one of the very first christmas gifts I opened in a level 50 area had the exotic unbreakable bell in it. I pay little attention to the special events so I had no idea what it was. just thought " a bell…what the kitten would i need that for? maybe i can sell it for a few silver or something"

thats the only exotic drop i’ve had, but now I can gear up all my toons

I bought gems after the last patch. That was my thank you.

i also would like it back it back. i went out on my warrior to check out some armor sets on heart venders with my level 80 warrior so i could decide which zones to work my ele in so i didn’t have to “explore” things i had already explored and could be a little more targeted on my alt.

so far this is the only thing they’ve changed since launch that erks me

I glitched out and fell through the floor in a cave in the blood tide coast yesterday. I was swimming around looking up through an invisible floor at all the rissen standing above me but couldn’t get out anywhere and had to waypoint. Not even sure how it happened. I hit death blossom and went right through the ground on the other side of my target.

you can put the new runeover top of the old one, but there is no way to remove the old one without destroying the armor. You have to sacrafice either the armor piece, or the rune. Sorry.

Nobody GAVE a kitten about underwater because it needed fixing. I personally love the underwater environments from an exploration point of view, but don’t spend the time I would like in them because of combat issues.

I’m glad they are investing time into underwater stuff. A good percentage of the world is underwater Including many interesting ruins. It was clearly a major part of the general design of the game. I’d hate to see that neglected.

are the mobs that spawn in plains of ashford supposed to be level 31? i was handling the ones everywhere else just fine, but in the planes i’m scaled down to lvl 12 and the skrit and ventari that spawn are level 31. that seems bugged to me

Sounds like it’s legal (usually is in most game). But I’m trying to figure out how making a single sweep across a map while farming resources nodes and ending up with twice as many (or more) in the same amount of time as everyone else (thanks to multi-boxing) isn’t an advantage. That’s one “non-advantage” I’m sure we all wish we had.

in this case you have exactly the same earning potential as someone who does it 5 separate times on 5 chars instead of once with all 5. sure, it takes you a fraction of the time, but you still need the nodes to reset.

I would suspect the DDE stuff is tied to the serial key you get when you buy it, and therefore tied to the account it activates.

i’ve gotten a lot of dyes from plants. I’d say that’s where i got at least half of mine from. like edge says…nothing new.

not going to lie. I didn’t read your whole post…ADHD orwhat have you… but I will coment on the first 2 points. I agree completely that they were 2 things I loved about GW1 as well. But they weren’t there at launch.

PVE in GW1 was very pigeon holed from the start because the skill variety wasn’t there. My nuker ele played with the same build pretty much from kryta to hells precepice, save for the addition of elites. I would switch to air or earth for pvp, but I was still pretty much using the same few skills from each.

The average player also could’t level an alt from 1-20 within a week. Not until factions launched. factions changed the pace of leveling a lot and added a lot of the things people claim they miss most.

what does this mean? it means there’s hope. A huge part of ANETS business plan involves selling expansions. If the had released a game with everything we wanted right from launch they would be shooting themselves in the foot or be left with nothing to add but something silly like pandas.

The future of the game is in future expansions. We just have to hope it involves into something as good as GW1 did.

skill points are unlimited. you keep getting them after 80 every time you fill your xp bar so you can unlock every skill and not worry. trait points can be reset for a small fee at any trainer. you also get to redo all your trait points each time you buy the next level book. spend away, you can’t do it wrong.

Wouldn’t 2 jugs of karma from dailies or map completion give you 9 grand? seems to me that should be achievable at any level.

they did think about it. The removal of dedicated healers and tanks was very deliberately done. You’re probably right, If you love to be a healer this game is definitely not for you.

i dunno. Christmas means new games and I might go a month or 2 without playing GW, but I know I will be back. There’s no sub, and thats why I can do this. I’d hate to come back and find my server full and inaccessable to me just because i took a short break. Am I dead weight because I might choose to wrap AC3 for a couple of weeks then come back to GW?

I didn’t realize we were supposed to “compete” with bots. I prefer to just ignore them and move on. They come, they go. They’re Anets battle and Anet has proven that they are dealing with them.

a better way to end the missery would be for people to realize life isn’t always fair. Anet is trying their best. The chest really isn’t the most important thing in the world and we should all just move on.

I’ve come across these as well. I walked up to a tree to cut it down the next thing I heard was a Arhghghgg sound as a bot logged in dead next to the tree and 2 seconds later disappeared again. It was pretty funny actually

haha…I’ve seen this a few times too. just a dead ranger in it’s underwear dropping from nowhere with a death groan. Not sure what kills them, but I smile when it happens.

I make more money when i’m not trying to than when I decide to farm. wander through a zone…any zone… killing and harvesting as you get from point A to point. list as much as you can on the TP andvendor the rest. This seems to be the best way to earn money for me.

I really think everything has been way to cheap since launch. Nothing had any real value. everything was on the TP for 1c over merchant prices.

What I see now is things starting to actually become valued as more and more people find uses for them.

Prices on things don’t seem to high to me right now, but they’ve seemed awull low for the past 3 months.

i keep telling myself it would make much more sense to sell un id’d and buy the colors I want. I just can’t get past the curiosity when I get one though. So i have a lot of unlocked colors I’ll never use because it just wasn’t worth selling once I id’d it

yeah. at the very least have a melee and a ranged set. you wont have to swap on the fly so the skill shuffling will be minimal. but you can still pull/ fight large boss battles at range if needed.

No. it’s several mini games all stiched together into one persistant world. That’s where the viriety in things to do comes from. And the appeal to more casual gamers.

I can log in here with a short term goal like “tonight I will finish lornars pass.” play for 45 minutes and feel like i accomplished something. If i still feel like playing, I switch from the map completion mini game to the daily completion mini game. or maybe I go play the pvp mini game…or a dungeon mini game.

It looks like a big macy’s ballon to me. I think it’s well inline with the pact airships we already have

i got all my minatures in gw1 from character birthday preasents( all my toons over a 7 year time span earned me a TON of them this way). They may go that rout here too. I’ve been wondering myself where you get them in GW2.

The only GW2 ones I have so far I got from HoM rewards….because of all the mminatures i got from GW1.

I got to lvl 80 the first time with natural progression through the story ie: I played my story mission when i was close to the recomended level and otherwise stuck around the green marker gaining the extra levels needed playing in the zones the story took me to.

I didn’t do a lot of exploring outside of where I was prodded to go. I ended up lvl 80 at fort trinity with 36% map completion. I still had tons to do.

GW2. as much as I loved GW1 I stopped playing it long ago because the core mechanics of the gameplay got stale to me. Barely touched the Eye of the north content and didn’t play any of beyond.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you played the kitten out of this game already and got your moneys worth. Now it may be time to move on to something else. But that doesn’t mean they owe you anything.

I would not be asking for a refund if I had played this game to any extend. I got 1 character – its lvl 60 and I have not been able to play the game since I did few of the PVE dungeons. Cause the experience was so bad.. that I just could not belive that a game would release with such lackluster feature.

It has now been 2 months since I played that and nothing has improved other than few balancing issues of the class. I do not intend to play this game for PVP and havn’t bothered with it. So the PVE content needs to strengthen alot.

I can well live with no trinity game – but then players need to have the tools and the content to play the pve in enjoyable manner. Thats not the case atm. I know I base that on just few dungeon runs. But thats exactly the case. I did not play the crap out of the game – I just got to a point where I saw the game was not delivering for what Im after.

So ye… I consider myself to still be in line for refund. I also payed 20$ for gems that I will not ask for refund on so I Anet will still have some of my money.

personally i do all my crafting and banking in DR or the grove. I rarely go to L.A. I like the other cities better.

But the other races do seem to believe in the human gods. they just don’t revere them as humans do. They leave the humans do draw what they need from their gods while they seek it from other sources.

My sylvari had to do a favor for a reaper of grenth in order to get info out of him. I don’t remeber him saying “why should I help you…grenth isn’t real”.

I could be way off here, but I think people put way to much emphasis on the dragons when it comes to sylvari. Part of this is because of the way the tutorial is presented. As a race, the sylvari have no more to do with the dragons than any other race. The sylvari were not created to defend the tree against the dragons.

Lore wise, the player character and caithe are the only 2 sylvari who’s wylde hunt is to kill the dragons. treherns was to cleans orr. The rest of the sylvari are there to do something else entirely.

The sylvari fill the needs of the pale tree in any way needed. I don’t think they were created for any single purpose. The tree needs something, a sylvari is created, and it’s dream grooms it for the task at hand.

I’m pretty sure they will exsist as a race on tyria long after the Dragon threat has come and gone. Still filling the needs of the pale tree as they arise.

what they feel they need to do, or not do, will all come down to the one thing we as players cannot gauge.

Revenue stream/sales.

the forums have been a flame fest since the patch, but if the game has been flying off the shelves ever since then they will stick to their guns and say there is no problem. If their sales have dropped off, they will do whatever is necissary to fix it.

Judging by how busy queensdale has been on my server lately I would have to guess that the influx of new players has increased in the last week. But i’m just guessing. I don’t have the sales numbers.
