As for account to account transfers, nope. Its not a feature at this time.

There arent thousand and thousands of people that got hacked. And those who do get hacked, 99% of the compromises are caused by their own failings. Bad passwords, keyloggers, compromised email accounts etc.

Also note that when you get your account back, any items and currency that are missing cannot be restored.

Go to character selecvt and look in the bottom left corner. Choose realm or server selection. On the server selection screen, choose the new server and click transfer.

If you dont report it, then you are a bad as those that spam.

Send in the ticket and wait. Just remember, when you get the character back, cross your fingers and hope they left the gear and money, because ArenaNet will not restore missing items or currency.

You’ll be fine. Your comp MIGHT get a little warm, but a cooling pad can help. I dont think youll have any issues though.

I think you mean it has the POTENTIAL to be an absolutely amazing game. Which it does. However it is a long way off right now.

It can do, yes. However CPU from mid i5 range and up should handle it perfectly fine. Especially if only on one monitor. Having 6-8GB ram+ would help out too. Especially since RAM is very cheap right now.

Their priority should be both. Not to solely concentrate on one single aspect. A dev team that isn’t split up into specific areas of the game, so that all aspects are being worked on simultaneously is a very very unorganised team and is doomed to failure.

ALso remember what the devs have said. The DE’s are on a cycle. Sometimes they can chain another 3 -4 events in the same area, or even lead off to another and chain more. These events also dont always happen immediately. They could take hours, days, or in some DE chains, weeks.

No. They should be listening to BOTH sides, and not just the ones that pat them on their backs simply for making a video game.

I use ATI cards, so i have to use third party software. But i wouldnt change these cards for anything. Quad SLI with 3 monitors ( soon to be 6) on eyefinity. And before you ask, no, this system isnt mainly used for games.

Then all you should need are 3D glasses, which should be relatively cheap depending where you go.

Just remember to find out what type of 3D system it is as the glasses are made differently and wont give you the same effect.

Also realise that a LOT of tickets being submitted are for really stupid things. Things such as " How do i find the jumping puzzle in metrica province", and other things along those lines.

If its anything like wow, the vast majority of tickets being submitted are for very dumb reasons or for fraudulant claims. But each and everyone still needs to be investigated and answered.

When people talk about balance and numbers ( theorycrafting) the best way to prove somethign isnt working as it should is in pvp or against the target dummies. The DE’s are just a side distraction.

This game as huge and lots of glaring bugs. Some which completely destroy certain types of gameplay or class specs. Necromancers Minions for example. Even rangers pets pathing is currently bugged, not to mention their F2 skill not firing.

Send in another ticket. Its been happening to a few people. They can and will fix it, but you need to make that ticket and explain things.

There are 2 million people + playing this game. Consider 3 regions that the game is being played in. Now consider that the game has no sub and relies purely on the RMT post to keep the game running. Plus the fact that its only been live for 3 weeks.

Now consider all that plus the need for 24/7 support.

Thats why support seems non-existant right now.

If it helps, theyve outsourced some of the support to NCsoft, so at least things are moving, albeit slowly.

While you are waiting for your ticket to be serviced, you need to find the point of compromise. Just remember though, ( and this is the sad thing) that ArenaNet do NOT offer a restoration service. The game was released too early in order to compete with Wow’s expansion and therefore the devs had to sacrifice some aspects of the game for later release.

Nope. Glasses are pretty cheap depending on the type of 3D system you use. Most support Real3D, so you can use the classes from your local movie theatre.

Also, you will probably need a 3D monitor as well to interpret the info generated by the GPU.

Well, we know for a fact that they are using NCsoft support atm. Mainly because hundreds of people have received replies relating to Aion and not GW2.

The only thing we can do is give it time. After all, its a no sub game, so we cant expect full MMO support. Especially when theyre relying on the RMT trading post to generate revenue.

If they got your details, then it’s 99% certain of what i said. Of course, the servers database could have been compromised, but we have no proof of that. Plus they are required by law to inform the players of any issue.

You say that you know how to spot keyloggers etc on your system, however you fail to understand that keyloggers are adapting every day. There were 3 keyloggers for WoW that were completely undetectable by pretty much every anti virus or malware scanner there is. They were only found when a person from malwarebytes decided to use their free time and study affected computers in detail.

You need to make 100000% sure, using multiple anti virus apps, and anti malware apps, that your system is 100% secure.

Also, you said that you created a new email just for this game. The most obvious thing that stands out is a keylogger was already on your comp, and recorded you creating the email. Also remember that when a keylogger isnt in use, many can lay dormant and completely undetectable.

Examples of that are the ones for WoW, where they went undetectable until the login screen was open. Blizzard then made it a default check to open the login screen with junk in the user and password boxes, then to scan. Dozens of keyloggers were found this way.

Report them again. If someone is botting or exploiting, they will not be banned immediately. It will be investigated so the devs know what is happening and they can stop it.

It might even be that the character in question isn’t performing an exploit. However, only the devs have the final say on that.

You need to make sure that all bugs are being reported along with full descriptions and the acts that lead up to the bug ( especially in combat situations).

Your highlighted example could have been something as simple as one of your party pulled aggro while standing in a certain area of the map, this caused a bug to appear.

As you mentioned, all bugs can be fixed, but if people arent giving the developers full details/explanations, it is extremely hard for them to do their jobs. Simply because they are having to rely on guesswork, whereas with a solid detailing of the issue, then can easily go to the specific area of code that is causing the trouble and check it out.

There is no player to player trade in this game, and going by Arenanets latest comments, there never will be.

Who knows the exact reason why, but rumour suggests that when they ditched their first engine and decided to remake it, there simply wasnt enough time to introduce one, and to add it now would mean a major redesign of the core engine.

If youre getting a headache after only a few mins, then your system isnt configured correctly. If it is configured properly, youll never get a headache or eyestrain, unless you are playing for an extended amount of time.

Arenanets policy is that PvP will always be a side game and should not affect the PvE game in any way. Gw1 managed fine and still does. Theres no reason at all for “pvp servers” in gw2, unless you are really that kind of player who needs someone to stroke your ego, or simply because you want to gank those lower levelled or lower geared than yourself.

Depends on your GPU and If your gpu supports it. You would then need a certain type of monitor in order to see the resulting image.

Wait till you get to level 40+ and the big game bugs start glaring at you…

They are always open. People will simply get put into an overflow server until theres space on the actual one.

As time goes on and populations spread around the game, there will be less reliance on the overflow server, so most will be straight into the game.

They got in because either your email was compromised, you have a keylogger on your computer, or you use the same password and email combo on fansites.

They dont just guess your password.

He needs to submit a ticket himself with the required info. Areneanet wont take a ticket made by a third party.

Support does not give ingame hints. It’s up to you to solve it or ask other players for help.

Have you tried going to each zone and checking each layer of the zone for hidden POI’s/vistas etc? Some are VERY well hidden or very difficult to find.

Dont get your hopes up about your friend getting any items or characters back. Arenanet does not offer a restoration facility.

Your friend would also be advised to locate the point of compromise. It’s pointless changing the password or email on a compromised system.

Make sure you locate the point of compromise, or they will be back.

As for restoration… Not going to happen.

Authenticator is not needed. Learn to secure your computer and/or email and stop using very simple passwords..

Also, if your items were taken or characters deleted, then you wont be getting them back.

They already answered this. If you are caught using it, then your account will be actioned.

You would need to put in a support ticket, but unfortunately it seems that ArenaNet does not have the ability to restore characters or items, so its is highly probably you will need to manually switch servers and then regrind.

It would also be a very good idea to stop worrying about the game and find out how the compromise happened. If its due to a keylogger, i would be much more worried about any online banking or online payments you have made.

You also point out an argument about 1v1’s with turrets. In the general game and pvp, that argument falls flat, since the classes are not designed with 1v1 in mind, and are designed with group play in mind.

If you decide to go against kits, which are arguably the bread and butter of the class, then you are deliberately kittening your character.

Bombs might not be the most powerful engineer spec but godkittenits certainly the most fun.

There are only a small number of support staff and a very large number of players who cannot secure their account details. Give them time ( a few days), and if no response, create another ticket or post back.

The most common way for a “hacker” to get your details is for you to have a keylogger on your computer. This then gives them a run down of everything you do and type on your computer.

They could of course get it from fansites such as guildwars2guru, however the keylogger is a much easier and hassle free way to do things.

Keyloggers can be put on your computer from bad email links, phishing links, simple adverts on websites etc.

As for nergoza saying he has no keyloggers, thats what the majority of people that got hacked in wow said. Then it was found that they were scanning with MSE, macafee or norton.

Most people use the RMT part of the game. Pay a few dollars and get gems. Convert gems to gear or gold.

You can still create a character there. Youll just be placed on the overflow server until theres a spot on the normal server for you.

The overflow server is a copy of the normal server, think of it as a queue where you can play the game and still progress your character.

In other MMO’s you would be stuck at the login screen with a queue timer. In this game, you can still go straight into the game and play until theres a spot on your home server.
