We were poking Hills with catas for quite a while with about 12-15 people. Then CNB zoned in and made the final push. It was actually quite a great night in terms of fights. The 10 minute fight at SE camp was probably the best part. You guys were one tick away form capping at one point which was nerve wracking.

Nah I get it, sometimes you just have those stretch of days where you can’t find anything good and you just get zerged non stop or no one wants to stop and fight on their way to an objective. Unfortunately all matchups are very much YMMV in terms of quality for a variety of reasons. My guild has had no problems finding other small fights this week not running more than 6 in a night. I’ve had some really great 1v1s too from DH and SBI, but even then I’d say more than half of them have had someone jump in on the fight and upset the balance, and another good percentage have just run from engagement altogether. It’s just what WvW is to me though so it’s whatever. Overall though it was an exceptionally good roaming week for me.

That’s not what I was talking about. There is a gap in logic explaining one situation but not the other. I’m sure there are plenty of solo-ers that can take out 2-3x themselves, too.

So a solo roamer can be annoyed about not finding 1v1s without there being 5+ to roll them over but small groups can’t be annoyed that a known zerging guild might be around the corner to, you know, roll them over? Ok. It is literally the same idea. Even more ridiculous is being annoyed when you can’t find a solo roamer in WvW but that’s a different argument I guess.

Ok well you can choose to be backhanded about it as I often see with these types of discussions, but really no one person can claim an entire server is “bad” with any type of empirical certainty. All servers are probably mostly the same in terms of skill with the varying factor of population. But confirmation bias is a helluva drug I guess.

I think DH and SBI run more GC-esque builds overall than other servers we have fought (SBI moreso than DH), and KN likes PVT gear so the GC approach hasn’t been too effective in my opinion. I definitely don’t think that means the players as a whole are bad. I’m sure I am only looking at a small swath of players, but that has been my personal roaming experience this week.

I fought 3 or so consecutive DH last night on my necro outside SBI S Bay then some random SBI warrior shows up and focuses me and not the DH I was slowly being surrounded by which was REALLY RUDE and totally ruined my fun. So I called in the guild cavalry to exact revenge. FGJ. But anyway had a good time romping around SBI BL last night other than that. Dat vH and BMS doing some work.

I’m having a blast so far. It’s really nice just being able to kind of forget WPs or other keep upgrades for a week and just fight for the sake of it. I could do this every week personally but I’m kind of a weirdo. I was starting to get bored in our super even matchups with YB et al so this is a good change of pace.
