server.

Before the culling fix we had servers complaining another server was running with 40+ players when they were only 10. With the fix we can now see each server is running with 40+.

So if we know the limit this’ll allow servers to complain about how they were running with x-1 players whilst the enemy had x.

So what is x? We need to know in order to plan how to distribute our players.

Try at another time, during peak times server will be listed as being high population, but off-peak when less players are online, I believe they are then lsited at mid-low population servers.

Good to see you are still going in guns blazing. We’ve seen some people who now see the real numbers in front of them and run away. We’re like “wtf you doing?!” Even though they used to run into these zergs before and wipe them, now they see a huge force which they now think they cannot defeat. Kindda silly.

I know, it’s kidda absurd the amounts you need in this game sometimes. The promised no grinding and yet everything is a gold sink which requires grinding of dungeons to get back in order to spend on another gold sink.

I mainly do WvW, and even though the loot bag drop rate has increased, it is still nowhere near the amount you get from dungeon runs. In an evening I can make almost 2 gold in WvW; a guild member says he can make that in 30 minutes or less in CoF.

Most servers already have abbreviations on the forums which would help. Also dropping the Invader part would be nice as well so we basically see something like

You can’t drop invader, that’s the whole point of the rank system.

Again, I think that just like people can display their Titles, WvW Ranks should be the same.

I too think the abbreviated server name and guild tag is all that is needed, and all player need to know. If they want to know their WvW Rank each player should have an option to turn that on or off, and same with Titles.

Keep the info short, sweet and to the point, as all servers run in zergs ther ereally is no point giving full into on every single player, that’s why we now have this tagging clutter.

There must have been 70+ AG’s infront of our bay tonight.
We probabaly killed about 20 in the initial stages but still easily 50+ streamed inside from portals and trough the gate.
Was horrible really, skills didn’t work at all.

Yeah were surprised ourselves at the sheer number of people we had! We were like “Where’d all these people come from?!”

I think this update has brought a lot of people into WvW both from PvE and those who stopped playing WvW due to the culling, in order to see how it is like now.

What happened to siege prints going to be Account bound?! All mine are still Soulbound

Troll group is an understatement. Last night your group ran away from my gc necro.

MY guild was behind Brair ready to move away, a couple pugs I think who didnt want to fight you, and one of your guys even pulled me into your group. But instead of killing me you jumped off the bridge and ran back to the middle island. I was like wtf they doing, you had an easy kill but decided to jump.

Simple solution, if another player from a different guild comes along and wishes to claim a keep, they can only do so if their guild can provide more boosts than the current guild which claims it.

This helps with those guilds that are offline and lost some of their boosts, and prevents troll/noob guilds from claiming a keep without offering the rest of the server any boosts.
