Guild Wars 2

Roaming stinks, same boring insert xyz builds. Zero diversity and 99% of players run. I think I’d say these are the core issues:

*Condi damage buff, 10 condi’s applied per sec if you weld a staff or any other weapon.
*Hit like mac trucks and have 50000000 toughness with resistance for 3 hours if you hit player, leap across the map from keep to keep in 2.3 seconds for bonus damage.
*+500% boon duration with chance on critical to increase power by 200 with superspeed and burning damage duration increase 55% when skill is clicked.
*Aoe torment inflicted if you look in players general direction for 10 seconds, condi damage is increased if you play human female who is skinny.

Class issues:
*If warrior played, take no damage for eternity, berserker mode granted if moving.
*Rev, while clicking 1 skill increase critical chance by 300% if on wvw map. EOTM will result in a 5% decrease.
*Mesmer, condition damage is increased while playing.
*Guard, lay traps every 3 seconds if taller than 5 ft. If ausran, a passive trait is granted that increases cuteness.
*Thief, evade is granted when walking/standing/afking.
*Ranger, passive trait allows rooting on bow string contact, When firing arrows gain “titanium armor piercing” damage.
*Engi, stealth is granted permanently upon achieving level 2.
*Ele, while wielding a staff, cause internal combustion of any arrow carts within a 2 mile radius. (Meteor shower optional)

*Necro…………?……..?…………..

Linkings are changed so that players will spend gems to transfer servers.

I don’t understand this false belief that there’s no awesome fights in T3 or T4. You can pretty much choose any map you want, find solo roamers, find small groups, and still find a decent mini-zerg to hang with familiar dedicated commanders.

I will never get why T1 players like that drama filled, guild transfer every few week, and over stack games they play up there. Sounds exhausting to keep up with.

I think the main issue is that players say “I hate thieves! I can’t fight them”. Have you tried playing the build or class to learn their rotations? Have you learned that if you bomb the tiny little red circle called black powder you can disrupt their little game?

Well there’s the obvious reason, I would think amazon has better pay, hours, and support. Anyone in their position would the same to expand their resume and jump on that opportunity. My guess is they are left with many soldiers but few commanders at anet currently. And that’s gotta put things at a stand still progress wise. One guy in MO can’t do that, you’d go nuts. w

Then there’s the conspiracy theory, why did so many sr. staff leave? IMO, HoT really broke the entire game, communities dissolved, wvw..well we all know, dungeons became irrelevant, raids was not the big thing they hoped for, and pvp isn’t going to be an esport I’m sorry anet. I feel like HoT did the reverse of what you are suppose to get in a expansion.

If anything, the direction the last year is quite questionable whoever is steering the ship.

I run ghost thief when the map is outnumbered because it can be effective in causing delays to blobs if played right. I figure 1v40 with stealth is better than I’m visible blob me down please.

He’s gone and I’m leaving wvw with him…….wvw is dead anyway.

I feel kinda spoiled tbh. I’ve had some pretty good roaming the past few months on AR. Yes, I know it’s Tier I don’t care, but I do find it much more fun and opportunity is better than my T3 account.

I face just about every class in game so not sure why all the fuss about mesmers and thiefs. I mainly play necro and realize I’m the most lame slowest roaming class in the game, but I still have a good time and know I’m asking to get chased down easily by those oh so OP roaming guilds that make youtube vids Do I get ganked? Oh yeah…Do I get locked down easily by 2-3 players running cheese builds….you know it…Do I get mad?…..Nope cause I’m stupid for running necro as I get ganked more than any other class I think lol

Just go out, have fun and know it is just a game. Jabronis are going to throw siege on you, people are going to jump on you, and you have to realize that players running 5 man roaming crews are just having fun together in TS at your expense. Who cares what they emote or do, just a game.

Kinda agree. Whats the point of trying to defend if one ele spams their super power blob staff build with meteor shower and melts an ac?

I moved my second account to AR I want to say 4 or 5 months ago. I’ve never had so much fun on a server. It’s just the funny people and relaxed feel that kept me here. I find myself more and more spending time on AR rather than my T3 account. The fights are more fun, the roaming is better down here, and tags are laid back. I hope the fun times continue. AR definitely sparked my interest in wvw again because I was sorta giving up on the game for awhile there.

That Julie chick needs a medal for sure, she’s the face of the server. Our WWE champ! Even though I like to aggravate her.

Personally, necro here, the ones that run from roaming fights after you light them up are the most annoying….you know the classes I’m talking about

Roaming wise, this match up has been awesome. Met a lot of cool kaineng and sor roamers the past few days, nice fights and good attitudes

If they are going to stick with this sound effect at least have the necro warhorn skills inflict poison gas. I just played it for my fiance and said “you gotta here this!”. She left the room giggling so it’s not just me lol

You should take up woodworking. I did and I barely play wvw anymore. I’ve picked up some pretty awesome skills lately and can now build fancy shelves, flower beds, and taking on building a wooden fence around my yard. Don’t take the game serious…just a game. Go out there have some fun because this won’t matter a couple of years from now

I wish I took a screenshot long ago of a conversation but I formed a guild months ago called Karma Train Killers KTK made up of only 3 people. We commonly would defend towers wiping zergs in eotm. I seem to remember probably drinking too much wine one night and reporting to the EoTM commander that “the enemy has been eliminated commander!” in mapchat repeatedly. He PMd me calling me some pretty nasty names, saying I ruined his karma train and that he was in team speak with the other servers trying to maximize the experience and karma for all three trains and I “need” to stop defending. I kept it up for a few more weeks but got bored wiping the really awful EoTM players because two acs and they couldn’t handle it and would break off the tower or keep, catching on after seeing the KTK tag after awhile.

I’d be up for trolling them again if there’s a guild forming up, seems like this is the new fun to do thing for vets who’ve been around since launch who are bored with wvw.

I have two accounts, one on FA and I moved my other to Anvil Rock about a month ago. T2 is just a blob fest to me I guess and ques ques ques….What I like about AR is that I can sign in, enter any map I please, and just roam. You will get ganked from time to time by a wild group of blood thirsty thiefs, every server has them regardless of what tier you’re on, but it is rare from what I’ve seen down in T6 so far. AR is fully capable of taking 15 players, no tag and wiping a group twice their size easily. The players awareness is pretty impressive. They don’t use teamspeak much and don’t rag on you if you are not using it. What I like is that you can come across a small crew of 3-5 and just hang out with them without even saying a word to each other and take camps and towers.

I’m sure I’ll get hate from T2, but the fights down here are more fun and epic. I haven’t seen much blobbing tbh from the T6 crews. It feels like launch honestly, where fights were somewhat even and small guilds could pull off some awesome tactics. Battles at towers and keeps are amazing, I’m loving it so far.

And for my final insult, the roamers are better down here in my experience. I’m not sure if they are so use to fighting outnumbered or been roaming so long they just know how to handle their class, but then again my main is on FA and hands down they have some awesome fighters on that server so hanging around some of those guys you have a comfort zone that they’ll carry the fight against the other T2 groups.
