This is a pretty good topic to cry about. I think the actions of giving out more WXP and allowing you to buy it indicates that even the devs know they messed up here.

And sadly, I think the motivation is PR and to avoid people calling it a grind. An upward curved system like every other game that does this would have been more alt-friendly AND allowed individual progression… but they were afraid because people would say it’s a “grind”. (Because of course, those abilities are so awesome you need them to compete…)

I think that most people logically would rather buff something over time until it feels right rather than introduce constant nerfs. Also I think allowing you to buy it may be more about removing badges introduced from achievement chests not increasing wxp rates. And sadly I think many people would agree with you that its a grind. Despite the fact that a level 0 character can contribute equal amounts to a team with a few vets on it.

I find it comical that they think they can get away with this. It’s the 21st century there DNA is all over the place, they’ll never get a way with it.

I really wish there was some limitation on who could create threads. Forums is just this type of crying all day.

Here’s an idea, if you want a challenge (you seem like you don’t) go and knock on Ebays keep for a change. They’re hardly doing any better than we are, but #1 picking on #3 EVERY SINGLE DAY is pretty lame for someone with as huge win margin as you have right now.

Personally I agree with that decision on the part of the moderators. Bird really influenced PPT a little too heavily for NSP and for me at least it really too the skill out of gaining forum PPT. At least now on NSP when we win a forum match up we can say it’s because of pure forum warrioring skill.

What were doing right now is part of it. Basically how it works is you make posts in the match-up thread and then Devon reads it over and assigns PPT based on factors such as: good points, overly emotional posts that are barely relevant and e-(that word that we must apparently not utter for fear of kitten censorship) size. The key to victory i’ve learned is to make sure that you always have the last word because otherwise people won’t know your good or rather more importantly that your right. I just wish NSP could get more participation in this thread our PPT could use it.

Please keep in mind that when discussing a server, you are talking about the WvWer’s on that server not the Pvers. Pvers really have no server because they are not penalized for bouncing around.

If you can’t finish these achievements, possibly with the exception of the SM cap depending on your server, then it’s not a game or metric issue its a" You clearly do not have time to play this game issue." I am finished with these achievements and it was about 20 hours of gameplay, much of that was not with huge groups just 10 of us messing around having a good time. 20/7= 3 hours per week.

Also alliances didn’t ruin WvW. Extending free transfers from 2 weeks in to 6 months in did. That created the initial imbalance that then led to even more bandwagoning.

Good idea, then only 10% of the games actions will actually count towards PPT, hence it will cease to mean anything.

I think that once Season 2 begins and we have the new Edge of the Mists map to avoid WvW queues then we’ll all be having fun in the 6 gold tier servers for wvw.

WTB more bonus chests personally, we have to work to unlock them anyways and most of them yield little to nothing.
