No it wont, it will mean will stick to one single character in order to level that character first. Starting on a second character means giving yourself a handicap as that character doesnt have the same WvW traits as your main which you have leveled. For small guilds this is a huge barrier if you ask me; large guild will have enough people with the different traits and having several players with those traits, allowing another player to level a new character. But small guilds wont have that luxury and must focus on a single character in order to compete on a level field.

But all in all, I heard this was supposed to be a dedicated WvW patch and all we got were two things. Let’s hope when the update comes the patch notes for the WvW section are a lot meatier.

What? Why?! Here we were getting to fight Gandara again only to find all the big guilds were having a night off and now to find our that XxX have moved to another server.

Man. Well anyhows I can see that Baruch Bay are having fun having dropped down yet another tier. They were supposed to come second but for some reason they basically stopped playing Friday; makes me think they did it on purpose to drop down and farm loot. Shame on them if that’s the case.

Wow people still complaining about portals, it’s already been nerfed to a limit of 20, and someone’s told us that they may be nerfing it again though not sure.

How about we get rid of every single skill bar one skill. All players will only have this single skill to use which will hit people for the exact same damage, whether they be wearing exotic gear or be running around in their underwear. Seems this is the only answer to keep these complainers happy.

But then guess what, noone will play it cos the game is so boring!

I read in anotehr post someone submitted a ticket to Anet about people who act as spies and waste a server’s supplies on useless siege.

They said Anet got back to them and said people can play the game how they want. i.e. They do not see anything wrong with players doing this and have no plans to prevent it.

So even though the rest of us, even players on the other servers, know this ruins WvW for everyone; Anet dont think the same!

lol so 10 minutes in a PvE dungeon gives your 1g, whilst it takes me on average 6 hours in WvW to make that much!

Also for a WvW patch there sure seems to be a lot of PvE content. For a lot of people this patch was gonna make WvW and in turn GW2 for them; and if the only things we get are the end of culling and character bound achievements then I can see a lot of people leaving GW2.

From the new image on the site, it seems that each borderlands has specific things as well. Now question is will these reset every week or carry on and the server name change?

I agree that thre should be some account bound achievements and some character bound ones. I play WvW 99% of the time and sometimes use other characters. This system will force people to play on just one character. I think this is unfair really because if they or the guild needs more of one profession they have to start all over again, for smaller guilds this will put them at a disadvantage whilst larger guilds will have plenty of each.

lol which is worse? An enemy you cannot see or and enemy you might see sometimes but cannot do a thing against them.

Skill lag of course in this case, Even if I cannot see an enemy I would still like to be able to swing a sword in their general direction; or in my case spam aoe everywhere.

I blame KISS too. They were on EB at the time and had no idea what was going on, but the things they were doing on EB, shocking!

Well if some other AG guilds did end up letting BB take over our BL and help them keep it, it is a bit unfair.

But then again this is war between 3 different servers, there is nothing to stop 2 servers teaming up to beat down the 3rd.
After all if Anet think that the spies who build useless siege in keeps is fair play them this is fair play as well.

Before the loot drop increase I found my staff ele got a lot of bags and even mesmer with a staff when compared to my necro with a staff.

Now though I mainly play on my gc necro.

I think it is really a suggestions and should be left there.

I agree with the different colour nameplate for dead enemy players as well.

In a sea of dead players it is hard to see the living one who’s ressing.

Well seeing as Anet dont seem to think having spies on a server who build useless siege in a keep in order to reduce supplies as being an issue, I doubt they will see this either.

But then again that’s what siege is for, to siege a place or area, in this instance they did it to one of their spawn exits. There are the 2 side exits people can use.

It’s just another part of the game.
Though if you ask me when it comes to the players who waste supply on useless siege maybe Anet should have a “kick of of WvW” option. If 10 other ally players vote to kick them from the map they are banned from WvW for an hour or so.

There are also times they dont bother to tell people they are doing a 1v1.

I think I interrupted a 1v1, but the guy didnt say anything for over a minute, was fighting a thief who like all thieves like to abuse the sulling produced from stealthing. After that the ally player left and let the thief kill me….

lol that would make it a bit more interesting I think, make it so that the only way to kill enemy players is via traps only. It will prevent people from overpowering other players, and provide a challenge.

Though it will also prevent people from running portal runs to the chest which I know will put of some from doing it.

So I agree to this or at least let’s test it out.

Skill lag is way OP!!!!! :P

On reset all 3 servers went to SM and god, the skill lag we got there, I tried to use my heal skill over 10 times in a row, nor once did it activate :P

Let’s see what the March update brings though.

I think it’s only PvE players who complain about invaders camping JPs, after all that’s the best why for them to get badges without actually contributing to WvW.

In this case I say good, you’re wasting a WvW slot that a real WvW player can use! If you want badges for your legendary then earn them from real WvW battles!

This is WvW, it’s about killing all invaders, sometimes invaders will let you do a JP without resistance, other times they will kill you on site. It;s a part of the game, if you dont like it go back to PvE!

It’s been said so many times but I dont think Anet will ever do this.

So people have said in other game with autoloot, the process causes a lot of lag.

But we do need something else; yes loot is dropped next to your feet, but when you are running with your zerg, by the time you see the pick up tag, you’ve ran too far from it to press pick it up and the tag disappears. And since you are running with your zerg, you cannot always go back to pick it up.

This happened last night to me, we were running out of SM as BB took it, we jumped over a wall to regroup. We were fighting a RS zerg which was also in SM, and as they stayed BB killed them, but we still got xp the kills. I looked back and saw 10 loot bags littered behind me as we had run away from the wall to regroup.

Players simply do not have the time to pick up their loot in such situations! Though it is nice the drop rate has increased, but when you still cannot pick t up, what’s the point?

There’s a rumour that an anet artist let out that they have no current or near future plans on making anything based on Cantha, saying that want to stay away from cultural regions or something.

We all think this is a bad idea as I know a lot of us were hoping to see more of Tyria as a planet, but it now seems we will only see the Tyria continent for now with new content added to it; which is a shame.

Well GW1 had a window open when you left a mission with all the loot you didnt pick up so why not GW2 when you either use a waypoint of leave WvW?

If you add me to your friends list and /w me I will see if I can organise a small capping team to clear out keeps for you to keep things fair and fun: no promises though, I’m not sure if I would be able to find anyone with my exact flavor of sportsmanship.

This seems fair, but then you have to worry about the pugs, and then time for them to resupply, we too want to take a keep fairly, but f we break the gate down to just remove the siege, you know a pug group will try to cap the keep.

As for Anet’s reply saying that people can play how they like, that’s totally not on in this situation. It’s completely unfair and ruins everyone’s fun on all sides!
We want the enemy to use their supply to ether repair or build useful defensive siege, or gain some of that supply if we take the keep.

These players think they are helping their guild and server, but are in fact ruining the game. Anet needs to rethink that statement and consider banning those who transfer to do things like this.

I suggested a chest at the spawn where you can pick up your rewards.

But yeah loot bags in WvW are a pain, if you look up youtube videos you see a lot of people fighting and rarely picking up loot as they are still busy with the rest of the enemy zerg. Players lose dozens of loot bags. Other times players pick them up, IF they win, and so waste a minute looking around for their loot.

I’ve had it where we were defending SM outer wall which had fallen, so we were keeping them out. I died with around 5 bag around me, then some pug fixes the wall so I cannot be ressed or get my loot bags. Not that it matter as by the time I ran back the wall was down again but the bags had already despawned!

But yeah either a chest or auto pickups in WvW

It does suck that some players think it’s funny to transfer servers and build useless siege in order to drain a keep of supply.

It’s not funny, it’s not helpful and tbh those people should be banned from the game.

But that’s another thing I do not get, when you reach the siege cap, surely if another siege is placed down, the oldest siege currently on the map should be made to despawn to allow for the new one to be built. I dont know why Anet have not done this though.

But I think this add to the case that in WvW loot should not be a drop.
We all know in WvW you can get so busy in a fight that you can be pushed from one part of the map to another and cannot go back for your loot.
And in this instance a fight can be so close that both parties die and there is no way to pick up the loot bags.
Sometimes you might be able to run back in time before they despawn, but most times you cannot even get back.

So instead maybe add a chest at the spawn where you can collect your loot from after a battle?

Blizzard off free transfers to low population servers and I think Anet should do this too.

Of course people wont get the same fights in lower servers, so an incentive must be made to make it appealable for some people to go. But then I think the numbers should be limited and kept up to date. Afterall you dont want to have a guild decide to move only to then find only half of them were able to transfer.

But yes, thanks to the hugely expanded time of free transfers, WvW is a bit of a mess.

I think we too have had similar experiences but based them on the fact that the opposing server had got everyone on the map into one place, whilst some of ours were at other points on the map.

But I do agree it does seem that sometimes the enemy far outnumbers you and you cannot get more people on the map as they are told there is a queue.

Our real nightcapping was thx to KAZ and siN and these days has been RNV, now i think there’s nothing left apart from that southamerican guild which I never saw them…

Well they are completely invincible for 5 minutes now.

Anet say this is how it should have been since the start, we shouldnt have been able to condition them down.

I guess it doesnt make too much of a difference, and will help outmanned servers gain a few more points seeing as enemies will have to wait 5 minutes before they can take the camps and keeps now.

It just means that you will have to go take another position which isnt buffed and come back afterwards.

Some people can solo take a camp, so no change there is you ask me.
But I think it will be an interesting change and we should see how the next week’s matchup goes to see how it affects the maps long-term.

I do like that when it comes to the JP a lot of people actually think, “should I kill them or let them go”

Anywhere else in WvW you would attack them if you think you can kill them, or call in help to kill them.

But I find it funny when you come across a player who wants to kill you when you arent going to kill them, and even gesture to show you wont attack. They just see red and run at you.
I think last week, RS took our Bay, may have been BB maybe this week; I was on my ele and was standing on the bridge at watergate. RS didnt sweep. I stood there for a few minutes noone came to sweep.
So I decided it would be fun to see what would happen in I, a wee little asuran elementalist decided to have a nap on the bridge.
Minutes later a RS invader, even seeing me just lying there attacked with everything they had! I jumped in the water, I had the permanent speed boost from the signet skill, so was outswimming them. 10 seconds later I look back and 10 other invaders had jumped into the water and killed me.

All I wanted to do was sleep on the bridge
But there you have it, some players would have laughed at the fact an enemy invader was sleeping so openly in an enemy keep, others will just attack you.

I’ll believe it when I see the enemy invader :P

I did say it as it is, I said if you are complaining on our nightcappers, then we can complain about your early morning cappers.

You yourself have said you took most of it back. So I dont see the problem, if AG took things whilst your server was less active, your server took things when ours is less active. This is what happens when servers from different time zones play against each other. This happens with all servers and even though many of us dont like it, it is part of the game.

WvW is a one week long, 24/7 battle. There is no set primetime, each server has their own primetime based on their own players. I hear BB has some Mexican players, we have some US players as well. their primetime isnt the same as us in the EU.
Even in the EU western europe prime time 2-3 hours different than eastern europe.

So what exactly do you want Anet to do?
You can complain about night cappers
We can complain about morning cappers
Others can complain about afternoon cappers
Other can complain about evening cappers
Some have even complained about some countries having higher unemployment and so those people are playing all day and night!

Seriously where do you want it to stop? This is the nature of the game, and there isnt much anyone can do about it.

Nightcapping? BB have huge numbers during our nights. RS have around the same as AG.

Right now AG barely owns much on EB, and we own our half of our BL.

So what is all this about our nightcappers? Cos from the looks of it, your nightcappers have been busy as well. :P

This is a pretty old bug and it´s the same thing like the dolyaks that show up at a wrong location. If you´re using a “move towards target skill” you will jump to their true location and can finish them.

I dont think people are abusing this with some kind of trick. It´s just a bug and it happens a lot in big fights.

Anyone else getting the “bug” where you finish a downed enemy but they dont die?!

I’ve finished several downed enemies 4 times in a row and yet they are still alive regaining their health!

First Alt F4 and now this, do these players have no shame.

What about the Dredge, Ogres and Hylek camps which are missing in the EB one?

May be helpful to some but people already use some shortened names, Briar and Lake, Vale, north/south camp, HIlls, Bay.
And those who play WvW a lot dont really care if people call out Woodhaven when they really meant Longview, they know what they mean as they know which location they are talking about.

Wow, the defense of Bay on AG BL, man it seemed like BB just had an endless supply of players.

First wave was beaten, so 2nd wave comes in, whilst first wave made it’s way back and held back until 2nd wave was beaten, then 1st wave runs in whilst 2nd comes back. It was a huge ongoing seige!

But to find out you’ve been trying to take it for the last 10 hours :O

Some people say you can aim through the gap above the gate. I havent been able to do this expect with chucking a boulder through it with a cat.

And the other is gzoom i think it’s called. It’s an addon people are using, but of course addons are not allowed in GW2 and so it’s a hack.
Yet Anet have not been bothered to patch it yet I think, along with some of the more serious bugs; like when are orbs going to return to WvW?

we all know is not like that,we play as guild as dius do as judge do tda etc etc aurora is only a single big blob nothing more and this is my last reply because all know how we play and all know how arurora play,if someone want kill us with guild 20+ just roam and we met if u all prefer move as zerg we met for sure 1/2 time and we change border after no problem.Everyone choose how play,we prefer as guild u all as zerg(and culling) no problem your choice,we continue like that.

Funny that, how earlier in the night on Gandara BL, we were taking Lake with a few NP. I would say Gandara probably had a few more player but not many more.

XxX came in just before we capped it, yet as we were about to push back out you all jumped off the wall and ran away….I guess you lost the element of surprise as you were not able to take advantage of culling in that situation.

I think a lot of us are impressed you are able to stick together and run well as a group, even though XxX abuse the culling so much. But now that people are able to counter your attacks you come on here and start complaining???

I think that’s just the signs of a sore loser, I’d hate to see how you react when the WvW patch comes!

Was Gandara on a break last night? Were not many around and we were hoping for some good fights.

I wouldnt put GH down too much. You do have a pretty solid keep defense and making us work to capture them.

We’re a bit let down cos some of us didnt know that Xaoc split up, would have been a better match if they didnt.
