If this is your first character, take your time… enjoy the zones, take it all in. Don’t be in any rush to level 80. Except for level-gated dungeons, you can pretty much do anything at low level that you can do at 80. Go into WvW if you want… you get upleveled to 80.

Enjoy the ride… you can only do it for the first time once.

Yes, there is a new boss there. It’s also there in overflow. Overflow is exactly the same as the ‘regular’ zone.

There is a new event in that zone and lots of people are going there to take part. Overflow is created when too many people go there. The zone is exactly the same as the regular zone.

Yeah, I went with all Soldier’s gear because I am new to WvW zergs and didn’t want to be rally bait. I figured that until I learned the class better that I would do well to be mostly front line support.

Thanks for the input on the condition cleanse, but what should I replace Quick Breathing with?

If you are going to go that low in crit chance, don’t bother with any zerker gear.

Take 10 from defense to get fast hands and break immob since hammer and sword both benefits from it.

Whoops, forgot to change the weapons from my last build… meant to have soldiers.

As for your other suggestion… I thought that Spiked Armor would be awesome since I want to be right in the thick of the fight. Would changing that be worth it?

It’s because the icon is annoying, especially if there are more than one running around.

I know this it’s why I try to keep it off when in cities but I don’t always remember to do so or sometimes I’m doing something (Like gathering guildies at my location). I don’t mean to annoy anyone there’s really no need to instantly start throwing hate at someone over it if you know what I mean?

It doesn’t annoy me when I see commander icons unless there’s literally dozens of them but when I’m the only one that has it on is there really any need for the hate? Just kindly remind the person they have it on and I’d apologies or explain why it’s on.

The only reason you need Ascended gear is to do the higher levels of Fractals. And it really is only the higher levels. I’ve heard of people getting up to at least level 10, which is more than enough to have seen each fractal at least once, without ever needing Ascended gear.

If you don’t intend to try and reach the higher levels of that dungeon then you can completely ignore Ascended gear, and the only reason to try and reach the higher levels is to get Ascended gear more easily. So in other words it’s grind for the sake of grind for those who want it and everyone else can just ignore it and play as normal.
