The same thing is happening to SoR that has happened to every server other than BG and JQ.
The lower tiers are emptying out slowly but surely. There’s really not much left for coverage outside of tier 1, maybe tier 2.
Even tier 3 is becoming mostly empty most of the time.
WvW was great for a long time, I just don’t think there’s enough people to sustain it anymore outside of a few servers and a few timezones.
The casuals are mostly in EOTM at the moment, who knows how long that will last.
I think a real change will have to come sooner than later. It’s reset night and there’s some ridiculous scores, the worst I’ve seen. There’s clearly a major problem with WvW in its current state and something needs to change before there’s only a tier 1 remaining.
Might be right. WvW is too flawed in it’s current match up system.
I could see Anet change WvW into a system like they are using in EotM. Stacking up servers together for a weekly match up and fight it out in different overflows, while taking the average score of all overflows together every couple hours. That way there’s not really an advantage of having an overstacked server, and overflow system makes sure there’s always fights going on.
EotM looks really pretty, wish they redesign the bl maps and made them just as pretty!
Right now, whether you’re in a zerg or with smaller roaming group, once you fall of the map or die for whatever reason, it’s often impossible to get back to your teammates.
The map is big and a little complicated with limited ways of traveling routes to certain positions. It really becomes impossible when certain objectives flip and there’s nobody to help you flip it back.
I find this the biggest flaw in this map design, and hopefully this will get attention. It should be possible to rejoin your guildies or teammates again with some more ease. Enable waypoint building or something.
Your server’s performance on PPT has influence on the world bonusses we get, like bonus karma, bonus gold, chances on better mining, more HP etc. And they are shared with anyone on your server
Honestly, it would make more sense that those who activily participate in WvW deserve better bonusses compared to those who never go into WvW and thus not contribute to these world bonusses.
My idea would be to make your own world rank a huge factor in how much bonus you actually get. The more world rank you have the more you benefit from these bonusses. This would 1) Reward us WvW player more which is more motivating, and 2) maybe it’s going to motivate the non WvW player to start playing in WvW.
So my view on this poet is as followed:
Thump, Thump. Time to jump
My guess is that it has something to do with the eternal alchemy at play. Like with the infinity ball personal story where the ball connects to another “time” which made steam creatures spawn.
Wipe all resistance from your mind
Should have something to do with the first sentence. Maybe she wants us to see what she has seen through those probes? Very vague.
There’s a secret deep below to find
Heard a lot of people about what it could be. It could hint at primordus, but primordus isn’t that much of a secret, especially us. The clockwork poem was related to what would happen in divinity’s reach, and something might happen again in divinity’s reach. In The Dead End, Marjory and Kasmeer speak of danger for DR and Jenna. And when I think of something deep, the crown pavilion comes to mind, or especially about what happened to the place before the crown pavilion was built. The big hole that was there at launch of this game, was a big crater called the great collapse. One npc there before the crown pavilion update once said “That whole area’s been a mighty creepy since the first cracks appeared. Weird noises and such. My brother used to tease me about drakes in the sewers. I’m starting to think maybe he was right.”
If you’d only seen the things I’ve seen
Maybe she been able to see in the future?
You’d wake up screaming from The Dream
Don’t think you’d have to take this too literally regarding to the sylvari. “The Dream” is perhaps the somewhat peaceful world we live in today, but once we face that what she has faced or seen, our peace will be no more?
This next part will sting, but it brings me joy
I think from here she starts speaking of herself. If she enjoy’s that someone else gets stung, she wouldn’t say “but”, instead it would say “and” in that case. So now the question is what will sting her?
Sometimes to change you must destroy
Again probably she meant herself with change and destroy. She wants to change and thus she has to destroy something. The destruction will sting, but the change will bring her joy.
A fire is rising you cannot contain
This refers to something that we or the queen or other important key characters in this living story cannot “contain”. It means we can’t own or control this fire that’s been rising. Could predict primordus :P but that’s a big statement.
Tyria will burn, while I remain
Why would she remain? how is she so certain? The only thing that would explain this is the visions she saw from the eternal alchemy and depicts it as true.
In the end i got no clue :P
An interesting approach would be if everything said in the poem was said to scarlet by someone else, like primordus. But doubt this.
Also interesting is the mention of “war on our doorsteps for all of tyria”. War with whom? scarlet? dunno, maybe there’s more, and we’ll see one part of a race go into war with tyria? Or scarlet waging war with all the alliances formed against tyria? who knows.
Elementalist don’t get much or any love when it comes to underwater combat. We only have 1 weapon to chooce from, and not a single trait directly related to underwater combat. It would be nice if the trait blasting staff isn’t just for the staff weapon, but also increases the area attacks of trident at the same time.
An ele has many ways to lose conditions already and Geomancer’s Freedom is the only trait that works with a reduced duration for conditions applied to you as far as i know.
Believe it or not, but my ele actually uses Geomancer Freedom. Together with melandru runes and poultry food im basically immune to chill, immobilize and cripple. And the condition duration on any other is shorter by a lot. This all helps me greatly. Without geomancer’s freedom i’d go with another build, with more focus on losing conditions through cleanse.
So in short, geomancer’s freedom is actually a trait that gives build diversity. If geomancer’s freedom is changed to the way you described, i’d doubt many would get it since the water traits already gives many ways of losing conditions anyway.
Dodge-roll breaks immob, cripple and chill on you. Immobilize cannot be re-applied to you for 1 second after you dodge roll.
We already have the ability to lose any condition on a dodge roll. It’s called evasive arcana. Surely it’s 30 points in arcana though, but instead of spending 20 points in earth, im sure you can go 30 in arcana instead.
Anyways, personally i wouldn’t really want to waste my dodge to lose an immobilize condition. Besides, i can easily use #4 on my staff air attunement and lose it too.
Geomancer’s freedom is something i see that’s useful if you also gear for it. Together with melandru runes and poultry food, the duration of those 3 conditions is almost non existant.
So in short, it’s good the way it is.
Of course a buff is always welcome, like a specific boon (regen, swiftness or protection etc) when 1 of these conditions is applied to you with a 10 sec cooldown.
(edited by Retsuko.2035)
So who’s better?
Superman or goku from dragonball Z?
I’m betting it’s goku, since his powerlevel is over 9000!
A lot of people would say that commanding on an ele isn’t really a good idea. IMO, i tend to agree to a certain point. It is possible to command, but only if you have a dedicated group who can listen. Meaning a good zerg. Pug group or simply called a blob of random people isn’t going to work because those people are simply going to follow your tag. Especially if those are not on teamspeak listening to you.
Since you’re an ele you can’t always push with frontlines and thus you need to be able to communicate precise movement to the zerg that is following you. And the zerg needs to execute your commands. Thus you have to be very specific on locations, how you want people to move and where to bomb and water field etc if it’s not on your tag.
So it all comes down to your ability as commander, but you will also be dependant on the group that is following you because they need to be better then the average blob. Running with your guild only for example would be good for this.
Of course you can’t make use of it 100% of the time, because that would be really OP. If you run with enough HP/armor I think it’s quite possibly a viable trait in WvW. Only tried it out this evening though (changed to pvt build for this), still need to run with it more often, but so far it’s quite nice. One fight i rushed into an enemy zerg, saw many wells etc. But came out of it with full health. I wonder why :P
Take in mind, you’re only immune to conditions, so control effects like stun, daze and pull still work on you with this trait.
I’ve tried it on my staff ele. But i still prefer ether renewal by far. Still a better heal and a condition cleanser like no other.
If you were running the glyph heal, you should seriously consider switching to this new arcane heal.
Why do people chooce to spend so much on bolt of damask when you can just get the entire set in a month time by making them yourself and spend way less?
I seen people actually buy gems for it, so they are not even rich ingame.
We are working on a small issue with the Makeover kits. They should return soon.
What is soon?
Soon can be in 1 hour, it can be in 1 day, it can be 1 week. Please be more specific, too often i’ve heard the word “soon” coming from a dev, and usually it actually took weeks.
A 1000 guilds have been invited. The guild i’m in is one of the biggest active WvW guilds currently on SoR with both NA and EU coverage, and yet not invited yet.
Really makes me wonder how much RNG Anet’s selection process is.
For me the commander of the year is Lord Green Arrow.
A gentlemen on and outside the battlefield, shows respect and gratitude towards other players, knows what he’s doing either on open field or inside a keep, wants to farm bags rather then be stuck inside a tower and he never gives up.
I kind of agree with this, Staff isn’t the best option for zerging
i lol’d
A zerg without staff ele’s is a ded zerg.
I dont have any troubles in orr.
The OP simply has to look around him/her. It’s your own fault for bumping into a champion boss mob.
If you paid a little attention you could have:
1. Dodge away
2. Run around the champion
With the game revolving around cosmetics and not armor its self adding these items to the Gem store in such large quantity’s essential makes the game P2W. This is almost the equivalent of a standard MMO adding top tier armor that can only be obtained thought differentiate content to there in game store.
fail logic is fail.
I got my main character a combination of armor skin that i currently like the most. A WvW coat bought with badges, beginners legs and CM dungeon boots bought with tokens. Is this expensive? no.
But according to your logic, i won the game by getting the best i could get for my tastes and it didnt cost me anything.
One trick I like to use is go around to the side of the enemy zerg, and unleash my Meteor Shower and control skills somewhere in the center. You’d be surprised how often a zerg is focused on their front, completely ignoring the lonely ele that wrecks havoc on their sides.
Noticed this too. A good zerg follows their commander tightly and when the commander calls to bomb on him, people do as they are told. So if you’re standing away from that area, you can safely smash down a couple aoe’s down on them.
I guess people, especially melee can be literally a bit tunnel visioned, ignoring their surroundings.
If you get hit by the front of the enemy zerg, a safe way to avoid their trainwreck is to simply dodge once (or twice depending on size of zerg) forward into the enemy zerg. You land at the backlines and from there it’s easy to make them scatter.
Seems like i appear to be one awesome staff ele if i have to believe all these rants on how staff sucks in zergs for them.
A staff ele can do so much (if you’re using other skills besides autoattack that is) once you know how to maneuver. A lot of the time, your surviviability depends on how you position yourself. Sometimes on the commander who’s taking all the heat is the safest place, and sometimes 2 dodges away from the commander is safer. If you play in a zerg vs zerg fight, and you dont have trouble with lag and what not, you can observe the enemy zerg’s movement. If you can observe this, you know how to move around and position yourself in order to keep fighting and survive. Your utilities and water fields are a god bless if you know when to use them.
autoattacks indeed suck, but that’s why you need to use other skills and rotate if needed through attunements.
enjoy that there are currently 2 servers where you can log in at any given time and have action. JQ and BG should be really happy about this.
Gotta mention that you needed to go through a que first… or did you enjoy que too?
Just wondering what’s going to happen to the celestial armor recipe’s we’ve now learned once ascended armor comes out. I remember a “recipe reset” when ascended weapons came out, but i surely hope that celestial recipe’s won’t be reset. They are currently expensive enough already. Reset them and you’ll see the price of these recipe’s going through the roof.
Thanks. I’ll do a full zerker build then and save my chaged crystals for later =)
Sorry, I didn’t say, but it is for WvW.
lol, now he’ll go rally bot instead.
Now if it starts interfering with wvw, that’s something else entirely.
That toxic stuff or whatever was actually interfering with dolyaks.
Seems like Anet is out of ideas and make bad choices on top.
Doesn’t sound too promising for the future
Exotics are cheap, ascended trinkets are easy to get. Ascended weapon costs a bit, but can also drop. I don’t see why people whine and moan? But that’s all people do on these forums i noticed.
gw2 never been pay to win, and most likely never will be. As for WvW, servers “paying” a win surely happens. But in my experience, aslong i have fun and mostly succeed in taking objectives in which i participate, means a win to me even if my servers gets the least ppt. Servers with high ppt, long que’s, boring battles, almost no kills and mostly pvdoor is a big fat loss.
Hope SoR will atleast try to get ontop of TC this matchup. But shouldn’t lose focus on the fun fights.
If SoR ends up 4th, then so be it.
Also, I’ve yet to test precision sets, but based on calculations already made on celestial I have a feeling precision is the most wasted stat on ele, once you have enough to proc renewing stamina reliably.
Not sure how you’ve tested this, but i’d like to disagree on this. One of the great feats of celestial is the insane high crit dmg you get. At a certain amount of critical damage, you actually gain more from precision compared to power when it comes to increasing your damage. More precision is more critical hits. At 50% crit dmg, you do 200% damage compared to a normal hit, so you can imagine, the more crit dmg you get, the more you gain from precision (crit chance).
The guild GoF on blackgate, or a certain person (commander?) from that guild is known to be someone who likes to double team and pay for it.
When people speak of paying SoS or TC to do certain things for BG (which they say is BS), they don’t mean paying that server as a whole, but just one person (a commander in this case) to do what they want them to do. This person that you might be following around won’t have to tell you anything about it, and you’re totally clueless, because that commander doesn’t have to tell you his motives for attacking a certain objective.
Even if BG doesn’t admit it, ZD is pvd’ing right now because they get weekly pay for each week they are on BG. Is this a bad thing? Not at all. It’s everyone’s choice to do what they want in this game.
Just because one guild is dominating doesn’t mean it’s not fun anymore. Personally I enjoy the battles and don’t care about ppt. Nobody can be online 24/7 and thus can’t expect your server to have 24/7 coverage.
When speaking of 24/7 coverage, any server who lacks coverage for a few hours where another server is active is detrimental when it comes to defending and upgrading your keeps and towers. You can be a kick kitten T1 server, but if you can’t respond to attacks during a couple hours of the day, everything you upgrade gets back to paper. While you come back, you see everything you had was lost while the enemy server upgraded all of theirs. So when there are people back on your server to play, they will be more occupied with defending your stuff because it’s paper again, while the enemy can concentrate more on attacking. It’s basically a spiral down which has a huge effect on any server. It only takes 1 guild if it would mean that a time gap is created for another server where it can lose everything.
I don’t care really about this since i like the battles, and it doesn’t matter which lvl keeps/towers are when it comes to killing people. But it does show how unbalanced WvW is when it comes to population and especially coverage. Hopefully Anet has an answer to this and many other flaws WvW has right now. I dont think anet has a lot of time left to respond to all these issues. And a new map without any real objectives to help the server is not going to fix it.
Good effort on thinking of ways to make WvW more interesting. Some are interesting thoughts. But… More PvE in WvW? no thank you!
Ele was my first character and my main. It was hell levelling to 80, and everything you said is true. But!
WvW is where Ele shines. Screw being a water field generator. I’m no support, I’m a freaking massacring machine! Went full zerk, all exotics, and rained ungodly death n enemy Zergs with Meteor Storm, Lava Font, Flame Burst and the auto attack.
With this kind of “who cares if I die when they sneeze on me” build I get 3,400 base power with relatively ghetto exotic gear, and I can smash enemies with about 2k per auto attack, 3k per meteor and 2k per tick on lava font. Enemies melt fast.
Been on a killing spree since last Sunday… I completed wvw season 1 Avenger kills earlier today with 500 kills in a week. I’m sure others can kill faster, but we are no pushover in WVW.
This same build decimates dungeon bosses too, as long as you can survive long enough.
Sigh… running full zerker as a staff ele in wvw might be fun, but in the end your real class with that build is Rally Bait.
He’ll find out once he encounters a bigger blob than his. A zerg who is outnumbered can still win against a bigger one easily, but not when you have rally baits among your group.
Burnfall ele footage ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWqSz0yE3A0

Gotta admit, this burnfall guy trolled you guys pretty hard, even if it wasn’t intentially.
Mag does care about PPT – until it’s time for gold league qualifiers
we’ll be here with yall ~every season~
Maybe u should move to SoR. They claim they dont play for PPT neither but they at least can put numbers in open field fight.
Because “putting numbers” is fun. If Mag wanted, we could assemble quite possibly the scariest megablob of guild groups you’ve ever seen… it’s just boring.
Excuses….
Megablob vs Megablob (or zerg vs zerg) are usually the most epic fights.A meta decided by the profession with the best 1 spam and dodgerolling aka guardians with staff.
Sizes where you can use utilities are my pref.
Spam 1? I have all my 10 skills used depends on the situation, commander’s position, even dodge have to dodge wisely. You don’t understand why are we doing this. It’s okay, You train yourself to be a hero-like player but some of us love to play as a team and community and that’s why we’re in T1 again. This game is not about you or the solo player. We paid for the game, we have the right to choose what mode to play and it is not in your concern that whether we spam 1 or not.
You’re lying to yourself if you think there isn’t debilitating skill lag in megazorg vs megazorg. We did SoR vs BG vs Mag in SoR’s garrison this weekend, and we had to sit tight until one of you wiped before we could move just so we could use buttons again. That’s not fun. Generally once BG was dead the game could resume.
The teamplay curve levels off at some point when you have 40+ people with a mark over one guy’s head and you’re effectively just playing simon says with empowers, blasts, and stab.
The teamplay exists just as much or moreso all the way down to 2v2. The only reason someone would prefer huge blobs is the safety of group blame sharing. I encourage you to try lower numbers, where when you lose, your list of reasons has your own name at the top.
Obviously, the more people in a group, the more of a group effort it will become. Thus less likely to have a name at the top.
A 2v2 and 10v10 can be a huge difference in type of teamplay. Larger battles require different teamplay. With a 2v2 or 5v5 even, you have more use with pvp experience and mechanics where you mix and match your classes so your in sync with eachother. Larger battles are completely different and on a larger scale.
Anyways, it amuses me that people call blobs or zergs “safety groups” as an excuse (most likely they have never run with a proper zerg before). Good commanders with proper zergs are not always “safe”, but require teamwork and skill to persevere while moving through enemy lines.

I still can not understand why someone would want to pick an alacrity trait, unless by default, since it buffs 25% of our skills at best (no conjures).
Can’t blame you, it’s understandable since you’re pve’er.
I don’t understand why you want to worry so much about damage when using a staff. The reason people “avoid” fire traits is because we don’t have any “use” for it when we support our team. It surely are good traits if you’re one of those ele’s who stay in fire 80% of the time though.
Condition isn’t too great on an ele. Surely we do condition damage, and you can get some condition stat, but you’ll gain more by focusing on normal damage output.
I was very happy when arenanet gave a bit of love to us staff ele’s who like to support their friends in battle. But now with the upcoming change on the 10th of december, Arenanet is punishing us for running support by moving around traits.
I understand you want to make sure that people don’t get best results by only putting 10 points in a single traitline. But what you guys are doing is basically punishing those who chooce to dedicate 30 points into a tree (water especially) at the same time as well. Even though you like us to be stronger at support, you also want to punish us for dedicating ourselves in a role by making us exchange a vital trait for a useless one.
Especially the Water Trait tree has to suffer.
Honestly, i don’t think anything was really wrong with the Arcane and Water traits as they are now at the moment. Surely, it’s always nice to have useful traits at adept, but sometimes you can’t put as many points into a tree because you already dedicated into another. But i don’t see anything wrong with that.
My request to Arenanet: Please leave the water traits alone!
This might not have been such a big problem IF anet didn’t split euro and NA apart. They wanted a 24/7 battlefield, then they should have anticipated that coverage would be a major thing and the most simple solution to me would have been to not split euro and NA apart, but to let them coexist on the same servers.
IMO, I think it’s fine to “buy” guilds. It’s generally known that BG and JQ have a “warchest” which they use to either “buy” guilds or help them transfer over. It’s their gold and they have the right to do whatever they want with it. The same for guilds who transfer over to BG or JQ, it’s their own choice to go there.
SoR doesn’t have a warchest, and thus SoR can’t buy guilds, too often i see people put all T1 servers on the same heap.
Personally, I’d rather see guilds come over to the server i play in because of the community instead of gold. Community is a lot stronger and makes it more fun. Even when you lose.
The problem on world population and coverage isn’t something you can really fix. Especially not by nerfing stuff like zergs.
Putting a higher reward on killing and taking stuff from a high populated (or 1st ranked) server might make it more interesting for players to jump in. But it could also attract players that wouldn’t be very beneficial for the server.
In the end i don’t think you can really fix this coverage problem besides recruiting guilds that can cover them which isn’t easy of course.
Instead of looking at the population of servers, you might want to look at the size of the worlds of WvW we play in. One of the major reasons people are turned of by playing in WvW with low population is by being outnumbered. This happens because there are 4 maps to play on. And when one server has 200 people on for WvW and another only 50, it will cause a major demoralizing impact on the experience of players both in battle, but also in score. Obviously, 4 big maps for a limited number of players is just too much.
Maybe freeze specific maps during hours when population is low for 1 or more servers in order to get people more together and give lower populated servers a chance to compete during those off hours. Yes, freezing maps will give high populated servers a longer que, but perhaps all the more reason not to stack on one server and maybe try out other servers instead of jumping on the bandwagon.
10. Dear IRON, we don’t have to whisper you for fights nor we will since you are the one map jumping from us whole evening, if you want to fight come and fight in game not on the forums.
I’m not speaking for iron, nor am i a member of it. But yesterday, SoR guilds had no choice but to respond to calls elsewhere instead of toying with you. I was there when we were fighting at inner bay gate. We stomped you guys outside after you made an obvious/predictable veil on us over the wall. But after playing with you guys right there, iron and others were called over to EB to protect something, which is possible when we have no que’s on maps.
But you’re right, you don’t have to whisper any guild for a fight, so don’t bother calling guilds out on it? Seems like you guys chose the wrong server for “fun fights”? Last weekend was good though when numbers are equal. But in my WvW experience, when numbers are equal, it’s BG that runs.
What is this exploit you speak of? We are having the same problem on our borderland on Yak’s Bend.
Don’t think it’s allowed to explain how it works. But basically you set up things so your guildies/group members get to your borderland without que. I don’t know exactly how they do it, and i never tried it either. But anet really needs to enforce it and fix it asap.
I don’t think a new map (in beta) is going to fix the imbalance there is on borderlands, and make fighting for PPT fair.
What i meant with the exploit taking up spots…
Let’s say a server has the maximum of 70 people allowed on a borderland. At 70 it will hit que. That would put the entire borderland on 210 people allowed at a maximum for all servers together. Obviously a total maximum is meant to lower the lag.
What if one server uses the exploit, causing the number of people for their borderland to reach 90. And what if the maximum of 210 people per borderland for all servers together would be the real limit. That would mean that the other 2 servers hit que before they even get 70 people in their borderland.
(edited by Retsuko.2035)
Lately i’ve been wondering if there’s something strange going on. For example, yesterday i was in a borderland with a que. I was following the commander, who had 15 people on him. That commander was the only commander on the map, and there werent many roamers around. There should have been about 15 to 25 people more on the map, but absolutely not any more. How is it possible to be so low on people, but still have a que on your borderland?
In the meantime, our group was massively outnumbered by the opponent, who’s having more people in their group, then we have in our entire borderland. And yesterday was not the only time, it’s been going on like this for a week atleast at random borderlands.
Either there is something wrong with the queue system and the population it lets in. OR it may have something to do with guilds using the que exploit to avoid que althogether getting a larger number in. No idea if it really works, but rumors say it’s true enough. I could imagine that if guilds practise something like that, they get more people on a borderland then the map actually allows, perhaps taking those spots from other servers?
As a staff ele, you will never want to ignore your defense. If you think you can always stay in the “back” you have it very wrong. If you’ve ran in wvw with zergs (small or big) before you know it’s important to hug your commander in order to benefit from the water fields he asks for that gets blasted on him (water fields also you should help provide as staff ele). Of course it’s a matter of knowing how to position yourself, and knowing where to be in any situation.
I’m currently comfortable with:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fEEQFAWhEmKbyR4QlDAkHvcCLjChUeMzO2A-jkCBoiBh+AgIAJ5rIaslhFRjVVTpWbDTFLQmzDRzgO1SB0vwI-w
d/d is fun, and a good weapon set. But the limit you put on yourself is your range. With staff you can do stuff at any range which is great. Of course both weapon sets have it’s up and downs. Staff is in general more wanted in zerg fights because of it’s supportive type of skills.
(edited by Retsuko.2035)
Mel is a great elementalist and as an ele is far superior to daphoenix and his build fixes the lack of defence and armor that an ele has with 3k armor. Ele’s problem was never the lack of health, ele has enough the problem was that ele was constantly getting dmg of 3k+ if he didn’t dodge, while Mel’s build has problems they’re mostly appearant when you run into someone with +40% condition duration.
It takes a great ele to recognize another great ele…
Anyways, the build posted by the OP doesn’t quite work in WvW, especially in zerg situations (even small zergs). Saying you don’t need much HP with 3k armor is just bullkitten. First of all, anyone who gets focused on will melt. Second, exchanging a giant amount of your HP for more toughness won’t solve anything indeed. In matter of fact, it makes things much much worse when it comes to conditions. WvW is a place where conditions are plenty. But besides the low HP which makes conditions quite harsh on you, you’re also lacking condition removals with that build which is just pure fail, even if you’re using lemongrass soup.
What?
“SoR is guaranteed a win in all matchups not involving JQ” = Assuming they’re going to win every match against BG = Arrogant
I dont know about that. BG clearly needed JQ’s help to get SoR garri, only to easily lose it again.
At the time when we were defending SoR garri, while being low on numbers, we were hit by JQ from the west and BG from the east at the same time. They both moved into inner garri at the same time. They didn’t fight eachother, and once BG was capping the lord’s room in SoR garri, i saw JQ move out. I don’t know what kind of deal you made, but that was a very obvious double team. SoR was too low on forces, and it would have made sense if JQ attempted to wipe BG and take garri instead, but they didn’t even try to put up a fight.
BG couldn’t have pulled it off without JQ.
It’s working for me, however it’s not counting towards to the total for “Premier Season Veteran”. Including Dawn of the Season, i have 3 completed. Yet it says 2/15. We were told that we had 20 achievements in total. I count twenty including Advanced Mists Invasion Defender and Dawn of the Season.
I agree that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to use rank to prioritize some players. Rank level has nothing to do with elitism. It’s elitism when someone thinks that a higher rank makes them “better” then you.
Rank is a good indication of how dedicated that person has been in the past with WvW. The more dedicated, and thus more contribution that player has been for the server, the more chances he/she should have to get priorioty in que.
Instead of seeing PvE players as a sore, maybe try and take benefit from it, and try to get them interested in WvW. The only real downside right now isn’t that some players can’t enter because of long que’s, it the possible absent of an organized force within a borderland to counter attacks that are important to act against asap.
