You’re misunderstanding those of us who are against the nerfs don’t think the content is easy. With think it is finally challenging and we seek to keep it that way.
These two posts are from just the last two pages of this thread alone (emphasis mine):

So it certainly appears as if some players are saying it’s too easy. That’s what I was responding to. For the record, I do get that you aren’t saying it’s too easy, and I totally respect that. And I do support keeping Tribulation Mode as hard as possible for those of you that like it. I have no problem with that.
The infinite lives coin doesn’t make your jumps easier, or your attacks more accurate, no. But surely the people who are claiming that this content is too easy (not you) would have no problem beating SAB without relying on a cash shop item to make their experience more convenient.
People who claim to like uber-difficult content shouldn’t want “convenient”.

Second guy – You promised us difficult content, now you’re nerfing it down
Third guy – Way to give in to complaints and make the content too easy through nerfs
They’re all saying they liked it more before and it’s too easy with the patched in nerfs. There’s a difference between patching fixes and patching nerfs.

I play a Soldier Necromancer who uses power damage and vulnerability stacking to take down warriors, they usually don’t slot *ENDURE PAIN* because they need balance stance and berserker stance to survive the meta.
I laugh when they pop Berserker Stance, then die a second later because they didn’t expect me to take them out AND be as tanky as I am.

1) SOR only blobs
2) Maguuma is far more skilled on an individual level
3) SOR only wins because of coverage

Lots of us have already been thrown in jail in Rata Sum.
Completely disagree with suggestion of nerfing cond food duration. Idiotic idea actually. Since I use the same food on my guardian build to help negate cond dmg, nerfing that food would also destroy any chance my guardian has at surviving conditions. (and most decent guardians understand they melt on condis especially in massive zerg battles) so no. Rather it’s up to enemies to use + cond food to counter.
I totally agree ‘a t s e’ regarding healing signet. without it we’d get dropped by competent zerk players. (thiefs still hurts me massively i have to rely on kiting with my sword and warhorn to avoid burst) If you want to kill regen players get some support from poison cond builds. Plus what about rangers troll healing regen builds. I’ve observed idiotic situations whereby they are taking on and killing groups of players with kittened amounts of sustain.
Only thing that needs changing imo is the skullcrack from 3 to 2 secs, match it with the earthshaker that’s already 2 sec stun.
oh p.s I personally don’t use kittened cheese builds (but rather full tank low dmg builds, hammer, sword wh for support play) and i often stalemate many other good players with good builds like, healway guardians, zerk thieves, and MM necros along with clever high cond dmg engis. It always ends up in both parties just walking away.

The regen wars get right now is too high for their CC and mobility. Sorry guys but it’s going to get nerfed.
If ur a guard and you get skullcracked, press a block, or an invuln, or have protection up, or just tap another full heal when his 100b/whirl finishes. A warrior isn’t gonna out bunker you, he doesn’t have an active 6, he only has regen if you sit on his banner (and banner regen doesn’t fit into skullcrack build anyway), he has no protection.

10% each on a stat that needs specific marks to actually benefit from it. And doesnt actually affect all your damage. Aswell as being capped, and getting countered by -cond. duration.
Condition duration is not worth as much as Critical Damage.But here is an interesting comparison for people like you.
Berserker’s pistol:
90power
64precision
5% critical damageGiver’s pistol:
64 precision
64 vitality
10% condition durationPower is the primairy stat on Berserkers. But Condition Duration is the primairy stat on Giver’s. This makes it seem like its overbudget, but consider its a cheaper stat then Critical Damage and its the primairy stat. Meaning giving up other stats.
Atleast now we have a clear answer and this means i will not have a reason to downgrade to ascended weapons. As an Engineer i dont get the damageboost on my kits anyway, so why also take a stat downgrade?

Oh, I understand it, all right. That’s why I wouldn’t attempt Tribulation Mode myself. Far too frustrating for me.
Sure, you’re supposed to die; but people who consider themselves “hardcore” enough to complain that Tribulation is too easy shouldn’t need to rely on the crutch of infinite lives to complete such easy content.
The infinite token is just a more efficient alternative to farming 80 hours of coins. Again, not hard.

actually i want wvw not balanced on spvp as this is the problem atm. what is strong in 1v1 is probably bad in wvw zergfights.

Ascended one handed have 10% bonus above 1 handed exotics and 2 handed have 10% for two handed exotics so its not 20% total.
I like how you somehow tried to relate stat boost from exotic→ascended to the condi duration on exotic giver weapons. You’re a special kind of special…

Just FYI since a lot of people don’t seem to notice this, you can preview every SAB skin in all available colors at your spvp locker.
You’ll probably see 2 to 4 (a generous estimate) warriors in every game (of 10 people in each match), but that’s hardly “almost nothing else”.
Except when you actually enter and see… 3 spirit rangers, 2 mesmers, 2 engis, 1 permastealth thief, a bunker guard, and a warrior.

Ascended weapons drop from fractals and any place you can get ascended materials.
- wvw supervisors and lords
- champ loot
- jumping puzzles
- dungeons
- world events
- mini dungeons
- random chests around mapsSo you don’t have to craft it exclusively.
You should probably read up on it before forming an opinion of what ANet intended.

See yes weapons Ascended weapons drop but its extremely rare if magic finds low.
Also finding a Ascended weapon with stats you want is going to be even more rare.
Ascended weapons have fixed stats only legendary weapons allow u to chose stats you want.
Plus all these ascended building crafting items im finding are junk to none crafters cant sell them to vendors cant sell them to players.
So again they need to fix this broken content to none crafters and WvW players

Happening to me as well. I understand why this happened too. If it takes a tester an hour to get through this level then assuming a 8 hour workday, then we can assume the times this thing was tested may be in the single digits.
Really fun otherwise.
Except that they can just dev client hack their way to the checkpoint and test what the behavior of just it, or anything else they decide to add, is in practice.

Is it still possible to solo farm low level trash in FoTM and get it to drop? Seems like nothing drops in swamp and the grawl one doesn’t drop it in the few times I’ve done it..
Swamp – no drops, infinite spawn of enemies.
Grawl – everything at the first area except the shamans you see in the cinematic are considered infinite spawn and give nothing.
The burrow can push you through the door, it has since launch. If Anet seriously doesn’t know about this… o.O
Following a fellow players tutorial, I found that a specific platform is missing out of the stage.

The 2nd issue is with the first store in W1Z3 trib mode… the water kills you no matter what.
He’s not landing on a panel, he’s landing on a pillar under it. That panel wasn’t solid to begin with.
The water doesn’t kill you no matter what, keep trying. He has cut out all his deaths for the sake of shortening the video.
They’re not locked to 1, rings/accessories/amulets are all available via laurels and wvw badges. Fractal completion and wvw rank chests can give rings. Guild missions can give earrings, the commendations they give do to. etc.
I’ve never heard of anyone receiving an Ascended ring from a WvW rank chest. Are you sure it’s possible?
It’s really low chance, some1 I know that’s over rank 700 only got like 6 rings total.
The reasonable person in me says “because they wanted to see how the community reacted to the new system; the weapon crafting disciplines are being used as a trial balloon and will adjust jewel crafting and the armor crafting disciplines based on player feedback.”
The cynic in my says “because they’re pumping out Living Story content so fast they didn’t have enough time to finish jewel crafting or the three armor crafting disciplines. And rather than holding off until everything was ready, they shipped the weapon crafting disciplines just to give the carrot-chasers a reason to keep logging in.”

In 12 seconds, healing sig alone passively heals for about as much as many class’s ACTIVE heals. This high level of healing, combined with high armor and access to either CC, blocks, damage immunity, or distance creators gives enough time for a warrior to passively regen back the damage he took from a burst — with no room for counterplay by the burster.
Ya sure, when you compare it to heals on 15-20s cd’s that provide some other kind of utility, or heals that are also blocks (lolwut? that’s OP), or classes that can poop water fields and have heals on their FX’s.

WHY ! Why would you nerf geysers they were perfectly fine. A little bit of timing in jumping wasnt a bad thing ! Please bring back geysers ! They were fairly easy. Now they are TOO easy.
The geysers were killing people who jumped on them even when they just came up, there were server-client issues.
It is possible to jump there normally, though you have to be extremely precise. A dodge jump gets you there easily, but a dodge jump can be failed.
This is especially annoying when you are going for all the baubles, and you have to backtrack from the last checkpoint all the way to the shortcut eagle.
I figure doing those kinds of jumps would be impossible on a connection that made the flowers remotely difficult to aim.

If they just gave us back flowers, it would have been enough.
Then I think you can ride the last log all the way to the bottom of the waterfall, while running against the waterfal (if that makes any sense). Then it’s a series of jumpy shrooms guarded by bears that will get you all the way up top.
Oh THAT cave? That’s the only way I ever bothered to get into there lol

Looks like World 2 Zone 1 is much easier now. The bears giving 10 baubles actually makes them worth dealing with rather than running past. The piranha bend was much easier as well.
You could always stun-hit-hit-stun-hit-hit bears when solo.

Hmm the jump to shortcut eagle is much harder now. I couldn’t get to the cloud via a normal jump, had to use a dodge jump

Unrelated change but the start of trib 1-1 was changed so you can’t just hug the wall on the far right to climb onto the faces.
You can use a normal jump, it’s no harder than the jump with 3 baubles in w1z1
Normal jump? I only ever dodge jump those 3. Even if all those things can be reached still, the flowers weren’t something I saw complaints about and this nerf ruined their ability to be used to random explore.

Skritt’s pretty simple, increased perception improves ability to find shinies!

Playing world 2 level 1 for the bauble and hidden room achievement at the moment and overall it’s quite fun – but having real difficulty with the ascent up the rapids to the hidden hillybilly cave where the last jump on the rapids seems very random. Same positioning, same leap and 95% of the time its just instant death – most frustrating.
A tiny bit more leeway on the rapids jumps looks like it would improve things greatly.
Works best if you jump and then move towards the last rock. Least that’s what I found. Anytime I tried moving towards the rock to get momentum for the jump I’d get caught in the rapids and in most cases subsequently launched out of the cave.
Easier way is to instead not aim for there, but aim straight ahead towards the little rock right next to the mushroom. You’ll either get launched onto the raised platform nearby, or not move at all, giving you enough time to jump on said little rock.

remember when dealing with the rapids sometimes you can get away with getting your feet a little wet

Whomever designed the final secret room in 1-2 needs a kick in the kitten . Ten lives just to get the first jump, can’t make the second because (surprise) the camera fights you.
I sounded like the AVGN this afternoon, that’s way too hard and luck based for an average player.
The secret room where you have to jump around on the tree roots over a pit of death? The one that was already there at first release? I’ve never seen somebody take more than 3 tries to get there…
i do think that, without making things to simple, lvl 80 places should still be a place where rare should be enough to solo the place.
i always find gear discrimination the worst, especially when the devs play along with it.
it’s the reason why i can’t stand the other MMO’s, all kinds of gear grind and no balance for casuals.orr may be high end but it should still be do-able in normal gear, making exotic and beyond the only way to go is horrible game design.
Exotic is a tiny change from rare (unlike a tier change in basically any other game). Orr is definitely doable in rares, I could run around solo back in my MF rare set if I felt like it. What isn’t practical solo would be steps to arah for the dungeon unlock, and why should they be?
Take the ticket out of your bank, go up to the vendor, pick “I have one of the limited-time claim tickets.”

Yeah Defiant would definitely change the meta, since you wouldn’t want to bring mesmers or warriors with mace offhand or thieves with pistol offhand or
1 mace shield hammer warrior with zerker stance, healing surge, signet of fury, other warriors with +50% crit on stunned enemies. Pure bloodlust stacks, power/critdmg food.
