A few weeks ago (closer to a month) I realized healing gave rewards in WvW so I made a full healing engineer and had tons of fun with it – took a break – and now it doesnt seem to work.
tried to find it in the patchnotes, maybe im missing it, any1 knows what happened?

Hey guys, just curious if people think these colors go together. I use some of the Mist gear, herald shoulder and Glint’s mask. Colors are Enameled sky for the dark blue areas, Glint’s Sanctuary for the lighter colors and Sky for the eyes of the dragon skull. Sorry if it’s a bit dark and graphics are not the best (I have mine at medium).

Will gliding be implemented into WvW? I hope.
I even think Ruby went over this in a stream from earlier this year. There’s too much work to be done and too much work to be looked over to make the wvw maps suitable for gliding. They have no plans to implement this (that im aware of).
Anyone else been taking damage while Endure Pain is active? Happen to me last night vs DH.
I believe I have! And I’ve also had the Endure Pain-trait NOT proccing when off CD, (same has happened on engineer with elixire s trait)
But its so hard to test since it doesnt always happen

IDK, I’ve tested it a few times for condi warrior, and it seems the damage actually increases.
Its just that the tooltip or stat numbers dont increase.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the missile ability apply any on-hit skills of any sort. I think that is intentional.
Well Im pretty sure ti does proc Takedown round, just not if the enemy’s health goes below 50% EVEN though the enemy was above 50% when hit
But honestly I need to do mroe testing, I might be completely paranoid
Takedown Round:
Striking a foe above the health threshold places a delayed explosive charge on them.
Percent: 50%
As far as I understand it should proc from hitting an enemy with 50% health or more.
So basically when I hit with rocket, it should proc, but it doesnt. It doesn’t proc if the rocket takes them from 100 to below 50%, however it does proc if the rocket DOES NOT bring them below 50%
Thats why I was wondering if its maybe bugged?
Lately I’ve been running around with my zerker engineer in WvW shooting Rockets at people for fun, alot of the times the rocket single handedly takes the enemies below 50% health.
When this happens the trait Long-fused powder doesn’t seem to trigger. I was just wondering if this is known, if it’s a bug or if it’s possibly intended? Maybe someone else could try it out.
Seems odd that it shouldn’t proc, since I’m actually hitting them when they are above 50% health.
Different teams working on different stuff. Anet isn’t one guy who’s only capable of working with one thing at a time.

I just wanna see an earthquake that shows the ground level in all the canyons and the oasis up to the same level as everything else.
I like the idea of stealing when stomping, otherwise there wouldn’t be anything special about it. Just like TheGrimm says it would be a decision you have to make; is it worth putting yourself in a vulnerable situation to get the supply or just make sure the enemy dies.
Tbh I don’t think griefing is gonna be a thing, after all stealing supply shouldnt be your main focus, but rather defeating the opponent.

Would be interesting to see how it would work if you could carry the stolen supply + your own – like in strong hold. I guess numbers would have been looked to to make sure people cant solo build their own siege in one try.
That might give roamers and people “picking off” zerglings some incentive to work together with the commanders.
If you think you can spend your time better on another, more populated server I’d say “! Go for it!”.
Chances are that higher tier servers can give you mroe out of the game than low tier servers.
I played on a low tier EU server, and as I had to limit my game time and my, then, current server couldn’t give me the type of WvW-fun I wanted I decided to move to a higher tier server.
… SO basically, don’t feel like you have to help your server out even if it sounds like a nice thing to do. You might end up shooting yourself in the foot.
Or just make the character log in in spawn.
Btw what would happen if theres a queue on the map? Would that character be completely locked out form game play?
prob just gonna reduce the stealth uptime on sneak gyro, no biggie!
I’ve had this too on ym engineer and I’ve been told warriors have had this with last stand.

I’m probably going to hell for saying this, but the one at their keep gate felt soooo good xD
On a more serious note other things that also felt good were: the Asura racial elite golem dealing 40k dmg, Golem Event Buff bug making player skills deal 20k dmg, engineer grenade barrage dealing twice the dmg.
I don’t like the verticality either. It’s as you say; no fun taking so much time to get around the map.
There are major issues with banners atm.
Starting with the break bar, it is not working right:
- afaik the bar is not affected by blind and weakness (needs further testing for other soft cc like cripple and chill as well)
- the regeneration after getting hit with cc starts about 1 second after last cc and appears to be as fast as health regen out of combat
- once the bar is broken, you can stunbreak out of the stun and stay immune to all cc (hard and soft) while the bar is red and regens to full (needs further testing)
The break bar needs heavy work to balance/fix or needs to be completely removed. Bar regen should be 50% slower in combat. Once the bar is broken, the stun should not be breakable and you should be affected by cc as long as it is red.
Moving on to gear and traits:
- power definitely scales with banner abilities (need further testing for other stats, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they do)
- needs further testing, but sigil of fire definitely works with the banners
- certain traits work extremely well with banners (guardian with turtle is unkillable etc)
Gear and traits (and food) should not scale/work with banners. Your other skills (util, healing, elite) should. Alacrity should also not work with banner skills.
Problems specific to turtle banner: (look at image below, skill 1 starting on the left)
- skill 1 is fine (the projectile speed is very slow)
- skill 2 needs: a longer cd (10-15sec), allied target cap (15 or less)
- skill 3 needs: a longer cd (20sec +), shorter duration (3sec or less) -currently most broken of all, can make 10 people perma invuln if there are 4 banners present
- skill 4 needs a longer cd (40 sec +), shorter field duration (8sec or less)
- skill 5 needs: reduced duration of boons (15sec or less), allied target cap (20 or less), enemy target cap (20 or less), reduced radius (currently the area of effect is about as big as a keep lords room in EB)
This combined with removal/balancing of break bar and making gear(stats, runes, sigils) and traits not work with banners should tone the banner down enough to still be usable but not OP as it currently is, making it what is should be, a viable alternative.
I am also of the opinion that you should only be able to have one banner of each type per map.The carrier should also be more noticeable, especially when using skills.
And as far as the other two banners go, the changes needed are much like this one.
Also note that I might be wrong on a few things (especially about the break bar and how stats/gear affect banners), these things are hard to test for and what I’ve written here are really mostly observations.

Thought I’d give another point that should be looked at, for ALL banners, especially the Dragon Banner:
The banners are not affected by retaliation.

I’m by no means an expert on warrior. Tbh I havent rly played it before. However, I duelled a warrior using hammer/GS the other week on my scrapper and it was rly hard to get a grip of the fight against him.
From a scrapper point of view it seems like a rly hard build to play against.:D
Either the Warrior was really really good or you just don’t play Scrapper that well, because no Scrapper build should have a problem vs Warrior in this current meta
I’m not a wonder at scrapper either so it’s prob a bit of both ;P This was in wvw so I’m not sure what gear the warrior used. But it looked fun!
I find it rly annoying when it blocks the boons of my target.
Im trying to keep an eye on important buffs like stability, the warrior stances( forgot their names), blocks of different kinds etc.etc.

Then I realised the daze duration on the tooltip didnt change .

I was just wondering that since I’m trying to craft the ascended “Fix R Upper” hammer and part of the requirements is to have the Inquest Servo which drops from Mark 2 Golem, now that I have it, can I equip it as an accessory and still use it as a component for crafting my Fix R Upper later when I get all the other parts?

You only need it for the Item Collection achievement. You should be able to equip it.
You’re not actually “crafting” F-R-Upper, you’re gathering stuff that adds to the collection.
Once the gam registers that you have or have had all the stuff you’ll get the hammer.

I’m looking to move to an active EU server. Pref international.
Since my current server (Gunnar’s Hold) is rather dead most of the time I’ve started to look for greener grass elsewhere.
I’m looking for tips on what server would be a good choice.
As a player I enjoy evrything aslong as theres alot of players/activity and doesn’t feel like a single player game.
I’ve been trying to get some info about Far Shiverpeaks and deso, how a normal day is on those servers.
Maybe there are other servers that are good too? IDK

Remove 2 conditions just comes with the skill
But the RNG condition cleanse proc is so unreliable. Projectiles have 20% to proc a combo field.
If Seed of Life is a water field
You can use GS#3, Sword#2 to proc for extra heal instead of some useless light aura.
You can do CAF #2 + #3 for AOE heal instead of some passive gameplay light aura.
You don’t have to rely on others for water field whenever you’re in CAF.
The water field doesn’t last for very long (between 1s to 2s- please correct me if i’m wrong), you can be CC and the water field will go away before your CAF #3 comes in.Actually many projectile finishers are 100% chance. Other projectile finishers that are 20% chance have multiple chances to proc. See Rapid Fire or Splitblade.
Keeping Seed of Life as a light field spreads out the utility that Druid has. It keeps the spec from being one dimensional. This skill could use some changes, but turning it in to a water field is not one of them.
The players that need cleanses still have to be within melee range of the mob which got hit by the projectile. Quite unreliable and hard to use in the middle of the mess.

The point of the thread is to gather up some experiences over the progress of Guild Upgrades, especially in World vs World. So please answer these questions if you will. Please only answer if you are part of a Guild that participates in World vs World.
Personally, I have not been able to really see any of the upgrades to be used extensively, nor do I even understand how any of this works, so I am wondering how it is turning out.
As always with these “serious” threads, please keep the rambling and complaints to a minimum if it’s not directly related to the topic. Keep everything to the point as much as possible.
- How many people are in your guild, and how many of them participate in World vs World?
- Do you find any of the Auras from claiming essential?
- How many World vs World upgrades has your guild earned, what level are they, and how close are they to getting +5 Supply, in particular? Do you feel it is achievable? How much have they spent?
- How has your guild been obtaining the upgrades? Do you feel that this has taken time away that you would have rather been playing World vs World? Please be specific, such as “I spent 5 hours getting shovels”, etc.
- How has the new system impacted you and your guild’s playing experience in World vs World? Would you prefer the new system or the pre-HoT system?
- If you could change one thing about the Guild upgrade system, what would it be?

- About 15-20 actively playing.
- About 4-5 participate in WvW for different servers.

- Not really, no.

- I recently spent 260g to upgrade ‘camp claiming’, ‘tower claiming’ and last ‘turtle banner’
- We’re nowhere near getting ‘+5 supply’ and right now it doesn’t feel like it’s within reach for us;
the material for the guild upgrade itself is alot and then we have understood that for many tactics you need to put out alot more to keep using them.
4. How has your guild been obtaining the upgrades? Do you feel that this has taken time away that you would have rather been playing World vs World? Please be specific, such as “I spent 5 hours getting shovels”, etc.
- We try to get everyone in the guild to contribute with materials but, since My Guild is not a WvW I’m the only one who’s been getting materials for this.
- I spend anything between 1-2 hours total of gathering when I can/feel like it. And thats for the ‘turtle banner’ alone; so they won’t run out of stock.
Yes I would love to be able to WvW and still be able to get the tactics and other upgrades.
5. How has the new system impacted you and your guild’s playing experience in World vs World? Would you prefer the new system or the pre-HoT system?
- I don’t have any personal guild experiences here. However, I like the way the new system works, but, it seems that it’s so increadibly expensive to reach anything for players to be able to give feedback.
I haven’t really seen any of the upgrades yet. They take so much time to acheave.
6. If you could change one thing about the Guild upgrade system, what would it be?
- I’d either reduce the material cost for Wvw upgrades, since the amount of resources obtained in WvW is very limited.
Or.. make the WvW upgrades require WvW specific material, badges etc.

You can get the recipe for all specialization runes that you have unlocked from a laurel vendor, i.e the one in L.A
Edit: you have to unlock the elite spec on one character atleast.

I liked HoT, the only thing I disliked was that alot of people left WvW leaving it rather quiet. But I guess it’ll recover somewhat with time.
And besides, I think all the chaotic things that happened pre-release and all the bad things are things that A-net has learned from now; Now they cna make next one a little better!
I love the GH arena and I’ve been duelling alot in my guilds one, but for some reason my eyes don’t like the shiney floor combined with skill effects.
It looks rly neat and all but in fights it messes up my viswion xD
Is there a way/option to make it more dull/less shiney?

Incendiary Powder affects all sources of burning! In wvw, spvp, and pve!
Whenever it’s not on cooldown it will activate when you target someone and press f.

Its dead. To the people who think people will come back after doing HOT content, then you’re wrong.
That’s funny because I’ve seen alot of change the past week. Higher amount of players coming back. Might just be my server, but I doubt it.
It was pretty slow right after the expansion, but last week was probably the best week in terms of fun and epic fights I’ve had in months. There are map queues and threeways in eb and the borderlands every single day, the action never stops. (NA prime) I didn’t like the new maps at first, but we’ve had some fantastic fights on them since then. I could do without the size and some of the pve mechanics, but it’s not that bad. Been raiding every day, hope it continues.

It pretty much sucked right after launch, but recently I have had some amazing large- and small scaled fights.
I certain that the reason for the slow start was due to players doing pve stuff, not bad layout of the borderlands.
Looks rly fun, I have been trying out concecration too. Love it on engine!
Personally I would swap to Healing Turret and Mass Momentum. I’d also get Elixire S instead of elixire gun (just a pref). Elixire b is enough to maintain high might stacks when you get might on stab.
Id also get a little mroe toughness.
