Trolling and kitten aside though i’m pretty interested to see how the new match time will affect reset pop. Last reset I know that was the cause of a lot of sadtimes.

I REALLY wanted to try out the SAB and get some of the skins but I’m stuck on a PC incapable of running GW2 since just before April, and my new PC got delayed so it taken a few weeks to arrive after ordering; it’ll arrive (ironiclly) on the 30th.

It’s frustrating to have to miss out awesome looking content due to arbitrary time limits just because someone will get upset if they have to share their weapon skin with more than 3 other people on the planet. GW2 needs to feel like it’s growing and that means adding new content that is here to stay

It’s not like you need remove the content to keep the rewards unique. Star Trek Online does a similar thing, and when the “event” phase is over, the content stays in, but the unique rewards are replaced with generic rewards

If this happens to you in tier 7 what will it be like in tier 6…? I really do think SF is a t7 server. The fact that so-called “wvw guilds” on NSP barely put any buff on DISGUST me. Switching? So switching to other guilds that never put buffs on make such significant difference! I assumed that you, being a commander, should know about the important of eb keep as a reinforcement center, but… ehh, well, I guess you don’t.

Please chill, I am not solely blaming TFG for doing this. I am blaming most of the wvw guilds on this server.

Since you want to call out the entire server, sir, allow me to further enlighten you how upgrades work in a guild.

Influence

Guild Upgrades for keeps is not something they can just turn on at any given time. It is a one use deal, that when activated has an active time of 12 hours. They can’t queue multiple Supply Upgrades and immediately pop another after the first has run out.

Also, see how those upgrades cost 200 influence. That’s only to get the upgrade started in the guild queue. After that it takes 16 hours before the upgrade can be used at a claimed keep. Even with a Guild Workshop, the max upgrades any guild can have queueing at one time is two unless they use Contract Asuran Outsourcing, which allows one upgrade to begin building without taking a queue slot. Contract Asuran Outsourcing takes 30 hours to build.

Every guild is trying to work up through the Guild Events to do Bounties, Rushes, Challenges, and Puzzles. Each of those unlocks takes a week to build, which uses up one of those valued queue slots in the build queue.

Also, if you want to argue they can just use influence to speed up the process…a 200 Influence supply upgrade costs 500 Influence just to progress it 25%. Guilds need to build influence so they can hope to unlock the new Guild Content.

So please, next time you want to call out the entire server or its contributing guilds on such a complicated issue, I suggest you do some research first.

Pugs calling out WvW guilds, love it. As far as my guild goes, we have a couple hundred K influence spare, but like most other WvW guilds you typically don’t just pop your buffs all over the place especially if you think you might be switching maps and not sitting in keeps all night.

Would be a good addition as it would encourage more hard core players to get more.

Would be nice to get an actual Dev response in this thread. Seems appropriate as the request isn’t unreasonable.

When a server wins at wvw, the hardcore players get sick of queues and many others simply get bored. Then they all transfer to the next up-and-coming wvw superstar server to feel good about stomping lower population servers until they hit their peak. The cycle continues……….

I don’t see a problem with this especially since you can farm 100 gold much more quickly or instantly vs 10k badges takes time and space. More than reasonable imo. Good post.

Can someone link the most OP build they can think of please? I’m mainly looking for something that doesn’t require me to make use of team work or communicate and will be so disgustingly overpowered that my enemies will vomit all over there keyboard before they have a chance to react to me. I have no legendary, nor will I ever. I am simply a firm believer that PvE players should not be forced into PvP, and PvP players should not be forced into PvE.

I really dont like this Wow mentality to GW2.

Forget PvE and PvP and think about doing epic achievements to obtain your legendary. GW2 is based around Dungeons, Fractals and WvW so it only makes sense that every one of those r included as requirements to obtain that legendary.

Legendary weapons should only be weilded by players who have proven themselves in ALL parts of GW2. Its like a badge of honour to showoff that ur a great GW2 player and u have put in alot of time and effort… therefore u DESERVE the legendary weapon.

If u dont like part of GW2 and u refuse to make any effort to participate in that part then im afraid u dont deserve that legendary weapon. Go play Wow where many of their legendaries demand zero skill and effort cos they r a random drop off a boss.

Anet got it right to ensure that their legendaries cannot be obtained by fluke or by lazy players. Theyre obtained by loyal players who have continued to play their game

Well deserved thread.

Imo just being able to active commander needs to be something that the guild should have to research. And even then there should be slots for commanders that need to be researched. This would force guilds to really think about who is representing them and cut down on individuals buying it just as a collection piece. Commander is a group tool there really is no reason why individuals should be allowed to spend 100g and circumvent the aid/approval of others.

For the lower half this is absolutely true. Imo take fixed points from t1 every week and inject it into t8. That will eventually get things into a fixed range.

Regardless just as they had in Aion you should have an option to display people WvW ranks. I don’t see the benefit in keeping that secret.

I think something you need to realize is that no server on NA had medium pop. So no free server transfers were given, SF kicking some kitten has nothing to do with the free transfers

SF kicking “kittens” has everything to do with Anet adjusting the points in Tier 8 – and only Tier 8. If it had been an across the board adjustment, I’m certain that it would have been looked at differently. However, since it was not, evidence would suggest that the louder one whines the faster the devs respond. GG.

Would be nice to see terrain have a bigger part in WvW as well. It’s not non-existant, but it does seem to be largely ignored by the zerg.

Healers seem to get shafted in terms of pvp rewards like this in alot of mmo’s. So far though anet has come up with some pretty good and out of the box fixes for very conventional problems.
