According to someone on reddit, they just logged on and nothing is there for them either, nor was it ever there.
Got an error report and kicked me out. Now everything looks normal.
Any way to get the bobble heads back? :l
Logging did not help
The content that they have talked about in the blogs is great, but honestly, I love the blog system.
I think one of the biggest aspects that GW2 is missing is player to developer conversations. These blogs that offer a bit of insight as to what to expect really make you feel a part of something greater.
Not all updates are as large as this upcoming April one, of course, but I would love it if the blogs kept coming.
So thank you, ANet.
Simply curious.
I try to play daily, at least for a few hours. I am part of a very small and close guild that does daily dungeons. It feels more like a conversation than a grind.
So I am not bored. But I could see being bored with the game without this social aspect.
What are the mindsets of everyone else? I am very interested, as while I am not the biggest fan of the Living Story ending at all, I am not as angry as everyone else on the forums.
This is a dumb question, but you can’t turn a lesser vision crystal into a standard one in any way, right?
I have all the needed items to make a weapon, except for the dragonite. And any way to cut down the needed dragonite would just make me the happiest of campers.
But it probably is not possible. Just checking though.
Thank you for the responses everyone!
I made this thread before I looked up the color of its skin. I will probably be making a Zojja weapon and transmuting the Magi skin onto it.
Because that white ascended skin is wonderful.
RNG “blessed” me with a Magi weapon chest. And I reaaally do not want to waste it.
I have every class maxed except mesmer and ele. Is there ANY use that I can get out of this?
Because magi…
Though I have been thinking of making an ele if that is any consolation

With the destruction of LA, I am curious where everyone headed.
The obvious answer seems The Vigil. That is certainly where I go, normally. Though I have gone to Ebonhawke often as well.
I am particularly interested as Anet was apparently keeping an eye on where everyone went.
So, if LA is never rebuilt to the convenience that it once was, and the Vigil stops being the convenient location it is currently, where do you go?

Dude, you don’t understand.
He’s hardcore.
So that means that he is what, Wolf rank right? I always forget if thats the hardcore one or if the Mountain Lion is.
I’ve always thought Deer were very hardcore animals.
Personally – a more important question to ask is what part of the current area content could be used for this new dragon?
Because if there is already an obvious answer, that will be the answer chosen over a completely new map.
Though I am VERY for a new area.

What about helseth’s thief bunk build. No kidding but I think right now it might be almost as good as bunk guard
Interesting. I am, unfortunately, having issues locating this. Might you have a link?
How very interesting. I have very little experience with spirit ranger either. Might have to give it a try.
But it seems Guardian might be the better of choices, regardless.
I am curious what the most effective bunker class might be? I have tried engi, guardian, and warrior. At the moment, and until they nerf healing signet, I find warriors to be very powerful bunkers. But I loved guardian as well. Engi did not seem very comparable to the other two, but I am very curious about the opinion of the forum!

Constantly losing connection to the server?

Posted by: OptimistPrime.9283
I have never had this problem before. But I am constantly (Once every 5 minutes at least). As well as messages popping up saying “can’t connect to log in at this time”. And it ONLY happens in the new patch content.
This is incredibly frustrating as it is very unexpected for my computer.
Any thoughts?
I doubt this will be a one time event. It will most likely open with a story instance like the Nightmare Tower and then you enter the map that will be in the midst of battle.
This way, no matter what time you go into the map you’ll first be prompted with that Story Instance and see the invasion in all it’s glory.
I certainly hope so! If I cannot be there for the first drop, I will certainly look forward to seeing it when I can.
I know there is no way of knowing specifics, but I am simply curious.
If we follow the general times of other big patches, what time are we hypothesizing?
I get out of work at 2pm est, and would haaate to miss it.
We will probably find our new “hub” being the Vigil for now, but I reaaaally do not want it.
I want players to be scattered in the racial cities.
Ok I give. I didn’t want to resort to that, because I wanted to create this topic anyway. Better?
No, it’s not better. You don’t create duplicate topics “just because you want to”.
Not only is it unnecessary, annoying, splits the topics, but it is also against the forum rules and can lead to your posting rights being removed. Creating another thread for something that has been discussed for well over a year adds nothing, does nothing and is completely useless.Hey…..
It’s not your fault.
Aaand, show’s over folks, move along and wait for the topic to be locked.
Absolutely not.
A.) We have swiftness. Not only that, but we have incredibly readily accessible swiftness.
B.) Going along with swiftness, we have maps that are “small”, meaning we can get from point A to point B without waypoints in less than 5 minutes. A second if you use a waypoint. Mounts are necessary for games like WoW where there are no waypoints, so you HAVE to walk.
C.) Towns being cluttered with MORE things just sounds terrible, both aesthetically as well as technologically.
D.) We have tonics already that can do anything you want via minigames already. Think of beetleracing in GW1. Why would we ever need to actually ride an animal to race? It is conceptually a waste of time.I do not see the point of it.
Because transforming into a hoverboard with no rider would be ridiculous? Not every mount has to be an animal.
There is no NEED for a hoverboard. The witch’s broom fit, conceptually, with the theme of Halloween. We didn’t get sleighs during Wintersday.
It is honestly a waste of time and resources
Ah yes because necessity is all there is. The game doesn’t NEED new zones, and we don’t NEED new weapon and armor skins. We don’t really NEED this game, period. Who NEEDS more fun anyway, right?
Yep

I do not see the point of it.
There are sexual differences in the races
The only difference between a male charr and a female charr is the face, tail and fur. Everything else is exactly the same. Same goes with asura.
So what you are saying is that you are disappointed with the fact that there are very little differences between the sexes of the races of Charr and Asura.
The Charr being very physical, where sex matters little. A warrior is a warrior regardless of sex.
The Asura being very mental, where sex matters little. A genius is a genius regardless of sex.
I am not seeing a problem here.
Wait, what? I have the first set from one of my characters (a character I don’t even have anymore). They make shiny trophies since they are still bound to that character. What is this account bound upgrade you speak of?
as Zaxares said. Since you deleted the character, you won’t be able to take it out of the bank. I’m pretty sure you could make a support ticket to have them exchange it for you manually, just explain your situation to them.
This topic is specifically for the Molten Alliance Mining Pick, which has a much different situation.
I have to disagree here. Just because I got a good deal on this pick doesn’t mean it’s price tag is any less. They changed the price, it is now 1000 gems, same as this new pick. Many people paid that 1000 gems, and many people payed 1000 gems for the bone pick. Those people deserve a refund as well, not just people who got the early-bird special.
I don’t see how the 800 gem price makes any difference. the purpose of the refund is to exchange for the better model. I’m fully expecting to pay the price difference.
I got the 20% figure from dulfy… I usually take her word on things. http://dulfy.net/2014/01/28/gw2-gemstore-update-watchwork-mining-pick-and-mask-of-silent-sun/
It was confirmed elsewhere, but they probably got their 20% figure from her as well :P
Hmmm… the chance to get a gem from a node is also around 20% – if this sprocket really does replace that gem, I would be inclined to resend my request (that would make this new pick different but similar). Does anyone actually have a new pick to test with? just do a bunch of harvesting (ideally around 100 nodes), then tell us how many nodes and what you got out of them.
I highly doubt it could replace the chance of more ore – that chance is closer to 5%.
No, they don’t deserve a refund. No one does. You knew what you were purchasing and got what you purchased. Exactly what you purchased.
Nothing is stopping you from purchasing the new one either. Buy it and go crazy if you really want it.
Because that is precisely what this issue is about – wants not needs. Anyone who purchased a Molten Pick (8 months old) or a Bone Pick (2 months old) got precisely what they knowingly paid for. And now you have the opportunity to knowingly purchase a new one should you desire it.
Go for it if you have this much of an issue.
Then go make your own topic.
This topic is specifically for the Molten Alliance Mining Pick, which has a much different situation.
Tell me how the situation is any different save for a 200 gem difference for the early adopters? It has alot of the same problems that concerns it if not more.
A separate thread for it would be redundant.
I did. The topic at hand is whether or not the Molten pick should get a refund. With 200 gems of difference, it is fiscally irresponsible to ask for a refund, buy the pick, and then have to make up that 10g in sprockets which is close to impossible.
You purchased yours for 1000 gems. Your argument is less fiscal and more what you feel entitled to, (which is nothing mind you). There IS no argument for your case. You purchased something, and then an upgraded version came out. You have no right to a refund because you got exactly what you purchased. Was it bad timing on your part? Yes. And I am sorry for that. But that is what happened. The Molten pick people have even less of an argument, but at least I can say “you are making a terrible choice if you even want a refund” for them.
Nothing in this topic has anything to do with the bone pick.
The bone pick functions exactly like the molten one, however it never benefited from the fact early purchasers got a reduced price. If anyone has more of a right to complain about their gear being outdated and obsolete, its those who purchased the bone pick. Given its the same price as the sprocket for less.
Then go make your own topic.

Fixed it for ya
Let’s do a little math.
The molten pick costs 800 gems old version but 1000 normally.
The sprocket 1000 gems.
That 0 gem difference you did not pay would have cost around 0g.
In order to make this 0g up, at the current price of sprockets (43c), it would take 0 sprockets.
Picks are 1000 gems. L2gemshop.
That and they didn’t take into account the bone pick either, which was always 1000.
Nothing in this topic has anything to do with the bone pick.

As was stated on the first page by the topic creator:
You paid 800 gems for it. The new one costs 1000. You’ll get no refund.
I’m only expecting 800 gems back.
So, regardless of the gem shop, the topic creator is focusing on 800 gems.

Because they are not landmarks. If you go on vacation and see a lovely valley, you do not say “if only this spot right here that I am viewing this valley from had a name”.
Vistas are just ways for the game to say “isn’t this beautiful?” It does not get a name because why would it?
Let’s do a little math.
The molten pick costs 800 gems.
The sprocket 1000 gems.
That 200 gem difference you did not pay would have cost around 10g.
In order to make this 10g up, at the current price of sprockets (43c), it would take more than 2300 sprockets. Now, every node has a ~20% chance to provide sprockets.
I am not sure how many sprockets are provided per node, but at 20%, having to mine 2300 sprockets, it will take a while. Combine this with EVERY person trying to break even, the price will drop. This price drop will make breaking even take even MORE time.
So stop complaining about the fact that your old pick is “useless” comparatively. You lost out on nothing and probably saved a good deal of time.
You guys are way off, that thing Scarlet saw in the Mists is actually Menzies, Balthazar’s brother, and we’ll go to the Fissures of Woe to give an end for this and while we are there , the Eternal Forgemaster will craft legendary armor.
You are clearly being sarcastic but I want that so bad.
Hello there. I took a break for a while and now find myself in the sticky situation of needing to do fractals. However, much has seemed to change. Are there any up to date guides for the individual fractals to give instructions so that I can be prepared?
Dulfy has always been my go-to, but it seems a bit out of date in the fractals department.
Thank you for any information!
I am outfitting my warrior, and contemplating ascended trinkets.
I would hate to give him power/prec/crit only to have it be useless soon.
I recently got my ranger to 80, and I am curious of all of the roaming build possibilities.
I currently am using Koroshi’s full regen build:
So I am also curious about what others think about that build choice.
Sorry if this makes no sense, I just find the “newly made 80 alt” feeling to be very exciting.
We are laughed at when we take two bows (and perhaps there is a bit of reason tied to DPS, certainly).
But how many rangers picked the class because it had bows?
In short, ANET has it where playing the class “as the player wanted to” results in others hating your playing the class. Talk about missed expectations.
Sure, some folks wanted a melee ranger but I am guessing the vast majority thought ranger-archer or ranger-pets and a few ranger-traps. In both cases, that would be ranger-worth less (not per se worthless). Fairly sure, the expectation wasn’t ranger-lots of eye candy spirits.
Now let’s talk pets. Ranger seems “woodsman” in the stereotype I brought to choosing the class. What are our best pets? Would you find them or a bear in the woods?
The whole class just feels odd like it shouldn’t even be called a ranger.
Can you have fun with it? Sure. Is it what you expected? I seriously doubt it.Can we still have fun, I suppose. But ultimately, the ranger
I picked ranger to be an archer, but I hardly consider an archer someone who carries two bows. Historically, archers throw down their bows and pick up another weapon when the enemy gets too close for the bow to be effective. Since archers weren’t as rich as knights, they would be using cheaper weapons, not fancy swords, but I’d say this game is doing fairly well at portraying a true archer. Closer than most games at least.
Having a strong ranged weapon and a strong melee weapon can cover up a lot of weaknesses that other classes have to deal with.
If you like bows, pick one. I’d suggest determining whether you want conditions or power, shortbow for conditions, long for power. Then pick a melee weapon. And if you’re worried about stigma, pick any pet other than a bear.
And as for being told how to play, try figuring out talents in the guardian tree, or playing as a guardian when you like to think of yourself as a warrior, not a caster (good luck finding a ranged weapon). Or play as a thief who wants to be an agile warrior, not a lame stealth-backstab machine.
This was probably one of the most intelligent posts I have seen in a long time. I agree.
Don’t hold your breath, as long as Ms. Angel McCoy is employed.
?
And out of curiosity where is the info that the Mursaat helped fight against the dragons?
I was always very into the lore of GW1, and remembered a bit from Lazarus the Dire:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Lazarus_the_Dire
It is not a long read, so you should read it. But the tl;dr: Basically, a powerful Mursaat named Lazarus the Dire split himself into a few aspects, putting them into hosts. He then came to reclaim these aspects, which in turn killed the hosts. One of the aspects was damaged by a human and an asura, to which Lazarus declared vengeance against countless generations.
It is also interesting that Mursaat once fought alongside races against the dragons. So therefore, it would make sense that the Mursaat would eventually show up.
The addition of infusements. agony resistance (although not the same as spectral agony, but interestingly similarly named) also nod to the Mursaat.
I, for one, am very excited, as the Mursaat were incredibly interesting, lore-wise. Plus, the Mursaat showing up would definitely change GW2 drastically, and would make for a very interesting living story arc.
There is an issue, however, in that the Mursaat were essentially friendly and fought against the dragons. Once the dragons were gone, then issues arose. And since GW2 revolves around the dragons, I cannot imagine them being much of a threat, yet.
Anyways, thoughts on this subject?

Salvage IS and will always be a Gamble ( unless you salvage blue/greens for luck ) but salvaging blues/greens will never make your cash back , specially if your using 15 silver salvage kits!!!!!
Why would you ever use master salvage kits for blues/greens? Normal ones are cheap.
Anyways, by not salvaging, you are missing out on a lot of magic find. That, in my opinion, is foolish. Likewise, at the moment prices for mats are much higher than they have been in the past. It can be very profitable, especially with the added incentive of magic find increasing, to salvage.
- I salvage ALL blues and greens wirh 2S or less value ..* ( that’s most of them
)
So then what was your point of saying “it’s always a gamble” when you salvage “most of them” anyways? If you do it for all of them, there is no gamble in your mind.
Likewise, you say you never salvage rares. With a black lion salvage kit, I think 1.2 ecto/salvage is the average amount of ectos you will receive. Master gets you .8, which is a gamble, but you are speaking greatly in absolutes. And only a Sith deals in absolutes.

This is not my idea. There simple housing’s and housing like I suggested. It’s more than having a home where you put your stuff etc…. it’s more your own Lands and army. this is a different concept.
Housing like this post mentionned is not really attractive. Mine is completely different.
It is similar in the need for a space for this.
However, your idea focuses far too much on the “singular”. You are the king of an army. But you are just one in a million players, all with their own army.
Plus, you are not a commander. You are barely a leader. Trahearne saw to that nicely. It just doesn’t fit into the story at all.
SALE EVERYTHING!!!!!
Absolutely not. There is an extreme importance in the need to salvage, not sell.
Ok, I never saw any topic, could you please give me the links I missed. I didn’t found any link related.
Thx man

From two months ago. The first reply states “Mentioned many times to ANET”.
So yes, a very old suggestion.
Agreed. While there are definitely issues with the game, which of course there would be as nothing is perfect, people probably should chill out a bit.
My biggest pet peeve are the players who say “THIS IS BROKEN FIX IT” while giving no suggestions at all. It’s like standing directly next to a fire and just yelling “SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS KITTEN”. The thousands of topics yelling “Ranger pets are broken” do not contribute anything more to the discussion, while the one topic saying “Ranger pets are broken, here is an idea” adds so much.
Just my two copper.
