Throwing the match and backing off are two different things. Giving it all we have would not have made a difference for BG going up this week because a lot of militia/pugs didn’t show up by Sunday of this match because Kain is still pretty volatile. If we realistically could have held BG down then we would have but it was clear early on we wouldn’t have the ability to.

I think your transfers in scared some militia away and we would subconsciously like them to come back. I think some bigger guilds didn’t want to put the time into fighting the inevitable if we were missing the militia so they went to do other things. That was the impression I got. I’d rather you stayed but you are getting pretty hulk beefy for T2.

We’ve already mentioned earlier in the week that clearly some Kains are taking a break for various reasons. Logistically I think it started off to let BG move up, not keep TC. It could end up helping to keep TC in T2 but I don’t believe it was intentional.

No video. It was just such a clusterkitten you couldn’t help but laugh. I don’t remember seeing a lot of TC but it’s possible it was the same fight. We were in north TCBL most of the night so I’m sure we ran into you and promptly turned around and ran away flailing. There were 6 of us causing mayhem.

Yup. Running a staff with my guardian and loot is raining from the skies. Pretty easy to get everyone tagged inbetween empowers and other support skills.

When wooden chests were introduced, any time one would spawn I could swear I didn’t get anything from them and they’d just disappear as soon as I tried to loot them. Mostly, I chalked it up to getting bugged blue or white loot out of them and not noticing it which I saw some people reporting as the case so I figured I’d wait for the patch. But after yesterday’s patch that said only yellows and rarer would be in wooden chests, I still got nothing. I was in W3 and a chest spawned along with a normal loot bag so I looted a white and a blue form the bag, toggled for the chest, and it disappeared. A teammate mentioned maybe I was seeing one of their chests for some reason but no one got a rare or better out of that fight. It makes me sad to see these popping up and seem like I’m not getting anything nice from them. Am I crazy?

Please tell me some BG who read the forums were out at the NW tower in TCBL last night because oh my god I was laughing so hard I couldn’t concentrate and I hope you were too. We were going to mess around and catapult the tower from under the bridge. Naturally, we were caught, but not before an ele tried to slam into me and went over the cliff instead and died. That would’ve been enough and I’m sorry for my /laugh emote but it was just so amazing. Then I was trying to launch an engi off who was trying to stop us only to have 2 or 3 of my party including me feared off to our demise by a necro from above. As we are lying there dead, not 1, not 2, BUT 3 BG either jumped off on purpose or fell off the same exact cliff around our bodies one at a time. And, of course, died. Ahhh I’ll miss the kitten out of you guys. Serious shenanigans.

I recently switched to using the staff about a week ago just as a break from the scepter and even then it had been growing on me. Before that I was just stubborn I guess and only saw it as a speed buffer and nothing else. Now though, I am positively ecstatic about it. Gonna be good.

I wouldn’t completely rule out the possibility of BG also leaving the tier this week. Granted, it’s a long shot right now, but I think it’s still possible. BG’s successfully gone into points-overdrive before, and SoS don’t seem to be doin’ so well.

Kaineng definitely hasn’t had the turnout of the previous weeks so far either, I would add. It’s possible.

You know what the worst thing about that fight was? We FINALLY got it back after giving it such a spacious open floor plan and it was gone in like 15 minutes again. Then we got it back. Then TC took it 30 minutes later. Desk flips were had.

Man I’d be bummed to lose you guys even only for a week. :/ People still, weeks after we’ve faced them, talk about how bad they think we are in the other matchup threads (doesn’t mean you guys or BG don’t think that, which you’re allowed to, you just don’t beat us down with it constantly). Another crappy thread like we’ve had in the past and I throw in my e-towel now that I see how good it can be.

Plus you’re always good for a small fight when we can find it and you really hate it when we slap your yaks in retaliation for slapping ours. I don’t know why.

WvW players don’t pay the bills at ArenaNet. They’ve done a bad job at monetizing WvW. Unfortunately for ArenaNet they need to avoid “pay to win” scenarios but they haven’t figured out what WvW players would purchase on an on-going basis.

I don’t know about that. As someone without a lot of time to play, Anet has got more money through gems from me than I paid for the original game just to help speed up gearing my 80s simply because I feel lucky to even make 2-3 gold a week in W3 in the few hours I can play. If I paid for excotic sets strictly through the money I made in W3 I’d be gearing for months after you take out the money I lose from upgrades and consumables.

Last night we baited TC to us with dolyak escorting in TCBL out of the north east camp. Very effective. Got some good smaller fights out of it but then 3-4 people turned into approximately 1 billion and we died. Those PiNK thieves are a lot of fun! Thanks for helping me break in my freshly 80 engi.

We could just go full Baywatch week with HH, Pamela, and Carmen.

If BG is using Hasselhoff I will exclusively make jokes to myself about Hassling the Hoff every time I am killed by one of you.

If you wanted TC in TCBL they were mostly at their Garrison last night for a good chunk of the NA primetime. I will say they have tenacity in spades

We thought about poking their Garrison a little but decided it would not be in the best interest of a single party. Or in other meme-like words… If you try and smoke TC out of the their Garrison with a 5 man, you’re gonna have a bad time. It just doesn’t work in T2. We could’ve gone with RE or WM, but where’s the roaming fun in that?

One of my favorite parts about last night was TC and BG trying to get our Bay early in the evening, Kaineng finally throwing in the towel once we saw the sea of red and watching on the wall like spectators as you two duked it out in the Lord’s room of our precious keep.

After KBL was declared a Tyrian federal disaster area we went and roamed around in TCBL but ended up running into more BG than TC over there. We made our way to TC’s all upgraded north camp, taking out everything and moving in for the cap, then swarmed by many much more BG than the 6 or 7 we had. We all got away, BG took our cap. Down the east side as we were fleeing we came across 3 TC on 2 BG at the sentry, TC broke off as soon as they saw us and let us sweep up the BG for them. :P

Looks like I won’t be able to debut a lvl 80 charrengi tonight at FC (don’t know if I’ll be there at all tonight :/ )but that’s ok. Next week it is happening. And I even bought the roses.

You guys kept me to north KBL literally all day again yesterday! How are you doing that?! I never stick around there for too long, ever! I never even saw the gates of Hills or Bay. So much love and money poured into Spiritholme. So. Many. Dolyak. Escorts (the babysitting variety, not the 1-900 number variety).They could not be trusted alone because your thieves and eles would kills them so dead. I am so terrible at remembering guild names so it makes giving shoutouts a pain. Suffice it so say there wasn’t a fight I had that wasn’t fun. On Friday I declared a goal of wanting to pop some invaders off some cliffs this week and got a 2 for 1 on 2 thieves on the Stargrove cliff and laughed for what felt like an hour.

To end the night we attempted to break a camp in the EBJP for some cathartic relief. I do think TC got their entire server through before we finally made it to the chest though. Then BG got real mad about all that not being able to get portaled up thing and stormed us with 10 people and it was over. I just waned to see what the log button did jeez. No need to get all murdery. I got a rare from the chest so there.

My guildmates and I were having tons of fun in KBL and I didn’t even realize I had been confined to the northern half of the map the entire time because there was so much going on there. Great work.

For the 1 week I was there… very boring.

Is it the polar opposite of Tier 1? Like instead of having massive zergs of 30-40 people, you have, at most, 5 people per server on each map?!

Perspective: we used to call out DR ZERG HITTING X and that “zerg” was really about 13 people. We had maybe 3 prime time commanders during our time in T8, now we have so many that I see a new one every day. Oh and Cliffside was our Helm’s Deep and all we cared about defending.

My only wish is that TC/BG recognizes who our obvious forum warriors are and ignores them early on. The rest of us are pleasant. Give us a chance, be constructive. Kain, be ready to learn some hard lessons.

TC has always been one of my favorite servers to read about. This is gonna be good! I do hope we are stuck in bottom T2 for awhile as I miss my red side of the map so very dearly. All this blue has been so very un-Kaineng. The green even moreso.

Any Kain still around mostly have assimilated like was said or just kind of shrugged it off and kept doing what they were doing (me) only now with moar extreme queues. The queues alone keep me irritable enough to not play sometimes. I wish we could be T8 again fighting uphill more often than not. I could’ve left and gone back to that and I didn’t. Rolled Kaineng, stayed Kaineng. A lot did leave though. It’s not the same K at all so I understand that not everyone liked the direction we were going in. Other than queues I’m indifferent to the transfers. I play to defend small objectives and fight even smaller and have no intention with alliance-ing it up with any of the new guilds. My guild is left out of the original K conversation 99.9% of the time and it’s not like anyone new will recognize us in game, so I guess depending on your definition of “lost in the crowd”, we fit the bill to a T. Don’t worry though, we’re still out there takin ur towers/camps and meat grindin ur zergs.

I had that login issue yesterday so I couldn’t recount my adventures Tuesday night. Terrible. Anyway I had planned to roam around and it was ehhhh, not so good. Did not find any small DB groups in their BL (understandable as Kain had a large presence there). We tried to poke their north supply camp and weasel a few out but were always met with 10 or more who were not pleased with that idea. I did 1v1 a warrior outside southeast Garrison in the canyon area and barely won. I do not remember his/her guild.

We ran into OG twice. A thief and an ele, but they had better places to be and we didn’t feel like chasing as 5 trebs were hitting Bay at the time. The other was a lone thief (no clue if same one) who entertained me and Draygo’s uplevelled ele for a little bit. Took ele down (rude), it was just me and him, then another guard showed up to finish him and dances for some reason. Sorry about that. You did get a trebuchet tombstone tho, the highest honor short of a golem. I also ran into a GOON in the water but I guess they thought they were alone and swam away when I poked them. That was kind of weird.

Also something about a cave full of warrior kittens but that’s neither here nor there.

I hope I get to fight more than the same mesmer 10 times tonight at FC. Hopefully I can get rematches with the above mentioned yes? No distractions this time.

Have you logged into eb for the past month during reset? If you have you would notice a commander that is leading not from wm and you would only have seen him on only during reset. It is usually two commanders with the icon on. One for the past weeks has been a wm commander normally jang although not always. The other is normally from a really small guild.

Well, no, because I can barely get into a BL after queuing for 2 hours on reset much less EB. But I don’t know what that has to do with differentiating our reset scores from our week scores. Kain is only as good as its weakest players and saying reset Kain is not the real Kain just comes across as an excuse. Even if it’s not an excuse to you that is how it will be interpreted.

I’m going to have to disagree with Kain’s line of thought on this one since you can’t claim WM is a seamless part of Kain contributing to the same score and skill and defend their night presence then turn around and say the Friday night Kains are just a separate entity that don’t really represent real Kain and try and talk off their reset presence. Reset Kain/WM/NA midweek Kain are all the same Kaineng. We are responsible for our pug players as well as our super stars.

I don’t think that made a lick of sense but oh well.

I responded to a similar question awhile ago. I really truly don’t know, but I would have to say there aren’t any at this point that are original roamers. Most of the ones from T8 aren’t around anymore and it’s not easy to spot any small groups with so many on the map at once now, but I don’t recognize 90% of the tags I see from 2 months ago. My guild is Ai, we run on average 4 person parties and like to meat grind towers and camps and are probably the sole supporters of the transformation tonic industry on the TP.

You would have to be only Kain player who doesn’t just zerg everything, seems most Kain only know one thing zerg, how long till people get bored with the same old boring thing day in day out. you can only zerg for so long before you get sick of playing the game I know I was over zerg/siege long long time ago.

Maybe, I don’t know about the rest of ‘em. I’m just a simple old Kain along for the ride playing like I always have. Good strategy in the long run or not (it’s not, I know), it works for the majority of my server right now at this moment to zerg zerg zerg and that’s what they’re gonna do regardless of what else is going on. It is what it is, que sera sera, etc.
