Now, I have only been playing the game for a little less than month so I could be wrong, but isn’t the only death penalty damaged armor? If that is the case, damaged armor isn’t THAT costly and I don’t think accidentally getting damaged armor because the game crashed or logging off when stuck in combat mode on occasion would be horrible considering the exploit that it fixes. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not afraid to admit I’m a noob

It depends on the piece of armor. I’ve noticed the repair costs go up the higher your level is, so I’d wager the more expensive the armor, the more costly it is to repair. I’m not sure what the repair bill is at higher levels though since I keep my alts in level range and they’re all 45-47 currently.

There is also the fact that when you log out of WvW you’re put back wherever you were in the world – and if you weren’t in a city you’d have to pay for waypoint costs too (since you’d be dead). At 45-47 it can be ~60c for short trips.

I’m lvl 80 is full exos and repair costs after the first break and everything else damaged is 11s and change.

Lately I have been doing similar Mampie. Though for me it is mostly spending my wvw time running back and forth repairing walls after our team defended a place then moved on to counter attack. Someone has to do it :P.

It’s that thing called “Sleeping” or “Working”. Hope you enjoyed beating up doors. I imagine they killed half your zergs while the few people went and took some undefended things because they stood no chance against your Zergs.(Make the claim you want of not outnumbering people, considering the time you took the stuff, there’s no one on Kaineng then.)

Pretty much… we were basically defending Bay for the majority of the afternoon yesterday while trying to push their zerg out of north KBL. We celebrated getting a single Dolyak into it in 2 hours of trying. DR zerg cycled through the north for hours, me, a guildmate, [BC], and some others (sorry I can’t remember who else) tried and tried and couldn’t rally the support to cut them off for good (since Bay was constantly flagged). It got old, so a lot of people went to EB for the remainder of the night, myself included. :/

Had a great fight against some [RED] last night at the post north of Dawn’s tower in KBL. All I could say afterwards to my teammates who arrived at the last second was “that was awesome!”. Won the 1v1 (+ the sentry :P) against an engi, waited at his corpse as he called over 3 buddies then fought them off too. Whoever you guys were, I hope you had fun too.

The Greyjoys are two timing cowards, who fold up if pressure is applied. The Greyjoys bravest and boldest moments are when old men and crippled children fall before them. This is not something that K should aspire for, but I suppose that it would be a step up from what it currently is.

Keep fighting, you are good at it, and you know you are good. I see how awesome you are and how hard you try every day that I am busting my puppy out there with you, you’re just a little sad and dejected right now is all. Don’t let this blahblahblah-ing get in the way. Bunch of hot air. Just worry about how you, as an individual Kaineng member, play. Take this opportunity to listen well and learn from the mistakes you make while you can still afford to make them, because you won’t be here at the bottom forever. There. That’s all the bubbly, nauseating positivity I can afford for the week. :P I take donations to replenish the good vibes, they could even be tax write-offs as a charity case if you twist it a certain way.

Went 4v12 the other night at a supply camp that wasn’t ours, trying to be taken by the other server who it didn’t belong to either. Wiped the floor with their faces, we all got away as the defending server started to show up, then got a defense medal for the camp that we didn’t even take. Then took the adjoining tower next to server who did own the supply camp’s spawn, and held it for 20 minutes, while watching the other two servers fight each other for it. Then got rushed by the invader server once they took out the defending server, wiped about 5 more out of a 20 man rush, and STILL one of our guys got away to fight another day. :P

I’ve been playing a guardian since day 1 on my server and it is hard to feel powerful, I agree. I’ve tried many, many things too, and was starting to just get annoyed with how useless I felt. But within the last few weeks I’ve really had a great time going more melee with a hammer/gs. I am surprising myself at how much more mobile the hammer is than what I originally thought. Switching between that as gs you always have a gap closer on hand, along with hammer 3 and 5 which locks players down. It does not take me very long to down anyone with this load out, most hits aside from the first 2 swipes in gs/hammer 1 are 800-1100 damage.

Right now I run Cleric’s armor with Dolyak runes, half berserker jewelry for hard hitting and half toughness/vit specced jewelry (forget what it is called). I like to engage huuuuuge groups and can at least down ~3 in a go, but more importantly tenderize the front line for the stronger to sweep up. I use Save Yourselves + Contemplation of Purity after a few seconds (so the condition damage/boon strippers are tapped out before I engage these skills) to be in boon city for a few more hits before falling back to recuperate with Renewed Focus. We are very symbiotic with small parties because we can switch to support on a dime and let others take over after meleeing some foos, just don’t expect to go it alone and get anything done. And as far as I’ve played, not like you mentioned this but oh well, you’ll have to accept always being the Gandalf of your group. Just think “fly you fools!” as your group gets away and you face the music because let’s be real, we couldn’t outrun a rock.

TL;DR: we are meat tenderizers and Gandalf.

As an aside, I do have the most fun running with a mesmer or shout warrior, as that has been quite the trio of survivability in my experience. Sorry if this wasn’t helpful, just came at the right time as I was switching some stuff up after facing your same problem.
