Increasing the level cap with an expansion is a lazy design method. A good and solid design would be to allow the game to grow and give much more content for all players. Gw1 did this superbly.

You havent hit 80 yet have you and seen the amount of content that is completely broken.
Levelling up is indeed fun, but once you hit max level, the issues stare you right in the face. One prime example of this is the endgame boss.
Anet dont rule with an iron fist. If the topic/thread is constructive and doesnt ramble on or mock others as you do in your post, then it will be left, until such a time the thread outlives its usefulness.
Plenty of people have posted concise and very constructive criticism There are multiple threads all over the forums detailing the good and bad points of the game.
In every single thread, it is the “fanboy’s” as you call them, that derail the threads into full blown arguments.
If people call out the bad parts of the game and list possible resolutions and gain feedback on them, then the devs can look at that and adapt the game.
Remember, they are making the game for the players to play. It is in their best interests to design gameplay that EVERYONE likes and plays, otherwise the game will simply end up like all other MMO’s over the past couple of years, and NOBODY wants that to happen. This game has great potential, we just need to get the developers to see and realise that.

Ok. Someone has had access to your account. If you didnt get any confirmation emails, that could mean that the same person has access to your email too, has authorised the IP then deleted the email.
The only way to fix it is to email support and explain, and while you are waiting for a response, scan your system multiple times with different anti virus and anti malware software. Do this with the launcher running and a bunch of gibberish typed in the user and password fields.
You need to find the point of compromise before you change your email and password, otherwise theyll be right back in.
The sad part though, is if they did manage to get into your account and take items, then you wont get them back.
However, you may be lucky and the system might have blocked them before they did get full access.

If your name was flagged, then arenanet think there is something wrong. The best way would be to file a support ticket and ask calmly and politely why your name was deemed against the rules.

Doesnt matter how you or anyone else justifies an immature attitude. You are playing ArenaNets game, and you follow their rules, or meet their punishments.
And before you try to mock me, i couldn’t care less what people say in game. As far as i’m concerned, you can say whatever you like around me, within reason. However, that doesnt change the fact that it’s still arenanets game and rules.
Have you tried rebooting your router or your computer? It sounds like the game is having trouble connecting to the login server.
Have you checked your anti virus/firewall’s exceptions? Perhaps it had an update and blocked them.
@Romeo I know the helm is a lvl 73 personal story reward.
It might be a fine level mini, but that doesnt mean it cant be rare. Especially considering where the rarer pets come from.
If people don’t point out the bad things that exist in a game, then no advance in programming or game design can ever be made.
Their servers just had a hiccup. Looks like it’s starting to get back to normal now.
If its ingame, it must be rare. Guildhead isnt even citing any references to it as of yet.
TOR was a good game. But you are forgetting one thing. It has SWG’s management behind it. The devs that are working on it are nothing short of brilliant. However, the management that destroyed SWG and other MMO’s struck again and are slowly killing it off.
Notice how after the games launch, we didnt hear anything from the senior devs/game producer/game director? Yea..

You probably have the same issue i used to have. Your’s and my ISP is routing you through different hubs when you connect to the game servers, and since it keeps changing, the game doesnt recognise whats happening.
I live in rural north wales, so my ISP just directs me wherever it wants to, but ive implemented a system on my side that pretty much locks the IP down. It’s similar to a proxy but doesnt incur all the side effects.
You could try fixing your IP in your router settings, or your TCP/IP settings on your NIC. There are a good amount of players that reported that it solved their issues which were similar to your and mine.
this thread needs to be locked down fast. i thought we were talking about bugs, yet flametards are venting about their frustration with core gameplay design, WoW, etc. ANet has been very patient this these threads….they need to start disappearing faster at this point.
Why are you so quick to try and supress opinion? The main problems with this game is the core gameplay and mechanics. They were reported in beta to be very buggy and needed time to fix, yet Anet decided to ignore everyone and still release the game with bugged skills.
Yes, it is their game, but if they want it to survive longer than the last few MMO’s that were released, they need to bite the bullet and start listening.
Game that’s almost a decade old (WoW released Nov 2004) is bound to have more end-game content than one released a month ago.
Except it doesn’t. Unless they changed it up in MoP, endgame consisted of running the same instance hundreds of times for that “special” drop. Maybe pet battles are now endgame content, idk:)
For the new player and not one that has played the game since creation, wow has an overwhelming amount of endgame.

Somehow, somewhere, your end of the security was lax enough to allow the compromiser to get your username and password, and most likely your email info too.
They could have recieved the info through a phishing attempt or a keylogger. My point is, if you dont find out how, they will be back. If you bank online or use paypal, then it is very likely they have that info as well.
Blaming others for your own failings isnt a good thing to do, as gold farmers dont care about your feelings. They just want access to your account.

It’s not Arenanets fault you couldnt secure your details.
However, they have admitted multiple times that teh game needs a restoration feature and they are bringing one online soon. However, it will be an account restoration and wont be retroactive.
This means that if a compromise occurs, the entire account will be rolled back to a previous save point.
You really need to be angry at yourself, not the game or developers.

Less than 1% of current content is bugged? I suggest you log in on your 80 and go and play the game.
As for the comment about when its done, go watch their manifesto videos. It is plainly obvious that “when it’s done” actually means when the game is complete and when it is polished. Something which they clearly ignored in the race to beat blizzard.
This game unfortunatley is becoming nothing more than a glorified version of Diablo 3, when they hyped it up to be a full featured MMO on par with Wow/SWTOR/RIFT etc.
It is a very VERY long way off from those games.
Don’t get me wrong, i enjoy some aspects of the game. What i don’t enjoy is the devs constantly lying or trying to shift attention focus from something major to some little gimmick they have planned.
In my opinion GW2 is the best MMO launch since WoW. It has more content than WoW had at launch too. People coming in here and calling it “Rushed” needs to gain some perspective because clearly they have none

Sounds like a desync from the server. Your client is showing mobs in one place, but the server thinks they are in another. If the server thinks an object is inbetween where it thinks you and the mob is, then you’re going to get an obstruction.
Wrong. To implement a duelling system in a game world that is 100% pve centric would mean a redesign of the game engine. If you want pvp, then head to the pvp zones.
Besides, Arenanet have said since the game was announced and all through gw1 that they have no intentions of allowing pvp in the pve game world. Thats why they designed a huge Pvp system that is separate from the regular game.

Because it sounds to me like you are basing it on 100% guesswork.
Can you pvp in the regular game world? Nope. So it;s 100% pve based, and from dev comments since they announced the game, theyve always said that they are keeping pvp away from the PvE main game.
The game was rushed out to beat MoP. Think back to before release. The devs stated that the total time developing gw2 was 5-6 years. yet after the first 3-4, they scrapped the entire initial design of the game and engine and started fresh. This left them 2 years to get the game out of the door. No MMO can be designed in that time and be decent.
Saying that, they still have time to get the bugs fixed and content sorted in game before people start leaving in droves. But judging by the latest dev comments and indeed blogposts, it’s like the devs are living in a different world right now.

How do you know that arenanet arent doing anything? If they simply banned them ont he spot, it would achieve nothing.
A full investigation has to be performed, and they have to find out how the bot is communicating with the game, then block that hole. Then they need to trace currency/items incase people have been buying from them. It takes time.
Duels are 100% NOT needed in this game at all, and there really isnt any evidence to suggest otherwise.

Submit a support ticket and get them to send you it out manually. The drupal/vbulletin forum/backend seems to be having a lot of problems lately.
If you get false info from a ticket, just update it. After 4 days, post it in the sticky thread for 4+ day old tickets and a Community manager will investigate personally.

If you suspect someone of being a bot, report them. Let support investigate and decide if they actually are botting or if theyre just a legitimate player.
YEs. If that happened, then someone, somewhere, has your username and pass, but thankfully not your email address. This means that you most likely have malware on your system and you should find it or reformat before you change your pass or log into your email.
If you change your info before you find the point of compromise, they’ll just get your new details.

Their database IS secure. If you have evidence to the contrary, and not simple conjecture or rumour, then im sure ArenaNet would love to be alerted to it, and informed of the issue.

Unless you have a static IP address from your internet provider. The IP address you get from your provider will change every so often. There is no way around it unless they offer static IP address.
Setting up a static IP on your local area network A.K.A your router/computers. Won’t help get past the guildwars2 email authentication if that’s what your looking for.
Cause they are seeing your real IP address your providers gave you. Not the IP address your router gave your laptop or what you gave it.
Actually there are many people that have had a lot of success with forcing their router to give a static IP for this game. There have been a fair amount of reports from people on dynamic IP’s where their ISP changed the IP every 12-24 hours, and the player has to continually authorize every login.
Once the IP was set in the router, or even through the tcp/ip settings on their NIC, they reported that they’ve never had to authorize it since.
Send in a support ticket. They can fix it for you.
Maybe if you described the problem you are having plus your dxdiag log, someone could help.

Necro and engi both have an abundance of bugs. However, they are both still very good and solid classes. Learn to play them well now, and when the bugs get fixed, you will feel like a demi-god.
Why not pick it up and play it? It’s a really good game, and even gives you bonuses in GW2 if you link your accounts together.

Might be an idea to get a support ticket in and see if they can do something on their side.
If the character is multi-boxing, all you need to do is send a support ticket with details. Support will then investigate and action the accounts if needed.

Arenanet have always been masters of marketing spin. After all, the founders were original Blizzard devs back in 2003 era. And look at the marketing that happened back then.
I’d prefer a camera distance slider that works, than bother with a FOV slider thats not really needed.
Probably a name change.
