I don’t see the problem at all, its afk easy to do this for 2 characters. If your complaining about not being able to FULLY gear 5 characters to the teeth without work idk. Also assuming that your in a real guild you don’t buy earings with laurels and globs, you buy them with commendations. I suggest Facebook games.

I agree. If they decide not to have a way to compensate players for past rewards(aside from badge gear), that will only further the feeling by WvW players that we are largely neglected.

Its a shame to see NSP move down, you guys could have put up more of a fight, I’ve seen it (even after you lost alot of your night crew) its kinda sad to see you guys give up to move down. I don’t mean that as an insult, I really did enjoy fighting NSP they have more character then BP. As much as ppl hate them/talk kitten about them PAXA was always fun fights and I wish it was 10 years ago when I had a 8/5 man and time to fight on a regular basis. Hope you guys find some small man fights in T7.

The rest of NSP will be missed as well, TCMM I never really figured out why you left but I’m sure you had your reasons and I wish you all the best, had a good time for the most part running with you all before you jumped ship ;p.

OS, I don’t really know any of you, I generally run solo due to time constraints but the few times I have fought several of you it was fun and I didn’t mind giving you some loots because there was no emoting that I can remember after said murder.

All in all, as much of a troll as I can be, you will be missed and I wish you all the best regardless of claiming that the red BL was yours and not AR’s secondary BL. \

Not all of our guilds gave up this week, but unfortunately there were some that did which compounded how bad this week was to begin with. Was definitely some good fights in this tier, had a lot of fun.

Quick props to PAXA! Those fights were fun yesterday!

We were 4-5 solo roamer partied together so our team work was pretty much inexistant, but I think we had some good fight.

And why the Hate for me! I’m not 100nade anymore, stop focus firing me during fights! Stop picking on the weak guy engineer that just got nerfed.

Your thief especially hate me I think.

And stop using AoE invis already, each time we are like : “Oh well back up the culling attack is coming” !

Please do not take the opinions of less than 1% of NSP to be an accurate rendition of our entire servers attitude, it makes little sense. And yes, it is a shame.

A simple fix to this would be that the further a server moves in score(not tier) away from 1500 the more their score is auto adjusted. This doesn’t have to and shouldn’t be by a large amount. For every 100 points away from 1500 you lose/gain 1-3 rating points per week for example. The effect of this would be that after weeks of endless draws and identical matches you would have a chance at fighting different servers. If this happens and your not an even match for those servers then they simply floor you or you floor them.

You know what was really messed up? On Fort Aspen, we were stomping the opposition and had dragonbrand’s keep in EB (it’s fairly irrelevant, so I’m not going to QQ about this part) – they forced a restart and by the time we got back in and the whole way across the map the keep was taken.

Then SMC fell – and there were never even white swords. I was watching it on the map religiously because it was the next logical strategic move, and I stayed within site of one of the gates, scouting and watching my map. Not a blip. No orange swords. No white swords. Just switched.

More changes like this would be nice, but I debate the effects of specifically what the OP has suggested. All in all though I think we can all agree that us waiting half a year to be PAR with PVERs is ridiculous(Ascended gear).

No. This is a change that actually encourages less zerging and more strategic play. I don’t know how anyone in their right mind could suggest this. Get organized and spread out, stop crutching on map icons you don’t need.

This problem will fix itself eventually. These people have no loyalty and will eventually just leave GW2 for the next shiny OMG-inducing wowkiller.

Well, today I turned up to jormag event with the rest of the guild, and there were about 10 commanders chilling there with a nice zerg, while our BL was turning to cheese. Should’ve gotten a screenie.

PvE is all the rage now, so much rare drops Not to mention the guild missions. Fun stuff. Wvw gonna take a back seat for a while.

Maybe all that PvEing and rare loot will help you guys win next week?

Huge step in the right direction. Now if we can get something that would reward healers/buffers for supporting players that kill other players then that would seal the deal. Lack of appreciation for support classes is a chronic issue in most MMO’s but Anet thus far has fixed quite a few common issues. I look forward to the next patch.

The funny thing is AR is arrogant enough to believe they control this match and what happens to NSP. When the reality is, that it is actually BP who does. BP focusing efforts on AR today shows that in spades. Hard to pvdoor NSP’s map when BP stops focusing on our EBG and pressures AR’s BL.

The airship addition could originate from our spawn and operate like a break-out event. with the exception that it would fly to a random enemy structure on a map and operate as a waypoint for a very brief time. Basically Dredgion for those who played Aion.

Well, although it wasn’t you Rob, there were a few calling out AR for the last weeks match. I’m sure they managed to kitten off quite a few people on AR which in turn means some individuals who may have taken the insults to heart will do whatever they can to crush NSP because of the ignorance of a few.

I’m just assuming this is the case, I can’t actually confirm it, but in the future maybe those that were spouting crap should try and refrain or accept what happens next.

I have a screenshot from a prominent AR commander stating that I was the sole reason why BP and AR were working together this week to attack NSP. Sadly, people don’t want the truth to come out, and It will get reported immediately as character assassination/personal attack if I were to post it again.

I think you are really looking past the point though. I really hate to be humble or modest or whatever you want to call it, but do you honestly think that I have the ability to irritate so many people, or is this a matter of what is wrong with the many people that got so upset over what I said?

In reality, this is a game, and for me to get the reaction that I did from stating facts, is quite absurd. If any of the people that got upset are classified as leaders, they should be embarrassed by their representation of that server. Personally, if I were on a server and there were leaders were to give that big of a reaction, I would most likely leave entirely out of embarrassment of having them represent in such a way on the official forums.

The only thing that so far has been proven this week is that everything I had said last week was completely true.

Phase one was last week, rest our troops make them hungry for WvW.

You spent a week running your mouth, which only made Phase 2 easier.

Phase 2, concentrate on attacking one opponent.

Now, there were lots of us who really wanted to do this to BP instead of NSP. But for the past 4 weeks, every single time we take the fight to BP 2 things happen.

-NSP’ roaming guilds, PAXA , ENVY, SEKS , show up and start poking our flanks which made us have to fight on two fronts and cut our operations short.

-NSPs WvW guilds would show up and start hitting us on another map, making us have to decide between attacking BP or defending our are….two fronts and cut our operations short.

Take a note from BP this week. They are staying out of our way.

In short. before last week, nobody ever heard of you. After this week (NSP should be dropped to T7) nobody will care about you. AR focusing on NSP is much bigger than one person. We may use your forum antics as a means of motivating some folks, but the majority of us are playing for bigger stakes than putting some forum troll in his place.

Just like any other MMO in the history of gaming. Bigger OR more serious guilds are capable of more things than smaller OR less serious ones. This argument that small guilds can’t benefit as much is ridiculous. There are many people in my guild with well over 1k gold. They didn’t get that because there in a big guild they got it because there serious, dedicated, organized players. If you have a “small” guild of 5-10 of such players this would be incredibly easy for you to research even WITHOUT buying influence. All the complaining in this thread is basically, “I want instant gratification” and “I don’t want to have to work for anything that requires more than 5-10 other people that play casually”.

I am elated that something now exists in this game that actually provides incentive for people to be in large OR serious guilds rather than small/casual ones. I hope more content for large/serious guilds is released in the future in order to keep them here. To those that are saying you need massive amounts of people to arm influence no thats not true though yes you do need to have a plan/approach, and to those that said O well my guild didn’t do X and X; that is entirely your guilds fault, you should have planned better or join a better guild. Also to the PvEr’s that are upset about Art of War lvl 5. The best way to make influence is PVE, the best way to make money is PVE, the ONLY way to get ascended gear is PVE. I’ll end my post here before the infractions start rolling in.

Least paid, least rewarded, least in depth, etc. List goes on and on. STILL waiting for them to actually balance content as was promised and allow us to get ascended via WvW. At the rate their going there should be Guild Missions for WvW just in time for GW3.

I can add a lot more, but at the moment I don’t see much of a point as it seems like Anet is primarily concerned with making the game a theme park for those who want instant gratification and less concerned with providing actual community tools. I really hope this guild issue gets taken more seriously and soon.

As for coattails, like I’ve already mentioned, in a 3 way battle double teaming will happen. Like Rob said, its rare that a cyclical karma train happens, because CO’s see easy points, and they would be irresponsible not to take advantage of them.

I don’t even want to prove you wrong because this is exactly what I wanted. Acceptance and admittance of what has been done.

My rebuttal is, it would be irresponsible not to take advantage of the easy points, but it is even more irresponsible to take advantage of the easy points that only get you to 2nd place, and allow another server to take the win.

It is also irresponsible not to take advantage of the attacking server by hitting them when they are preoccupied with their attack, it then keeps the fight more interesting, and bases the matchups more on skill and coordination rather than taking advantage of a server that has to defend themselves on two fronts and turning it into PvD.

The reason why people from NSP say that AR is unskilled is because in the past few weeks, we have only seen AR be the server that spreads the standings. They secure 2nd, allow 1st to rocket to the top, and have 3rd drop way down. Right now we are at a 20k difference between servers because of AR’s irresponsiblity. If AR actually attacked BP then they may have been in 1st because it wasn’t a huge point spread, but like I keep saying, AR is only comfortable coming in 2nd.

NSP has outplayed AR by actually fighting for 1st place, we didn’t succeed, but we sure kept it tight for as long as we could. AR secured 2nd and then went nowhere from there. That is how NSP outplayed AR this week, we actually put forth our own effort, an effort that was effective enough to have BP come at us with all that they had in order to put us down.

I’m sorry. Are you high? I defy you to give a single example of a closer matchup in the entire NA tier system right now. Better yet, I outright call you out to prove there has been a closer matchup than these three servers regardless of NA or EU tiers for the past 4 weeks.

Find a single match up there that was closer than AR/BP/NSP for the past 4 weeks. Those are all the scores for the matches. I’m telling you to back up your claims with facts and numbers instead of talking out of your kitten for once. Find a single match that has been closer, or more competitive, or more evenly matched.

Look at the overall rank points even. NSP and AR have gone up in rank every week in this match up, while BP has gone down. The overall point difference between 1st and 3rd in our tier is less than 70 points.

Don’t think that you can argue to me about point spreads and blame AR for not trying, kid. You’re complaining about a 20k point spread? (overall spread is actually 40k, but I guess I shouldn’t be counting on you to do your math correctly at this point)

Tier 8 has to deal with a 260k point spread. Tier 1 has to deal with a 80k point spread. Hell, the closest tier to us has a 50k point spread. The numbers are on my side.

20k point spread between each server means a 40k point spread, same statement just different wording, and before yesterday it was what a total spread of 12k points? The difference between first and second was a 2k point spread. That is close, 20k is a whole day worth of points and AR essentially screwed themselves from getting a very very highly obtainable 1st and they screwed NSP from getting a 2nd. This matchup could have gone literally any way if AR weren’t irresponsible in the way they chose who to attack in the past 2 days, but now it’s just the same as every week because you were content with only coming in 2nd place.

I still stand by my statement that NSP outplayed AR, we kept it closer than you have ever been able to, and the only reason why it was opened up is because of the irresponsibility of AR in attacking NSP to secure a 2nd place “victory” for themselves.

I’ll be posting my 15 pages of 2 cents on this but until then what i’m suggesting from Arenanet is:
-We need a way to export roster log data. We do not need you to enable or create add ons, we just need a system like Aion had for guild roster viewing
-There needs to be separate kick and invite permissions. Every other MMO has had this and its easy to see why.
-More than 10 ranks should be allowed. Even Cabal had this.
-Last online needs a column in roster tab. We can’t see this but we can see achievement points? Really?
-The roster information needs to be delivered in a consistent and accurate format.
-There needs to be more of a reason to join a WvW guild so that its not pugorama in the mid tiers.
-Their needs to be an option to lock multi-guilding and server transfers while in a guild.
-The current gold cap per tab of 1000G is beyond ridiculous its way too small and I don’t see a need for a cap at all.
-Content that WvW guilds can excel at without shafting their WvW time needs to be released. At the rate were getting WvW ascended options it should be 2014 before we see WvW guild quests follow the PVE ones.
-When content that can seriously affect guilds is planned to be released, the information should be released with ample time for them to prepare/schedule for it.
-Guild housing needs to have many tiers and options. some may be cosmetic but many should be meaningful and perhaps even require permanent choices to be made in order to increase the value of guilds. Example: Have a guild with a max level guild hall choose between minor permanent WvW buffs or minor permanent PvE buffs. The max level of these halls should be prohibitively expensive in order to really set apart these guilds and to discourage non serious guilds/players from investing in it(1000G+ for the final tier). Also upkeep for high level halls needs to factored into this. Perhaps a lack of upkeep simply suspends guild buffs but does not degrade the structure.

This is what I have for now, but I hope other guild masters or concerned players can post feedback as well. I currently enjoy this game, but am extremely disappointed with the guild support thus far. At the moment it so much more expensive to be a WvW guild then any other kind and this was one of the main selling points of the game prior to release.

They are extremely ineffective as is. There needs to be a general section for posts that apply to all servers and then a subsection for each server. That way people(and guilds) can be more granular in there search. This is something that would make that section a lot more useful than it is right now and takes minimal work to implement. Considering these are professional forums I don’t understand why this isn’t so already.

This massively uneven situation we are in is largely the fault of three months of free transfers which allowed server hoppers to grossly imbalance the fights. As the servers are locked/cost money the cost influx of new players and people quitting will help to balance this over time. Another factor to consider is that assuming the game gains in popularity the addition or more servers would help balance even more.

I feel it has relevance.
