Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Arenanet cant restore lost or missing items. Be it by your own doing, or by that of an account compromise.
The facility for that is not coded into the game. It is coming in the future, but theres no ETA on when.
Even if they could, Arenanet have already said that it will be the entire account that is rolled back, so when the devs bring the facility online, if you want a restoration, then everything past the snapshot that the restoration agents choose will be wiped.

Wait, you got hacked 4 times in less than 2 weeks, and somehow its arenanets fault?
You didnt play wow as your last MMO by any chance?
It means they had your username and password, but Arenanets security system kept them out.
You need to scan or wipe your computer and get the email and password changed so that you know they dont have access.

They only have a small support team atm and 2 million + players to deal with.
And if you use the same username and password combo for multiple games that involve an RMT, then its just a matter of time before they get compromised.
Why though? You would have to do everything all over again with each new character.
Thats the entire point of an MMO.
That would defeat the entire purpose of the game and having classes in general.

Tickets are taking around 5 days to be answered atm, but in some circumstances they are taking a lot longer.
What you need to do while you wait is to check everything and find out the point of compromise. It might even be worthwhile wiping your entire system and doing a fresh reinstall of the OS to clear out any possible keyloggers. Then you can consider changing the password and email once you are 100% sure the system is clean.
Even if they got your info from another source, such as you typing the info on a gold seller site without knowing it, or a fansite got compromised, its still a good idea to check your home system for anything that could make it happen again.
Remember, if it is a keylogger, then its not just a game login they go for. They will go for credit card details, bank login details, paypal details etc.
Read my previous reply. Thats where you need to be posting now.
All characters seem to be disconnected from the ground when they run. That also includes all NPC’s and mobs in the game.

With blizzard, the “hackers” got into a disused database that wasnt tied to the MMO. It contained old usernames and passwords, which blizzard then forced people to change.
Most likely an update to their forum software. They saw it and removed it.
You need to submit a ticket and wait for a response.

Actually, it sounds a lot like RIFT’s system of post-level cap advancement. They had “Planar Attunement” which meant that after 50 (cap) for a fixed amount of XP you gained a point to spend in a large number of additional skill trees. Each node on the tree would only award a very slight increase in stats, but take it far enough and it made a big difference. Whilst you could get to level cap in days, PA level cap would take months, if not years.
Thats what they said in Diablo 3 too. It took days to hit cap.
You wont get the items, but they have said they will follow through with refunds. However, the account holder needs to be patient whilst their ticket moves up the queue.
Even if you get one of these and you know its you, its always a very good idea to check first. There are phishing attempts like this which link to a gold sellers site.

When you send in a ticket, it takes time to get to your issue and respond. There are thousands of other people in the queue and all have issues that they want answering. Each ticket needs to be investigated and responded to.
You need to be patient.
It’s probably someone logging into your account from a chinese IP. Dont reply to it. Go to a computer that is not yours and is not connected to your network, and change your password.
Someone has your current login details.
Once you have changed the pass on another machine, dont log into anything on your current machine, but make sur eyou use multiple virus and anti malware scanners and triple check your computer.
Thats why i said it was an epic one. However, you need to remember who visits this site and reads threads. Thats how rumour gets spread.

The game has the POTENTIAL to be good. But if you are seriously saying the current game design and the way its moving forward is good, along with the statements of ArenaNet mistaken, then we will have to agree to disagree.
This game has MAJOR flaws, and its pretty obvious the game was rushed out to beat an upcoming game. The game is seriously buggy in many aspects, and even class defining skills, mechanics and even the lack of a player to player trade mechanic is telling enough.
You then went on to discuss wow’s content at release. That was a game that came out 8 YEARS ago, when the MMO genre was tiny and almost all MMO’s had very little content on release. To compare that to modern MMO’s in a vain attempt to prove a point is laughable at best.
Lets also not get into the argument about beta being very buggy and many complaints were made, even when they announced the release date, and lets also not forget that beta was only there for people who had prePURCHASED (not pre-ordered) the game, so arenanet knew they had money in their pockets anyway from people who were going to play the game regardless of what happened.
You are welcome to your opinion, but thats all your OP was. Pure opinion. The facts surrounding this game are there for all to see and cannot be denied.
The game has amazing potential, but even though its only 3 weeks since launch, we are getting very little information or even reassurance from the devs that they realise this games potential.

You would need to post your full dxdiag log stilness. Just because your friend can run it doesnt mean anything. He might be running it on absolute minimum settings at 800×600 res.
It might also be a good idea to post your issue in the tech support forum.
Thats an epic consiprarcy theory sds, which is all it is. If blizzard did that, there would be massive lawsuits, and they could be shut down overnight for breach of federal laws.
The vast majority of account compromises are due to keyloggers on players systems, compromised email accounts, or the player using the same login details on a fansite.
To get access back, you need to submit a ticket with the required information and then sit back and wait. Just remember, that if any items and characters have been deleted, they cannot be restored.

There are a lot of tickets in the queue right now and arenanet only have a small support team.
Theyve said that they try to resolve all tickets within 5 days, if its any longer then take a look at the sticky thread.
Guild wars 1 was a completely different game and business model. It’s not comparable to GW2 which was advertised as a full featured MMO.

Remember, a whole lot of features were left out of this game for launch because they wanted to beat Blizzard and MoP to a release. The features will make it ingame at some point, but theres no ETA as yet, and ArenaNet seem to be oblivious that decision will ultimately lead to the games downfall similar to how SWTOR has gone downhill fast.

While they cannot restore things now, it is possible they can restore things in the future and backdate them.
The server takes regular “snapshots” of accounts, so when the facility to restore goes live, they should be able to restore items, but you need to remember, that the info we have so far says any progress made AFTER the snapshot will be wiped from the account.
They have chosen this method similar to blizzard and diablo 3 for some reason, and that was proven to be a complete failure. Why they chose to utilise that same mechanic for a fully fledged MMO is beyond comprehension.
Keyloggers are not virii, so if you are checking with an application that solely checks for virii, then you wont find a keylogger.
It is also good practice to use multiple scan apps, although not at the same time.
Also understand that most modern keyloggers lie dormant and completely undetectable until they are activated. Either remotely, or triggered by a certain program being ran on your system.

ArenaNet cannot restore missing items, or replace them. Its a feature they hope to bring in, in the future, but right now, theres no ETA. The only thing you will get back is your account access.
They have also said that when account restorations are availiable, they are an account basis, not character. So if one of your characters gets deleted or you want items replaced, the entire account has a rollback, so any progress you make on other characters in the meantime will be wiped and you will have to redo it.
This game doesnt really need server forums. It’s set up more like Diablo 3 than anything else. Plus apart from wvwvw theres little to no need for them. No raids etc, no real point in farming, no world events as such. Then theres the issue of moderation.
Speed running isnt an exploit unless you are abusing pathing bugs or the terrain to skip most of the instance. If you are simply running through and killing things fast, and jumping over walls that were obviously meant to be jumped over, onto terrain below, then again, no exploit exists.
If you are wall jumping, or bugging mobs on terrain, then having a mesmer port you to a certain location, then yes, that would be an exploit.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve posted an update today for older tickets. Perhaps yours was in the sticky thread for tickets 5+ days old? If so, it may have been answered in today’s update (another sticky thread above).
In answer to the OP, you should get a response a few minutes after you create a ticket just confirming that the ticket is in the queue. Then, matters are usually resolved in a few days. There is a thread you can post in for another review, if the ticket happens to go to 5 days, but the number of tickets doing that is dropping dramatically as we bring on more agents.
I’d like to know how they can drop dramatically when ANet has already stated that they have a very small support team.
One statement not too long ago was that they had brought another 24 reps or so to the team, effectively doubling it.
Before you call out companies/people for theft and start to give legal advice, it helps a lot if you actually had an idea of what theft was. What happened here isnt theft at all.
Please do not post like that kazness.
Bettatthanu, the best thing you can do is file a ticket yourself and explain the issue, then play an alt for a few days. This will lessen the amount of people that see your character and potentially report your name.
Having someone else report your name is much more serious than reporting it yourself.
You need to go into much MUCH more detail in order for things to get fixed.

On the server selection screen, click the new server then in the right hand corner, click transfer. If it wont let you do it, then youll have to wait until the population cap increases or the server loses players.
They cant. Theyve gone on record on these forums and said that they cant restore any items or reimburse missing items. The development team have not added that facility into the game or CS tools.
Correct, its not our problem. However, the player still needs to be patient while they adjust the support level to one that can meet the games demand.
As for expecting support, You are playing what is essentially a free to play game. You dont pay for support, all youve paid for is the client and development time. As with any MMO, support is actually a convienience which they choose to supply. It;s hard to believe, but thats how it is.
ArenaNet does not offer item reimbursement or restorations.
It is very very doubtful you will get a refund.

If you lack the ability to keep your system secure, then its only a matter of time before you get compromised.
Perhaps you had the same details on a fansite that has been compromised, or you could even have had a keylogger on your system when registering the game. Most keyloggers hide and are not detectable until they are switched on and doing what they do.

Also remember that until a day or so ago, you couldnt remove your credit card info from the game, including the CVV code and expiry date.
They do know the problem is there. However, reporting them also alerts them to a compromised account. This means you are helping another player get their account back and is able to play again.

If you travel a lot, your IP wont be the same. Thats why it keeps asking for verification. The system is doing the thing it was designed to do.
If your FPS goes down, its a user system issue. Simply getting a mid range video card wont do much. Especially if your CPU, HDD and ram are ancient.
Also, internet speed as little bearing on FPS/latency. It’s how solid , stable the connection is, and if you use landline based internet, you have attenuation, decibels etc to deal with which all play a part on latency.
