If anything, downed-state brings more depth into pvp and encourages teamwork…
Just add an option to show enemies as humans and one for teammates. Use the generic human model from WwW.
Easy-fix, not alot of effort.
yeah… you made that video private
I’m assuming you are playing with the clone on dodge trait, so al you have to do is do a normal dodge and he will hit your clone instead. Now his adrenalin gets spent and it goes on full cool down, he is kittened.
Stack might on your fire field, spam cc’s, stomp dead guy on recieving end. Use Soldier Amulet, the damage difference is not big, survival difference is huge.
does not include cleansing ire, but makes up for it with passives and unparalleled mobilety.
Warrior is fine, it has good teamfight presence, ok damage and so-so mobilety.
Just use sword when you need a block for certain boss fights and mace for cc’ing trash mobs.
So this is a speedrun recruitment vid?
In wvw ppl usually run shouts, so thats where u get perma fury from. In a spvp enviorment poeple use stances, and with signet traited and lyssa u have a 13 sec downtime on fury.
For hammer UF isn’t really needed if ur running a decent amaount of crit.
swap out cleansing ire for merciless hammer and you would see a good dps increase. I’m assuming this is for dungeons and fractals? Atleast for fractals this isn’t a bad build, since you can dish out a lot of cc’s making trash mobs easier to handle (which can be challanging at higher end fractals). I wouldn’t call this kind of build completely original though x)
Are you gonna add ways to get legendaries by PVPing only?
With the datamined items we’ve found earlier I think we can assume as much.
Christmas Time?
I would love a way to get a second Gasmask for pvp, and a way to optain Dredge
Gear without having to grind a whole year.I would like to suggest adding skill skins too..
As long as they dont have huge impact at my screen.I would like to see certain skills have some awesome animations..This is actually quite the idea, but it shouldn’t affect the particles too much, and more
the motion of the skills themselves. As long as those motions stay within a restricted
frame, the attacks should still be easily recognizable. And why not stances, and moving
patterns too? (Running like a ninja, or maybe like a penguin) This way you could implement another layer of rewards which are purely visual, while also implementing
some pvp prestige into the game, without breaking anything else.
Different running styles would be hillerious, i’d love to have my characters running around like penguins.
I’d like to see some gear that you only can acquire through winning in high en tpvp games, be it armor or weapons. Which you then can wear in pvp, pve and wvw (if i’m understanding the new system correctly). I think this might serve as advertisment for getting into pvp from the other sides of the game.
For people crying about not seeing Dragon finishers, I’m assuming these new finnishers will be revamps of the current finnishers. So Dragon finishers for those on top of ladder would be a pretty safe assumption.
Edit:
I’m very optimistic towards all of the changes that are planned, looking more like the guild wars I assumed was coming out last year.
(edited by Penguin.7906)
They are giving us new finishers according to where you are in the ladder though. I think this is an excelent excuse of getting rid of the not-so-finished finishers (everything from bear and up looks half kitten d imo) and implementing some really stunning visuals for the high end finishers.
Might be an idea to edit the name of the thread, considering where the discussion went.
I have like 30 skins i’ll never use because transmutation cost is way too high.
Just staying alive doesn’t make a good build, doing the most damage as possible and staying alive on the other hand…
I don’t understand why they couldn’t make existing fractal weapons tradable to some npc, so you could get them as weapon skins instead. Just as they did with unbreakable harvesting tools.
Yo Wilson which 1 do u like?
1. F1 – Hammer #4 – Hammer #5
2. Hammer #4 – F1 – Hammer #5
3. Hammer #4 – Hammer #1 to force enemy dodge – F1 – Hammer #5Need some inspiration for my little Asura.
P.S: Her Shield Charge is flying <3
In general it is easier to land #4 to start a cc chain, so depending on how much adrenal u have i would go:
#4->F1->#5 if u are not full adrenal
#4->#5->#1->F1->#1->#1
If u have counted their dodges, are out of stamina (or in some other way are unable to dodge, imobilize etc) and are running away from you can throw out Earth Shaker aswell.
Id only they woulld remove the cripple on sword auto chain and revert leg specialist we would see so many more viable builds.
I don’t understand why everyone thinks Unsuspecting Foe is the reason warrior is dealing a lot of damage at the moment. Uf only affects stunned targets. The meta hambowbuild consists of one stun lasting 2 seconds, that is 2 hits with 50% extra crit chance when Earth shaker hits.
The reason you can get good damge from the hambow build, even with soldiers ammy, is because of the might stacking it is cabable of and the burning.
I think a lot of the misconseption about the warrior beeing so tanky and doing so much damage is because it is difficult to differentiate if they are using berserker’s or soldier’s ammy. People see how tanky they can be with soldier’s, how good damage they can pull out with zerker’s and then they simply combine the two into viewing warrior as super tanky and high dps.
Do not get me wrong, i think soldiers ammy hambow warrior is over the top, but i don’t think changing unsuspecting foe will change anything regarding zerker hambows.
I’d like to see some more combo-fields on the burst skills, since the only combo-field we have now is the fire-field on longbow burst.
For pve just go zerker on everything.
Is this true? Can I play oldschool 100blades now!?
gimmie 50s for all my tourney games plx.
In gw1 every party member would have to resign before the match would end. If someone left the game, they would count as having resigned. I’d like the same in gw2.
streaming some tournaments.
twitch.tv/defektive
You can find the video* here, I assumed you watched it since you knew the builds name.
edit: oh you’re a different guy, sorry x)
All is well then
I’d like a /resign function as well.
Hoelbrak would be kind of a waste when you have no form of might stacking going. Big thing would be sundering mace in this build, as it gives you lower cd on two of your CC’s. And after thinking for a bit he probably takes warriors sprint over vigorous focus, since he is running without swiftness.
I could probably figure out the rest if I watched the stream again, but my internet is not letting me :<
I would change my Norn warrior into a human one, because all heavy armor looks kittenty on norn female compared to human (except c3 which every norn have now >_>)..
tent-mode norn is not appealing.
i just wish they would add some visual projectile to it, like on traps, so you could actually see the coming outside of 1v1’s.
Does it still work on fear and daze though? That’s the main reason I take them over hoelbrak runes.
Our heals is what needs to be looked at.
this.
I have no idea why this didn’t make it to the ballance changes.
I’m guessing 0, 10, 30, 0, 30
unsuspecting foe
shield mastery/dogged march, sundering mace, cleansing ire
warrior sprint/vigorous focus, destruction of the empowered, burst mastery
zerk ammy, sigil of paralyzation om mace/shield set and melandru runes
How about they give us a trait for 30% damage reduction to AoE? Seen it in other mmo’s.
i laughed x3 approved
tooltips are misleading.
build I listed has 70% critical chance with fury, just saying :p
overall.
/15
In builds running mace/shield, GS and unsuspecting foe people aim for either 30 or 50 critical chance so u end up on 100% when the target is stunned. The difference is if you want to rely on fury or not. Personally i think you shouldn’t, since SoR is better not used in fights against Thieves and Necros and most mesmers simply remove all your precious boons.
I think the reason we build high armor is because in wvw you have a lot of stat points to play around with and after either 30% or 50% precision gets less valuable.
You could also try this, though I have not tested it yet for myself with this elite;
If you feel the elite is not working for you, simply swap it out for SoR.
I guess he wanted the forums to know that he is a fan of yours.
I really like the concept of this build and made my own variant of it with a bit more armor and slightly less power;
I think both Reaper of Grenth and Mistfire Wolf are interesting choices
18s of chill should guarantee you a kill in most situations, the only counter i see to it is running away which still would be hard seeing you are a warrior x)
Really need to level a human warrior to test this out
edit: tweaked build to end up on 50% critical chance flat
second edit: just to clarify Reaper of Grenth is not a transform so you still regain all of your weapon skills.

retaliation is a boon, not a condition. so no, it would not make you immune to retaliation.
Easiest solution to the “personal story problem” is simply to reset the whole personal quest line for characters that would change Race. I would also like to see a race change as after a few months i realized how different armors look on a female norn and a female human. it’s especially obvious on leg pieces, as where it looks giant and tent-like on the norn and just makes more sense on a human.
except that King of the hill (if it worked similar as to gw1) would force groups to bring more CC and Boon removal to counter Stabilety plays. Relic running would force groups to bring players with strong mobilety and snares to slow down runners.
I think this would have a good impact on the meta, as it would take away from the damage focused meta we have now.
