I’ve ran this build or very similar for a long time and I enjoy the damage it supplies which is probably a bit lower than other builds. But I like helping out with my war horn converting conditions into boons for a short time. I LOVE the mobility of this build, faster than anything in the game pretty much.
I would like some thoughts on how to improve on the build without changing it too much.
The condition removal is not the strongest but it has saved me countless times and is very handy if you are poisoned and need to heal. It also provides a blast finisher which is rare for warriors compared to other classes.
I’m not sure what I want to improve with the build, but I mostly run as a berserker. This is mostly my PvE and dungeon build. I’ve ran something similar in WvW but more defense oriented.

PvP ranks, old transmutation stones plus the 5 from gem store.
How many did you get in total?
I got a total of 94 I think, had a bunch of transmutation stones in my bank.
I’m sure many got way more so it would be cool to see some numbers.
Hey, anyone else having this issue?
When I press O my screen freezes for half a second before the black lion trading company pops up. I can still move my cursor while this is happening, but everything else freezes.
It’s annoying and would like to hear if anyone else are experiencing the same. It’s not a major issue but IMO it is something that should be addressed unless it’s only me or a small percent of players experience.
Wait, but… although my clothes are now infinite tonics, my hats are consumables. Am I going to lose my hats after one use??
They will be consumed and applied to the current item you apply the look to. And added to you’r wardrobe for future changes at a cost of 1 charge I believe.
Edit; The NPC is not in vigil keep.
Fellow players, they also nerfed this.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/FROST-GORGE-TRAIN-RUINED/first#post3901292
I was considering starting to play again with this update, now I’m considering deleting my chars and just move on from this kitten.
I have not done champ farm since the aetherblade events were active, but this change nerfs ALL CHAMPS IN THE OPEN WORLD. kitten you anet.
(edited by Pandeh.5248)
Same reason the frost gorge train was nerfed, Anet wants you buying gold with your credit card, not earning it in-game.
Or maybe because the whole champ train gimmick was stupid gameplay?
People like you are why they will get away with whatever tactic they choose to milk players wallets rather than making rewarding content .
Same reason the frost gorge train was nerfed, Anet wants you buying gold with your credit card, not earning it in-game.
I hope they keep at it, until every single fan they have left realizes this.
This company is getting more greedy by the minute.
“Boss chests in dungeons are now limited to once a day. Champion loot bags and dungeon tokens from the bosses themselves will not be limited in this way.”
What problem did this fix? Why would you punish somebody (more) for being the fifth in a run to help their guildie fill out a dungeon run that they’ve already done once that reset cycle?
Because some players on this forum and likely in the game take it upon themselves to make it their business how other people play the game or make money. It apparently bothers them if you do it a certain way they do not want you to.
I assume it was, like many other things in this patch, meant to slow down the amount of gold players are making per day.
This game is getting more and more disney land themepark by every update, can’t wait for Arch Age…
Limiting gold income leads to higher gem sales, which is all they kittening care about.
Can never happen in this game where people complain they have to do WvW to get legendary weapons and map completion.
The QQ would been on a whole new level.
Try another game and see if it’s the same issue there.
Re install drivers. (Try different drivers)
Restart.
Re install windows.
Download a temperature monitor and check if you are overheating.
If it’s only a issue in GW2 it sure is weird.
Does lowering settings fix the issue?
(edited by Pandeh.5248)
Anything that makes players happy without generating revenue is very unlikely, IMO.
I’m just curios if China will get the living world content we have had. My favorite so far has to be the Bazaar. Solely due to it being an amazing new zone to explore.
Would you as a player want to see any of the living world content if you were to play on the Chinese client?
I’m not 100% how the trait changes actually works for new characters.
Right now you get one trait points per level, and after the patch it will be 14 trait points. Each of the new trait points will unlock “one upgrade” instead as the old system where you needed 5 for one “upgrade”.
They did say that characters made after the patch will have some traits “locked and will have to explore and find them”.
At launch I would love that idea, but I don’t think it’s that big of a difference if you start playing now.
My best tip is to enjoy the leveling process. It was one, if not the best leveling processes I’ve ever had in an MMO. It had some lack of content at launch, but leveling now compared to launch seems only positive for new players.
Although the MEGASERVER launches for the 1-15 level zones at the 15th. If you want a blast in the starting zone I would recommend waiting, most starter zones right now lack some players.
But there should be enough people around, anyway most events in the starter zones are solo able, but you might encounter some that require a few players to complete.
Again not sure how the traits works after patch, but I believe after patch you will have to explore to unlock some of the traits, which is a good feature imo.
But as a new player you won’t notice too much of a difference if you start now or after the patch. Starter zones sure will be more populated after the patch. So you will have more of the “launch” feeling with more players around. As it is now, there is one popular starting zone “human” where people farm champions. Don’t ask me why, doesn’t seem worth it to me.
inb4 lore reasons
holy crap dude good call LOL
But who gives a hoodle about lore. GvG and guild halls made Guild Wars amazing.
HA and TA made it even better. But here we need to have super strict E sports wannabe PvP!
HA was really exciting. TA is pretty much just Tpvp (I understand that that old RA/TA system was better but this is a different game).
There have been SO MANY THREADS ON THIS – the Name Guild Wars comes from the lore and history, not that there are Guild Wars NOW.
That’s true – but – there’s a bit more. GW had GvG, it’s easy to assume GW2 would have it too, or would have it later.
But the main thing is the name. Before you get back on that lore horse, consider that it’s a name for a franchise that was chosen by ArenaNet. Why? To inspire thoughts in the public about GvG and Guild competition.
well put.
I’ve imagined ever since launch, what if this game had a GvG mode with a mini WvW map with one castle for each team, a supply boost in the middle and two side objectives on each side.(Think basic GvG map setup)
The two sides would provide some sort of minor bonus and the middle would provide a boost of supply per second/minute(w/e).
Maybe the sides would be, blueprint pickups where you have to run back to you’r base with blueprint. These two sides would be required to be captured and every X seconds/minute(w/e) you can pick it up. Then you would need to run it back to you’r castle and deposit it into you’r “Siege weaponry” merchant. Both teams generate X amount of supply per second/minute(w/e) and by holding/capturing/killing/whatever sort of objective in the middle you generate more supply.
Supply would be spent to purchase the siege weapon of choice. This would either(design/balance developers have to decide this)let you carry a blueprint or it would summon a dolyak(A tanky one) and you would carry the blueprint to the location you want to put it down.
GvG would finally be here…
I really like the ‘alliance’ idea. Our guild is only six strong; just friends and family. We mainly run the various game components together and have made a couple of quirky offshoot guilds (one guild just of engineers, for example), but obviously, also small. If we could align with a larger guild to assist with events, WvW, PvP, etc and not have to leave the cozy confines of our own guild, we’d be ecstatic to be able to help out. I can only imagine other small guilds signing up to help out the larger guilds with these various tasks.
Hey there, you sound like my demographic for this question.
So if we had an alliance system and the ability to make group chats where you could add 10-15 people(These would act as mini guilds and would not disappear when logged off).
Now though, you would only be able to be in one guild(per character/imo it should be per account but that will never happen).
Would this be a positive change?

Who here woudn’t play GW2 HA with their PvE characters?? It would of been so kittening good.
Wheres the fun in perfect balance. GW1 was pretty well balanced when you think of all the combinations there were. You had “gimmick” builds but none were unbeatable if you were in with a highly skilled balanced team.

I spent 100 gold with no result.
Went on a friends account spent 50 and got one.
Went back to my account and;>
Spent 500(=price of precursor) got another.
Then spent 500 more and got 0.
RNG is RNG.
They have pretty much said “It’s called Guild Wars 2 because of the lore/IP, if you want GW1 go play GW”.
I agree PvP is way worse in GW2 than in GW1 and they should look back for some inspiration.
They probably don’t include that in the patch. But a retroactive mail sent to players who have completed the requirements would be nice.
We just have to be loud about it.
Guilds should be limited to one per character imo, and make some sort of a “group chat” for those who want to be able to chat with their friends and familiy in a single chat.
Every single guild I’ve joined to date have been mostly inactive members, with some exceptions.
Having multiple guilds is just bad in terms of community. If you can’t commit to one guild why join it.
Edit; For those of you who are going to bash my arguments and how multiple guilds are good. Log in and check out all the guilds you have been a member in for more than 6 months.

Go play GW1 and u get them.
=?
15 charr’s
delete 15 charr’s
You say alot which has already been said, and given the lack of response from ANet, needs to continually be re-said.
It’s not even all that difficult to think of alternatives (giving bosses soft damage increases if controlled, a temporary immunity that dispells after a short duration, more frequent lighter attacks so they aren’t utterly hobbled by having 1 skill interrupted, and so on) that would be much more welcome than the current system.
Yea, we will see. If this feature pack don’t do anything about the topic. I loose all hopes of it ever being changed. Zerg content and simple AI only works for so long. The game is soon two years old and I don’t know what life expectancy they have for it, but if nothing changes I don’t see old players staying. But I guess as long new players are coming in they don’t care.
Leave it like “I am Legend” zombies invade and we have to move. Resulting in an expansion with new zones and a new city.
Recent or rather not so recent information about critical damage nerfs has brought up a lot of discussion and it really does not solve anything at all. It hurts more armor stats than the berserker and it also affects traits, foods and etc. All in all it just closes the gap between the different gear types and brings nothing new to the table.
You can’t have another meta in GW2 PvE as long as conditions works as they do and the name of the topic;
We will never see a improvement of fun game play in GW2 as long as all bosses have anti fun mechanics like these. CC simply just does not work, conditions lasts for a fraction of the original duration, you get 1-3/4 shot depending on gear/boons/profession.
What this leaves is DPS, there is no other valid play style due to these two buffs on meaningful enemies in the game. This is mainly a issue in dungeons, but it also comes into play for smaller group combat vs champions.
If they were removed over night in a patch, yes it would of been broken. Since the AI we fight have next to zero skills, all they do is hit for a four digit plus number.
Let’s assume they add counter measures and a varied amount of different stun breakers with a medium cooldown to these bosses.
This would of open variety of tactic, builds and even conditions would be viable in dungeons.
Simply having these two mechanics in the game is just showing how there is a deeper issue than simply zerkers being the best DPS.
If we had proper enemies without the bad mechanics mentioned above we would of not need to nerf specific stats. Make our abilities do more than dealing X damage to the enemy and we would see quite a different meta, or at least a viable different one.
My thoughts on why PvE is boring to me, I just simply can’t use my abilities because all the meaningful mobs have god mode hack to counter anything other than pure DPS making it feel very dull and repetitive.
Cash shop. Being able to buy in game currency. Artificial low drops DR to annoy people just enough to buy gems.
9/10 new armors in cash shop, and don’t forget the weapons…
Why can’t this be rewards in game?
GW2 has “only” made 200 million from their cash shop. Which is one of the lowest compared to other “F2P/B2P” games.
Rather have paid expansions and even paid mini expansions than constantly being reminded if actually farming for X item is worth the time put into it. Rather work a few hours extra than spending 10x the time in game playing content that have caps and DR all over the place.
You’r free to disagree but this is my biggest issue with GW2.
+ All the waypoints.. It just makes the “world” feel so small and insignificant.
+ I would of loved to see some WELL made quests. Hard quests, with great rewards.
+ Another issue with MMO’s in general is all the information is available. I miss the times when you had to figure stuff out yourself. I picked up TSW for 15 bucks, and I do my hardest not to google for guides. It’s such a refreshing feel to do quests that you actually have to think where or what to do next. But when you have to know the bible in some cases you kind of have to google for some help. Heck, theres even an ingame browser because of this:P

I believe it works like this. If you use chill 10 seconds on a person that right after uses a skill. It will have a cool down of 16,6 seconds. However if the chill is cleansed it will go back to the original cool down or close to it.
The chill condition does not alter the cool down in seconds for the player, it simply makes the timer to go slower until it is removed/ends.
So using a 2 second chill on a 1 minute cool down skill, will simply just make it slower to recharge for 2 seconds. It’s a pretty weak condition..
Activities rewards 1k karma for a win I believe.
Keg brawl is a lot of fun and they matches are quite fast.
Alright, that*s a pretty nice trait on the steal indeed. As for the traits that have per interval in stealth. Does it proc instantly and then for example the initiative; 1 Initiative Interval 10 Seconds. Does that mean I get 1 initiative instantly when I enter stealth?
Does the signet of malice also work with the traited caltrops? If so , are they identical? Do they stack?
Edit; I see they are not the same. Is it worth getting the caltrops on dodge?
+ I see I can use steal while KD’ed. Can I use this as a small evade if timed good?
(edited by Pandeh.5248)
Tested that out seems to work alright. What skills would you take along with it? I’m running Scorpion Wire and the 2 passive signets.(pow. prec.)
No point traiting towards an endgame build, because retraiting is cheap and easy.
What kind of style do you prefer? Stealthing? Evasion? Conditions? Backstabs? Traits support a bunch of different ways to play.
Don’t really have a strong opinion on which exact style. Probably more on the power end. Tbh, I would be happy if you just made a few example of some basic traits I should go with at level 60. Can be any weapons, things you consider good.
I know this is vague:P
Hey all.
My thief is level 61, I’ve not played it a lot. Maybe leveled 15 levels, the rest is level 20 tome and crafting.
I suck at thief, just getting that out of the way. So my experience is very limited. I’m looking for tips and even builds if there are any for lower level. I looked fast over the build thread but it was mostly end game builds there.
Should I just slowly trait towards one of the end game builds or is that a bad idea?
So what can you recommend? I’m open to anything.
Hey, I’ve played something similar to this in WvW quite a lot and I like play style it offers.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIEQNBhYDbk0J2NGSFiJOggeohZRVcUAgMRShYwGA-jUABpmFRjFA-w
I run it both with zerker and soldiers armor. I don’t have optimal runes for it. Currently using rune of the soldier. Which makes the #6 of the runes totally useless.
I’ve also gone more defensive and taken 20 points into discipline for the guaranteed rally and signet recharge. Basically being a snare bot in larger fights to keep them from running.
But I would like for some rune tips for the current build I posted. I want a decent crit chance while being in soldiers armor. But also be quite tanky. Rune of Lyssa could be a good choice.
Anyway I’m open to all suggestions/changes you can think of as long as it stays to the core of the build. It really bothers me not having the fast weapon swap though, reduces my chasing and escape capabilities.
Hey, I’m wondering if it’s possible to send a support ticket and change server?
Bought 1600 gems for real money and used 17ish gold for the 200 more I needed
I picked the wrong server, stupid me:P
Anyone know if they let you change again if you make a ticket?
Thanks.
Read the skill before buying?
Or were you expecting god mode for 378 seconds with a 14 second cooldown?
Starting January 21st we get 4 patches, one every two weeks. My guess is that after that, which would be we get a “big” update in the middle of march with new legendaries, precursor scavenger hunt and some other things. A new PvP map and game mode? Maybe they throw in WvW season 2 aswell.
Ok, wait so If I would buy gems for lets say 50 euro. My bank account would get charged for more than that?
If so, I’ll never buy any ever again. It clearly states 50 in the cash shop.
Please add this daily
" Use no waypoints"
Reward: 10 Achievement Points.
Part of being a casual player, as I am, is you have to realize that you won’t have the same opportunities for items or to earn as much gold as those that play more. That just goes with the territory of casual play in an MMO. The other option is to buy gems and convert to gold. That’s just the way it works.
But there is no reason why that is the way it has to work. That is simply the way it was implemented.
Yup lets give everyone a pair of pillows to equip under their shoulders and make everything designed for people that play 3 hours a week.
ANET would been bankrupt by now.
Monthly:
*Kill 5 monsters
*Gather 5 strawberries
*Complete 3 DE’s

The thing for me is that I’d like to play more, but it’s not worth my time unless it’s for a new content release.
It’s not worth my time, because other people are driving the prices so high I can’t possibly invest the time to go after the armor skins, weapon skins (not legendaries that is understandable), or dyes that I’d like.
It’s also hard to experiment with different builds, because of how expensive it is to change them.
Just out of curiosity which armor and weapon skins is it you are unable to get?
Apart from legendaries and a few exotics the other weapons are pretty cheap.
Armors? The most expensive one is, what ? 4ish gold?
I’m stalking YOU!
I love that armor!
Thanks:)

Working as intended.
They just forgot to move chaos storm to the warrior is all.
Where can I find this warrior build every1 is complaining about?
Oh wait is it the build where the enemy dont have stun break=?
