Yeah agree 100%, im in no way into RP but I bought the noble outfit and then the top hat item, I had not bought any outfits or clothing items from the gemstore before and was disgusted I had wasted all those gems tbh..

I always make sure to do the Nahpui Quarter mission when it comes up for Zaishen Dailies; I get a lot of feathers from that mission, what with all the tengu.

Yeah I tried that mission but was not as effecient for me sadly..

I made all my plat farming feathers in jaya bluffs, with a rit/ele build you can solo easy, does not take long to do a full run and can get a stack per 2 rns easy, they did sell for 7-8k a stack at the time, but was real easy money for me.

Basically you kill anything with feathers on it..

It is not that Anet have got in the april fools spirit that is the issue here.

Its the type of prank and its timing, highly unsensitive.

Hi just went to do breaking the ice event for the living story and killed the 3 shamens but the event kept going, and eventually failed

Server does not matter, only time you will find a grind is when you see an awesome skin you like on tp and realise it will take weeks/months of farming to get it.

Most normal players cant afford alot of stuff on tp as it is anway, not everybody wants to farm 12 hrs a day or play the tp.

I have only just heard about why it was disabled after I went to grab 2 skins and I got the disabled message…

My problem with ESO is it sways too much to the MMO side..

The combat (while you can block and swing your sword etc) Is all about the skill bar, that is about as anti TES as it gets..

The whole game is level gated..

Entire zones are blocked off by quests..

NPC’s are static lifeless objects..

Enemies are static lifeless objects..

the zone layout is bad, you should have access to all of your alliance zones from the first starter zone..

Overall they gave a middle finger to the majority of normal TES players to appease the much smaller group of MMO loving TES players and the game suffered..

People wanted an elder scrolls game where you could adventure with a friend or 2, they went too far.

Pretty sure that I’ve spent more hours in the TES universe than most other games combined. If you try to whisper a character named Vivec in GW2, you’ll get me. No I’m just about as hardcore of a TES fan as it gets…

That being said, ESO doesn’t deserve to be called a TES game.

Yeah, I don’t think TES players would necessarily enjoy/like TESO, it’s just way too different from the other TES games because it’s an MMORPG.

Also, TES games were always about their mods that fundamentally change the game, I seriously doubt Skyrim would’ve been such a success without all those amazing mods. But since TESO is an online game, it must remain balanced, so there are no actual mods in the game (only UI “mods”/addons), therefore the highest selling point of a TES game is removed.

More recent TES games have sold heavily on consoles, infact they make pc sales look tiny.. you cannot mod on console.

i love ESO, the lore is interesting, the quests are dynamic, the world is alive all the time.
it even has a battle system that can be used by your self, unlike GW2 it’s not all autopilot.

it’s still to each their own but to say it’s a bad game shows ignorance, clearly there are plenty of ppl saying the exact same thing about GW2 and do like ESO.
i like both, GW2 for the fantasy settings and fast battles and ESO for the lush world and self control of battles.

if anything, GW2 is less what GW1 is while ESO is more so, based on player skill not time and gear.

I love Elder scrolls games and ESO is rubbish, skill bars dont belong in an elder scrolls game, AOE’s dont belong in an elder scrolls game, level gating content does not belong in an elder scrolls game. The world is so static its sad.

NPC’s do not have routines, lives they just stand there or walk back and forth..

Yeah, better just buying new skins from the Tp instead of spending MORE on rng boxes hoping to get a skin tbh.

I’d take a look into how the gem exchange works and why it hasn’t affected the economy..

It does not matter if gold is taken from one player and given to another, players will still pay a higher price because of how easy it is with gem to gold.

I don’t know if I’d recommend downsampling in GW2. IMO the native supersampling AA is good enough. Here’s a very loose comparison:

1080p with SSAA:

The difference is obviously there. If you take a look at the ropes of the windmill, they’re noticeably less jaggy in the 4K screenshot. However, this change makes FPS drop from stable 60 to unstable 30 on my GTX 760, makes the UI tiny and forces you to run the game in fullscreen instead of windowed fullscreen. It’s nice for taking screenshots, but less practical in action, unless you have a very powerful PC and a big monitor.

Ok, so last time I played the frostgorge train was in full swing on deso.

Now I am looking around and struggling to find anywhere that makes gold as fast…

I heard about the silverwastes, but after an hour of trying to figure out what was where etc, I made 1 gold…

Anyone got any tips on how to make a solid gold income in game right now?

If they improve the RNG in game then less people will take to buying gems so they can buy stuff directly from the tp rather than waiting..

Anet never had problem with splited playerbase they are competent and I am sure they will come with something innovative just trust them.

My exact fear if the expansion is NOT paid. When their model is gem shop driven, you get gem shop centric content. If their model is based on selling a couple million boxes or digital downloads, the content itself becomes pivotal.
