Whatever happened with QL in EB last night?? Mayoken was deadset on making that his Alamo but I got bored leveling my alt and went off to KBL ~10 PST. Most TC I’ve ever seen in one place though, that whole circling through Danelon thing.

Sadly I don’t think we play at the same times/go for the same kinds of objectives (what is a garrison? it sounds sassy). I can’t win against a mesmer to save my life (literally?) so the situation would likely be reversed. :*(

how’s the queue time for you guys during NA prime time (8PM to 1AM EST)?

I don’t play reset night so I can’t say there. During the week: KN EB queue is about ~10 mins during most of prime time. KBL will queue for a few minutes (5 maybe) most nights around 11pm EST for about an hour. There are basically never queues on enemy BL on KN.

It is not my intention to argue with anyone whatsoever, but last night on FABL whatever fight between TC and FA was going on at Hills was causing ~1sec skill delay on the entire rest of the map. There was a TC army that ran us over near FABL north camp that actually seemed to re-break culling for a second. It was terrifying, painful, but above all hilarious and not to be taken seriously. My point being this is T2 and there are a lot of people regardless of server, so I don’t think of all the silly battles hashed out here that population should be one of them.

These new people don’t want to be here. They don’t want to play sPvP, they don’t care to learn, and they have very little skill. The only reason they are playing in tournaments is to get their 10 Extra Laurels this month. As soon as they have it, they’re gone.

This bothers me. I came back to sPvP for the laurels after having stopped playing it a few months ago because it felt like I was in a CoD lobby on XBL every single match I was in. Your community probably won’t keep very many new players because most of you are horrendously rude in game. A lot of you are very good and I wish I could learn from you, but getting torn down 5 seconds into the match for being a rank 7 doesn’t make me want to communicate or cooperate with you. If you even make it to the point of insulting me that is- most just go AFK completely when they’re not winning with PuGs. Great attitudes. Don’t want to teach people? Fine. But don’t whine when your matches are empty and the noobs don’t know how to play.

So I will probably will stop playing sPvP again, but it sure as kitten isn’t because I got my laurels. I like sPvP, but going by the tone of this forum and in game experience, clearly none of you have the patience for someone trying to learn and this goes for tournaments and regular vanilla matches.

Hope you brought some serious booze to deal with this forum, new sir. You’ll need it.

If the abilities were too powerful, people would’ve whined and rightfully so. People are whining anyway because this is a forum, but game breaking abilities that scare off newer players and further discourage running alts wouldn’t have been the right choice. So I’m glad they’re “boring”.

I don’t really have anything else to say about wxp as I still personally think it will be fun for my guild to have something else to work towards and I don’t see anything wrong with benefiting zergs because they are still an important part of W3. A lot of people don’t like that, so they’ll leave or go to another game mode. Zergs don’t bother me in the slightest, but I am in the smallest of minorities of players who think that apparently. Zerg on, zerglings.

WXP is going to be amazing and loss of culling makes my 3-5 person roaming play 100% more viable. They’ll go hand in hand. It’s not all pro-zerg at all. I’m going to, you know, LIVE more because I’ll see the freight train of red chugging my way and have time to get out of dodge. When small groups that have been roaming for ages without getting run over (because they could see it coming) run into each other, the winner will get tons more wxp off of them since they’ve been alive forever. Makes it more competitive for my style of play. Overall, this is the most excited I’ve been for a patch and I think it’s going to be great.

I’m all in for keeping KN in T2 longer. :P Keep going, TC! Someone report in how amazing life is without culling once it goes live, for I am stuck at a desk and a GW-less computer running XP and IE7.

This has always blown my mind. If anyone takes SM, KN players show up in droves and they do not stop until SM is their again. I have to give them mad props. They LOVE that castle…

Thanks for entertaining Ai and Kain last night in EB north of SMC, TC (TV guild mostly? Maybe it was VT. Something like that). We had a blast. There was anywhere between 6-10 of us playing with you all, sometimes KH would roll through on your side and we’d have to scatter for a bit because holy dolyak there are a lot of KHs. I’ll try to remember to post some screens but I don’t think they’ll be relevant anymore by the time I get around to it.

Staff guardian in a big zerg.

I run a staff on my Guardian but tend to switch to hammer when hitting the enemy. How do you maximize tagging with the staff?

Pop a fat staff 3 symbol in the middle of a group of bunched up unsuspectings, as they scatter staff 1 them all and cackle maniacally as loot rains upon your head so long as the zerg is helping to mop. Got around 15 bags in about 1 minute during a SM defense this week doing that. Bonus fun to corral them into an area with line + ring or warding and staff, staff, staff away.

Rule of salvaging – never salvage an exotic without BL salvage kit. Just sell it if you have anything less, since exotics are so hard to come by, whereas rares (especially with world event chest change) are like candy now. :/

Ikr it was totally n00b status. I just pushed my luck. ;( Salvaged 7 ectos later that night off 3 rares worth less than 20s on the TP so at least I turned a profit eventually.

I wouldn’t mind a foray into T1 to see how we do + the full circle aspect but T2 is definitely our niche. Thinking of our past threads and matchups we were very frustrated often with the tone, everyone seems much happier now that we’re not getting chewed out every other post for playing the game.

When I rolled Kaineng and subsequently spent the foreseeable future being pummeled into the ground, I figured I’d never get to play so many of these other servers that seemed like they had it made up top. TC was so funny, Yak’s seemed like they always had a great time, DB had an intimidating name, etc. So now, I’m glad I got the chance to meet almost every other server in the game during our ascension, put a lot of things into perspective. I still miss the T8 dynamic, the cut-throatness of having nothing to lose is an interesting environment and makes you a better PVPer, faster. But this has been fun too and I’m glad I stuck with it.

The secret is out now, FA drops exotics! I got one last night off of some poor sap I line of warding’d out of his own tower in EB. That will never be fair, but always be hilarious.

This interspecies love is probably frowned upon in a few areas of Kryta.

I’d say Kain is rather divided about where they want to go. I don’t personally want to go to tier 1 at all but I guess I don’t blame others for wanting to if they are in a timezone where they’re not meeting much resistance.

I ran around throwing roses on dead people last night and it was brought to my attention that it could be interpreted the wrong way. Know that I just want an excuse to throw roses around in an obnoxious way and I mean no ill will. For every 1 time a random TC/FA has died I have probably died at least 10 times more so I would never think of myself in a position to gloat. I am a guardian, I am programmed to die.

EB was fun last night, I hadn’t been there in about a month! Though I do wish Kain could field more during the week. I’m sadly part of that problem. Outmanned in lower tier is par for the course but up here it’s a death sentence, yeesh. There was however an excellent defense of our Garrison followed by the Great Grub War. I didn’t get great loot but that was inversely proportional to the fight quality.

SoS I wish I got to know you better this week but your sightings were about as frequent as a unicorn’s. I don’t think that means you didn’t have people but I couldn’t pick you out behind the brick wall of FA.

TC should I be worried about this next thread and just start running far away now? Grudge matches are ugly and generally void of baked goods and pleasantries.

All I know is that the entirety of TC would have one.

Thanks for the fun in SauceBL last night FA. We went to liberate the garrison from you for SoS but turns out we made it to inner just as SoS made it to the Lord from the other side. They weren’t pleased with us being in their house.

Other than that we just sieged up our spawn tower multiple times for funsies. There sure were a metric kittenton of FA around having a grand ol’ time. You guys love to /laugh (no seriously, you guys are always popping up in my chat as laughing all the time), so I’m not buying the hardened war veteran persona when you are all clearly so giddy.

This week should be reeeeaally close. Hopefully it’ll pull back and forth between Euro and Oceanic and keep everyone on their toes. I was completely unprepared for just how many FA were on yesterday. You have to keep at least 3 guys in every tower you own.

I don’t get any items from a dolyak chest at all but I do get auto looted supply.

Could have been running 100nades build which is known to do that. Were you pulled into him first?

An update… I think we’ve figured something out about this. When you drop a yak in W3 and it gives you 5 supply, a chest will appear momentarily. That could explain some of the times it has happened to me where it didn’t seem like I got anything from a chest and I was in a supply camp.

A friendly reminder to Kains that if you don’t like people making assumptions about us, then you probably shouldn’t make assumptions about other servers. We are not on YB/DB/FA, let them speak for themselves.

TC, thank you for letting my party get our monthly Veteran achievement out of the way on your orb platform last night. We appreciated the limited interruptions. Sorry about the yaks. We are conditioned to murder them. It’s a curse, really.
