I’m going to try to avoid stereotyping a entire server by the action of a few bad apples. I will simply call out XOXO for being immature and unsportsmanlike in every single encounter this week. You /joined us once just to complain about us ‘bringing 10 people’ (they were randoms) to a control point. You spam emotes and corpse jump constantly. You act like you want a duel, then gank whoever bites with your guild ( a big difference from randoms showing up). You run from even fights and only attack empty BLs. I’m not even mad at this point, just disappointed that there are still people who act like this in WvW.

You embarrass your entire server.

Can you please describe these individuals. I will deal with them personally. They will be punished. Our guild rep means the world to us.

I too would like to know the names of these individuals, I don’t wish to call them out I just want to write about it in my diary. It’s just hard for me to beleive that XOXO would do this to NSP knowing how many of us care deeply about our reputation in the matchup threads. Idk I guess I just expected more you you XOXO, I’m not angry, i’m just…disappointed.

I’d rather they take 1 of the 4 living story teams and have them work on something that matters and get less trash temp content. Such as idk, guild infrastructure, gvgs, alliances etc.

What do you even mean? You didn’t make any arguments yourself. Why do you want this? What would it improve? What would it change? Why? And based on your post, the “Why” must be:

Everyone who plays in WvW must be a mindless blue icon following zergling or they need to be removed. Only my style of play should be acceptable. Anyone who spends 100g should be able to kick someone from the map, because you can do it in PVE. However to make this fair, the WvW servers will somehow calculate which people are allowed to Command. Using magic, because this is a 24/7 game in which players are constantly coming and going. There isn’t enough blobbing and zerging, I demand that everyone zergs. You guys should feel lucky that I didn’t go with my original thoughts, that if you don’t join a Commander’s squad, your game automatically uninstalls itself. Never mind the fact that if there ISN’T a Commander online, WvW would be unplayable. Ignore the man behind the curtain. Aliens.

This right here is always the debate in games like this. Depending on how Arena net handles this issue will determine larger the type of playerbase they retain. Personally I disagree with you. Simple fact is some people are more useful in WvW.

It’s just a tag and some abilities to help you lead groups that you buy for 100 gold… you don’t really get to tell anybody else what to do. If somebody is telling you to tag down or to follow them instead of asking politely and providing a reason, you will probably better off not listening to them anyway.

If you can’t finish these achievements, possibly with the exception of the SM cap depending on your server, then it’s not a game or metric issue its a" You clearly do not have time to play this game issue." I am finished with these achievements and it was about 20 hours of gameplay, much of that was not with huge groups just 10 of us messing around having a good time. 20/7= 3 hours per week.

The example given is pretty ridiculous thats a 100% ideal situation inside of a keep. No it’s not too much, coordinated teamplay trumps stats in this game.

WvW Season 1 is going to run for 7 weeks, or 49 days. This means we have to get one world rank every day for 7 weeks. The only people who will be able to attain this are regular WvWers, the same ones who are in dedicated WvW guilds. Please be a bit more reasonable with how much gameplay is required, 10 or 20 WXP ranks would be fine, 50 is overboard.

This is from the perspective of a casual WvW player, I have rank 30 on my Guardian and probably rank 50 or so across all my characters. I enjoy WvW a lot and it’s fun to strategize on voice chat (especially in small havoc teams) but I don’t know if I’m hardcore enough for this. ):

I got this in 20 hours, not straight, this includes sleep and real life etc. Just stop with these threads. These achievements are beyond casual, I will have everysingle one done before the end of the first weekend, yet I am not on forums screaming about: OMG DOOD ADD MOAR POINTS. Just farm the 15 you can handle or run with people that are actually organized.

Mend Had fun farming NSP for a short while in SM. Os is smarter then BP and DB guilds though it seems and learned to send more then one mesmers in :p

Mend also had fun Farming CD endlessly with then 70+ in hills. Fell for the same tricks almost every time.

Been back to back fights this week, it’s a nice change from the week before. Hopefully it keeps up.

To note: CD is in the lead. If you attack the 2nd place team, you are just letting them get further in the lead. The idea is for 2nd and 3rd to attack 1st, not to fight each other so 1st can build up an unbeatable lead.

I respectfully diasgree, IOJ drop rates(so far) seem to be similiar if not identical to CD drop rates. Will post data later this week.

Read the new update for the overflow WvW map. Sounds like a terrific idea. One issue though is that it appears you have to be in a WvW focused guild in order to participate.

Now here is my issue. On SoR, there is a server teamspeak, and “pugs” are allowed to join it and listen in on any commander their following, whether you’re in the guild or not. This is an awesome idea by the “leaders of WvW” for our server. Because of this, and because I’m not entirely WvW focused (but PvX), I’m in a guild that is generally PvX. I’m in a guild that has around 130 members online at a time, and we do everything, but are more PvE orriented.

However, I do WvW often. It’s part of the game, and again, I do everything.

Does this mean that, despite being a WvW player, I’m exluded from doing any type of “stress testing” or will there be an application to sign up as someone that roams the map, or follows guilds in WvW but are not in the guild?

As an active WvW player, I’d like to participate, but I’m a bit nervous that I cannot unless I ditch my guild and join a WvW guild that is constantly in it. Guilds aren’t the only thing in WvW…

Guilds aren’t the only thing in WvW, but WvW is not about roamers or individuals regardless of who they are. WvW is about the server and the team. The best representation of that is indeed organized bodies that collaborate to make something bigger.

I’m sorry to hear that, despite your massive coverage advantage over similarly-tiered servers and blatant cheating/point inflation scheme with SoR you weren’t able to take advantage of your best-case-scenario match up against SoR and obtain a Gold League/Varsity position.

However, I’d like to congratulate you on the wonderful consolation prizes you have won with your JV placement!

1) A massive influx of even more bandwagoners and fairweathers!

2) Endless hours of 24/7 PvD fun!

3) Loss of those rare and pesky “skilled” SBI players who will be transferring to a server that offers greater competition!

4) A finisher!!!!

Good luck in your Silver/JV endeavors SBI, and I hope you can continue to be a shining example of skillful and fair play for the rest of the GW2 community!

Disagree with #3, you should not be able to transfer WXP from character to character without a heavy penalty. So Liquid WXP dropping and even being buffed is cool but not 100% WXP conversion. People should not be able to have farm characters to then transfer there points.

1. Guild Infrastructure
2. Guild Incentives/leaderboards for stuff that actually matters.
3. Alliance Infrastructure
4. GvG that is cross server. Has 1 or 2 dedicated days to ensure queues are met and are rated in the same glicko system of servers.
5. Guild Halls that have multiple levels so that the highest level isn’t achievable by casual guilds that are really glorified friends lists.

Not in that order specifically, but there all very important to the longevity of GW2. Casuals bring in the money because of an attachment to the community that hardcore/dedicated players create and maintain. BOTH groups need to be enabled, not one over the other.

I agree I honestly think its kittened that you can buy them on the AH, IMO it just devalues there meaning.

If you play with an organized team it wouldn’t matter if you got “zerged” because the other team would lose. Zerging in Spvp works against bad teams.

I especially agree with your last bullet. I do not think achievements are a bad thing just because they encourage pvers into WvW, however they should more as you say be aligned with constructive play.

The Ranger is the only class I enjoy playing in GW2 yet the GW2 WvW community and ANet just want to promote their trinity system of Hammer Warriors (Damage, utility) and Hammer Guardians (Healing, Utility, Support), Staff Necromancers ( Condi spamming, Damage, Utility) and Staff Elementalists (Healing, Support, Utility) down my throat because they are the easiest, no brain professions to play in WvW zerging. Therefore, I have lost interest in this game almost completely. There is nothing fun about playing a game mode that only benefit 4 cookies cutters builds.

I play a Hammer Guardian and Warrior too in WvW and it is so boring and routine that I rather play Mortal Combat 2 for its deep and complexity over these two cookie cutter face roll professions.

Players that are moving or have moved to serious T1 servers be warned that if you don’t play the cookie cutter build that the top guilds have come up with (which are all the same IMHO), you are going to have a horrible experience being forced to play the viable professions and builds even if you are not in these guilds but run with them.

To be honest, GW2 is not going in a good direction with these WvW leagues: let face it, WvW leaders want to win fights and they rather have 30 players of the most viable professions and I don’t blame them. If you play on T1 servers as Ranger, Thief or Engineers you will be forces into the Ruins because that is where zerg leaders will put you if they are having a bad day and need a scapegoat or have you sit in a tower all day long.

NSP is stronger than Kaineng. Any NSP that thinks Kaineng is stronger after their recent mass exodus is either misinformed (innocent enough) or making excuses for wanting to be a bandwagoner.

NSP your boredom in bronze would be much greater than your frustration in silver.

Also ironically if you manage to tank and stay in bronze, it’s tearing apart your server and you may not even end up being the top dawg. I don’t envy your position.

Honestly I don’t think they should ever give Wxp resets. Forces people to actually think and do research and punishes them for being careless.

I agree that glory should have more options, but this is a terrible idea. No more does this make sense than me having a lot of wxp automatically getting glory.
