That mode was called Random Arena and Team Arena back in GW1. If you don’t know the details, its 5v5 TDM, Last-man-standing. It was the best dang PvP experience of all time for me.
Now we just have Capture The Point and for some odd reason people get points for killing the enemy.

The LFG says otherwise. Either ban everyone from posting LFR anywhere, or make a kitten LFR in the LFG.
If the programmers are so inept then here is my solution, just rename the Personal Story tab to Raids. Simple, get the intern to do it.
Why is the “you can’t re-joining a story mission” is a feature? For 3 dang years, this feature has not been removed, this feature touches all the players and can happen at anytime.
Here is my idea for a feature instead of it:
We the player can re-join a story mission after a crash or being disconnected. In the case of team mates in the story mission, the game would start a re-join clock, 2 mins maybe a bit more. After that the team mates can continue the mission, while the disconnected player is locked out.
Example: We just completed Hearts and Minds and were waiting for the end cinematic to start, and my connection cut-out for no more then a second, I got disconnected. I couldent rejoin and I did not complete the mission do to this feature.
Earlier this when doing the long and boring Rata Novus mission, the game crashed and well after spending 20 mins in the mission I had to restart.
So please do something about the “no re-joining a story mission” feature.
PS: I’m almost afraid to start any long story mission in fear of crashing and losing all progress.
Timegate doesn’t make anything rewarding. It’s an artificial system to keep something away from you so you log in every single day to get it.
Yes. How would you make it rewarding AND encourage people to log in everyday, while crafting the precursor/legendary? I really would like to hear peoples ideas.

They could rename it to “Flare”. Then the animation would fit.
I would say, Solo Dungeon Story mode would be a great idea.
Solo Exploration isn’t a bad idea either, that way people can check out the dungeon before they want to farm it with group, like a tutorial. Lower the rewards, maybe add some achis, and you have a training mode for the dungeons. That way players don’t have to wait for “all welcome” groups, or make their own. They could just join “exp players only” groups too. Its a win-win situation.

I run a Hybrid Guard/DH (Zerker armor and Nomads trinkets) and I have no problem keeping the boss in one spot, except for blues, the occasional blues on green and if the reds move in and every push-back is on CD.
I went hybrid cause it always felt like the damage was lacking. Otherwise I would love to go with the Full nomads Guard.
PS: Haven’t killed the boss yet, but I’m usually the last one standing.

I think its a great idea, just like back in GW1, Normal and Hard Modes. If I want to see the story and maybe check out the basic mechanics of the raid, I could go normal mode, with the basic loot as rewards, kind of like a 10 man fractal.
If I want to farm for the legendary armor I would need to go HM. This way all the players win.
“Casuals” get NM, “Harcores” get HM. Its a win win.

You want legendary armor but don’t want to do raids, go craft ascended gear, its the stats are the same.
If you want legendary armor cause they look good and don’t care about the stats, go do the raid, no alternatives.
I think its a wonderful idea. The fun is in the challenge, if we would have completed it on the first day it would be nothing special, just another grind.
I don’t see an option for the raid in the LFG window… Why is this?

IF you are an F2P player, then yes.
IF you already bought GW2, then not so much.
Why? Cause compared to the core game HoT ads very little content. The story is poorly written, you will probably only use 1-2 of the elite specializations. You will enter a guild hall to use the scribe station.
Its not that you shouldent buy it, but its not worth the asking price, in my opinion.
If your not in a rush, maybe wait for a discount.
Don’t grind XP, play the game for the same reason you would play normally and you will get the XP that way and it won’t feel like a grind.
That is what I did, I don’t have everything unlocked, but I don’t have to.
Knowing Anet, it will take more then 6 months to balance it.

I started working on my precurser and it really feels like a long journey with a heavy investment, and in the end it will feel even more gratifying to have that item.
PS: You have 3 ways to get a precurser/legendary, buy it with gold, farm or hope for a random drop (mobs or either from MF).
PSPS: Oh and noone is forcing you to make a legendary. So stop complaining.
Well compared to precursers being random drops before, the cost to craft one is nothing.

I can’t imagine whats your stance on any other game where ~10-14 hours of game play costs 40-50 Euros.
I bet you only play F2P games.
I have 1333 hours of play, over GW2s lifespan. I think it was worth the 50 euros (or was it 40?). Now HoT adds another double (or triple) digit amount of gameplay hours. So I think even HoT is worth it.
Other then that I’m happy to support Anet with my money for giving me tons of fun hours of gaming.
Woah, chill dude. I know GW2 is all about being the prettiest princess and all, but you still have to consider that Legendaries are only a minor inprovement over exotic as far as stats go.
Thus the only issue that I can see people having is, not having the prettiest weapon skin.
Simply put, get the kitten over it its only a skin. If you want the dang skin work for it, its optional so stop complaining. Geez. The kittening entitled kittens.
The problem with gold is that there is no real sink for it in game, other then the TP, but that is not Anet regulated. by reducing the gold reward for dungeons they are trying to offset the inflation in game.

I started playing WildStar a few days ago and my mind was blown that mobs swarmed around me instead of just standing in front of me.
My idea for the problem:
Options:
- Show player only effects.
- Show party only effects.
- Show all effects.
1 – Much smarter enemy/NPC AI. – Smarter A.I. would lead to all around more difficult content.
2 – Build Saving – Skills, traits and equipment combination saving.
3 – Rework Dungeons – Come one! Dungeons are garbage. Some improvements would include the use of battle suits, siege weapons, vehicles and unique items.
– Like using a Fire Extinguisher to defeat a boss in CoF.
– Shooting ship from an Air ship in Arah to clear the landing sit when doing a certain part.
– Golem suit to fight other golems in CoE.
8 and waiting on Rev to make it 9. Make as many as you want.
Players have to link their GW1 and GW2 accounts to receive HoM rewards. I think the rewards are for paid GW2 accounts. I do not know if it is possible to link a Play for Free account to a paid GW1 account.
But, if not, that would be the issue.

I have a question about Hall of Monuments and F2P players.
So my friend played GW1 purchased EotN unlocked some stuff in HoM. Now in GW2 he is an F2P player, he got to level 35, got the Portal Stone for HoM.
He talked to Kimmes the Historian and he does not give him the “Show me my Legacy” to purchase the items.
Is this a known issue? Or are F2P players forbidden from purchasing the skins?
guess youre right…with offense i guess i meant more active skills instead of just passive boni or damage, more interrupts, movements and the such – i want more bashes and charges… only ONE shield class gets a bash -thats an atrocity!
Yea, you get to do all that on the warrior. Bot skills feel raw, as they should.
While on the guard you get a more supportive and defensive skills.
While for the engi you get 2 step shield skills, knock-backs, deflects, ranged attacks and a stun.
I feel like they all have unique functions appropriate for their profession.
I wouldn’t mind hearing what ideas you have for shield skills (per profession).
As far as I see it, shield skills are 50/50, when it comes to defense and offense.
Warrior
[Offense] Shield Bash – Bash your foe with your shield and stun them.
[Defense] Shield Stance – Block attacks.
Guardian
[Offense] Shield of Judgment – Create a shielding wave in front of you that damages foes and gives protection to yourself and up to five allies.
[ Defense] Shield of Absorption – Create a dome around you that pushes foes back and absorbs projectiles. (it heals too)
Engineer
[Defense] Magnetic Shield – Create a magnetic field that reflects projectiles and can be released to push back foes.
[Offense] Static Shield – Electrify your shield, preparing to throw it at foes. If you are hit, the shield discharges, stunning your nearby attacker.
I don’t see your point of needing more of either offense or defense.
Its more like, most people playing GW2 today played GW1. Then another good portion play due to those players telling their friends. And some other part is from reviews and YT personalities.
I don’t get it. Whats the complaint? People on forums are sometimes negative and complain about things? STOP THE PRESSES!
The point is that humans prefer to remember the negative aspects more then the positive ones. There are great, creative and friendly threads/posts, people just don’t complain about ’em in a lot of minor threads.
Simply put, toxic things get more hype then the nice ones. Most people might know this when entering a forum and some don’t.
Might as well complain about people getting the game on discount too, like my friend who got it with a 75% discount.

As far as I know sometimes the gear preview tends to shrink two-handed weapons when you are viewing it on the back of the character. Switch to “wield” for the proper size.

We can already hide their Armor and Character looks. So what now?
