nvm catcher skins are dirt cheap on tp anyway

1 was in my invent (containing boosters etc) and 1 popped up in bottom right (1 laurel and 1g)

edit: by boosters I mean a karma booster, a mf booster, and an xp booster… all consumables not perm 1% to account or whatever…

Well…… I got a chest with 1 gold and a laurel (looks like 500 ap chest)
and a chest was in my inventory with a load of boosters a revive orb and repair can…

soooo looks like I got 100ap and 500ap today….

to clarify, I think the fact nobody is getting the perm stat boost is a bug.

my guess is the further along the line you get the higher chests show, so in 5 days it will start with 3000 etc etc…

If true this is very cool.

I didnt stay long enough to get beaten on, it was really boring compared to wvw.

funny this might actually make pvp interesting for a minute or 2.

In GW1 they at least made an effort to seperate pvp and pve.

The problem is everything is balanced around pvp/wvw.

So if its OP in PvP they will balance it without a second thought for PvE.

As far as world bosses are concerned, you should have to get a gold medal in the pre event to be eligible for the chest.

The non-obvious attacks, need an audible queue, IMO. This game is very visual and very noisy. Make the mobs say/do something before a ‘big’ hit and players will react faster.

Just wanted to share how much I am looking forward to the upcoming update compared to the previous ones.

This update actually looks like it has some really cool stuff coming with it from nice looking backpieces to cool looking armor.

The AP rewards are looking great and actually adds meaning to achievements now.

Anyone else getting excited for this to land?

depends on playstyle too, aoe’s and waterfields from ele’s are always appreciated, depends if your roaming or joining the main force.

So we are being punished. We chose to take the time to focus on multiple characters, leveling and using gold/whatever to kit them, and we don’t even get to use them for anything. Now we have to remember which character used the kitten thing and make sure not to delete that one.

Im actually about to encounter the same problem, All I have left is a tower POI in wvw and 4 vistas but the counter says I need 2 POI

you can claim the skins as many times as you want.

Cheapest option to get the best performance for that price is to build from parts.

Order of Whisper weapons (Secret Weapons) are not exotic in stats and are rare. It is not a worthy investment unless you want the skin, thus rendering your attempt at obtaining a Legendary redundant.

I understand that you’re new, but please, please, please… DO NOT GO FOR A LEGENDARY AS SOON AS YOU HIT 80. You’re just ruining the lives of other players by being incompetent (when you do your dungeon runs, WvW, map completion, etc, etc, etc).

And yes, if you transmute on top of the Legendary, you lose the Legendary skin (if you choose to override it). If you want to use a different skin, you could always get another weapon of the same type gasp.

when should he run dungeons? dosnt matter when he starts them, hes still gonna be new to them.

Better trying them when you hit 80 so you can learn them quicker

I just re-created a mesmer to get back the demon mask. As was posted buy a cheap white head piece (does not matter level) and use a transmute stone (have about 200 normals stones in the bank) by the newly created character. It is now account bound, pop it in the bank and either delete like I did or play it. I then needed to use a high level stone but I have them from some zone completion rewards.

all zones but 2 wvw maps complete and I have yet to receive a single transmute crystal…

Its going to be harder for you now, than it was for us.

We had a large playerbase to trade with for many of the items required.

Personally apart from campaign statues and stuff I effectively bought the rest of the points lol

Correct Southsun Cove and Dungeons don’t go to world completion.

But as others have said, new waypoints have been added as part of the living story, dbl check all maps.

I just farmed events and everytime the temple event started id go along and eventually got it.

It depends of what quartz will make. If it makes ascended items, wouldn’t it make sense that you could gather it with your alts, but only with level 80 alts that already have a certain life span (like a month, or a week) so that people wouldn’t abuse it?

The same as the quartz node isnt going to be a normal node, stop trying to treat it as such.

Does that mean if I dedicate one toon to farming one single area, she will always get DR’d?

Here are some scenarios, which of these will get toon A DR’d?

• I farm location X with toon A for 20 mins then switch to toon B for 30 mins to to map exploration, then return to farming X with A, etc.
• I farm location X with toon A for 20 mins, then WvW with toon A for 30 mins, then return to farming X with A, etc.
• I farm location X with toon A for 20 mins, then logout until the next day; the next day, I farm location X again for 20 mins, etc.

(20 mins in each scenario because I don’t believe that’s enough to get me DR’d by itself)

In my experience (NOT scientific!!!) farming holograms for coffers 20 mins a day got me DR’d in scenarios 1 and 3 (didn’t pay attention to scenario 2 enough to make a judgement) where I would go from kitten coffers to 30 coffers each 20 min run.

Personally, I don’t think DR should be applied in any of the three scenarios!

DR is just a pain in the kitten to monitor anyway due to the random nature of drops, sometimes you might get junk due to rng and not dr but we put it down to dr, other times it is dr, it is really hard to monitor.

It isnt about the gold from selling them, its about getting the right reward for level area you are in.

Veteran players already have a massive chunk of those points most likely.

The new quartz ore is hinting at craftable armor or weapons maybe, so not all doom and gloom.

Chances are it will be exactly the same as the hom system, with a vendor in your home instance or even la.

You wont spend points, your points will always be there.

An example, at 1000 AP you unlock a 1 time use speed booster from the vendor. you go to the vendor and it is available, the rest are blanked out until you reach the AP needed, your AP wont go anywhere.

it will be used for acended armor which is why I’m kitten ed off with the annoying restrictions that are now creeping into node gathering.

Again, I’m not saying make it unrestricted, but If my alts are all lv 80 I should be allowed to mine the kitteng node !

I never go out of my way for the monthly, nor do I play long hrs and it normally takes me 10 days to complete.

DAoC had a contested dungeon called darkness falls that basically made the entire game.

Who ever was winning overall in the war (in GW2 terms, this would be winning PPT), that faction had access to a dungeon. It was a multilevel dungeon 20 up to max level, and had very good gear. Because of this, carebears would actually participate in RvR (WvW) to get access to the dungeon.

Once your side was winning PPT and you could zone in to the dungeon, you have to realize that the enemies who owned it last are still inside, and killing them is fun. So everyone from the now-winning faction would leave the battlefield to go clear the losers out of Darkness Falls.

This in turn created a balancing effect, where the winning faction had less players on the battlefield because they were in Darkness Falls.

That would actually be epic.

Roaming groups of enemies on set paths that overlap etc, not one enemy here or one enemy there, but real mobs, the type where if you get bogged in combat with one mob and aggro the other you wiped.
