How do i go about stacking might with longbow? I didn’t find any traits for that
Your F1 ability is a fire field. Use any blast finishers inside this to stack might. It’s not really a trait thing for LB. Stacking might in traits comes from the might on crit with GS.
I missed the news that this was going to be added in, but I must say, this is a fantastic idea and I am so happy that it’s going to be implemented. Makes the wait to play my new main all the more unbearable!
I’m not even bothering collecting a huge amount of tomes since I’ll have to do almost every skillpoint challenge in the game in order to unlock Herald all the way. This comes with a bunch of levels from all the exploration.
But ya, I’m prepping. I had more fun with the revenant in the beta weekend than I’ve had in quite some time (not that I haven’t been enjoying the game, rev is just that awesome).
While I agree with everything you’re saying and have similar complaints to others in the thread (not finishing your dailies especially grinds my gears), I still like the map because it’s a fun, simple change of pace. Sometimes, I just want to kill some people without having to worry about anything else.
I think that this is part of the theme of mesmers. It only makes sense that there should be some confusion when someone is going in and out of stealth and creating clones. Having you automatically retarget the player for a mesmer sort of mitigates what I find makes them unique.
Minion necromancers is another story though. The clutter of all the minions swarming around them does make the fight a lot harder than it should be. They basically have a distinct advantage in that they are attacking you first. This confusion theme doesn’t really go with them.
However, I don’t think they should have the autoretarget for one and not the other, so I say leave it as is and let people get better at dealing with them. I say this as someone who regularly loses completely winnable 1v1s to minion masters.
“I feel six feet tall!” Always puts a smile on my face when my happy little warrior charges into battle.
Hello,
I asked the head of the GW2 Design Team about whether we would be making changes and rerunning it, extending it, or repeating it as it currently is designed. At this time, we are not going to extend the event, nor do we have plans at this time to repeat it, either amended or in its current form.
The Mordrem Invasion event will run through its allotted time. It ends at 9:00 AM tomorrow, Monday. As explained in my earlier thread, no changes will be made to the event beyond the fixes that were made on Thursday and, of course, the distribution of earned rewards for those who were impacted by that bug. (The bug ran from 9:00 AM until about 4:00 PM Pacific time. If you earned blooms during that period but did not receive them or received fewer than the intended amount, they will be sent to you via in-game mail. NPCs will remain in place — particularly in the Priory.
I hope this info is helpful to you. And thanks to those of you who provided constructive suggestions about the event — your thoughts are very appreciated. What’s constructive: “Rewards might be [this]” or “I like the rewards in [that] and suggest you adopt that system for this sort of event.” What’s not constructive: “Rewards are bad” (with absolutely no suggestions for how they might be improved).
I think you guys get it, and I understand that some of you are pretty “hot under the collar” about the event. But please try to give us ideas we can work with — that’s to everyone’s benefit.
Will we be getting the Daily chests handed out to us since the bug happened before the reset? This would be important to know for a lot of people’s calculations on how many blooms they need to farm before the event ends.
Wait…. people sell AC?! Why? I’ve never seen that in LFG. What are you selling it for? 30 silver?
Why not do events similar to the ones in HoT to get people more excited for it? This is supposed to be introducing the Mordrem for new players and all they are seeing are a bunch of enemies that die in seconds while grinding repetitive events. If I hadn’t played the beta and seen the awesome stuff HoT is offering, there’s no way I’d be excited for it.
I really don’t care that much about the reward structure. Actually having fun should be the main concern. If you’re not having fun, who cares about the rewards? I don’t know about other people, but if I’m not having fun in a game, I just don’t play it. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of new players just stop playing after this event. Personally, it’s by far the least fun thing I’ve played in my 8 months of owning the game.
Mesmer sounds most like what you’re after. However, I have zero familiarity with the character you are talking about so I can’t really comment on how much you could make your mesmer be like them.
Mesmer sword skill 2 kind of embodies a lot of what you’re talking about. You evade attacks while also striking your enemies.
The mesmer’s core mechanic is generating clones/phantasms and either shattering them or keeping them around to deal damage. This may not be in line with what you’re thinking of.
If it’s simply the heavy armor aspect of the revenant that is turning you off of it, keep in mind that not every armor set is huge and bulky. You can still look like a fast duelist, while actually being one. From a skill set standpoint, rev is probably what you’re looking for.
Here are some heavy armors that you can look at to see if any fit the swordsman you’re thinking of: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Human_male_heavy_armor
Keep in mind that stats don’t matter since you can transmute a skin to have whatever stats you currently have equipped. Also, you can hide pieces of armor, so if you don’t want your swordsman to be wearing a helmet, you can hide it while not taking any sort of stat loss.
There’s a reason people call this game Fashion Wars 2.
I wouldn’t even mind the rewards being low if the event was actually any fun. Unfortunately, it’s probably the most boring thing I’ve ever done in this game. At least with chest trains you can put on a podcast and zone out. With this, you need to be frantically running around the map, trying to tag enemies, so it’s harder to tune it out.
GW2 pvp is not balanced around dueling (it’s not balanced in general, but that’s been said in countless other threads). Due to things like stealth, there are some classes that are simply better than others for 1v1s. Being able to disengage and reengage at will when there’s nothing on the line (capturing a point) is a pretty huge benefit. That’s not to say that other classes don’t have their roles in spvp.
Also, some builds simply counter others. Granted, you can still win against someone who counters you if you are more skilled than them.
[Suggestion]:Return best burn to Ele/Tempest
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I assure you, after playing the Berserker in the beta, you have nothing to worry about. You don’t even come close to the ludicrous amounts of burn that Ele is capable of. If anything, Berserker needs a buff and Ele needs to be toned down.
But you probably already knew that and just made this topic for fun…. right?

Because I said so. Yes, it’s true: do not blame ANET for your woes, for it was I who made them charge for Heart of Thorns. They didn’t want to make any money, but I told them to because I’m a jerk like that.
The beautiful irony is that the people who think about only themselves will be the first to get the tonic devoted to selflessness.
Of course, they could always go for the more fitting option.
Okay, I had a feeling that this might be the case. Thanks for the clarification!
Ignoring the issues surrounding the Mordrem Invasion, let’s take a look at what they might mean for the game story-wise.
It seems to me that the Nightmare Court are in fact working with them due to their presence with them in the Brisban Wilds. This could merely be them spawning near each other and not being coded to fight one and other, but who knows.
I’ve only played 2/3 maps and haven’t noticed any other instances of Mordrem working with other enemies. Do you think this was just an oversight, or could the Nightmare Court really be siding with Mordremoth.
If that is the case, what are your thoughts on this potential alliance? I would have preferred this not to happen since the Nightmare Court seems to oppose being controlled by ANYONE. Not just the Pale Tree. Also, it’s not as if they have fallen to the corruption of Mordremoth due to being weak willed since they would have turned into Mordrem guards. At least, I think that’s how it works. Not 100% sure.
