It’s a pain. I use next target as at least I can cycle through and have an idea of how many buttons it will take. It’s not fast enough for high stealth classes though unless it’s right on the first try. Sometimes clicking just will not target.
Two things I think would help immensely.
1. Always prioritize players in target order or at least give us an option to remove walls, gates, random animals etc.
2. If I’m basically clicking on a player I want to target them. The game needs to pick up on this a bit better. I can’t be spam clicking someone trying to target them while 10 others are trying to kill me.
You can’t fight anywhere without 3 or 4 long bows trying to rapid fire you from another continent and a bunch of rev pets doing their silly unrelenting assualt impersonation and then pooping out blind fields on your feet just to troll.
It’s all good though as long as I have a launch off cd. Got to teach those little monsters how to fly.
As for zerg meta, it’s hilariously boring atm anyway. I’ve been running a lvl 60 ele in blue gear in T2 fights and it does just fine. Barrage is nice, piercing is nice too if you want to try and fit marksman in. Just don’t fire right into the melee train and 80% of your reflect problems are solved. Druids are great for being able to hit from the side a bit and still having the ability to disengage when you pizz off the blob. Get 2 or 3 good downs you’ll notice the com will go nuts and push right onto them.
Whats broken about warrior is the amount of healling available while using full berserker/marauder. No toughness needed or healling power at all. same as druids. no class should get so much gealling uf not geared up for it. if they nerfed even more signet and AH then they would have to sacrifice dps in order to get that survival. no more big numbers with litle sacrifice. dont really care if someone comes defend this because its to scared of loosing their confortable near op build , should be like this and thats that.
Try the same build without berserker and suddenly it becomes balanced. Deny the warrior it’s burst skill and no more 900+up/s healing and it becomes very easy to deny as adrenaline takes time to build up, a lot longer than berserker and it’s 1 bar =T3 burst.
The problem is the spammable T3 burst skills on berserker and in some parts the 20s cool down headbutt allowing for easy access to berserk mode.
Easiest solution is to make primal bursts count as a T1 or T2 burst skill, you can adjust the numbers for damage so they stay the same if needed and make it a WvW/PvP only change so they aren’t affected in PvE.
Sorry but no. If u want super dps you should not have that amazing sustain. its basic knowledge on every mmo the harder u hit the squishier you are. only here this does not aply. Use other tools utilitys traits to get more adrenaline wich you have. like i said no one wants this changed because they r too confortable being near perfect. theres no need to sacrifice damage to survive. Can you not see that? MOre damage less survival, more survival less damage. its how it should be always. if you dont understand a 20k berserker warrior full of tough with awesome survival and dps is broken you r blind.
I’ve beaten core warriors on core mesmer, it’s super easy when you deny the burst as all that great healing you’re complaining about is easily denied. I see that this high regen is tied to 2 factors on core warrior:
1) Building adrenaline.
2) Hitting with a fairly well telegraphed skill (exception bow burst).On core warrior building adrenaline is much harder than berserker and many do invest quite heavily in it. Adrenaline generators that core warriors use are: Signet of rage, cleansing ire, versatile rage, berserker stance and they conserve it with burst mastery. Adrenal healing also doesn’t stack so you can’t get a large heal when you need it.
T1 burst: 2475 healing over 15s. 165 health/s
T2 burst: 4950 healing over 15s. 300 health/s
T3 burst: 7425 healing over 15s. 495 health/sIt’s fair on core warrior, because a core warriors adrenaline access requires investment to build at a decent pace and is nicely telegraphed. Go compare core warrior and berserker with the two builds (substitute strength line for berserker on core) and you will see a massive difference. The problem is the elite spec and nerfing core traits for an elite spec creates more balance problems down the line when it becomes useless without this 1 elite spec.
Edit: Forgot to mention core warrior also is more susceptible to hard CC as they can’t pick eternal champion or outrage/headbutt for the extra stunbreaks and adrenaline gain. You can use this to keep denying burst and control warriors. As I say elite spec problem not core warrior problem.
So easy to land that burst on Mesmer clones…but yeah core warrior is easier to handle. Burst skills aren’t as spammy, not as much stab and no head butt to worry about. Really easy to land a free head butt on clones or ranger pet too. Once regen gets going it’s like having a solid, uninterruptible heal every 5 or 6 seconds.
DH moving and acting normal pulls out a full ji and burst rotation in fractions of a second. People practice those rotations so I expect decent players to be fast + Internet can play some neat tricks. I’ve run into a couple that I was pretty sure of though. Really popular for thieves in wvw for example. Steal cnd backstab is an easy one. For me that’s just r51 so wouldn’t be too fancy anyway.

The devs have said it’s not their job to communicate to the community, which is why they hire community reps and send lower ranking employees to deliver their canned messages about whatever changes for a patch.
Many of the devs that were here for GW2’s release are not even here anymore.

Meh I’m a dev and I hate talking with clients. Try working for marketing guys. They want to talk on the phone for hours, piling on work and never letting you actually get anything done.
Just having someone from anet around is a good thing. Actual dev team hours are probably better spent on the game anyway.
Yeah, I bet. That lack of communication has totally allowed for pets to hit moving targets, for power necro let alone greatsword to be a thing, and it totally didn’t take them over 3 years just so their PvE content didn’t obliterate pet/minion classes out of relevance (which still happens in WvW) because they pepper combat systems with omnipresent aoe, and somehow the strongest aoe classes are also the strongest single target ones since apparently aoe attacks don’t have a penalty in this game.
Oh, wait, it didn’t. Go figure, developers don’t necessarily know better than the people who spend unholy amount of hours playtesting builds and classes.

Every profession has your peculiarity and you are describing warrior peculiarities like if they all broken. I dont understand your point.
I’m not describing warrior peculiarities as broken. Just saying its a heck of a lot to cram in a single build and still be able to run so well. Pvp amulets are more restrictive so it’s probably easier to counter there + you got to fight in circles.
Warrior was my first class and I still run it sometimes. Im fairly familiar with the weapons/skills/traits…though I’m pretty terrible at warrior overall. I can still do pretty well unless I get ganged up on.
Warrior is really easy to play atm… just like any other hots spec. But broken? If you see someone winning a 3v1 that means one thing: A good player killing very bad players. No matter what profession or build the good player is running, he will always kill bad players if he is good at that profession. You cant say something is broken in that scenario. After that, not even worth to talk about the other “broken” things on warrior… Sorry my bad english
Eh highest base hp/armor, great mobility, near invuln to immob, passive stun breaks and stab, stupid amount of gap closers and stun breaks, passive invuln with no down side, great resistance and stab uptime, solid uptime on unblockable, active invuln with no down side, weapon evade that does great dmg, a decent block/reflect on most builds, spammable burst skills and big hits, crazy stupid regen that often near counters condi by itself.
Some pretty good stuff there and most or all of it can be crammed into one build. There are some pretty stupid things you can pull off with sentinel or other weird armor combos too. If you ever want to hit like a truck but have near 40k hp for example.
Having to chase it across the map just adds insult to injury.
Even cheap food/utility is capable of adding 250 to 300 power to a build. Even better running 20% boon duration and having crits add 6 or 7 stacks of might passively based on food alone.
That boon duration food though. On the right build it can increase uptime of crazy boons like might, prot, quickness, res by quite a bit + add tons of passive might via crits. There is a dmg reduc food that gives boon duration but the might without cd is too nice to pass up for me most times.
They are really really annoying. You can’t cc them to keep them around. Immob is useless on them. Chill has some potential at least…if resistance isn’t up.
A thief could keep up for a bit but in no real shape to fight at that point. I don’t see any other class keeping up except maybe mes with some f5/mimic/blink hi jinx.
Thing is its kind of fun to play. I’m a terrible warrior and was wrecking things just pushing buttons. 1v2s 1v3s. You feel pretty immortal until you get ganged up on or meet someone that really knows what they’re doing. You can throw marauders + zerk on and be stupid amounts of tanky still.
There’s a certain level of fail to be found here. And a certain level of rofl.

Yep they are stupid expensive to make and won’t help at all when the random necro pushes the epidemic button.
Seen some very strange uses of temporal curtain too. Some people are able to drop aoes in places my los never reaches…inner edge of a wall for example. It doesn’t happen often and you can usually identify exactly who’s doing it and avoid. I’ve been pulled up the stairs and to the edge from the other side of the wall though. Not sure if it’s something you can pull off with action camera or what.
Ive seen meteor showers set nearly halfway past the edge of the wall.
So why a “High” server like Dragonbrand has 2 other links?
For a High server DB was performing very poorly at T4 against Linked Medium ones.
Well, being linked under them now, I can say that they really don’t seem to coordinate, with themselves or others.

Would you elaborate why or you are just hating for the sake of hate? I would like to hear why you think that a system that actually breathe some life in servers that had empty maps most of the time is so bad.
Sorry but all of you low tier people that are matched up with Higher Populations Servers need to learn to fight properly in WvW. It is not your fault to you a Zerg is 15-20. To us a Zerg is at least 50+. You (for the most part) are unwilling to learn proper techniques.
You do not get into TS even though invited to do so. You run kitten builds and can not fight . Therefore you bring down the server your paired with. If you were willing to learn proper fighting techniques, and learn to run proper builds everyone experience would be so much better! But until these lower tier servers learn this stuff, they need not be linked with higher population servers.
Many of the low pop servers don’t have the population to make that much difference. It’s very likely the high pop servers have as many nubs and free bags on them as the low pop servers do population.
It’s easy to use the link as an excuse but many T1 servers just cannot fight unless they have guild groups running. Yes, even mag/bg/tc. We all like to pretend our server is the fight server until another time zone is getting pushed by inferior numbers because it’s not as organized. Or a particular guild group keeps yoloing 20 into 50 over and over again, tanking KDR.

PPK matters a lot more in the new skirmish setup…a very good thing imo. That being said, some play styles just suck. So boring when one side is playing a completely different game.
That annoying moment when you’re running 3k armor + DMG reduc food and a random warrior scores a 10k gun flame on you from across the map.
T1 and T2 lot of blobbing but not really that bad. If you’re trying to solo roam in ebg you had better be on a troll build though.
T4…depends on what you’re after. Disorganized chaos I generally love. Everyone going down like they’re made of cheap paper gets old really quick.
T3 and T4 big dead spaces. Sometimes a server will have a blob and 1 or 2 will be sleeping or whatever so ktrain.
T1 and T2 is more even usually. If a server is stacked in a timezone the other servers tend have at least some roaming or doing dmg control.
Skirmish changes are awsome imo. You can rack up quite a bit of warscore just by killing and not dying. Servers can’t get away with running map blob ktrains with .4 kdr and roamers can contribute quite a bit just killing things. Just don’t get farmed. 2 or 3 pts every time you get double downed.
I love blowing up the guy on the cata that thinks they’re safe. Probably needs fixed but will steal a bit of my joy.
I’ve felt bad a couple of times for hitting a roamer that was obviously confused, didn’t know their buttons etc etc. I’ve let a few go with warning shots too. Just depends on the situation. Usually taking a good chunk of hp is enough for them to disengage.
If an ally dies in like a 5v1 and isn’t new…I may just start dropping rams on them.
Bust out the zerk lb druid and go reaper hunting. Sometimes they run in little groups like elk. You can knock them down and immobilize so far away that they can’t transfer. The poor things make great targets and it’s fun watching them try to escape.
Sometimes they bust out the staff and try to fight back from range…but the projectiles are almost as slow as their half viable, ancient heal.
They will always excel at drawing circles on the ground.
I like the piƱata icon thing with maybe a navigation assist. Instead of “there’s a hero point nearby” or whatever it could be “some idiot is playing a necro this way”
Banished once again to a dead tier. Saw 5 open field ACs thrown twice because we couldn’t push our own tower. Shortly after, someone patched the gate/wall both times. Enemies are wearing paper armor and hit like mosquitos. Keep runs 100ish sup with no siege up or recent attacks. People dropping like flies in 10v4 vs paper enemies.
I’m sure it’s just the new link settling in. I’m just being dramatic. Feels bad man…

Just need to limit cannon stacking. If you’re being hit with more than 2 there’s an issue. Getting hit with 4 or 5 every second or 2 is just plain stupid.
I think the frog camp should get sick of the stupid players every once in awhile. 400 vet frogs and 10 champions should throw siege and start taking the map. Those boring hours when nothing is happening…

Pvp amulet restrictions help a lot. Wvw a build with 20k to 30k hp and 3k toughness can drop a 5k burn tic on you with a macro. Some of the argument may be carrying over from that.
Pvp is probably more balanced.
It’s a troll build. The point isn’t raw dmg. More give the pet might and eat whoever will let themselves get eaten while staff auto chips away. Kite people out and kill all the squishies. Double pet burst with quickness + immob and staff auto hurts if it lands.
It’s a good build for trolling but it takes a lot of patience and positioning to really make it work. It’s really really boring too. Similar to some tempest builds in that it can be very very hard to kill if played right but it can still get kills.
With 25 might it will actually hit pretty hard at times too. Has to run from heavy condi or cc.

Not really. With like 400 healing power I heal ~6.5k casting lunar beam + rejunvenating tides.
The balance came with the 15sec hard cooldown on Celestial Avatar.
That and the nerf to ancestral grace.
But I doubt either of those nerfs were enough to make any of the bunker druids change their builds (maybe they had to add a bit more healing gear). My fear is that all these nerfs accomplished was to force a lot of glassy druids to pick up bunker gear to compensate.
Yeah this. Kind of the opposite of what I was hoping for. The disconnect between the player and pets re: stats means a druid can even go nomad or minstrel and still do decent damage. The extra 5 secs on ca hurts but bunker is much more forgiving than running glass.
Necromancer is forever a class that relies on other players to be around to achieve its potential.

Just change it so a player can only go into downed state once every 2 min. Anything more than that and they insta die.
I think this is a solution/compromise everyone can get behind. It doesn’t require retweaking of rez’ing skills or anything.
Honestly I’d be fine with a 60 second cd on downed state. Combined with minimum 20-30 seconds of downed penalty.
Can we have a pool to remove downstate from wvw?

Just because they have the stats, doesn’t mean they are traited to be bunker… A rabid necro with Undead runes maybe be tanky (3k armor and 20k HP + 13k Life Force) but it will never be more annoying than a minstrel druid with healing traits.
Eh I wouldn’t use the term bunker anywhere near a necro. You also don’t have to go full bunker stupid to do a boatload of condi dmg and be very hard to kill.
As for best condi roamer Id say thief at this point (tho op already has one). Warrior is predictable and boring. Mes is boring unless you’re great at it and can pro troll. Necro is yolo roamer. Rev is nerf batted to hell. Ranger is good but op has one. Engi is good but op has one.
Could try dh or ele if you’re brave. Either of these could actually be interesting with some celestial or as hybrids. Both have access to burn in power builds and ele has a couple of traits that add a boatload of condi dmg based on toughness and power.

Siege cap would restrict artistic freedom.
Just nerf it. No down state = no stomping = no fun.
So far the cannons have made zero difference in WvW that I’ve seen.
Maybe the pvd crowd has some more obstacles to overcome than before, but a few change of tactics can overcome siege.
