Well for a start Ele’s aren’t restricted to melee, whereas warriors are (A ranged warrior loses out on a LOT of mobility, even if GS is secondary).
If you remove/nerf their gap closers, they just become walking sacks of HP for all ranged classes to kill.Heck, I actually fought against a Hammer + Mace/Shield Warr the other day on my ranger and due to him not having any gap closers, downed him before he could really do anything to me.
Actually eles ARE restricted to either melee or ranged depending on what weapon they have. you can’t swap weapons in combat.
Lol ele melee is 300-600 range. That’s not melee.
Healing builds are working pretty well. Might kill slower but works wonder if you see the whole party are almost always full hp at all times.

It is so so bad to start playing video games with your kids that young. The skills she learns doing SAB can be learned a hundred other, healthier ways. However. She is doing a great job and having fun and I have to admit the video is super cute. I still wish she was building a fort outside instead or something :P
What about video games is unhealthy? It’s way better than TV, which seems to be more acceptable for young kids.

I made one only to find it’s going to cost millions of gold to craft it to level 80. I don’t even know if I can be bothered to level it at all.
Water is fire, look, I can just make stuff up too!
So according to gw2crafts it will cost about 700g to craft my way CLOSE to level 80, because each profession gives 7 levels from 0-400 and 3 levels from 400-500. Not to mention that I can only take 3 professions to level 500. So yes, it’s literally millions of gold to level my Necromancer.
Do 20 with one of those scrolls, then it’s just 60 more lvls, do 0-400 for the 7 lvls on 8 crafts to get to 76. Refine some ori/ancient wood you got lying around for a bit of some 400-425 leveling or swap the character in at the end of dungeons for the exp.
All classes operate by using autoattack supplemented with weapon abilities or utility skills. I don’t understand why people want to complain that one single class is “just press 1 over and over.”
To be fair, they saw the wrong class. It’s engineers that you need to press 1 over and over most of the time when in a specific build, because we don’t have an auto attack for grenades.
They really need an “I’m in PvE so I don’t need to aim at a moving target, just put the aoe centered on my target” button for grenade 1.
Or just use Combat Mode like all of the good players do.

That’s fun right? Just like having to grind pointless crap in SAB instead of just focusing on pure puzzle solving and jumping puzzles.
But the dig sites ARE puzzles, you just read a guide so you find them to be mindlessly walking to point X instead of looking at the area and thinking where they would stick one. If you had to meditate for 15 minutes, you were doing it wrong. Autoattack off, sit on a mount.

Only thing that needs changing imo is the skullcrack from 3 to 2 secs, match it with the earthshaker that’s already 2 sec stun.
How about you slot Stability instead.
Stability is the most fundamental PvP boon, if you run without it you are begging to die.

No protection, no regen unless you engage on their essentially stationary banner, using burst skills to cleanse conditions is blocked by blind and removes adrenal health when successful, successful bunker build highly vulnerable to poison or burst power pressure.
No regen? Healing signet is around 400+ a tick, DM procs regen for 3 seconds every 10 seconds. No protection sure, but you are still rocking 25-30k HP’s, 2200+toughness and 3500 armour. On top of this you have 2 endure pains, 1 as a skill slot and 1 at 25% health(traited) and you have a Dolyak signet to slot to increase toughness. You can slot the shield for 3 seconds of blocking(in addition to your 8 seconds worth of endure pain).
How are you vulnerable to poison? Melandru, Lemongrass, DM is 98% condition duration reduction.
(1) Healing signet is not regen, it’s also your 6 slot skill.
(2) DM procs when somebody actually procs it.
(3) Last I checked poison wasn’t cripple/chill/immobilize so no, DM doesn’t work on it.
(4) Pizza+traits = 70% condi duration, your 65% reduction is now gone and there are classes that can poison @ 100% uptime with just the regular duration. Seriously, go play against some1 in dire gear and tell me how well your reduction works if they’re stacking food, traits, giver’s weapons, and their own runes.
(5) Your 2×4s endure pain are on a 60s cd, and your 3s block stance is on a 30s cd. That’s 14s out of 60 sure, but your opponent is equally invulnerable during block stance and conditions/cc still go straight through endure pain (both before and after using it).
(6) Your stats aren’t actually important as anybody else in a pure tank set of gear can achieve relatively equal results.
Remove all gear stats except Berserker from PvE and that would clear up any confusion people seem to have with this game. Support comes from weapon choice, utilities and traits, the gear you’re wearing is irrelevant. Whilst I understand where TheGuy is coming from and how this shouldn’t be the case, but gear variation is ultimately different levels of ‘training wheels’ until you’re experienced enough to go full zerk, and to be honest I quite like this system. I mean have you seen a <500 AP player actually pull off full Berserker well? And by ‘well’ I mean not camping at ranged/CoF1.

Why didn’t ANet then use PvP Armor in WvW and invented all that new armor stat combinations especially for PvE/WvW?
Put in different materials for crafting different armor, when, with your logic, only one is needed? And so on and so forth…

How exactly does down scaling mess up a build?
I never had my build meesed up. I still have stats, traits, runes and weapons. The only thing that down scaling does is make all stats lower, to match the area you are in. It doesnt mess up builds if you ask me.
When they revamped downscaling, they significantly reduced crit damage at low levels. A character who brings 100% normally will see theirs at something like 5% in AC. But it’s an exaggeration to say your zerk build is ruined, since you’ll still be doing more damage than if you were in PTV or Valk or anything else.
I would imagine it’s more like 100*35/80=43.75, now go look at the critdmg you could manage to stack at that level? Oh hey it’s still more.

Hammer blind? You can’t just press a button to instantly pop it when you want it, you have to get to it in a slow hammer auto chain.

Not really. Many classes can stack might on their own and there are very few things outside the regular build needed to do this. You are over exaggerating things for effect. No might? No fury? (your’e joking right?) For example I could run full dps nades on my engineer and still give high vulnerability stacks some swiftness and some might. Same with my warrior. Same with elementalist etc etc. Offensive boons fly around but you are correct some builds excel at giving them and still at the end of the day they invest nothing into support stats. Now do you understand? You are confusing support with DPS boosting a common mistake but a mistake none the less.
BTW the example you give is not support but maximizing DPS. A DPS group maximizes DPS (obviously). Even swiftness (which moves you to targets faster over the course of a dungeon) adds to the speed. If you consider might stacks support you need to widen your scope. That DPS tunnel vision has many of you blind to the bigger picture.
to summarize do not put lipstick on the DPS pig and call it support.

It needs to be reiterated that support isn’t really necessary (which you actually illustrate in your post). It isn’t something to get angry or argumentative over. No one runs it because it is inefficient. That is a fact not a complaint. That is the situation. As long as you have yourselves convinced that the little support you bring to your DPS build is equal to running a support build then no progress can be made. Like I said before in terms of what players need the dungeon community is fine as is. If players need gear there are better and faster ways to get it. Same with loot and karma.

Why do people keep talking about zerker dps on the boss? You can’t crit tequatl… precision and crit dmg useless so PTV or cleric’s for power builds. Condi builds also shouldn’t be defending the cannons because unless you’re organized and spiking condis on 1 mob then epidemicing it (lol coordination in pug pve zerg?), you aren’t going to take them out fast enough compared to power based dmg spiking.

No, they wiped. Minions don’t really care about massive skill lag and the minion zerg soaks up the aoe cap. My favourite was there was a guy downed at the water outer and I tagged him for kill credit by warrior fall traiting to my death onto him.

I feel like you’re trying to say that easier dungeons would make it easier to get BiS gear… dungeons are still stupidly easy and BiS gear is now a mind numbing grind of press 1 in uncoordinated zergs instead of what anet promised they would do with gear. This makes no sense, your stat balance remains the exact same and you keep all your lvl 80 traits. Nothing of your build changes. Raising all dungeons to 80 would just make it much harder for low lvls to run AC, CM, TA, SE.
The goats follow set routes, turn on all the other lights, set the other ones on so that the goats will set it all for you.

It’s more likely that any lag/collision issues are still present in normal mode, you just don’t notice because it doesn’t result in instadeath.

Basically everything that requires obsidian shards has other considerably more difficult requirements too. The drop rate isn’t an issue as you get gold to fund other components while you gather up your shards.

You don’t need any of these things for 2-2. You need the item you get during 2-2 to complete 2-2. Also the candle is free.
Healing signet is so crazy compared to other classes passive healing. You have to spend 20 pts in blood as a necro just to get 100 health on crit attacks, warrior gets passive 400 per second, unbelievable.
You know that HS occupies a Healing Skill slot, right? RIGHT?
Please, don’t compare it to HPS gained from traits. Compare it to HPS gained from traits PLUS HPS from your healing skill.

Thief signet heals 100 per strike, meaning you have to actually hit something, and you lose healing if you’re CC’d, being kited, etc. To match the healing from warrior signet, a thief has to strike his target 4 times per second! lol
Now that you mention healing from traits, warriors also have passive healing from traits dont they? Passive healing from adrenalin is what exactly? Im not sure but ill bet its better than 40 healing per attack and 100 per attack that necros have to spend 20 pts in blood and two trait skills on.
Why would comparing the strength of a trait heal to that of a heal slot heal make sense? The person with the trait also has their 6 skill in addition to the trait…
Do you even play the same game? Warriors can bunker while still pushing out more than respectable DPS, i duo WvW with a warrior who can do 17k hundred blades and he has over 3000 armor (can’t remember the exact number but it might even be 3500)… Tell him he can’t bunker lol
