Why dont you just farm the pavillion, vicious fangs and rares drop like crazy
This is the first upate from the new teams split up, which means they have had 4 weeks to put this together, should be beefy…
Hey guys did you hear? Toymaker Tixx is coming to town to celebrate Wintersday!
Suupose next your gonna tell me about a brilliant invention called the super adventure box, nonsense i tell you..
It has been placed in the central circle to deter lazy people going akittenstead of mindless farming…
we are talking mere mili-seconds here….
So you could say sell:
1 green armor piece
2 large claws
2 large fangs
1 potent blood
2 large scales
all in one click.
sounds ok, but you still have to select the items to add em to a list in your suggestion..
Here is an idea….
How about letting us dye the actual glove part first lol
would be good to be able to dye the glow though
I have ran the same path twice in a row on different characters before the patch and received full 120 tokens…
But I see why they did it, and I am actually in favor of it.
It clearly is a nerf, now he only gets 90 tokens from 2 runs on 2 characters as opposed to the 120 he got before.
OP is just annoyed that everyone and their dog is trying to kill him for the new skins
strange, il dbl check, thx
So what do you do with it now?
Can’t equip it…
it is basically filling up inventory space now, and is useless.
Unless someone can tell me a use for it now I dont know about..
Said this in another thread,
The loot looks bad because of high tp prices on items we want,
we get trash look at price, then look at some stuff to buy and wow what a differance, yes its supply and demand but it is what makes the loot look rubbish.
Having completed map completion I can honestly say that there is nothing wrong with how it currently works, wait it out keep checking, did anyone say it was going to be easy?
Relax it will come.
The rewards themselves never were too bad, the prices we see day in day out on the tp are, they make the rewards look small…
One thing id like to add is this would not be very practical in WvW..
It already gets slow with all the particle effects flying around, this would likely make it worse (referring to the glow).
GW2 raids are not coordinated, or challenging, at all. When’s the last time anyone actually failed a dragon meta-event?
The question is can you fail a dragon meta event.
The answer is everything that wrong with the meta events.
if it impacted a characters looks however…….
Personally I was a big fan of flame and frost as well. The only issue of course is how long will it take for ANet to produce sufficient content to constitute a F&F that we want here. Flame and frost started out slow for a reason (I believe) and that’s because they (ANet) spent most of their time preparing the later phases’ content. If would be nice if we could get larger epic stories with real villains, new maps and dungeons (ideally both being permanent) but the issue does become producing the content (remember ANet tries to aim for 1 content patch per month).
What I really want to see however from Living Story is a real impact on the world (not a deductive impact mind you) I want to see new areas, new dungeons new world mobs etc. Going back to F&F why couldn’t the molten alliance stick around?
2 new content patches a month now, they have poured more people into it…
Quality → Quantity
Like this idea alot /signed
Bumping this up for more discussion…
I’m almost sure ArenaNet is doing something like that, because they’re spreading some of their stakitten on “something new”, and not the current Living World things that are going on.
I’m pretty sure they broke the team up in two so they could bring more living story more quickly, not so one team can work on a secret project while the other team continue with the living story.
likely so they can bring us more shorts and parties more rapidly.
yeah, but with less sign repairs and needle hunts, more exploring, new enemies, tell a real story as you go let dynamic events tell the story as you go.
Introduce new lore along the way.
This new threat dosnt have to be another dragon either lets be inventive.
A real instanced boss you need a party for, canach was on the right lines for this but was really uninspiring.
The thing needs to be an epic finale, and not a button bash.
And not temporary either.
A campaign spread out with monthly releases adding the next chapter in the story.
Introduce new zones as a part of this.
Tell us a real story, an epic story.
have a final goal in mind, but only release one part at a time.
Add a new zone the first month and start by having npc’s explain of this great threat to the (N,E,S or W) build an image of this threat, next release you begin a journey to discover this threat etc etc, each month a new zone with another part of the story, have the world change the closer you get.
Yes the world is already like this when traveling to Arah etc but this story wont be driven by a personal story.
The rumors of this threat and curiosity will make us want to tackle the threat.
This way the living story is a story and not a series of shorts and parties.
While eventually we get our expansion worth of content.
You could even sell a map item in the gem store that opens up the map and waypoints.

Some guy I killed managed to join me and my friends party in wvw so it is possible, though I have no idea how…
Those armors are horrible… IMO..
The required level for the guaranteed rare is 40, although I have been grouped with guildies many times for dragon events and several who had not done it yet(right after reset) and did not get the guaranteed rare chest, so, there is definitely a random bug in this area.
Its a swamp, its full of bugs
If somebody who is running right past you in the open world dosnt stop to res they are just a sheer muppet plain and simple
takes a matter of seconds, rewards xp and its in the daily some days.
In dungeons and other more group focused content fair enough but if somebody is too far up their own kitten to res in the middle of a normal zone, well……
Here’s how it works:
We have all seen one of those films with an infection outbreak and they have a world map showing the spread of the infection, well Anet has their very own version.
The map shows all the little green dots in the world and when an area is overrun with too many green dots they hit the nerf button.
really shouldnt give your email out like that….
Wait till they add it to the forums
Oops. I must be in the wrong thread. I’m over 14 (over 30) and have been having a blast since release day.
Sorry for the interruption. Carry on with your displeasure sharing.
(insert stock response with liberal use of the word “fanboy”..
)
Over 30 here, and personally really liking how the game is going so far, but I do agree that I’d like to have more permanent content thrown in. I’m still having fun (playing since release, though RL doesn’t let me play on any way that could be considered hardcore), and if anything I’d complain that sometimes I just don’t get enough time to do everything in the alloted time, but I guess we’ll see how it goes in future updates, since they did say they were going to add more permanent changes in future ones, and the fact that both dungeons are going to return (as fractals) looks to me like a step in the right direction, though Id rather if they had stayed as regular additions in the areas they were in the first place.
Sometimes it does feel Anet is getting into a “kitten ed if they do, kitten ed if they don’t” area, though… people complain that there’s nothing permanent added, but when something permanent is added (the karka queen, for example), then people just ignore it and don’t do it in the first place.
The karka queen is one big mess, it is implemented poorly.
whole guilds join anyway for this, well on borderlands anyway, make it so the entrance is in your home borderlands then, this way they dont stay there they vanish, but I agree the ultimate solution is like you said.
Hi all,
I am always reading posts about what it would take to get more new players into WvW etc and came up with this idea.
WvW training area!
This would involve an instanced portion of a Borderlands map.
The map would have your base, a keep and a tower and a camp.
This would be a personal instance with no other real players.
All drops would be the same as npc enemies in WvW.
So the instance is only open to players who enter WvW for the first time, players cannot select to enter any regular WvW maps until this training is complete.
The training will involve a number of tasks starting with finding the commander.
The training will then guide the player through siege use, upgrading a tower/keep and capturing a camp.
Along the way the player will receive useful hints about supply and when not to take it.
players will also be told the importance of disrupting enemy dolyaks and protecting your own.
Different types of walls and defences will also be explained.
The second part of the training will explain to players how the scores in WvW work and how many points each fortification is worth.
Players can then access WvW.
My second suggestion is regarding Guild battles.
Guild Arena
An instanced area with a cost of 100 influence to enter.
Max number of 60 players in at a time.
The entry requirement can be researched in the art of war category.
Once researched you active the bonus to allow access to the instanced area.
there are 2 entrances, one for the blue team and one for the red team.
This area is access from your servers main base in Eternal Battlegrounds.
This would solve the issue of Guild battles taking up space in wvw maps and thus allow more players wanting to fight for points access to WvW.
The voting process is the reason I don’t really care who wins.
Just saying that in my opinion people should have the right to a fair voting system.
Im saying this whole voting process is a complete joke tbh.
…Because if there was a visual bar, people who wanted the candidate currently losing to win would know how many support tokens to buy.
In the UK we don’t get to see who is leading in a General Election other than through poll surveys, which are not always accurate. This should be no different. That said, I’m sure there will be many, many tinfoilhats around over the next two weeks. Anet should implement it as a new head gear skin!
each person only gets one vote too..
The fact is this whole election became a joke the moment they allowed players to farm support tickets.
Say I wanted evon to win (im not interested in either winning) and I farmed for an hour and got 2 support tickets, but someone supporting kiel farmed for same time and got 4 support tickets,
This is rng..
So the outcome of this “election” will be decided in true guild wars 2 fashion… by rng….
Really everyone should be given 1 vote each and thats that, instead its about which group of supporters has the best luck with rng …
funny it seemed pretty static the 30 mins I stood and watched
I’ve done 100% world completion on 2 characters completely solo. Just avoid the tougher group events and it’s pretty simple.
Nice, how was the champ guarding the skill point south of shelter in CS?
Remove stonemist and you remove the best place in wvw to get loot.
PvE players moaning about having to go to wvw for legendery crafting dont worry no more, badges on achievement chests
They still have to because they still haven’t fixed the 100% world exploration to not be like Aion and include a forced PVP experience. Until that happens it will still be required.
It’s a very poor design to require players to perform a task they don’t want to in order to reach a goal and it’s certainly not a play-your-way design.
Trust me no participation in pvp is needed in any way shape or form to complete map completion on these maps
I think I understand what you’re trying to say here… and it’s ridiculous. Having to move through an envirnoment where other players can kill me is PvP. Having objectives sealed out of my reach until the players defending them have been driven off is PvP.
Even if I am some kind of flawless spec-ops ninja ghost bypassing all hostile player encounters, it requires a very different approach to bypassing PvE encounters. The gameplay of evasion and engagement of other players is just as much PvP as actually knocking someone else’kitten points off.
And even in such a scenario my fortune is still tied entirely to the PvP prowess (or superior numbers) of the rest of my server. There are parts of the WvW map that my server will never claim, unless the roll of the dice puts us up against someone absolutely terrible. So waiting until WvW rotation puts our starting position in those map sections… would you describe that as “fun”?
If it is not fun then go play PvE and check daily if any objectives can be had.

You see money falling from the sky, you know somethings not right what do you do?
You stuff it in every pocket you have and anywhere else you can fit it.
And no I havnt even done any of those events even once.
Some servers have a high population on all maps including starter areas. I’ve always found starter zones well populated on Tarnished Coast. It’s always a good idea to guest on a few servers to get an idea as to relative populations.
Also depends what area of the planet you reside too
People saying how easy it is probably did it when there were lots of player resources about and were not new and had lots of platinum.
Without factions and nightfall I feel it will be a struggle to get 30 points, and a couple of days for someone new to the game isnt very realistic.
You are going to have to finish the main prophecies campaign and al bonus objectives, this can take… a while….,
Then the weapons for the HoM……,
you have access to destroyer and oppressor weapons with the platinum edition…. no tormented…
Then hero’s…… you only have access to eotn’s hero’s which isnt alot in terms of HoM points …
Oh and the armor needed for the hero’s isnt exactly… easy to get…
EOTN itself is pretty easy to finish though so easy points there…
Exotic armor is going to be hard too as at least 2 sets come from factions and 2 maybe 3 sets from nightfall…
And for someone new… they cost alot of plats….
But you are really limited as to how you get the points..

Gotta say as someone who spent 2 months avoiding wvw with this misconception that it was this really bad pvp it is alot of fun and dosnt even feel like pvp alot of the time, 2 armies fighting for victory, its epic
