Same here…. I am currently leveling a Guardian.. he is in the low 20’s now… and there are players everywhere in the starting zones.
It’s likely that this build will contain all of the Lost Shores content but we’ll see nothing when we log back in, then when the time comes they’ll ‘flip the switch’ for the content and it’ll all be available. After all, three stages of events happen during the ‘Lost Shores’, and they won’t keep bringing down the game for patching for every one of them, they release the builds in advance so everyone has a long time to download it (especially this one which is over 2GB!) and then activate it when the time is right.
Mine was only 42 mb.
They took out the phantom candy corn nodes.

Have you done some analysis with tracert (I think that’s the tool used to look at the hops.) That might help nail down where the problem is along the line.
Yes, I have jumped through all of the hoops they have listed regarding the error. As I said, for over 2 months I never disconnected until after they said they will be working on something on November 5th.
Devs, what the heck did you do on Nov. 5th?

Since launch day, I have had a rock solid connection. I NEVER disconnect, unless it’s a general thing that affects everybody.
But then on Monday night November 5th, you guys put a message in chat saying that you are will be working on something and that connections might suffer, then you put a patch through.
You were right.
For 2 days now, ever since that message, I am disconnected every 10-15 minutes with error code 7, making the game unplayable.
Please reverse whatever it is you did.
After the update my fridge which previously had been making square ice cubes started making round ice cubes,coincidence?I think not.

Yep, ever since last night when they said they would be working on stuff and we might experience connection issues, i have been disconnecting regularly… and never had a problem before.
I guess they are still ‘working’ on it.

Yeah but as stated already, drop rates surely aren’t client side and as such should not require big updates (if any at all infact).

What makes you think it would only be one file needing to be changed to update the drop rate? Perhaps all 8 of those files had to be adjusted for the new drop rate.

edit – as far as the size of the download… typically, even when a small change is made to a file, the whole file is re-downloaded with the changes included.
Guesting will make server mergers irrelevant. They need to hurry up and get the guesting function up and running and end free transfers.

This game is still ‘vanilla’. How about we wait for a couple expansions before we start comparing.
Maybe you should change servers… on my server there are always people spamming for dungeon groups.

I have read what they have said and have watched closely as the bots become larger and larger numbers…how long does it take to log in as a GM port to any heavily exploited DE point with lets say 5 bots or more and click BAN…..
Now back on topic….how many PEOPLE then? because I know several in my guild have also reported the same bots over and over and over…….

They said they have just hired a team dedicated to just this problem. They also said it takes time to make sure that it actually IS a bot. They have already made mistakes in banning people that were in fact NOT bots and had to reinstate their accounts.

As for taking TIME to make sure it is a bot…..give me a f@#$ break…my 7 year old can spot the bots in like 3 seconds…and if ANET is that confused that THEY have a hard time telling what a bot is and have made so many mistakes in banning legitimate players…then why would we seriously even believe their “GREAT BOT ANNIHILATION” stands a chance?
I doubt there are many in this community who actually play the game really believe that Anet can’t tell what is and is not a bot….just BS on Anet’s part and I bet most would agree….

I just went to Orr to a location that is favoured by botters.. i spotted a train of rangers with bears running in a circular path auto attacking everything around them..
I tried to talk to them got no reply… so yea total time between reading your post logging on finding the bott train and getting back here to reply = less than 8 minutes.

Because we are sick to the back teeth with them, they ruin our gaming experience, they ruin the events, they are ruining the economy, players feel they need to take their frustration somewhere and talking about it at least gives some release to that frustration. We are seeing the same characters day after day week after week, after being reported on more occasions than a dare count and they are still allowed to continue. Do you have any idea how much time and work it takes to make an event like the Mad King? It’s asking a lot to have that once a month… and let’s not talk about all the bugs that would have to be taken care of.

Probably because the character generator uses super high graphics settings, and your ‘after’ picture looks like it’s on pretty low settings.
It doesn’t scale with healing power… just a flat 30 hp/second.
They always post it a little bit after the patch. Patience.

I am not sure about this, but I think someone said you can transmute a white piece of armor with the skin, then give that to the toon you want and transmute again.
Not sure though.

10 copper per level of target crafting skill.
40 silver to switch to a maxed skill.
