LOL you are joking right? Anet is doing as little as possible because more bots equals more copies of the game sold. I see far more bots now then I did when they first posted that sticky.
You have no idea how the botters and gold sellers work.
They don’t purchase copies of the game… what do you think happens to all of those accounts that are ‘hacked’? They are used to bot and spam gold selling messages in chat.
Try educating yourself before making such ridiculous statements.

And we have different servers for those who would rather not see these silly Americans and their silly words. I can’t imagine it’d be difficult for them to manage these name restrictions based on where in the world the server is.
That doesn’t matter because players can freely transfer to any server, so the name restrictions have to be global.
So, on server transfer, screen names and give name changes to character’s whose names don’t conform with that server’s restrictions. ‘s completely possible to do, I’m sure.

Yay! Crystal Desert is an awesome server… I love it and the people on it!
I remember getting that achievement by critting something for over 900k in CoE Story Mode.
But as far as actual skills goes for my Warrior, if I spec my traits for pure damage (aka “glass cannon”), and put on a full exotic Berserker’s set, including jewelry, I could crit around 20~28k with 100 Blades, maybe more depending on boons and conditions. Personally, I don’t like going glass cannon unless I’m farming or doing other solo activities.
Hundred Blades is a chain attack… OP asked about a single attack.
You need to learn how to Google better. I have never NOT been able to find any info I was looking for, and the only videos I watch are for jumping puzzles.

It’s not failing. The difference between this and other games is that the TP is global… not just server.
It’s totally worth it if you have a build and playstyle that emphasizes boons. In fact, there are some builds coupled with runes and such that allow you to have 100% uptime on some boons. Awesome.
We know you’re working on the Bot problem, but the main thread is locked …
And yet you are still compelled to make a post that will be locked and earn you an infraction.
I am level 80 and completely decked out in exotics, and I can’t find enough time to do all the things I want to do.
You sound so focused on getting ‘stuff’ from doing things… loot, gear, etc.
How about, oh I don’t know… having fun? Socializing? Enjoying the beautiful world they created?
Did I mention having fun? Grab a couple close buddies and do structured pvp and tournaments?
I will remember the first time I went to Divinity’s Reach.
Breathtaking.
The thing I like the most about the capital cities is that they are all very different from each other and also reflect very nicely their respective races culture.
My favorite is Divinity’s Reach… to me it’s the perfect representation of a fantasy Human city. It’s simply gorgeous.

Get some toughness.
Learn to dodge.
Legendaries are supposed to be hard to get, yet so many people want to make it easy.
Then they wouldn’t be special.

I guess you are one of those computer experts who think bugs can be fixed in a matter of minutes. The ‘Now’ generation at its best.
So you say you read the sticky but it doesn’t seem like you did. They explain what they are doing about it and that it takes TIME.

I love those things.
If you have a lot of condition removal abilities, you can trade some vitality for toughness.
Also, you have to be conscious of condition damage yourself… toughness does not mitigate it… vitality helps with that. So again, a mix of toughness and vitality is best.
I assume they do it so you can’t have ‘everything’. If you want to do a lot of damage, you have to sacrifice some defense, and vice versa…. tank vs. glass cannon, as it were.
With my warrior build, I didn’t want to be a glass cannon… sure I could pump out more damage, but a dead toon does zero damage.
So I put in a good mix of everything and am surprised how viable it is. I can dish out really good damage and I also have surprising survivability.
I think this is what they were going for… balance.
You can mix and match.
On my toon, all of my armor is pow-prec-tough… while all of my jewelry is pow-vit-cond dmg.
It provides a very nice mix, imo.

Crystal Desert:
1. Gained an early, minor lead in WvW.
2. A day or so later, suddenly started dominating WvW by an embarrassing amount.
3. After a week or so, was defeated by Jade Quarry allying with another server, using a server-wide TS hosted by a leet guild.
4. Crystal Desert has not had any success at WvW in the two weeks since then. Almost as if all the serious WvW’ers have left for another server. Hmmmm.
Yep, I am on Crystal Desert.
I can say for a fact there was collusion because you could see players from the 2 opposing servers working together against us… fighting us side by side.

They’re going to keep coming, too. The “official” thread about botting was closed, players are still up in arms about the blatant and pervasive botting, and ArenaNet doesn’t appear to be doing enough about it. Players will post, moderators will close, but the issue won’t go away until the botters go away.
There is a sticky at the top of the forum that explains why they don’t just ban on every report.
I really wonder why there are not several full time GMs by now who only deal with reports of botting instantly.
